Let's Talk Cars Radio on WKQA Freedom Radio. I'm your host, Big dat
He hanging out with Camera Chaos and Nate VB. It is a great Saturday
for a car show. It's a great Saturday to listen to us on a
car talk radio show. You know, you ever get to that point where
you're getting ready to have something important you gotta do and all eyes are on you, and then you realize or something out of the corner of your eye and uh, you just can't help but watch it all go down. Yeah,
I was watching Nate mess around with the microphone stand and apparently his ADHD or something was picking in and the microphone was bugging him, and I could tell he was reaching around looking for like the bottom like pad or something for it was it was, it was just there's no even I'm trying to figure out why it's. I think it's just like I think. No, I
think it's the way he's sitting on the table. I don't know it.
I was watching me. He's like messing, He's he's working his eye around,
he's lifting it up left and right to see if it was on even one eyeballing in like I know, he was squinting. He was trying to
figure it out. And I couldn't stop but laughing. And it was the
point that it was it's not distracted to me, but it makes me want to laugh. So I'm trying to like spit everything out that I need to
say, dope, dope and the show up and trying to hold that in my head. Why I'm watching the mess with it, and it was kind
of funny. So Yeah, anyway, guys, we have been so busy.
I tell you what, you know, these last couple of weeks, have you guys been seeing We've been everywhere. We've been car show to car
show to car show we have. Last week we were live at a car
show. Yeah, I mean, if you guys heard that. This weekend
busy again with a bunch of car shows. So yeah, you know,
hey, if we spot you, you know, come on down to talk to us, Flag us down, let us know that you guys there, come say hi whatever. I mean, we are constantly everywhere, guys,
and you never know where we're gonna be next. It has been absolutely crazy.
Tons of friends we've been seeing that we haven't seen in a while, tons of cars we haven't seen out there in a while, new cars we haven't seen. I mean, it has been absolutely crazy. And I'm telling
you it's just gearing up. We're only in the spring. Summer's right around
the corner. Is going continue to get even more busy. We have a
lot of different places, a lot of people asking us, hey to come out, Can you guys be here? Can you guys be there? So
we're looking forward to the fun and you know we're trying to Yeah, we're definitely trying. We're definitely trying to be playing on our calendars. Yeah,
we're The calendar has been loaded up and more people are adding more stuff to our lists, so which is great. I mean, we're not complaining by
any means, but it's just trying to be everywhere at once. It's definitely
first Wheels and Rios. It went yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
came and it went. Um. Hopefully you guys got a chance to enjoy
it. If not, there's plenty more coming out there, So just keep
on looking at the calendar and keep your guys eyes focused on it. Like
I said, as I told you guys, we are hosting two of those this year. So like I said, I think ours is August and then
we have another one in October. I will keep you guys informed. I
love to see you guys come out and hang out with us. I want
to get to the point where we fill that parking lot up with cars and make it worth all the effort that goes into doing those events. Um,
it's a big time, big time, just a lot of different stuff going on, a lot of different cars shows. Like I said, you guys
are gonna see us pop up at a bunch of different events. So if
you have something you guys want us to be out at, do not hesitate to go ahead and buzz cameer and sending the information over to him m Let's Talk Cars Radio. You can also email us, um, I know a
lot of people email us. You can email me at Cameron at Let's Talk
cars Radio dot com. You can email Dave at Let's Talk Cars Radio.
We're trying to get meat one set up. We're just not wanting to put
Nathaniel. We want to put neat BB so NEATVB Let's Talk Cars Radio,
you know, just anyway to get hold. People are been sending us messages.
They've been sending us everything like hey I got this event, I want you guys out there, stuff like that. So the calendar is filling up,
and like I said, there's a lot of popups and stuff that aren't even you know, people just like hey, I'm having this pop up.
And then we try to hop up and get over to the pop up stuff too. So we're we're just trying to be everywhere. Plus, as you
guys know, there's you know, there's out of town stuff that we're trying to get to. And then we got Vegas coming soon. So you know,
there's a lot of different stuff that we are just trying to be everywhere too. So it's hard to be here to locals, it's hard to be
out to the out of town stuff and get there. So you guys know,
the show plays nationwide, so it's just not the stuff here is trying to figure out how to beat some of the stuff that's on the other side, stuff that y'all can't get, stuff you guys can't get too. So
we're trying to be everywhere we can. Um but like I said, it's
been it's been fun. It's just a daunting schedule for this year and um,
well, we'll see where it leads us and what we end up doing.
Everybody has, you know, schedule only five months in y'all seven months still six months still like still like seven months slept. I think it's I
don't know, the calendar's going by quick. So anyway, Yeah, so
I want to jump right into it, guys. I got some crazy stuff
for you guys. I'm ready to blow your guys's mind uh this Saturday.
Huh. So I'm ready you guys, ready to have you guys mind blown.
