We're here in Vegas finally for the SEMA 2025 show. It is going to be an awesome week. We're
going to cover everything for you guys to see. You're going to want to hang out with us. It's
funny Vegas normally packs itself full of adrenaline junkies, whether it's gambling,
the lights, or even this iconic sign behind us. People line up forever to take a picture with
this sign. But I tend to believe that this is not the most important sign here this week.
Where are we going to take you? We'll just hold on and we're going to go there.
From that sign to this iconic sign right here, that's right ladies and gentlemen,
this is the SEMA sign. Over 160,000 people every year line up to take a picture in front of this
sign. What sign is a little bit more important? I don't know. I'm going to have to leave that to
but I'm telling you SEMA is such a huge event, right? They have so much things. It brings so
many different types of people and everybody stops to take a picture in front of this sign.
So they can show it to all their friends. I mean look, we're here too, right?
Fill them right in front of it so that you can see us in front of the SEMA sign.
I don't know what it is. SEMA sign, Vegas sign. They're both signs but they both work for us.
We got a lot to show you guys. There's tons and tons of great cars here. We've already got a
sneak peek. We're walking the lot. We're kind of creeping around. They're not set up. They're
not open yet. That's the reason why I can get in front of this sign to take a picture. But I tell
you what, you're not going to want to miss everything that we have in store for you. Just
over the shoulder that you can see are some great cars that I can't wait to take a look at.
They have all kinds of stuff being still unloaded and brought in. Everybody's still setting up for
the show but we're here just a little bit early because we wanted to get a sneak peek which I'm
going to share with you right now. So are you all about the Camaro Life? Well maybe this 1969
behind me has everything that you need. From supercharger to roll bars, I tell you this thing
has it all. One thing here at SEMA that we've definitely seen over the years is when it comes
to Camaros, it comes to any type of car that's out here. They have it from custom retro mods.
You name it, we've even seen electric muscle cars out here. SEMA provides something for every
single person. That's the best thing about it. The people, the cars, the horsepower, it's everything
that you want in one place. And what a better place to be at but in Las Vegas, Nevada with
horsepower. Whether it's glimmering lights or it's the slot machines, whatever it is that
attracts you, we get attracted to the horsepower here at SEMA because there's plenty of it on tap
all day long. Now the event officially has not kicked off and we're actually out here getting
a sneak peek of a bunch of different stuff but this car right here is bad to the bone. One thing I
like about this car is not only just the black paint job on it but the fact that they do what I love
and we're doing on one of our projects as well is we're color matching everything as well. So from
the interior to underneath the hood, the engine, everything, it is all color matched out so everything
ties in and gives it a complete look right down to the calipers. So it's a nice setup. Like I said,
it's really what you guys are into. We see a lot of examples of all the different type of cars that
are here especially in different types of classes and stuff which is what makes this fun is to see
what the envision of their builder is and then he brings it to the table for you to take a look at
and it just makes it a very, very awesome and competitive event as well when everybody's building
cars to see who's going to have the best build off. I got a lot more examples for you guys.
You guys are going to want to see them all. I wanted to stop this car so you guys could enjoy
and appreciate as much as we do. Let me show you some others right here.
So if somebody was to ask me what my superpower was, I'd definitely tell you it's not the ability
to pick the right wheel, the right setup, rather be depth, offset, you name it, whatever you want
to call it. It's just not my forte. I find myself here in the Vorsteiner's booth and they have
beautiful, beautiful cars set up here with great wheels except if it was up to me, I would never
get it right. The great thing about this guys is I found somebody who can tell me exactly what it
is is missing. So I'm going to introduce you guys to them and we're going to get to the bottom of
exactly what it takes to pick out the right wheel for your car. So I found the expert for us to go
ahead and try to simplify this process. I told you guys, wheels just aren't my thing. I have a
love-hate relationship with wheels like you wouldn't believe. And I'm standing here with Daniel.
Daniel, we were having a conversation before we started talking. Wheels, I mean, I love them.
They make or break a project, right? And with that being the offset stuff we were talking about,
you're like the math. I don't math well when it comes to wheels, guys. I mean, I try but I could
never seem to figure it out. And every car builder I talk to says the same thing. They're like,
this is going to be the maker or breaker for my project. How do we get asset? Tell us, I mean,
where do we go from there? I mean, it's an interesting thing, right? I feel like you can
build a whole vehicle, right? We're talking about maker break, right? You could have 90%,
everything dialed in, the vehicle looks amazing. And you put the wrong set of wheels on the car and
it ruins everything. Now, the opposite is also true, right? You can have a not so great build,
but when the right wheel goes on and the internet can let you know, it goes viral.
They're like, oh my God, I can't believe you got that wheel to work with that car.
When I never thought of it, it just works. It works. And I've offended the internet a lot.
Like I've built a variety of cars. Like I've taken like Aston Martins and put JDM wheels on it and
the internet is very polarizing. Yeah, absolutely. This is a mix of genres, but some people like, oh
my God, I would have never thought this. This just works. It makes sense. So there is a massive payoff
when you get the wheels done right. Absolutely. Yeah. So typically, I mean, I like to start from
characteristic of the car. Like what is that? Like what is the spirit of the car? Are you trying
to create something aggressive? Is it a motor sports look? Is it a luxurious look? Is it a
sporty look? And based on that, it'll help you narrow down the styles and choices, right? And
there's function, there's performance. And we're talking about like wheel math. Like I truly believe
I have friends in this industry that I consider like wheel savants, right? You tell them the car
that you have and their minds just like, it's like beautiful minds, like numbers just rotate.
