Now, I think it's, you know,

recently the Ford Raptor Nation group

that's kind of started up our last couple of months

has really gained a lot of traction.

Like, they've really been helping

with the Ranger Raptor Nation Facebook group or whatever.

And they've built that from,

I think in December,

it probably had like around 500, 700 followers.

Now it's, it just crested 20,000.

Oh, wow.

So it's fast growing.

And I think that you got cut up in that wave.

That's why you're starting to see that stuff.

I mean, it's great.

I, it makes me want to post more like,

and it was obviously makes me want to go out

and use my truck.

I was telling you guys,

I've been sitting in my driveway the last week.

I've been so busy,

which is a good price problem to have.

Cause then, you know,

that'll make the Raptor payment.

I mean, the last time I think you drove it,

you saw my wife driving mine.

So it was like,

that was really funny because like,

I'm used to seeing you and you and I like,

we'll pass each other.

and I'm starting to gather all my tax information

and realizing how much money I can't spend at the store anymore

because I'm like,

how much is this is going to the government?

I'm having like the same conversation I had last year,

legal conversation as far as,

with the podcast and things we do with the trucks.

She hasn't looked at me yet and said,

I think for speaking,

I'm glad the Ranger,

I think he's picking up more of the Raptor,

the Ranger Raptor.

Seeing more of them,

seeing more of them online and they're popping up more

in my feed and I'm just seeing them up there more

in the public.

And I was thinking about something with this the other day.

I think Ford's missing an opportunity here

because they don't have a SUV.

They have the Bronco.

Don't get me wrong,

but it's a removable top and it does.

You're talking about the Everest

and it's in Thailand and we need it here.

We need it here.

They're testing them here,

but we're not getting them here.

Yeah.

Which makes no sense to me

because they should have a Ranger based SUV

to compete with the forerunner

because they should have a Raptor Ranger.

Yeah.

Yeah, I'm saying like,

because you have,

if you go look at the new forerunner,

I looked at the new forerunner,

not for myself,

but with friends and it's super nice.

Is it?

I don't think it's any nicer than a Ranger Raptor though

if you out third one into an SUV.

Bet you can put people in the back seat.

Well, in an SUV,

you probably could move it farther back.

really big missed opportunity.

Chevy as well,

with that new Blazer that everybody loved.

Toyota's doing it and killing it.

And they have been just as long as everybody else.

And I don't know why everybody else lost their way so much

when it seems like there's a gaping hole in the market

that Toyota just owns.

I think it'll come back because everybody thought Toyota

owned the truck market,

you know,

that with the Tacoma and now with,

with our truck and then with Brian's,

you know,

the A.V. Colorado,

the A.V. Colorado.

Well,

even not even the A.V.,

just the 84X is still a really nice truck.

I think it's really good competition for them.

So hopefully they will,

you know,

with the new things that are going on in the automotive industry,

Ford and Chevy could step up.

And go,

we can make up.

Not to mention tariffs and rollback EPA emissions.

So if we can get that hole in the market,

that opens up a whole new segment of American automobiles

that would be a great selling point.

So Ford and Chevy,

I think,

I mean,

Chevy's not really doing much right besides that truck

in the Corvette these days.

So it's a good opportunity for them.

Um,

but

hopefully death goes away.

That could change things too.

Well,

yeah,

We talked about that a little bit.

I saw another article talking about the fact that they,

I heard we,

I had heard one that death was going away.

And then if it doesn't go away,

they're going to take away the limp mode so that you didn't,

if you ran out of it,

which death go away.

I was going to say it's just a chain effect.

Well,

they're not prosecuting people for desmogging their vehicles

anymore.

You can still get one for rolling coal.

Don't be wrong.

But there are shops across the country now that are

backlogged months and months and months out because

there's no longer any.

Does that make that huge lawsuit against the diesel

brothers go away?

No,

they're still after them.

Yeah.

Who just got arrested again for tax fraud?

he's whistling diesel,

which is just hilarious because it's such a small amount.

It's a 25,000 notes of what is it was a $25,000 on the

Ferrari and then this other one.

And after he got arrested after the first one,

he asked them if there was any problems with other cars

and they lied to him and said no.

Yeah.

It's the biggest witch hunt ever and it's that same

stupid legal group that's out of Wyoming of all

places.

I thought this was Tennessee.

This was the state.

No,

it's like it's a lawyer group.

So they're an EPA.

We've talked about this before.

There's an EPA lawyer group that gets together and then

sues people to for crazy numbers,

takes all that money for themselves and none of it

goes back into the system to actually do anything

with the environment.

And this is a proven thing.

This is just completely a scam and it's Wyoming.

So keep Wyoming lawless.

I hope they do something about it like Wyoming would

because most people need to go away.

So this is the same law group that that went after

Dave Sparks.