Look, so we've talked about some crazy You know right now, this is not a knee slapper. This is a mind blower. There's a difference
between a knee slaper and a mind blower. This is gonna blow your both.
It better be both. So I know, I believe you told me
you watched this show, right And Cameron and I were talking about before you got into the studio to day. So you've you've seen that show The Good
Place? Yes, okay, okay, good show? What if I told
you that? And if you guys haven't seen it The Good Place, at
least you may need to go at least look up at episode one episode.
It's on Netflix to understand what I'm talking about. But there's a TV show
called The Good Place. And then Cameron brought up what was the other show
you talked about, Cameron? So I don't know what show it is,
but it's basically these people going around and all I can remember is the one scene of this guy coming back and he's like, oh, you're back, and he's like yeah. Every time, he's like, what's good to see
you, and he pushes like a little up and down arrow nametag and gives him an up vote. That's what they call it. And he's like,
huh, thanks, And then it's like following this girl where she basically keeps getting down votes, you know, and she's like, I don't want to go to the unknown, you know, out what's I know? All right?
Okay, so he was talking about he was talking about a TV show that he saw, like that The Good Place. If you haven't seen,
I'll give you just a quickly rundown. Um. Basically, there's a point
system where you go to heaven or Hell. It's basically the way it works,
and why you're on Earth. You gained points for how you behaved in
the things that you did, and you gained points, and if you got enough points, you went to Heaven. If you didn't get enough points,
you based one to hell. That's the easiest way to explain it, right,
Yeah, Okay, well what if I told you? But what if
I told you that there was something like that in place already in life that was already tracking you, or had the potential to track you already in life, but what you weren't going to Heaven or Hell. It just determined if
you're a person, if you're a good person or not. How do you
track that okay, hold on, because you can't. You can't track hold
on. Hold on there, buddy. And if that process and the process
of it tracking rather you're a good person or an not a person. It
it tracked your social points system, which was car connected interaction records everything everything you did, and it's car connected, which then determines like what kind of car you may drive, be able to drive in the future, your insurance, the way that you're ticketed, every single thing, it's done on a point scale up or down, and all that's all connected and you have no say so over it Onceoever, what if I told you there was a system
like that that already existed, would you believe me? My name's Bob and
I'm not in It depends where you're going with it. Just it's a simple
question and into the you could do it. I mean, okay, no,
I'm gonna say no. You say no. Okay. So you know
how it's such a big thing for car connectivity to be huge. They really
want to get all the cars connected together. Okay, you know, we're
we're this is a huge push. And I know you guys think I'm nuts,
and I'm not. I'm being dead serious about this. We are in
a big push to connect all of our cars together, to get them on a grid and everything talk to each other. Right, We're not just cars,
just more everything does everything in general, everything, everything in your things to be connected. But we we are in the I mean your fridge,
I mean, I mean think about how you know it fridge is. I
mean you're washing chines, all those things got techno yours. But we are.
Okay, let me back up. Let me just take you guys two
steps back for a second. We you would agree with me that we have
a really big tendency to push ideas through movies and TV shows to get us used to it before we bring it online in real life. Okay, agree
you guys. We've talked about this on this show. I believe a lot
of things that we do. We bring out movies, we get us used
to the idea, and then we bring it out and invent it in real life that we were already used to it and doesn't seem weird. Okay,
if you go back through history, a lot of things, you know, I watches, cell phones, all that kind of stuff, the communications any A lot of things that we've seen in movies were in movies way before flat screen TVs. I mean, take a look at it iPads. You know,
George Jetson was was using an iPad and cartoons before we ever had them, you know what I mean. So a lot of things they weren't like
when we came out. It wasn't like, oh my god, look at
this. Yeah, we already saw them in TV and stuff like that before.
So when they came out, which kind of used to the idea, it wasn't like blowing our mind kind of right. You had to get used
to it, right, We had to get used to it right. Okay,
So would that be in the case with I think we do that in a way to get us used to things. So rolling back. Connectivity has
been a huge, huge thing for a while. Okay, we are so
quick to want to have connectivity and get everything connected. Tesla's the main player
of it. Okay, Well, because they're not a car company, y're
notechnology technology. Then you exactly why I was saying why you're saying that,
Because they're not a car company. Their tex So if you were on a
social platform scale that judged you up or down, and then everything was connected.
Okay, So you guys know that we're in a big push to stop using cash and to use everything is moving electronic, electronic. Okay, so
this all comes you see Bush Guards just came out with the Okay, I know, just stay with me. So if there was a system that you
were judged on a social scale by what kind of car you drove, the way that you drove that car, and I was able to track I'm not, but I'm gonna be kind of close to that. And I was able
to track every single thing that you did, and I was able to give you a rating based upon your actions, judge you upon that rating, and then go back interaction in everything all based upon that. Just but it's all
done through electronic. I was able to just track everything through electronic. Right,
So my question, anything is not electronic, how are you going to judge it? I am, but I will be because everything. My question
is anything that's not electronic? How are you going to judge it? Walking
on the street and I have the old lady out and so that's not on my phone, So how are you going to judge that? On a character?