Can I get those emails to those people? Because I just can't do it. I'm serious. I can't. I rely on
online. Again, I've been doing this for almost 20 years and wheel math is something that I struggle
with. I use, luckily I use like online, no, they're great tools now with like wheel offset calculators
and stuff. And I'm slowly starting to understand that. Now, here this year for the SEMA show,
for example, I built five personal SEMA cars. And then I've also managed five other cars for
this booth itself. So you can imagine managing wheel math for 10 different cars. Like I have to
remember what tire size or what wheel with what offset. I mean, there's a massive spreadsheet
that goes into it. So I understand it. But I think when you start with what the ultimate look is
that you're going for, then it becomes easy. Yep. So here's the thing. I do it old school, right?
And everybody laughs at me because and I don't find it to be so strange late at night, you're
scrolling, you're looking, I go down the rabbit hole so deep, I'm literally grabbing a car that
I'm interested in. I don't even own these cars yet. I'm like, I like to own that car. Maybe we'll
buy that car. But okay, now what do I do with that car? And I'm literally taking pictures of wheels
and then Photoshop in the wheel onto the car to see what everybody's like, you know, there's a
simpler way to do that. I'm like, there might be, but this is my way. Leave me alone. Give you a
funny piggybacking off that story when I started this. And I was a young auto enthusiast. And
again, it's not that long ago, but it feels like it's long ago. Before like, I understood how
to use Photoshop, I would again go on the internet print a profile picture of a car,
let's say I was building a Civic at that time, right? And I would go through these magazines
that were out at some and I would cut out the wheels and just keep the body and I would slide
that cut out like a paper doll over different wheels to get the idea. But that's the same concept
with Photoshop now, right? So now we have better tools to be able to visualize this. Now, of course,
here at Vorc Center, as a creative director, I have a whole art team behind me. So we can visualize
how this looks with 3D artwork with 3D renders, we can get some very hyper real pre visualization
stuff. So we're pretty good about it. Now, very rarely do we get surprised by the wheels anymore,
because we can see something so true to form inaccurate now. Yeah, so here's the thing,
AI works crazy, right? So I like AI. And the reason why is because with the new technology,
right, I can go ahead and do all the stuff I've been clipping and taking pictures of and posting
and, you know, taping together. I mean, I can remember going back to magazines, right? And
looking at magazines and cutting pictures of rims out and trying to put it on the car to kind of
get the idea. And that's going back old school. But it worked. I mean, so now with AI technology,
I can say the car, I can say the wheel, like I can shout your guys' name and be like, all right,
that's what I want to do. And I put it together and it gives me a little bit. Now it's not perfect,
but it helps me with some of that math. Do you guys have something set up that can kind of give
us an idea as far as laying the car out ahead of time? Yeah. So again, like I said, it's kind
of the marriage of both, right? I think AI is an incredible tool for what I call previs. So I always
tell my team, let's not be afraid of AI, right? Let's figure out how to use it as a tool, right?
So I use it as previs because I don't want to spend our artists like six hours of their day
doing a hyper realistic render just to realize it's not going to work. AI can whip this out in
five minutes and we realize very quickly, let's not go down this rabbit hole. Let's pivot now.
Maybe we'll try a different style of wheel. Maybe we'll do motorsport mesh. Maybe we'll do a
five spoke. Maybe we'll do a fork design. And once AI gives us something that's not accurate,
but it gives us enough to say, there's something here. Then I go, Hey, I can go to my artist and
say, Hey, Paolo, can you do a hyper realistic render using a specific wheel, a specific car?
And then we get something more true to point. And again, it really minimizes the surprises
that happen now with all the previous now. Right. So this bill here behind us,
inspiration, where'd it come from? I mean, did you start kind of, well, you knew what wheel
you wanted to use and you've picked the car? Yeah, this one's a little bit different because
this is a more of a comprehensive bill. This is actually a new sort of brand for us called
CTR Classic Tuning Restoration. So the idea behind it is we were studying Gunther Works as a sister
company of the brand and they're building these high end $2 million porches. But I recognize
that these clientele are doing two things. Yes, they're buying a beautiful car and a machine.
Yes, there's a tangible asset that they're buying. But the second thing they're going through is an
experience that white glove experience to be able to sit down with a design consultant and
custom tailor a one of one car, right? Right. And that's what we love as car people. You don't want
I don't want somebody to have the same thing. Exactly. Women don't want to go to prom and
see if they're the same dress. Nobody wants the same dining room. Guys don't want the same car.
Right. Absolutely. Cars and coffee, right? So Gunther provides that experience for clients.
And I realized that's half the magic. And so we wanted to create that opportunity through CTR
with other applications outside the 993 and we're able to do that and we're launching this with a
408. So again, same philosophy. We can sit down and we can highly configure and customize. And so
we do have application specific 458 magnesium wheels that we have on this car. Now what's really
great about this is this. We want to stay within the design language of the vehicle itself. What
we want to do is for our consumers, we don't want you to know where OEM starts and where CTR
begins. Now there's a time and place for you to modify a car where it's outrageous. It's obnoxious
but in a good way, right? Right. But there are certainly cars where you want it to feel like,
I know this feels like a special edition variant, right? But not quite sure where to
finger point that. And that also carried our wheel design. We studied the evolution of
some of the wheel designs in front Ferrari. We look at the evolution of wheels from Italian
exotic cars. And that's how we derived the wheel design that we arrived at today.
It's very cool as I walked. I took a look at the different setup. I see inspiration
with inside the cars, but the inspiration on the side of the wheels, like the wheels go perfectly
with the car. I mean, it is astounding to me how you can take something that's already so beautiful
within the design of the car and accident so well with your guys' wheels. I mean, it is absolutely
beautiful. And you guys have done a great job of it. If you guys are looking for that white glove
service and you want that setup, this is it. And if they do, where do they find you? At CTRDesign.com.
