LIVE
There's a professional way to do it, don't you? There would be a front-wheel drive. You got anyone you want to think? Just myself. And now it do the off-road, it's dead, dead, dead. General, what would you go for? I see it's in there, it's in there. Okay, because it's not as safe with that. What do you do?
It's not.
Automotive perfection comes in the form of two letters, A and U.
Long live my LTD.
Welcome to Car Talk, it's Shuzuna here tonight for 9 North West FM. It's me, Madi J, in the studio with Mr. Chad DeBel. How you doing?
Hello. On the line with Mr. David Prince.
Hello. Hello.
It's happening. They'd like your answering a phone.
Hello.
Quite literally. And we're also joining the other studio of 9 North West FM. Hello, Alan deep.
Hello. Hello, fellas. I've given the show. Who it is. Let's get given the shocker.
Hello, Jens, good to see you all.
Yo, yo. Good to be seen. Good to be seen. That is some glad you're good to be seen. David Prince, you are off to the to the wetlands on on.
The place is always predominantly cold and rainy, but the U.K.
So, well, it's the last time we get to see him in Australia for a good month, I'd say.
Yeah, about that. Yeah, so I'll be back.
Yeah, we'll be absolutely rusty European Japanese car spam.
Yes, absolutely. All the, all the holes in accord, euros, floor panels.
But how are you, Jens? Yeah, good. Yeah, good.
I'll give you a different background tonight. Yeah, I know. Where's David?
It's a bit playing.
Minimalist. Minimalist. I just looked for myself. Where am I happiest in my bed? So what? Why leave?
This is true. It's a very good. I've been out of it today, but I thought, you know, no, you haven't just been out of it.
He is wearing a shirt. He actually is on the way underneath.
I got shorts on. You're wearing the same sort of a shirt.
We didn't get the memo seriously. Yeah. On down. Let's talk about stuff.
Let's talk about stuff. Well, it's good to see you guys. Let's do some car updates.
First and foremost, David Prince updates with you.
Oh, picking things up, putting things away, dropping things off.
Yeah, I could do that it actually.
I did a bit of a run in the end one the other night. I did my...
We've all heard of the Melburgring, which is out through Warburden across Reifton and...
The Melburgring. I haven't actually heard that term.
Oh, the Melburgring, haven't you? Melburgring. No, it's a great drive.
It's quite a bit longer than the Melburgring.
But I'm the Melburgring that takes in a bit of windy, fun bit of road and out through
sort of Ringwarden, Warren Diet and stuff and then cutting back around.
I find that gives cars a good sort of 45-minute run up to an hour sort of thing,
depending on traffic. Charge the battery bit of freeway work, bit of sixth gear.
And yeah, so I had a bit of a go in that before putting away for a few weeks.
I picked up the Grand Prix today. They've just...
How are we going to the Grand Prix? Is that all better?
It's much, much better. So it will roll now when you...
With no handbrake, which is a good thing.
Well, it's you with it.
Well, they were quite... They just adjusted everything again.
And I said, this seems like more than just an adjustment.
I know, I know. Anyway, we've just got to use it and drive it.
But it's... One of my boys is going to be doing that while I'm away.
Went trawling for some scampy spare parts through the garage over the weekend with number two.
And who's doing an N360 restoration, which is going to be spectacular,
when it's not, let's say, it's looking incredible.
But yeah, he said, I do want to these. I think I do have one of those.
Run me, run me, run me. Oh, here's one. And breath.
So it's always good to go through that.
I've lucky enough that I've got a compactus in my garage,
which actually is compactus full of scamparts, which is great.
So as scamp owners know, they really need parts.
So there's only about three moving parts.
And so if you have spare parts, spare scamparts,
you usually hang on to them for a long time.
Absolutely.
But it's nice to be able to put something into use.
Absolutely.
That's good.
But two other important bits of information.
Matchbox of released an FL5 Type-R Civic in Racing Blue.
I'd bought two today.
Right.
Okay.
Yeah.
I've been too arrogant.
See, see, the next part, David was going to say,
they're sold out everywhere.
That's right.
I mean, I've been to six more words this week trying to find out.
I got, I bought two today.
Wow.
They're in the boot of my car.
There were the glass and parts.
More importantly, what's it?
Yeah.
What else is in the box?
Because I did find a box today and it actually had like a two CV
and a white Mazda RX8.
It's a league of GT4.
Yeah.
I bought one of those as well.
Yeah.
Okay.
Or I haven't found that box yet.
Okay.
Right.
That annoys me.
Okay.
Come to Glaston Park.
Yeah.
Always a good spot.
Those, servos.
Servos, yeah.
Yeah.