So I remember to clarify.

Whistlin Diesel is a tax issue.

The state of Tennessee is going after him for tax.

That's different.

Allegedly.

It's triggered by the same law group.

they got the they got Tennessee to go after him

and then they're continuing to go after him.

And this last time apparently there was some

misuse of him and the fact that he was very

sick when they arrested him and they refused

to give him some things.

So and they also sent they sent like 10 guys to

get him as he got off the plane.

So, uh, let's jump right into our Carter Carter automotive tip

of the week.

Um, I came across this kind of an interesting thing.

You know, uh, a gentleman in Spokane,

who's a large YouTuber is rebuilding.

He's taken a down to the shell,

like a 92 Acura NSX and he put a four cylinder

and twin custom twin turbo kit,

but he was talking about this.

He was, he's running all the electrical right now

and he came up with the term of a star point ground,

which is kind of interesting because when you're building

a car or doing this, having a short or trying to find the

loose ground is really tough.

And the point of this is where you're grounding your engine,

your battery, your ECU, all the coils are grounded

to the same point so that you know that you, you know,

if you have a bad ground,

if that's a bad ground, it's going to affect everything,

which is kind of an interesting perspective.

Yeah.

It, two sizes.

I was thinking about, I've only read up on this briefly

when we were talking about it.

One, it's a single point of failure.

Mm hmm.

So that means if your ground is bad,

if you have an accident, a simple one,

if your ground is damaged, nothing is going to work.

You could reground it.

I mean, you could move that ground to someplace else.

Just a ground is a ground.

It's just got a ground,

but it seems like you would want some things,

not all everything, some things separate.

I think maybe in a custom build,

I can see the advantage of that.

He was, we're talking the major things in the car.

Yeah.

And I do understand what you were saying,

but I liked the idea and the fact of like,

okay, something's not grounded,

but then you go to one point

and you have the major things in there

that you know are grounded to there.

And God forbid you see if something is torn

or if, you know, like you said,

in an accident, that would be a bad thing.

I was just thinking from a redundancy point of view,

but it might, you know, for something like that,

it seems pretty simple.

I like the idea of the simplicity.

I like, I mean, there's just,

it's sort of the same thing we go to on our trucks

with a bus bar or any overland build.

You have a bus bar.

Everything goes to that same point

with all your power distribution in one block.

Mm hmm.

Makes it really easy.

I mean, that's what I did on the Bronco.

Well, and they do a lot of those in the off-road vans too

because the batteries are under the seats.

So they put them in the engine compartment.

So, yeah.

I wanted to talk a little bit about that new Bugatti Veyron.

Well, it's a Bugatti.

It looks like a Veyron.

It's the underpinnings of a Chiron.

It's a homage to Ferdinand Karl Persia.

I always forget his last name.

He's the grandson of Porsche.

He ran Volkswagen and things like that.

You have heard of FPK versions before

because when Lamborghini came out with the Scion,

that luxury was an event to door with three body panels.

Oh, yeah, I remember that.

That was named after him, too.

I think this is by far the most beautiful Bugatti

they've ever released.

They modernized the Veyron.

Underpinnings are the Chiron.

Everybody knows the Chiron is the most reliable car.

The Veyron was the most pretty car.

They're only making one of them.

Somebody commissioned this for a measly 10 million euro.

But I really think it's pretty.

I forget that there is so much there.

We spend in the car world.

We have the opportunity to see these cars.

But I forget that there are people that go out in the car world

and go, I see nothing I like, make me something.

And they can write that check, especially with places like Bugatti.

And I like what Bugatti is doing lately.

I like with Remac running it and things like that and their new cars.

Obviously, never going to be in my price bracket.

But that car has unilaterally made everybody fall in love with it.

It looks like the Veyron, but it's absolutely beautiful.

It looks like an updated Veyron in all the good ways.

Yeah.

I'm kind of excited.

I would hope whoever owns it, if you've watched the commercial,

they own the original Veyron in the red and black, the classic red and black.

And there's some saying that the video that's come out,

maybe the car doesn't exist yet, but it will because it looks very AI.

Well, who knows?

I cannot believe there's an AI commercial out there.

How many times a day in your household do you and your spouses go,

look at this.

Is this real?

Like Photoshop used to be able to tell.

Like people were good at it.

But now it's like, wait a minute.

If all the Subaru commercials that we watch with Golden Retrievers

haven't convinced us.

There are water markings that you can't see on those videos that can be

that the word Seahawks was spelled like in Russian.

If you look at posts that are, I mean, there's AI automation

for making posts now, which is hilarious.

And they're, what's the dead internet?

The dead internet theory, which is not a theory at all is that

about 85% of the internet is just bots and AI running everything

now.

Like everything you see is not even like posted by people.

It's just created.