Oh, I'd be able to see it, but someone has to see it. We're gonna see it. Okay. So you're gonna go up to
the man and be like, sir, what is your name? So I
can update? No? All right, so back do you guys know?
Flat screen TVs have cameras in So there's a system that exists right this second.
And that's the reason why I believe car connectivities is so important. There's
this system right now has facial recognition in it that they can already put with inside cities that can watch every single thing that you do, everything from crossing the street so like China and stuff like that. So if you are walking
down the street right yeah, but then you start getting into infringing on people's friend you are, you are to a certain degree. This is where I'm
going to blow your mind. And this is the reason why I think car
connectivity is huge and really really important. There is a system this already exists,
so they don't have to create this. This already does it, all
right, I agree, Okay, So there's only so many places you can implement it. No, I mean, I agree, probably doing it and
it's not. So that's the problem. This is how implementing car connectivity becomes
so important. Okay, it it's really really important I think for everybody on
the other side, not us. Is it just car connectivity or is it?
Because here's how, here's how you stop money and you generate everything through cars. So you guys understand that hars generate a huge ticket base. There's
one camera I think in Illinois right this second, that is generating like five million dollars off of one like one camera off of one camera, right, Okay, so imagine if you but that's not really that's not judging though, that's just okay, you cross a line before it is, because every time you get a ticket, you're already getting judged by a driving score where they minus one point. Guys, hold that thought for a second, because there's
no way we're getting through this in a one segment. I gotta take a
quick commercial break when we come back. You guys are gohana hang onto this
because it all comes together and it's insane the way it all comes together in one package. So whole tight. I'm gonna take quick score commercial break when
we come back. I'm gonna waddle us together in one little ball. Whole
tight. You're listening to Dave Collaune on Linch Cars Radio. Dave will be

Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio. You're automotive specialist. Now back
to your host, Dave Palach. Hey, guys, welcome back. All
right, So, as promised, I knew we weren't gonna get through this one segment. And Nathaniel's chomping at at the Yeah, he's during the during
the commercial, during the commercial break, he was he was, he's beating me up. He's like, explain to me how this all comes together because
it doesn't make any sense because we're not a communist country. I'm like,
you're right, hold on, I'll tell you. I'll come to Heather.
Wow, just set it out. Let you remember we're international right in China.
So I was like, okay, well, of course they can do it because you know they got all that freedom. Hey, whoever's are but
just about to say whoever downloading the shows in Canada, we see you, yell you how this all comes together? Okay, so you would agree with
me. We're already using traffic hams and sending you a ticket, right right,
So in other countries are able to hold hold on, hold on, take that out of your bank. That already kind of feels a little communist,
right, I mean it kind of not really, it kind of is because you're just what you're seeing. It's invading your privacy. That's not what
I'm saying, Okay as a link because it's not. It's not invading because
it only shoots and records when a No, it's something you know, it's not finish the state, regardless regardless of I'm saying, what's in it public hands. We don't physically know, right Okay, But at the end of
the abandon the bit, it's only saving, say saving and sending you what you did wrong? Okay, book, Okay, time out. Do you
think hold on, hold on, hold on? There's no way that the
cameras that they already have on every single traffic light. There might be one
two that don't have them, okay, but basically every traffic light has a camera. Are you going to tell me those cameras are not recording that there
is a person sitting in front of that monitor watching. It's probably probably,
but not publicly. It's not publicly open you. Yes, it is five
one one cameras. You can now see every sea. I can probably already
go out there and create a system that will connect to five one one cameras that will scan a license plate every time it goes. But that is only
what's happening right then, and they're not saved and logged. Here's the thing,
Like I said, it's probably not publicly, so all right, so you're right, it probably does save it, but not you're not getting that.
You're not accessing. So here's the thing. Let's get back to it.
So there's so let's just say you interact the system, right, and the system scores you based upon everything that you do driving, and it can face facial recognition, it can look, it knows it's you, it knows it's your car, it's your license plate and is everything, and it starts to keep score everything that you do, right, okay, and automatically just send you a ticket for every single thing you do, you speed boom ticket.
It knows the speed limits this amount of speed in this area everything.
If you break it, it just automatically just send you a ticket, and it's keeping score of you on a social on a social level of this guy continuously speeds, Let's just send him a ticket. Now, let me do
it like they do it and hook it up to your banking account. Every
time that you break the law, we just automatically deduct from your banking account for your infraction. Who does that? That's what other countries, countries,
countries, Yeah, hold on, country, I got you. You gotta
realize, hold on, hold on. It's a fine line, okay,
but you gotta realize there's a fine difference, because what's the difference, Like I said, the fine right, right, I got you. I got
you when I pay my fine. The fine line between that, right is
that they they caught you. You did it wrong. You paid it up
right and up right, and but you literally did it knowing that someone was there. Right, What you're talking about is that unwillingly knowing that you're being
filmed to catch you and the wrong. That's not what they're doing right now
though. Okay, but that's where that's where the line is. Though.