All right, guys, you heard it here. I love it. You guys know wheels are 100%. Just one of those
things that I wish I could did good math on, but maybe I now have the connection to where I can
get the math done for me. We're going to find out and we'll talk to you soon.

Hey guys, if you can't tell, I have definitely found out where the party is. This place is packed.
Where am I, you ask? I'm in Roxas Fosgate's booth and I am hanging out with Wayne Connolly,
Vice President of New Product Development. So Wayne has got tons of stuff here in the booth for us to
see. And if you can't hear me, I'm sorry. That's probably a good thing, right? Because your guys'
product is just off the hook. This is insane, man. I don't even know where to even start.
Yeah, there's a lot of product. There's a lot of categories. We have motorcycle, marine, automotive,
all kinds of offerings. Anywhere your lifestyle brings you for audio, we'll follow you there.
So we were talking a little before the camera got turned on and I am 100% an old school audio guy.
I mean, it's been a while since I've had to put audio into anything. And you were telling me,
as I look, I feel a little bit hot on my own, just a little bit, because everything's changed so much
in technology. It's crazy from where we were as far as building boxes inside our garages to
trying to put as many speakers where they didn't fit into a car. It's really changed now. Now
everything is really kind of like product placement as far as being made for that vehicle.
Yeah, everything is application specific. It's kind of gone are the days of, you're in my,
I'll call it childhood, where you just made universal product to kind of power separated
everything. Now the vehicles have gotten so integrated. The systems have gotten so much better.
There's more speakers. The speaker placement is better. So the OEM and the aftermarket world
have really evolved. Even now people shop for speakers and products being used to look up
what's a six and a half. Yeah, right. Now they're looking up what's for my 2023 Ford F-150. So
this line kind of new speakers shows that change really well. It's no longer a good,
better best offering. Now we have three different segments that are focusing on fitment as opposed
to just power handling to separate them. So our big segments for this whole show has really been
based around the amateur guy, right? Yeah. So the guy who's just starting out has no clue and
is trying to figure out where to start at. So if you're giving an advice, let's just say he just
completely came out of nowhere, right? He's like, look, I got myself a project car. Let's just say
because the new up and coming thing or has been for a little bit is a Miata, right? So everybody's
customized Miata and he just picked one up because you they're so customizable right now. And he was
like, I want something that sounds good. It's easy for me to go ahead and put and he has never done
it before. Where would you tell him to start at? Yes. So I think for that guy, the first thing
you're going to want to learn is or be educated enough as to what type of speaker system do you
have? Do you have a coaxial where the tweeter is in the center of the speaker? Do you have a component
where the tweeter is separate? Or do you have a three way where it's got a larger driver in the
bottom of the door, mid range and a tweeter? So our line represents that exact consumer in essence.
First thing, let's figure out what you have in the vehicle. Then we have size off rings.
Not only that, we have things like this woofer ring that lets you put our speaker into over a
hundred different applications. As you can see, the tabs are just make you just break it off. If
you have a GM or if it's a Mazda, you just break off the types that you need. They're also universal
or flippable. So it changes the mounting elevation. Like I said, as the application has gotten so
specific and honestly really individualized, the product offering or replacement has to follow
it. So for the guy going in his driveway trying to do a speaker change out, this is the line for
you. It comes with plug and play connectors. We know you don't have a bunch of crimp connectors.
It comes with all the screws to mount everything. It cuts to the cutout template. Everything is
very installation focused on this whole new line for that DUI guy. You want him to have everything
in his box. So if you could put Legos together essentially, you could probably figure this out.
Absolutely. Let's just say that I get to a stopping point where I'm just like, I'm not really sure
what to do. Videos, stuff like that to take me along? Yes. Rockford are probably our largest
strength is our marketing department. So you'll see with, for example, with our Harley Davidson
kits or any of the application specific stuff that we do, we have a video installation video.
We have an unboxing video. So if you want to know what's in the box before you even get the
product, you can look that up. Absolutely. You can see how we've done the installation,
what tools you need, everything the DIY guy needs honestly. So I'm sitting here and you guys haven't
seen it, but we're going to show it to you. Tell me a little bit about this awesome display vehicle
you guys have. Where did the concept come up from? I mean, how'd you guys start off and how'd you
know that's exactly what you want to do? It is obviously an ice cream truck. Yes. Okay. Tell me
about it. I mean, the page on mine is crazy, the setup inside of it, everything you guys have.
Absolutely. This one actually is owned by Mr. Cartoon. So being an artist or being a tattoo
artist, you have somebody that has a whole different skill set than myself, which is
representative, but we can definitely help them with the tune. So we started off kind of in the
early planning phases with them on what would be place where and what speaker equipment. But
the artistic design of this is definitely a no to him. It is definitely over the top and it stands
out. And let me tell you, it's working on the marketing side of things because this booth is
just packed with people and they love it. So, you know, like I said, with being old school punch,
it always meant something to somebody. And it was funny because, you know, as a kid and when I was
building cars, it was ironic, right? Because you're like, I just see some of the packs that punch
and it fit hand in hand. Absolutely. So with going into that, everybody wants that deep down base.
I'm one of those guys that are like, okay, I want base, but I want clarity. I want to be able to hear
everything that's being said. But when I want to get your, I know, attention, I want it to be there.
Where do we go from there? Yeah, I mean, Rockford's all about full content audio. We provide an
experience and there's always a moment where you want to listen to your stereo loud or you want
to turn that thing up and enjoy it. So we always start off with the speakers, but then we always
end up in subwoofers too. Absolutely. Rockford's always been doing for amplifiers that are made
for power than what they're rated for and subwoofers that could handle more power also than what they're
rated for. So typically we move everyone into the punch woofer lineup, depending on the vehicle
once again, it's got an application specific. So we now have subwoofers that are less than four
inches thick for those smaller applications. And they're working smaller enclosures. You and I
used to have to get like two cubic feet out of a box. Usually woofers are working at like 0.3,
half a cubic foot of airspace now, which is much, much smaller than anything we ever had before.