Coles express what used to be Coles express.
Servos.
They usually have a box of them and.
I mean, kids aren't really going in there and.
They're kind of like.
I overlooked, I think.
There are a lot of boy kids, but people like Matt, you know, they're there.
Well, can I help you?
There's only so many mats.
Thank you.
I'm guessing I don't go to Coles express in Glaston Park.
Because they've been rummaged through already.
So.
I'm pushing kids out of the way.
In Woolworth.
That's what I do.
Yeah.
He's there.
You look bad.
What about a creepy old gray head man going through the box and leaving them.
Well, I always say it's for it's for my, it's for you, my nephew Jimmy.
When I get, uh, when I get asked, there was, you know, grandchildren now.
I can set it.
Great.
You can.
Thank you.
Fantastic.
Okay.
I'm getting used to this game.
So, you know, I'm still still trying to work out the hacks.
Well, I don't know.
It is a good.
It's the best idea, David.
Because I used to get asked that came out.
I used to go.
I used to go.
When they used to do it for a dollar.
The hot was for a dollar.
I used to clean up.
It was bad.
And I used to clean up.
It was bad.
And, um, and he's like, she's fine.
I'm like, yeah, look, my little nephew loves him.
Yeah.
Billing your mind.
I was like 18 at the time.
I know.
When I was.
Jimmy.
So it was for little Jimmy.
He's going to cry at the collection.
Doesn't he?
Jimmy's got thousands of them.
I'm currently.
Jimmy's a lucky little boy.
He's a big guy.
He's well stocked.
He's, uh, he's a lucky little 34 year old man.
So.
Okay.
Well, that was number one.
Thank you.
That, uh, I am relieved.
I've only seen them online previously.
So I didn't believe they're in Australia until someone in the car club.
The other who should remain nameless said, uh, oh, you've got one.
And I was right.
Oh, could there be right?
Okay.
If I find another one, David, I'll get you one because I put one for, uh, for my mother
because she has an FL5 and one for herself.
So if I find, if I find one, I will ensure to get you.
They only have them in blue in the blue.
Yeah.
I'll be.
I'll come out in white as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, they often just change the color of the, of the, what the current.
That boost blue on the real car.
It's very.
Well, it's called racing blue in one market and boost blue in the other.
Yeah, that's.
All right.
So I'm sort of on the money.
I'd get half a point if that was the quiz.
You would.
And now it's not on the quiz.
Holy shanigans.
Holy shanigans.
Holy shanigans.
They're starting.
You have anyone.
He's right.
You didn't buzz in it.
Yeah.
And the other thing I was going to, the other reason I was in, in war was there were no news
agents anymore.
I don't know.
There's, there's no news agents.
So I was at the same war with looking for the current edition of unique cars that just
come out.
That's got a great right up of that magnet 40 in it.
Oh, yes.
Yes.
So I must find a copy.
It's got a Falcon panel van on the front, but it's got two pages.
It makes this inside.
So the race really reaches your little Australia post outlet.
That are in the site.
Oh, yes.
They're usually a news agent because they're a licensed one.
So they usually like tack it on to a news agency or some other sort of little business.
Right.
So look out for those.
Yep.
And they're usually some magazine.
It's like my one around the corner.
Those definitely.
Yeah.
Well, it's a big, the big war worth.
Where I was looking for here for five top hours does have, you know, it's got your hello
magazine and your, you know, for his own, brand or escape magazines in the country.
Or make a render escape.
You know, how magazine for render escape each of those, you know, or escape to a brand.
Escape to a brand.
That's it.
Come to a brand in the year.
So they usually have have a good record magazines as well.
But, you know, and wheels and, and yeah, none of them had wheels.
They didn't have.
Yeah.
So anyway, I like it when you all fight up, David.
It's very funny.
Sorry, David.
I didn't mean to get that angry about me.
A bad week from that point of view.
But great week in other ways.
So I don't agree.
It's used to buy a unique cast magazine.
I always, I always feel guilty buying magazines.
And you don't need it when you're doing it.
It's $6 a year.
It's spend or whatever it is.
There's probably more like $13 now.
There's no.
They are.
They're a bit pricey these days.
2004 prices.
But now I've gone by it.
If it's got Magnum 40 in it.
Oh, good.
We're having in the collection.
Which was the, what, what was the magazine's name?
A unique cast.
But that sales magazine, that's got some good,
usually has some good stories and readers rising.
And there's a few, a few okay cars in there too.
Sometimes you'll find cars in those mags that don't,
that people are old school, they don't put them online
or do anything with the gun.
So yeah.
Sure.
What climbs there are some gems out there
that don't make it to a wider audience.
Yes.