You're in there, okay, so here's like, so you people are people, You're okay with the people on the Arabian there and catch no, I'm not now there they're gonna take your money. You're like, I'm not okay.
I know, I'm not okay with it. What I'm saying, though,
is on the edge of the law. It's acceptable. This is where
you're talking about where connectivity changes people's mind. This is seriously where this is
where means are you seriously? This is where they're gonna draw the line.
They're gonna draw the line because now, if you make connectivity that strong, where the car is connected, and it's keeping score, truly keeping score on a social score of Now I'm tracking the car, I'm tracking the person, and everything they do is on a social score, and I'm going to use that social score against them or for them in their favor one way or the other. And I'm like, okay, speed, it's forty five the car
is now entered into forty five mile an hour zone. It's hit fifty five
miles an hour ticket boom, bank account, subtract money and say, so, what's what's stopping me from just getting the car that doesn't do that?
You're not that's what that's what they're trying to push forward to. That's what
I'm just trying to say this, Well, the government or well who is who? Well, you know, the government's pushing towards ev electric cars.
All that kind of who's pushing the program will be the end ending push.
Okay, so the government will eventually pushed towards that. So let's just say
that that's where it's at and everything's connected, and then we get you know, we can do a way with doing cash money, and now we're going to move towards electronic money. Right, So of course there's no way to
get around it because everybody will be forced to have electronic money, all right, but I want to be tied. It all will be tied everything.
I mean you physic, but you physically would have to put your own cards in your card. Now, once they're not, they're not, I'm not.
In the end, it's all going to be connected the end. And
other countries have already tested this. I got you in other countries that have
no freedom, Like I get you. You have that makes sense in what
other countries? Yeah, what you don't understand is we are forced to keep
up with what other countries do okay, but we are forced but keep up without other countries. We also defer in multiple ways that we see is unfit
or unright, or that we think is bettering for our citizens. We we
I want to say that all the time, and so I could be having in the past. But the main scope of it is that we try not
to. But in fringe on that, we are always forced to keep up
with the technology that other countries are doing. We are forced now we try
to lean into things and try to keep it where it's best because we are free, free mission. Do I think that we might use it? Yes,
it's up, but not the full extent. Do I think that there
might be I told you this was gonna make you all think I told you when I opened this topic of this gonna mean it's a possibility, But it's not. It's not going to be everything that all their countries have because there
is limits to where there is limits, people will not what they can do before there is limits. But think about this, the big push for connectivity
in cars and each car to talk to each other, and those cars to be able to talk to buildings, and those buildings to be able to talk to all the cameras they want to put in It makes you stop and think, holy account. And now that we're sitting here talking about it, and
we go. Other countries have already had this technology, and other countries are
already subtracting money directly from people's banking accounts when they jaywalk and they do all kinds of stuff. They already have that ability, and they've already tested it
and they've already done it. Now you take the connectivity of cars like they
want to put into it, and you that same system of you you sped, you went fifty five and in a forty five Boom, it's this car belongs to Nathaniel deduct us from his pay you know, from his banking account, charge at Boom. Just come minutes down the road, sped again and
this is you know, Boom deducted and have that just capability. We're connecting
cars with subscriptions right right. We now want cars to also have our credit
cards on file to be able to pay for drive throughs and stuff. People
said, people, I know people. People said no to that, right,
but what did you do? So did you know master card? You
master card and v which will be because right, but that's not stop thinking like that, because we're not. But one hundred of years, we keep
saying, one hundred of years. We thought what we're talking about right now
would be fifty years from now. I don't, I didn't. I didn't.
People people did though, people right, But behind the years from our fifty years from hour, ten years from now, and here we are, Hello, it's right at our doors. But there's there's some there's some holes
in it. You're like, they're not, they're not. They're not put
your card on file without your permission, and it take take from you.
That's just it's never gonna happen. That's a that's a lawsuit waiting, really
think because they're doing let me ask you, right, other countries where you have no say, right, it's different, but you're in a middle.
I got you. You're in a country, right, but you right,
But you us as a mass won't stand. We've seen it time and time
Mber again. As as a matter, you do not remember being forced in
our homes during COVID. Not everybody, not everybody. It was the ones
that win. Look, I'm just saying that like we like sheep, like
sheep, those those being like those that followed. Look not everybody. You
know, I'm saying, Look, I'm not and I'm not using COVID as as as the be all of explanation everything. Look, we all need to
survive, and y'all know I got COVID, almost died from it, so I'm not joking about it. But if you're trying to tell me that people
won't mass follow what the government tells them they have to do, I mean that's I'm not saying they won't, but I'm also saying that that the mass won't follow either. So you have you're gonna have, you're with divide,
You're gonna have people that stand for it stand against it. But it's crazy
when you think that the technology already exist. They've already tested in other countries
and shown, Hey we have this technology. It's face recognition. You cross
the street, you jaywalk ticket, here you go, you don't. Oh,
here's your banking account. I took the money from you. You have
no say so. The technology exists now we car connect everything together and I
can just do it anytime you speed whatever I want. I just take the
money from you. You have no say so. There's no trial, there's
no there's no nothing. I just take the money from you have a nice
day. That's crazy when you think about it on that level, and that
blows I told you it's a subject that completely can just blows your mind.