Yeah, it's crazy. So you know, I tell you guys, I've had a lot of different cars that you guys
can joke me. One of my favorite cars that I built, and it was a car that wasn't important to anybody
else. I had a Chevy Cavalier. I put four 15s in the trunk, put as much power to it as I could,
because we didn't really know what we were doing. I mean, we were just trying to build power. We
tried to build sound and stuff like that. So to watch the full evolution, everything come all the
way around from guys just trying to figure it out in their driveway. You know, like kids like me,
you got a couple dollars, you bought something, you got a couple dollars, you bought something else,
and you had to try to figure out this really simplifies everything. I mean, it's right down to
the last little thing that you need. I don't have to worry about it anymore. It's going to be in the
box. And if it is in the box, you got a box for it. My first set of speakers was installed in a
driveway in an 86 Camaro. The guys made me reminded me of that when I was doing the interview,
and they're like, why is punch important? And I was telling them, it's legendary. It's part of my
childhood. It's the legacy. It could almost be a brand of its own, even though it's underneath
Rockwood Fosgate. So the question I ask everybody, because people want to know when they're buying,
warranty, what are we looking like, warranties? We actually made the warranty. So the material
selection on these, a lot of speakers at this price point will have like a butyl rubber surround
that'll break down over time in the sun. They'll have a cotton spider instead of a Nomex spider,
and all those things lead to premature failure. We're so confident in the materials that we selected,
the assembly process, and the procedures that we use. We actually gave everybody another whole
year warranty. So these all come with a two year warranty, regardless of whether you put them in
your driveway, or you get them installed by an authorized dealer. Well, that can cover you guys,
just for, hey, you never know, things happen. I can tell you that you can make the best product on
earth. But when you have somebody who's willing to stand behind what they're making, that's when
you know you're buying the right product. Before we get out of here, you got anything else you
want to touch on? I just want you to enjoy the booth. Take it in. There's a lot of things around
here. If you are at SEMA, please come and see us. And if I wanted to find it to buy it, where would
I go to? Rockfordfossgate.com. You can get to any one of our dealers or the dealer locator from there.
Hey guys, I've given you every reason to make sure you put the best product in your vehicle.
I believe in it. I've had it. You guys know I won't talk about something unless I completely
believe about what it is. We got two project cars we're building. As you guys know, we got the bad
amp, and we got white noise. Neither one of them have stereos in them yet. So you might want to
keep an eye out. You never know what's going to happen, and we'll talk to you soon.

Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist. Now back to your host, Dave Palach.
Hey guys, we're hanging out here at SEMA and I am with Trent from Center Force. Trent man,
it is good to see you sir. Thank you. I appreciate you. So I'm taking a look at all the different
products you guys have set up and there's a good display here this year of a bunch of
different new stuff, right? Oh yeah. So I know that if you're in the car world this should be
no big huge surprise to you guys but they are the leader in clutch setups. Been around for 43 years.
So yeah. 1982. Yeah, okay. So I'm gonna do the math real quick. A quick math guys. So tell me
about some of the new products you guys have going on, the kind of product line, the different levels
and stuff. Yeah, so basically you know Center Force, the whole founding principle behind it
is increased torque capacity without sacrificing pedal effort. So that's basically what the whole
that's what Center Force is built on. And so early on what sets us apart from everybody else
is you'll see here like the centrifugal weights right here. This is something you'll only ever
see on a Center Force clutch and it looks kind of strange but the whole concept behind it
is that these weights act as a function of RPM. So as RPM increases those weights spread out and
they pull up on the fingers of the diaphragm and add clamp load at speed. And we do that because
it's a way to increase clamp load without increasing pedal effort. So the whole thing is
light pedal feel but more holding capacity. That's our old principle behind it. And we do a lot of
other stuff too. So we have basically different like many different clutch companies. We have
many different levels of clutch. Basically from one step above like a part store replacement
clutch that you could walk in and buy at any your local part store all the way up to like full
blown race stuff. And so and it all all those differences are basically centered around the
the design of the clutch disc itself. How many clutches there are discs in some cases. And then
also the friction material and everything. So this is a good example here. This is our new
line of clutches for 1.6 and 1.8 liter Miata's. Those Miata's being huge right now. Yeah,
yeah, I mean they're just they're they're a budget track car. Yeah, they're so I tell you
right there entry level if you're trying to get into the sport and then you can go as wild as you
want with it right to the killer Miata's I think is what they call them right. Yeah, exactly.
Exactly. I mean yeah there's crazy guys are even put out and LS is yeah. Yeah, so anyway,
but this is a good example of like the different levels of clutch that we offer. So like right
here is our center force to that is a full face disc on both sides. It's organic friction material.
Again, this is mild performance upgrades. So you've got you know intake and exhaust, maybe a cam
or something like that. But you still want something to daily driver. You don't want
something that's going to be like an on off switch, right? Right. It's a great choice for that.
Take can also take a lot of abuse. Okay. Next step up is our dual friction. And this is one of the
things that you mentioned it before we started our dual friction that that's probably our most
popular line. 100%. That's what I know you guys. Yes. One of the biggest things people ask for
all the time. Exactly. So the so with the dual friction, it's a full face disc on one side just
like the standard here, the center force to but you'll notice that the friction material on this
side is segmented. Well, we do that for a couple of reasons. One, it's it increases torque capacity.