That is, that is absolutely very true.
I've only even bought one car.
That was my next question.
Have you ever bought one car from you?
One car.
And I still have a copy of the magazine.
It was the 1969 MG Midget that came from unique cars.
Well, actually have the unique cars that has the scamp
advertised in it that Mitchell now has.
Oh, it is.
Three owners ago.
And we know it's the car because it's been repainted.
It had been repainted.
Purple and, you know, had some mods done to it,
which have all been thankfully.
I'm done.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
That's cool.
We are also joined by Jim Barlow and Scotty Dow Johnson.
How are you, gentlemen?
Well, thank you very much.
We just sent into some car presentation.
We've got a full house tonight, gentlemen.
This is a, this is basically out, back to out.
Alan deep updates with you,
seeing Mr. Committee man over here.
He's always running around.
Always having to run out.
But thank you for the moment.
I think I mentioned last week that the DMACC
had a bit of smell in the air conditioning.
Mm-hmm.
Even though I changed out the filter to a new carbon filter.
Apart from the regular debris that's in the filter,
there was nothing particularly concerning.
So I decided to use one of those.
Disent, oh, I'm called a disinfectant,
but like a kind of fresh air,
air conditioning and refreshing sprays.
They just kind of run the air conditioning on research,
full blast, and put the can on,
give the can a good shake,
and then let the can kind of,
fume me out the car for lack of a better word.
So I did that on Sunday afternoon,
around about 15, 20 minutes
with the air conditioning running.
And then it says you're supposed to air it out afterwards.
I decided to forgo that step
and just close up the car and leave.
And then kind of edit out a little bit before I left
to the movies on Sunday night.
And it seemed to do the trick,
like I've run the air conditioning
in research mode more recently.
And I feel like there's still a hint of it there,
but it's certainly not as bad as it was.
Like it basically just happened in like ways
where it's in research, you're fine.
It's smelling completely normal
and then you just get hit by this wave of kind of something there.
Almost like, I wouldn't call it moldy necessarily,
but maybe like old food, possibly as well.
So I've hunted around the car looking for any kind of scraps
of food in case that was okay,
the situation, but it wasn't that.
But I think it seems to have done the trick.
Given that there was a few warmer days coming up,
I'll probably run in the air conditioning in research,
gone to work, will come back from work.
So, you know, that'll be the bigger test.
But it seems to have done the trick for me so far.
I think the next step would be hustling somebody
for an ozone machine and then kind of running the ozone
for about 30, 40 minutes and trying to kill,
if there's any other kind of mold or bacteria exist.
Where you're going to find where they're.
Look, the worst case scenario I've bought
and I start running to get out to the homies.
We're regrouped by costs.
We looked at, I looked at a canards fire
and I think they want like 60 bucks a day.
I'm pretty sure I can buy one for that much money.
Right, I was, it was a rhetorical question.
Oh, sorry.
Yes, no.
Of course.
The interior, man.
The interior, man.
Why would the interior man not have that?
Well, a little bit.
I guess we'll be in court later.
We may well be.
Looks like I'll be the one renting it off you.
But that, yeah.
So, I'll, I'll wait.
It's not the worst idea to run some ozone torrent anyway.
But if, you know, I'll see.
Disturbing you, David, in your pieces, you know,
if I can avoid it, I'll try to avoid it.
But before it goes.
Yeah, that's true.
What do you think of David?
I'm going to figure this out.
Three days.
Ah, it'll work the way to David returns.
But by then, I'll hopefully have a better idea
when this lip treatments worked along.
Maybe I'm still starting to think that the dealership,
whenever they try to sell me that,
any finishing disinfection,
what's something in there just to,
just because I refuse their service.
I think they're sabotaging you.
So you have to buy something.
Yeah.
So I have to buy it.
I'm like, I already.
You know, I'm just going to go to a different service center,
but an independent mechanic that will learn you.
You know what happened to Mum's car,
the Mercedes had this awful smell for so long
and ended up being.
There was a milky drink that was underneath her seat.
Oh.
That's bad.
It wasn't from any of us.
It was just when she got it.
She got it washed by some people
because she doesn't really wash it herself anymore.
So it was yeah, from them,
they must have had a drink or something.
A milky drink and had it sitting there
and they knocked it and ended up underneath the seat.
And they've got me about it.
That's disgusting.
My mum, I've mentioned this before I had a similar thing.
Her Yarris was pretty new
and it just had this funk to it.
And I was like, why does this new car have this funk?
And I found under the boot floor
because it's a double layer sort of a boot floor thing,
she'd put a two-litre bottle of milk
and it expanded.
It was about to explode.