It is I told you, you're smiling, but you do, all right.
It is a sight I don't see. I see us implement some aspects
of it, not the whole. Just the fact that you want you could
implement the smallest fragment of that. Guys, the smallest fragment of that you
could implement. That is enough for me to go, uh, say what
you're gonna do? What I mean? When I heard about the very first
cameras to take pictures of my car and send me a ticket in the mail, I was like, that's never gonna work. How are they gonna do
that? And I don't know, I probably got four or five of them
in the mail since they've existed. Some of the stupidest stuff. I'm like,
wait a minute, I California rolled that. I thought you could California
roll. And people are like, you're not in California. I'm like,
oh, well, yeah, yes, you're right, I'm not in California.
I mean, come on, guys, I mean seriously, this is like real stuff. I mean, I I'm mind blown by it. Maybe
it's just me, but I mean, I'm just like, I don't know.
I just can't believe that here we are sitting there talking about this and this is something that really is happening, happening really, I mean, I don't even know where even where to go with it. I sat and I
read a lot about this stuff. I dug really deep down the rabbit hole,
and it still mystifies me. Maybe it mystifies you too. Let me
know. I gotta go ahead and take QUI commercial break. When we come

two years, if you listen to the show, you've heard me talk about my dream house. It has been a great experience buying land, building my
house, even selling my old house. One thing I didn't tell you about
was the real estate agent that I used. I used Bob Bartem from the
Perfect House Team in the real Estate Group. It's been one of the best
experiences I've ever had. Bob has been there for us from beginning to end
and treated us just like family. Telling you you've heard me talk about this
because it has been one of the truly best experiences that I've had. If
I did not choose Bob, I don't think that I would have all the best things to say about building this house. So if you're looking to buy
or sell a home, definitely give Bob a call at the Perfect House Team in the real Estate Room. You can contact Bob at seven five seven four

to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist. Now back to your host,
Dave Palach Hey, guys, welcome back. So if you all have
been enjoying that heated conversation, we're about ready to get into another one.
You already so Cameron will absolutely remember this. I won't say we joked about
it. It just was one of those things where I was like, I
don't know if that's it's gonna take off, if that's going to be a big thing. But then here we go because I'm gonna get some hate mail
over it. But go ahead, take a look at some of our cities,
guys. Take a look some of the big cities and look what they
are. I mean, they are just, um, I don't know,
shameful. I guess it's the best way to put them. If you guys
don't think so, you can disagree with me, but if you take a look at some of our biggest, greatest cities, you know, I hung out in Chicago a very long time in my life. I wouldn't dare paying
out downtown Chicago right this second unless I had probably this next subject, but armored vehicles. Do you remember, Cameron, when we talked about the armored
vehicles and they were just they're kind of gimmicky. People were making them,
but it was like would you own one of those? One of those conversations
we had. They were too thick, right, right, But remember like
there was a couple companies were just starting to make them. This is what
the three years ago or so, and they were just starting to make it three years ago. Yeah, yeah, about three years ago. About three
years ago. They're back on the rise, and they are no joke,
and they are like riding around the most luxurious vehicle like when we first saw them, but they were too expensive. Yeah, they're well they still are
expensive. Well, when we first saw them, it was like riding around
in a like a tank. I mean they took a you know vehicles,
big SUVs and kind of they are more tank like anything else. Or they
made like the windows really thick and stuff like that. Now take a look
what's out there, guys. So now you have vehicles they have made.
Plushes can be on the inside. I mean they're like super limos in the
inside, and they're big SUVs and they can get hit with freaking missiles and all kinds of stuff. And I mean but people are buying these like for
regular drive vehicles at home, so like this is soccer mom stuff, Like I mean it's insane. But people are seriously buying them, Like, who
do you have looking for you? Who do you? You don't you don't
have anybody looking for you. That's the problem. You literally have people.
So you have people who are buying these things. They're running right about one
hundred and fifty five thousand dollars for one. But you have regular a lot
of money. Hold on, but it's not it is, but it isn't.
You have regular people buying them, not really for a tank though, but they're not even a tank if you take a look at them. I
mean they're built like a tank, but they're like that shov And people are buying them to drive to work, to drive their kids to school in them because of the cities that they live in. But has anybody actually put one
to the test, Yes they have. Anybody want to actually take in a
tank? So in fired, here's the side of that car if it was
like, oh no, it doesn't wipe out your kids if you go.