So it's kind of a difficult concept to muster. But best way it's always been explained to me is
imagine somebody standing on your chest in a pair of sneakers versus like a pair of high
heels. So with with, you know, the sneakers, the load is going to be spread out and all that,
you know, kind of evenly and it's not going to hurt as bad. You know, a pair of high heels,
all that pressure on one very small concentrated point that ups the actual, you know, pressure
that's being applied. And so basically the same principle applies here. So elephant and high heels
kind of thing, right? Yeah, yeah, 100%. Because when you say this first thing, I think I'm like,
I just picture an elephant and high heels. Don't call me crazy, guys. I don't know why that is,
but it's just what I thought of. Right, right. So, so then the next thing, next step up from that
is our DFX. So this is a more traditional, like racing style clutch, a paddle style is what it's
commonly referred to. But the key difference other but you know, that same principle still
being applied. That's why we have these smaller pads because that's a higher, you know, higher
concentration of pressure. But this is also a completely different material. So this is,
this stuff is all organic. This is serometallic. So it's a much more aggressive friction material.
And so basically it's because it's much more aggressive, it's going to grab that flywheel
a lot harder. Okay. You know, but the tradeoff is they're aggressive, you know, you, you, you're
not going to just slip away that's going from a go pulling away from a light. It's more like an
on off switch. So really more of a dedicated track sort of an application. And then there's some
other stuff we do too. So like we have our billet steel flywheels right there. So that that's a
basically a one step up from a stock replacement. It's SFI certified. So which is important for
certain sanctioning bodies. And then we also have our low inertia. So you'll notice that the difference
there was seen a lot earlier. There's all this weight that's been removed from the outside
weight reduction. Yeah. And it's strategic that all the way around the outside that that lowers
the amount of inertia. And what that in turn does is it allows the engine to rev quicker
because it's got less weight. It's trying to get moving. So the result is a much quicker
revving engine, which is something you want on a track, absolute track car or whatever,
tradeoff. Once again, you know, because everything's about balance is it's much easier to stop
because there's there's not as much inertia. The engine is not going to have that weight to
tend to walk to keep running. So it's actually easier to stop. So that you know, and then there's
also an aluminum version if you want to really get into it. But yeah, that's that's basically the
quick and dirty rundown of what we do here. So we do a segment called Hey Dave. So Hey Dave is
where our listeners get an opportunity to call into us and ask us questions. One of the biggest
questions I get all the time is Hey Dave, if it was you and you're driving this car and let's say
it's not my street car all the time, but I am sometimes daily driving to work. Can I put a race
clutch in it and how long is it going to last? A difference if I just want standard clutch,
the benefits, the non benefits of it and stuff. What would you suggest for somebody that has that
going on? Some of it's a toy, but it's a toy that every once in a while they drive to work or they
drive their grocery store or whatever it is. I get I get that question a lot where it's you know,
the it's a guy that's got a pretty dedicated race car or track car or something. But I still want
load up you know the wife and go get ice cream on Sunday. Totally understand. I want a couple of
those. You're right. I hear you. But with that you know you could get away with a Cerro Metallic
again and it really depends on power level. You know if you're in if you're north of like
600 foot pounds of torque in terms of your engine, you're pretty much going to be stuck with a more
aggressive clutch because you just you have that. However there is a bit of a hack is you can in
certain applications say like an LS or a Bible Mustang or something like that. Certain applications
there is a twin option. So a twin disc and I've got a couple of them that we can show you but
a twin disc instead of just like it implies instead of one disc you got two. And what that does is it
doubles the amount of friction surface you have available. So as a result, there's a lot more
holding capacity, but you can also back off on the aggressiveness of the friction material itself.
So you kind of get the best of both worlds. You have that 900 foot pounds of holding capacity,
but it's still organic friction material. There's just a lot more of it. Okay and as a result,
you know it's not going to be as super grabby and some of those going to be very very streetable.
RSST is a great example of that. It's called that's a solid street twin. But it's an entry level
twin disc good for 925 foot pounds of torque just depending on the application. But organic
friction material still very streetable. It's going to be a little bit more aggressive than a
single disc, but it's a perfectly livable start. So I'll give you two options right. So we have
two different toys at two different levels. I have a 650 horsepower toy that 100% wasn't built
really to be a daily driving car, but it's what we do with it. And then we have a capable of 1200
horsepower that is a 100% looker. It's more you open the hood and you kind of go oh and it probably
shouldn't be street driven because it really was, but we put a crazy race motor inside a street car
in those setup as those applications. Give me the hack for it to set it up so I can still kind
of make it right. And so once again that tipping point typically from like a single disc versus
getting into the twins is right about that 650 right about that that first example that you had.