Somebody told me AI is now out on its own Reddit chats and

they're talking about humans.

They have their own social media platform.

That's what it is.

And they're talking shit about us.

Not with a high boost engine, but with a ZX-11

force cylinder for a motorcycle.

That was great.

Made it a lot more fun.

But that makes it an absolutely durable vehicle.

I want something that I can drive past a tree on,

So Kelly's selling that it's an 09 WR 450,

which is still carbureted, which is fine.

If you've ever had a carbureted bike, no big deal.

But electric start.

So plus a kick back up, 60 miles.

Has 60 miles on it.

Has he owned it since new?

No, no, no.

A guy, a guy he knows was selling it.

And Kelly's like, I'll take it and ride it

and do something with it.

But I think it's perfect.

It's plated, ready to go.

So that's a great option.

And he's, I don't know what he's selling it for,

but it's an 09.

So it's not going to be that expensive.

The other option is the guy I sold my 02.

Came back and he's thinking,

he's like, I just don't ride it enough.

because I'll probably buy it back from you

for a lot less than I sold it to you for.

Because it's been a few years now and it's a 2020,

but he's like barely ridden it.

And that bike is perfect.

It's lowered about two inches.

But for what I do, what we do, it doesn't matter.

single track anymore.

because it just hurts a lot more when I crash.

I want to do more of the exploring stuff.

So I'll stick to the groomed trails and things that are

BDRs and that kind of stuff.

because I wasn't riding it.

but if I get it again, is it going to just sit in the,

you know.

So here's the thing.

I barely ride the monkey and the grommets.

And I'm like, if I'm at the same price point for a fully built bike.

Yeah.

Like this isn't.

Or a K truck now.

Yeah.

In addition to.

Yeah.

So eventually what's going to happen is motorcycles.

If you follow the trends, this isn't me like just speculating.

If you just follow the trends of the market,

bicycles get the really cool trick shit first.

Yeah.

They had the light aluminum frames first,

then the motorcycles did.

Now they have carbon frames and titanium bikes are going

to go the same way because the price for to build carbon

is coming way, way down.

Until they start making carbon fiber frame motorcycles,

or fully carbon fiber.

A lot of bikes have carbon fiber and fiber awesome fuse.

Yeah.

Swing arms, tails, rear subframes, but they're going to go that

way.

And eventually bikes will lose another 40 pounds because of

that.

But until that comes along, there really hasn't been a

lot of innovations since haunted the aluminum frame.

Like other than that, and then they switched to fuel

injection.

Like, okay.

God bless them.

Yeah.

Big freaking deal though.

Like as far as riding goes, I mean.

For our riding.

I'm not saying for you race guys are screaming at me.

You guys are a different animal.

You guys need all the technology, trash control,

ABS, all that.

For those of us who are old and slow, it's totally fine

to have those older bikes.

They work great.

Very old.

They're easy to work on.

And if you ride with somebody like Brandon Elan,

you can throw him on a 30 year old bike and he

will smoke me any day of the week, no matter

what bike I'm on.

You'll also smoke your engine cover.

True.

But I'm just saying I'm very well aware that we

have all come to the point where skill is our

biggest blocker, not the bike.

And so I don't need to go buy a $20,000 new

bike.

I can be completely happy if I can get my old

bike back for 6,500 bucks and never sell it

until a carbon frame comes out where I would

see a huge advantage or electric bikes get so

light that I would want one of those instead,

which are great by the way.

It would be great.

I take a stark, a stark far.

Oh hell yeah.

I think another issue I was thinking about

and obviously I have to run this by other

people.

They'll agree with it.

But when I had the CRF, it was a bitch to ride

on the road.

It sucked.

Going places there sucked.

Once I got there and got on the dirt, it was

great.

I didn't have the truck at the time.

Yeah.

Now that I have the truck, I can take it

wherever the hell I want to take it and

then drop it off.

I rode that bike one time notoriously from

here all the way down.

I went through green water and I went over

a stampede and came back.

And the most monotonous thing I've ever

done was get on I-90 and come down the

pass on that bike.

Really?

I got to the point where every exit I

would get off and I'd take along as

much as I could.

Because that bike doesn't, even with my

weight, barely would do 65, 70.

And it was not fun to sit on because

that bike is meant to be ridden standing

up and be aware.

Built for a ton of mid-range, low

speed torque.

And it just was not a...

I got home and I was like,

okay, let me put this back.

I got to the mountainside tavern and

I was like, I'm sitting here for a

couple of hours because I'm...

I was three miles from the house.

That's how bad it was.

Yeah.

So I guess the general consensus is

eventually we're all going to get big

bikes again.

Yeah, probably.

Okay, fair enough.

You need to get a monkey first too.

It doesn't really need to though.

We keep telling our friends this.

I think that'd be kind of fun.

You can do a big ride up to