So if you go to some of the sites, you'll see where they've actually like done like a bunch of ballistic testing on them and their own look like they're no. The one guy that one one my approval was the guy that
built the bulletproof windshield and he's like, watch, I will even stand behind it. And he gives his employee the automatic and like the employee has a
belt full of AMMO and unloads like at least five clips into the windshield and the guy steps right from behind it and he's like, see I'm still alive.
Well this is beyond this is beyond that though, So this is like, I mean, this is a vehicle. Like people are buying these and
keeping them as everyday vehicles. Like like I said to drive to work d
like, I mean just but you're repair shops have to be changing now because a lift a lifts not lifting that. I mean like vehicle you're gonna she
got it from to be service centers like I mean, you can change the oil and stuff like in them, but they have armor plating in front of the engine, so if you try to shoot that, you're not taking off the engine in it. I mean, they're they're played at the doors.
The windows are bulletproof, but inside of it it's like nine plush and they got like TVs for your kids to watch and stuff like, I mean, like they're no joke guys and when I say so, the one company that we looked into before I talked about the story and stuff. I was taking
a look at it. They're booked out, like they're booked out to build
them through the rest of the year, because that's how many you've been ordered, Like they're you know, you know, you build them and they'll come and they will come and people and so you know, I was, I was looking into it, and it was They're like, there's not an ended supply of people who want them, and so I was like, who wants them? Like I don't understand, Like I'm trying to wrap my head around
it. Probably just high authority people. No. No, like you say,
like your next door neighbor wants one. I'm not talking like high end
people like your extraor neighbor wants one. Lives in one of these cities that
has he's got prob and he's ordered one. Is your city that bad?
You need free? Glanswer is the answer? Is the answer that they're getting
is yes, it is that bad. It's it is It's unfortunate. It's
yes, it is very unfortunate that like they have their regular cars that they drive, but when they got to actually drive down to go to work where they work at in the city, that's what they drive to work. You
got to realize, you're like, I'm trying to wrap my head around it, because it is really it is hard to wrap your head. You got
Atlanta, you got Chicago, you got New York, you got DC.
These are the only places that like, and I'm just naming is not bad, but like Colorado, certain places, and I don't know certain I don't I don't know how bad it is now. I can't speak of it now.
I know I've seen Chicago's rough. I mean Atlanta is rough, is
it? Yeah? Being rough? I don't have to see. But maybe
I'm not seeing some of the stuff. But like I can understand, like
some of the videos I've seen some of these major cities, Like I could understand if you had if you got to go and you work in an office building down there or something like that, that does I gonna understand maybe yet, But like I mean, they're literally talking. These are regular people.
I mean just they're they're not millionaires. These people aren't like filthy rich.
These people have I mean, they're not poor. They make you gotta have
any thousand dollars truck well okay, we sell the right hold on not really though, let's let's let's be honest. So if you go to buy a
tripped out you know, Chevy truck nowadays, and you get it with everything on it, so like that you're close to eighty thousand dollars, are I mean a couple of cars. You're still not far. You're not far.
Eighty thousand to one fifties still not a huge stretch. It's not a huge
stretch from eighty to one fifty. It isn't one fifty. Is you just
bought your wife and you bought yourself to just say, eighties not a farm.
That's a lot. I mean, you're ten k away from it's I
understand. But it's not a huge jump. You just it's it's like if
you bought you and your wife a car at the same time. It's what
I'm trying to say, it's not a huge jump, but that would only cost me like sixty to eighty. It's not a huge jump. I'm just
trying to say, one time of a car. Well, you know,
you can't get nothing, not talking about like four hundred thousand dollars or something that's bulletproof and you can run through a brick wall, you know what I mean? Like right, I mean, you know it's yeah, it's ninety
seven. I was just looking at the statistics. Ninety seven percent of vehicles
are now above sixty thousand dollars. When you take the statistics from twenty eighteen,
it was at sixty two percent was above sixty thousand dollars. We jumped
a whole thirty two percent in vehicles above sixty thousand. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah. But you also got to think about like the technology that
are more cars there was ten years ago changed, guys, don't right out, no, you gotta pay for that, Like me say, you know chip shorts. I know we've been hearing that a bunch, but that has
to do something with a little bit of it. I mean, there's there's
a lot of you know, plays that got us a six chip shortage one more time. I mean, have you heard the news about it? I
hear we're in the newest business. What are you talking about? But you
know, from twenty ten to twenty twenty, you know three now and stuff.
You know, you got two more, four more touchscreens in the car.