So at that point I would want to have a conversation in terms of like what are you really
doing with the car? Is it is it really more dedicated track or you know are we putting
you know 500 to 1000 miles a month on the street? Absolutely. And that would you know if you're if
it's more street you know and not quite as dedicated track I'd probably stick with a single but
but definitely like a dual friction you know something that's going to be a little bit more
aggressive. Now that 1200 horse example that you are solidly in twin territory. I mean there's you
just can't build well you could build a single disc but you couldn't you'd need a linebacker's
left leg to actually ride the clutch you know what I mean? So with that you would saw that you'd
be in twin territory but like our dyad which is our high end twin right but the organic version
is good for 1,300 foot pounds of torque. Again I'm using like LS example. Everybody uses that as
like the level right. But you know but so we have the DS which is organic that would be perfect
for that application where it's mostly street like you said largely a show car but you want to be
able to drive it a little bit and you want to be able to get in and it's not going to blow the
clutch off. So but we also then have that same clutch we have it available in an XDS which is
same clutch but serametallic. That one is very aggressive 1600 foot pounds of holding capacity
you aren't going to you you aren't going to blow through the clutch on that but it's pretty on off
switching. So uh same same but not so same same. Exactly yeah so it's all about trade-offs so you
know you just like many things if you want to go one direction you sometimes got to give up something
on the other 100% yeah. So before we get out of here you have this setup that's over here
that is the new Ford Mustang setup correct? Yeah well that's the uh this is the dark horse so
dark horse is for those that aren't familiar uh dark horse is a special racing package that
Ford released for the Mustang and they actually it's kind of like the old Irox series if people
are familiar with that where it's it's kind of a spec class race car. They're technically not supposed
to be driven on the street I know people do but they they have a there there's you know they're
built to be abused essentially and the factory clutch in those things is kind of borderline
and so that is the biggest thing I hear right this second and with somebody in the family that
owns one it's uh he's not happy with the clutch setup that. Yeah so with that you know again and
again if you've if you've you know added a forced induction with a supercharger on or
something like that you know you're way beyond what the stock clutch because it's really borderline
just in a in a factory absolutely and so that that is our dyad that's our high end twin twin
disc and again I have it available as a DS which is the organic and the XDS which is a pretty much
full-on dedicated race stuff perhaps and so you know for something that's driven on the street I would
definitely go to the DS route but you've got 1300 foot pounds all the capacity you like I said the
the clutch is going to take and with that you know it's going to take a lot more abuse as well
because there's just better components in it there's better friction material
it's not cheap right yeah you know you gotta play some yeah yeah horse power is never cheap
toys are not cheap so guys I guess that kind of answers all the questions the last question I have
for you is warranty warranty okay well standard warranty for centerforces one year from the
date of purchase so if you have a you know within that year there's really not a mileage limit on
it either and within that year if you have any issues give us a call we'll happily run you through
the process we'll inevitably you know we'll have you have you check a few things just make sure
after you know everything's up to snuff and everything and then from there if we determine
there's something wrong with it pull it out send it to us we'll evaluate it make sure that you know
yep okay well I mean because at the end of the day as much as we'd like to tell you that we're
a hundred percent perfect every single time you know mistakes happen we're all human at the end
and we'll stand behind yeah I answer that all the time you guys heard on the show a bunch of times
it's not when there is a problem it's how you handle it in the end exactly and that is what
makes the best customer service and the best companies just like you guys Trent thank you very
much for your time sir we're gonna go ahead and get out of here you guys listen up stuff coming soon

we're rigid industries we've been in the market space for a very long time we're pioneers and just
bringing new features to the marketplace one of the things we did in the last couple years is we
showcase the way to switch between two different color tones with our oem partner to yoda so some
of you guys are lucky enough to get that in your platform where you can switch between white and
amber while we wanted to bring that tech and elevate it even more to the aftermarket side of
things so we came out with phoenix so we're introducing phoenix which is at about a five and
a half inch size and then phoenix xl the bigger brother which is around a little bit over six
close to seven inches this new unique product does really well for us because not only do we bring
the feature of being able to go between white and amber we actually get five different color tones
to select from that's going to help you through different visibility and all sorts of weather
elements so really excited for this it's pretty awesome so i was taking a look so i see that you
guys have a couple of different options for this so you can actually run it on a standalone button
on itself you can actually integrate in the vehicle or you guys in this like in this vehicle you guys
actually have it hooked up to a pad right yeah so what we do is we try to do it with switch logic
which keeps it really simple where you have a solution right out of the box there's a lot of
builds that do have you know more intricate items and accessories where you do need a switch panel
things like that it's going to be able to fall into both so out of the box it's a three wire system
you got your common ground and then you got your power for the light to power on and then a momentary
side where you can select and scroll through the different color tones if you hold that guy for three
seconds you even get a really cool feature of backlighting all right so for the amateur guy
right that's just starting out and we've been talking about that a lot today because it's come
up in a lot of conversations for us recently and he wanted to buy a setup like this average install
time for him to try to figure out himself yeah so everything that we provide we try and provide
a harness that's going to give you a plug-and-play system I would say a good you know knowing your
location and depending where it's going to go you always got to make sure you're prepped there
have your route for wiring and things like that that's the most kind of intricate piece of it
but you know a couple hours it's all universal you bracket just find a nice spot where you're
going to be able to bolt and have your hardware on there and then the harness provides you leads
to the battery and then leads to the light and then leads to a switch so it's pretty cut and dry
it just depends on where exactly you're going to mount it and just making
you know the right preparation to run that wire through there okay so for everybody to ask me
because of one of the big questions here at SEMA all the different stuff that we've been covering
you guys have a lifetime warranty okay you guys are USA made you're out of Gilbert Arizona right
we are at a Gilbert Arizona okay since 2006 that's correct see I did a little research
here proud of me huh I know you guys this product because I was talking before we got on camera
so we live out in the country and with it being a lot of different like open land area
it gets really dark at night right I like to run something that's going to illuminate everything
in front of me that I can see big time because of deer and all that kind of stuff that run out
in front of us all year long so if I wanted to do a setup what would you suggest just do some
smaller lights maybe do like a bar light what would be your suggestion on somebody like that
absolutely I mean first and foremost I always like to say you know look at the real estate you
got left and that's either going to lead you towards a bar or towards pods with the bar
you can only get up and down tilt but maybe it's it's in a really good location and straight
forwards the application you're going to need it's going to be super easy with pods you do get
some versatility not only tilt up and down but also you know shift them left or point them right
so you get a little bit more about that when it comes to selecting which light for rigid
you know we have a variety because we put light where it's needed so I would just say kind of
understand what kind of lighting you're lacking whether it's spread or extra distance and we have
an OPTIQ for a light that's purpose built for that type of application so if you have really
nice headlights that give you some nice spread but you need some more distance a pair of spots
you just got to kind of pick what size that you like and then go with that route with the new
phoenix what I like about this is you can buy the light and then you can buy extra additional
accessories to change the lens and change your beam pattern so very versatile and you can kind of
build it to your needs that's kind of cool so what we're going to do guys we're going to go ahead
and go over and I'm going to show you exactly what they have on the board all right so here we have
a closer look at phoenix right here you can see the phoenix light in our connect style so another
option that's going to be available for the phoenix pod is going to be that you'll be able to connect
this into different lengths like a 20 inch 30 inch 40 inch and 50 inch to kind of simulate the light
bar sizes but this will give you independency with different optics within itself if you want to go
ahead and customize that and then here's a closer look of it by itself and then it's bigger brother
the phoenix xl a little bit of a closer look here as well I'll try and show you what it is
with the different color tones that we do here you can see there we're starting off with the
hundred percent amber and you can see that in the image down low and then we start to scroll
through all the different color tones that are available so depending on the element that you're
dealing with you know if you're doing a desert run and you're at the front of the pack then dust
and elements are not an issue for you you can run white all day long as soon as you get into
the back of the pack or you got some dust coming up you want to get it yourself into a warmer color
that's going to give you that visibility and not get that bounce back amber is always going to give
you the best out of all but depending how thick that that element is you can select between those
five different color tones and get exactly the color tone you're needing all right guys so that's
going to round out all of our coverage here at rigid and all of their setups so one thing I know
for sure if you need something you can find it here but if you need lights we're going to
www.rigidindustries.com all right guys you guys stay tuned I got a lot more to cover for you
hey guys this is Dave again so we're hanging out with warrior witches and this is Greg we him and
I were talking a little bit off camera and we're having a conversation so if you guys have never
heard of them they debuted in 2004 and this is their debut here at SEMA you guys got a lot of
big setup here man you can't miss this thing right yeah we definitely do you cannot miss
hellboy back here this is one of our influencers rick murphy okay he's uh he's wrecker rick on
youtube if you've seen him there this is his dodge 5500 it's uh it's got rear steer I mean the thing
is just it's set up to go anywhere to recover anything it's got five warrior winches wrapped
around it so yeah it is massive I've noticed as we were walking up I could see it hovering over
everything from far away and I was like that's got to be it right there so tell me a little bit
you guys are debuting your two-in-one wireless and remote winch as well right yes so all of our
witches now come with a two-in-one wireless remote okay and this is the first time we've done that
you know most of the time you have to buy a wireless separately this one everything's just packed
nice nice and neatly together and it literally comes with every single which we sell all right
and what separates you guys from everybody else when it comes to this setup warranty quality of
the build and and the way we back our winches we are just so excited we're all a group of passionate
guys about these winches we're family owned we've been family owned for 28 years and we're going to
remain that way we just really enjoy making sure people have gear that they can be confident in
when they're on the trail okay so as far as the different sizes you guys have available and the
different strengths what do you guys have out there that's going to be available to the public
so available to the public you can start as low as 2 000 pound for your little power sports
go all the way up to 66 000 pound in our hydraulic winches wow 66 100 pounds all right that's cool
what can you tell me about this setup as far as you know you have a lot of different setups for
the amateur guy right and then you got to have the guy that's just totally completely max extreme
if you were going to say amateur what range would he want to be in and then the guy that's just way
out there what range where do you want to be in sure so our amateur our entry level winches we
call it is our brand new Sentinel winch we just debuted it this morning no I've seen it before
today we've got him on the back side over here hi you want to walk around there and take a look yeah
we go take a look hey guys so we're going to show you some of these wenches he's going to walk us
through so show us what you got yeah so this is our what we consider our entry level winch it's our
Sentinel winch brand new just debuted this morning about nine o'clock when the show opened so these
guys are ip67 rated metal casing they come in synthetic rope or steel cable they come in sizes
of 8 000 10 000 and 12 500 pounds okay so for the guy who's just getting involved right dumb it down
for him a little bit what should he be looking for so he knows what he's buying is something great
he's the biggest thing he wants to look for in a winch is going to be the word if you're you're
going to see a lot of value winches out there but they're going to say 90 day warranty at two year
warranty that doesn't give me or anybody else any confidence that they're going to perform when they
need it to the biggest thing about a winch is you want it to perform when you need it but you
don't necessarily know when you're going to need it yeah the worst thing to be is out on the trail
find out you need something the first time you go to use it or maybe you played around with it at
home and now this is when you really need to find out it's not what you need right that's exactly
right you you don't want it to uh to just fail on you on the trail one over second and you guys
have once again a five year warranty on these on the Sentinel winch yes we have a five year warranty
on the electrics on the internals the metal the gearing all of its lifetime warranty and that's
across every winch we sell awesome so if somebody wanted to grab one of these where they can be
looking for them at they're going to go to warrior winches.com okay now do you guys sell
anything through any other vendors or anything like that if somebody wanted to find it we do
we've got extreme terrain we've got american trucks both those you know e-tailers basically
at extremeterrain.com americantrucks.com we are in talks with some others at the moment we've got
some mom and pop shops that are around if you go to our website and you don't want to buy directly
you want to kind of see it in person there's a dealer locator you can go uh you can go see who's
near you all right let's shout out that website it's a warrior winches.com all right guys well
we got everything covered here if you guys need any more information or you want something that's
actually a great product and it has a great warranty this is where you're going to find them
Greg thank you much for your time i appreciate it sir and we'll talk to you guys soon
hey guys so you're no stranger to vinnish air if you're building a hot rod i'm hanging out here