You got all these new safety features and stuff. I mean of course
the car's gonna cost you know a little bit more. I mean, you
know it does. I'm just saying like it's funny because we used to talk
about bulletproof vehicles being like something you saw on like GTA or something like that, and then before you knew it, like somebody was making a cup of what we always saying video games and movies, and before you know it, it's like now they're like a real thing. I mean, look, I
ain't gonna lie if I buy one, just so I could roll up and be like he he he, but I'd let you know, like you no doubt you know mine was bulletproof. I'll be riding around with it like with
the bulletproof on it like i'd be. I'd buy a brand new one,
take the passengers side and light it up with an automatic and be like it's bulletproof. I'd like the word like I had a ghosted like black, you
know what I mean, Like the military, nothing like they do on crates, bulletroof something quotations kind of cool. But there's certain towns sometimes I'm testing
I'm testing it. I ain't catching a charge. Uh yeah, I fee
would be like really cold, let's test it. You know, you'd be
sitting stop. I'll say you here, pink dude me to say that you're
seeing that stop like are you hearious? They'd be like, oh, it
is bulletproof, and they're just You're they're jaming out. You're like, get
out to go to the grocery store and see the whole side of your car lit up. You're like, man, when did that happen? When?
When movie imitates life or life imitates me, You're not asking your wife about scratches anymore. You're asking them about bullets there exactly. Hey, guys,
I told you you can't make some of this stuff up. And it's crazy,
just some of the things I've been in the news and I'm just reading.
I'm like, come on, man, really, it's been one of those type of week. On that note, I gotta take another commercial break.
It's going by quick. You guys, hold tight. We're gonna jump
back into it just right after this commercial break. I'll talk to you soon.
You're listening to Dave Collach on Let's Talk Cars Radio. Dave will be
right back. Okay, guys, it's time to change up Liberty's commercial.

JF. Whitlow and Sons Incorporated. Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio,
your automotive specialist. Now back to your host, Dave Palach. Hey,
guys, welcome back. All right. If you guys haven't had enough
of recapping things or talking about things that just keep on coming back around, well here's some more for you. I got a topic. All right,
you ready? Shoot? Did y'all see the video about the Kia Boys,
But there was a video that came out this week where the Kia Boys were, I guess, whipping a car side to side in front of us.
Hold on, hold, if y'all don't know what the Kia Boys are, those are the what they've nicknamed the ones who steal all the keys, all the keys now calling the keyaboard Now it's Hondai's rhyme. Did we really have
to make her rhyme? I guess I don't know, but that's what that's
what they're called. We're just calling the bandage scary on. So they were
we even side to side, and I guess they were in front of a school where a school bus was just letting off kids and they clipped the whole back of the school bus car rolled. They tried hopping out car had other
plans took it looked like they took the driver underneath the car with That's how the video ended. Someone didn't know if you guys shortn't up. I saw
the Somebody sent me one where like semi truck was carrying two lightpoles and the light poles went right through the semi truck. Somebody sent me that video.
I was like, oh, do you see the two homeboys buckled up into the back of a box truck. You didn't see that? You get there?
Yeah, there was two guys and there was a guy going down the highway and he's like, look at her homeboys, And he zoomed in and it's two guys with a ratchet strap across from them on the handles of a box truck with the back door wide open, and they're sitting in two recliners, just ratched it strapped in. People send me some crazy videos. I
get, like, some really crazy videos sent to me, But um no, I didn't see that one. Like I guess some of the weirdest one
set to me um and some of the ones. And I appreciate you all
sending to me. Some of them I can't talk about on the air.
Y'all sent me someone's You're like, here, here's one for the some of them. Facebook. Facebook's like, uh, somebody sent you an inappropriate video.
It's like, check your spam. So uh. Nate and I were
talking about the new Grant Zaba movie. That looks like it's gonna be really
cool. That's pretty good. Yeah, it's like it's gonna be a very
car inspired Yeah. And you guys, anything I like any car movie about
Twisted Metal? Oh yeah, yeah, that looked pretty good too. Yeah.
So if you guys don't know, I played some Twisted Metal video game back and we bought Twisted Metal when we were kids. It wasn't that good
though. No, the remake fortune really was. I don't which one you
all played, No, remember the one we bought it. You were like,
you're like, hey, man, you really gotta go, you gotta buy this. I played we kid it was great, and I played it
like one time and it was not that good. I don't know if I
don't I don't know if it was remember because they redid the ice cream truck and everything, and it just was not the same I don't know the one I played when it first came out. We played it to death. I
mean like we just, oh, we played it so much. But it's
kind of cool because it's like they're creating a storyline to it about this guy that's supposed to be going through his life and he has I hope, I hope because I really enjoyed the video game, and I played it all the way to the end. I really enjoyed playing it was the storyline in the
game. There was a little bit of a storyline in the game, um,
but the game is not a solid one. It was kind of you
were switching character a little bit, a little bit like well you could switch the characters depending on but if you played, like if you played the game through, I mean it was it was cool, but like you had to like you really had to earn your way through it and stuff like that.
That's what I kind of liked about it playing it, And that's what I really I really liked the game because it wasn't it wasn't the easiest game.