with rick love here in vinnish airs booth how's it going buddy it's doing great grab it having a
good show second day good crowd nice day outside it's all good the booth is crowded very crowded
which tells you that they're building a great product right well we like to think so yeah
so as you guys know what i've talked before i have a vinnish air system on our project the bad
am which is our 77 trans am i had the compressor and i'm getting ready to start moving to the
internal components which rick just told me should be a pretty easy install for us we make a gen five
sure fit kit for that for that trans am those fire birds bolt-in system heat cool defrost even
includes a new electronically controlled control panel so keep that factory look kind of mimics the
factory look on that and everything gives you modern technology with kind of like a factory look
okay so you guys were found it in 1976 so you guys had a long time to perfect this and get it right
yeah we've been doing this for a while yeah absolutely so i can tell you guys i like the setup
so one of the things i know and if you look at the big setup here in the belt drive system
gives you a couple different choices and you know if you guys want to go something that's you know
little subtle they got it if you want something that goes wow you guys have it i mean you have
everything you've thought it all out from the control panels that you put inside the car
should the setup underneath the engine you have the complete package everybody needs no matter
what it is yeah and and people need to understand that air conditioning is a system you know just
like brakes is a system you got to use the right master cylinder to match up to the components that
you're using to the calipers and all of that it's the same way with air conditioning you've got to
have the right size heat exchangers you got to have the right evaporator inside your car and then
you got to have a large enough compressor and condenser to move the refrigerant and to take
the heat away so it comes down to matching components to get the right performance absolutely
so here's one of the things so with all the different people that we have that listen to the
show and i have people that are amateurs i have people that have been doing this for a long time
let's just take it through let's say i'm an amateur and i'm just starting out and i found you guys
online and i stump because everybody stumbles across you i mean just at some point you're
going to stumble across them unless you're sleeping underneath a rock you're going to definitely
stumble across them so guys late at night he's laying in bed doing the deep dive he's he comes
across you he goes okay i think that's what i want to do but he's a little intimidated right
where does he start well the first thing is on our website you can type in what car you have you
know and we've got over 180 sure fit kits and a sure fit kit is a system designed specifically
for a vehicle okay so whether it being it it is a complete system a bolt-in condenser in front of
the radiator the inside of apparatus kit with controls all the lines and hoses compressor
compressor bracket in your case you've already got a compressor and brackets so we can supply all the
other parts for the system but it becomes a bolt-in at that point once you find that we have a sure
fit kit for your car we have the instructions all online so you can look through the entire
installation process and think okay this is exactly what's involved with this so that's the first
place to start okay so i noticed as i was searching around a little bit i find a lot of video showing
me how to put your guys the stuff in as well so i don't feel lost i feel like the best thing about
videos not tell you about everybody's a youtube warrior right i mean to a certain degree but
it has its advantages because you feel like there's a buddy with you in the garage you can literally go
to one of the videos you can click on it you can stop it and you can look at it what they're telling
you and then go back and reference it and it's almost like you're playing off of somebody with
you like hey what do i do next what would you do and stuff like that so you guys have a lot of that
out there and a lot of that reference um was that something that was kind of pre-thought so
they're just kind of calculated on its own and came around well again we've been around for
almost 50 years so you know the things have changed right regression and it's been a progression and
you know the old days when you brought out the chilton man you'll decide to figure out how to
take a dash apart or something like that that's long gone and people are video centric and you
learn best when you can see somebody doing it really cool a couple years ago a father and son
was doing an installation in a camaro okay and he sent me a picture from the shop and he was doing
this with his son and he took a picture of his son at the toolbox watching the video of the install
watching billy doing the install and then relating that to what he was doing in the car and that was
really cool to see because it told us that those videos were very very helpful as they were doing
this so that was kind of cool so i told everybody you know when you're building cars and stuff one
of the biggest things that you could do to help yourself out is to put a tv in the garage that
you can connect so you can actually sit right next to the car and kind of look at the car and
look what they're doing back and forth i mean everybody's like well i got my phone it is great
when it's on a bigger screen you guys just there and look at you can reference it so if you guys
haven't thought about that that's a little helpful tip because i do i messed around with my phone and
i have the tv i just haven't had time to install it yet it's out there i just haven't had time to
make it work yet but now i need to say it i'm like i mean probably go i get around to doing that
just a little bit especially with these new installs we're getting ready to do as you guys know
we have white noise as well which we're going to put a finish air system in and we're excited about
doing that a lot of different projects coming up and these are the guys that you're going to
definitely want to get if you had to single out one product you want to talk about today what would
it be man i'll tell you we're we've got so many new products that seem to this year we're really
excited about it we're kind of moving you know we've always been classic car us-based cars and
trucks and everything and now we're kind of venturing into some other areas we're debuting
here it seemed a brand new bolt-in sure-fit kit for the 240 260 280 z cars they're coming up in
popularity quite a bit right now absolutely yeah and the price tags are going through the roof on
them it's crazy but it's good though it's something else yeah a lot of passion with those cars yeah
everything else you know and guys start to do some engine swaps in them and all of that i mean they
timeless styling you know great cars they're lightweight great performers and you're seeing
the aftermarket have suspension upgrades available now engine upgrades available and you know our
climate control system is a great addition to that if you're going to be driving the vehicle so
we're real excited about that we've talked to quite a few people here that oh my gosh you're
doing this yeah yeah and we're at uh we're at ls fest and when we were at ls fest we saw the rise
of the 240 the 280 z's out of nowhere for it just seemed like i saw a lot of people restoring them
and now i'm really seeing big power being put into them and i'm seeing a lot of money being
dropped into these cars which is cool so it means you guys are right on target you're keeping with
that flow all right guys well i think we have everything we can cover here it is one of those
things if you guys need an ac for your car vintage air is the place and i can personally put my stamp
on it because i wouldn't have bought it you guys know i'm real picky about the stuff that i buy
and i do my deep dyes late at night i'm on there looking and i'm reloading all research and stuff
and every time as i'm researching comes right back to one place and that's going to be you guys
rick thank you for your time very much appreciate it we're gonna go ahead and get out of here guys
and we'll talk to you soon well guys it looks like our time here in vagus has finally come to an end