I mean, like you really had to play and you and you and you had to understand the game, well, you had to play like kind of like there was a little bit of a team work to it and stuff like that. So that's and I like. I like games like that, you
know the reason why I like like a lot of the military games that we played, So I like that. That's the reason why I liked Crew and
Crew came out because Crew you had to work like a team. Crew they
could have done so we could be here, we could be here forever.
Much more they should have explained, and they never gave up on Crew and continue to build out Crew even more so. I think they were just too
concerned about releasing another copy of the game because they're realized they said it was going to be what they actually finished. I'll say, I'll say what we
have a problem with and today I think we've gotten two reliant on the next year copy. I think what's going next year? What's going on next year?
I just want a game that is upstates and updates and updates and never closes and it's just that one game and the game. So I'm the lame
person that really has that right now? Is GTA. You know they don't,
No, they don't. I would say the only person is actually doing
it, and I hate to say it and give them the credit, but it's Fortnite, because Fortnite is the same game but has changed multiple times and incorporating new things without actually restarting the game. We'll give me a car game
that does that, right, That's what I'm saying. Like Nascar, they
gotta bring Nascar back, Like I haven't seen a really good NASCAR game so long. Something where I can rate cross country against people a cross country and
it actually takes me that lap. What happens if you created a game Cannonball
Run Caball Run. We were thinking the same thing. Cannonball was kind of
a Cannonball No bron happens if you did a Cannonball run game where an event started and you for the whole week, your mission was to get off work.
You're trying to go run that Cannonball run, you know, or you skipped work. Look, I know for as a Horizon already does though,
like I know, it's an online it's all online. There's nothing offline about
it. Give me a Cannonball run game that lets me run cross country and
it feels like cross the elapsed time you pick cars, you have to go like destination, and it gives you the lap time, and it keeps how long the lap time it took you from getting from place to place, right, and you have to do it within a certain mission time. So everybody
who enters, you have four days, five days to complete this mission, even though it may only take you twenty four hours to do that, right, but five days, you have five days to complete that to see who it within five days. You know, these new games, they're taking these
these engines, these game engines, and they're putting it into Google Maps and letting ai. You know, have we talked about that tuple of times and
they're basically letting AI go onto Google Maps and rebuild the whole world, right right, but they haven't updated the world. Why don't they create it?
Where like every time we get a new photo of a street or a new photo of this, it updates in the game because the house was destroyed and now the house is gone. Stuff like that. At some point, you're
gonna have to take realistic and the game separate. So like you want the
game, like you know, you can crash in the houses yourself. I
mean, when you crash in a house in a game, it's not gonna happen in real life or will it. I just want something that when it
comes it comes to a car game, I want them to map the car game where everything's realistic, like what you could do and you could integrate that with like Google Maps and all that kind of stuff nowadays. So if I'm
if I'm running down sixty four and there's you know, a gas station on this side of the road, and that on the side of the road.
When I'm running in the game, it's the same same station in this on the same layout, which then would teach our kids, by the way, it would teach our kids when they're playing the game sense of direction from their own home, if they were in their own different I just want it that way, Like like if I'm going down the road in two miles, you know Bradley Streets on the left hand side, I want Bradley point right.
So if they did that, right, what is stopping you from not going on vacations in because then you won't have to go on vacation. It's in
the game because you want to go see the real No that push you to go see the vacation. But why it would push you and the reason why
it would push you because you want to. But I'm kind of why I'm
not worried about going on vacation in a racing game. Yeah, but I'm
gonna saying though, like like say, you want to go visit someplace, right, but the game's all mapped out to you know where Earth is supposed to be and stuff. I mean, why I go there? I can
see in the in the game and drive around and I mean went to the Bahamas right right? Why don't you go look it up on your phone?
Well, they don't have an arrective game, right for a video. I
mean, they don't have a good fishing game. If they had a good
fishing game, you know, maybe I didn't have to go anyways, who knows, He's like I caught that best exact best, right. God,
I'm just saying, like racing games could go in a lot of different direction, and then they cast in the movies, just like Rand Trismo didn't.
I'm gonna go see Grand Trismo. I think it's going to be we have
to, I mean, grew over the game, just like if you made a need for speed again like no, if no, if you made it like a little bit more like the video game. I mean I said a
movie, right right, I mean I'd go. I'd go see anything that
you made. I mean, you could do a lot of different car movies.
Position for God's sakes from way back then, and if you made it good. What was that one racing game that we used to play. It
had the viper on the title. It was kind of like, um,
it was like competing with Grand Turism at the time and PlayStation Oh, I know what you're talking about it Grand Prit. No, it's um, I
don't know me viper on the front end. I can't remember. Yeah,
yeah, I don't know. Don't you remember it? You'll let me know
because we're getting to that point. Hey, guys, I cannot believe that
this show went by very fast. Make sure that you guys definitely get out
enjoy yourself. Get yourself out to a car show. Like I always say,
it's Saturday. Sunday is right around the corner. Uh, A lot