And I was like, oh my dear Lord,
we got that in time.
At that point, at that point, you sell the car.
Like it's exploding in the,
you'd never get that smell out.
No, no.
It would have been yoga by that brand.
It would have been yoga.
It would have been yoga.
Very bad.
The only car that the Ozone machine has defeated
that in my experience was Hyundai IX35.
And yeah, they had a bottle,
they did the shopping
and cut on a milk rolled under the seat.
They parked the car in the garage
one away from month.
It had exploded.
And I gave it three goes
and in the end they traded the car
like they just had.
Yeah, it was not gone.
Not gone.
When they were for the train of David,
did they, they're like,
absolutely like just bomb it with debris.
The reason everything explodes.
Yeah, windows down,
you know, like the hole.
I'd imagine that's what they did
because it was a vial.
It was really terrible.
Horrible smell.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I don't think that was accidental
on those car cleaners.
If it wasn't your mum's milky drink,
that would have to have been something they'd have done.
Who would be having a milky drink inside a car
they're detailing?
Yeah.
They wanted to.
And then spill it under the seat
so that you'd have to have people coming back.
That's just, yeah.
It took us so long.
We're doing so much cleaning
and running things through the vent and stuff.
Ridiculous. Where is this coming from?
And then eventually I'm going through
and doing like a full deep clean
because it's really,
oh, as you would know,
it's really hard.
You can't see anything under those seats
because of all the electrics
that are underneath it
and you know,
headed seats and everything.
So it's hard to see under there
and eventually I found it as like,
oh my god.
That's it.
That's the smell.
It's the awe of growth.
You know,
it's a solid dinner for me.
Very bad.
It doesn't smell like it at all.
So once we got rid of that
and just cleaned clean the carpet
because it didn't spill,
didn't really spill on the carpet that much.
Yep.
There's still more kind of in the container.
So happy your days.
Yeah.
We'll stay tuned to next week's episode
where I talk about the five chicken nuggets
I found under the first blanket.
Here's the story.
When I worked at BMW Melbourne,
we had a demonstrator
and it was an X5.
Well, it was actually an X5
that was like a cancelled customer order
and they bought the cup back
or something like that.
Anyway, then it became,
it was so heavily optioned
for its time.
This is like 2009.
This thing had heated seats,
heated steering wheel,
top end sound system,
roof,
mags,
sport packs,
something else, something else.
It had a bunch of weird options on it.
Anyway, they just kept it
as sort of the staff loaner
as in,
if you're going to the snow,
you'd take that car.
So one day,
I did take to the snow.
I took it a few years,
and I actually,
one day I slammed on the brakes
for some reason
and a chicken nugget rolled out
from under the passenger seat.
And I said,
the DP's wife had been driving it around
for a bit with the kids
and I said,
oh, this nugget rolled out,
it was disgusting,
you know,
so then, from then on,
it was known as the nugget,
the chicken nugget.
We didn't use it in the nugget this week.
We're the nugget.
And it was off.
We even had makers in that car
since like 18 months,
I was like,
like, it had been there a lot.
Oh,
the union.
Luckily that sort of food
just never disintegrates.
Well, no, it's makin'.
Yeah, it just stays as it is.
It almost looked the same.
You could probably eat and be aged.
Yeah.
You could have some sweet sail.
Well, let's give it a go.
That was known as the nugget,
Edward Bunting.
It was known as the nugget.
And also,
so that car copped a lot of abuse,
you know, it was out on long term lines
and going to the snow and all that chicken nugget
under the seat.
And it copped the hail storm somewhere around.
When was that?
2012 or 30?
Yeah.
The real bad one.
It got smashed by the hail storm
and then repaired from that.
It just had so many lives,
you know,
for all these cars we buy
that are like one owner
and beautifully treated and all of that.
This thing,
this thing had had a real hard life.
I remember one client borrowed it
and he said to me,
oh, it's a bit dirty in the back end.
I said, that's all right.
We'll take it down to detailing.
Don't stress about cleaning.
He's like, no, no, no,
it's really a bit bad.
And I'm like, no, seriously,
like we've got deep tailors.
That's why they're there.
We got that back.
Oh my god.
The kids had eaten
like ice creams in the back seat.
It had gone into the carpet
like a raspberry ice cream.
It makes mushed their feet.
Oh, the carpet.
You know how a carpet has a pile to it.
There was no pile anymore
to the carpet.
It was a solid.
Oh, yeah.
It was full of strawberries.
It was full of strawberries.
It was a desk.
It was disgusting.
That was a nugget.
Nevertheless,
coming down the road
from Mount Hotham,
I did always appreciate the
heated steering wheel.
You know, when your fingers are frozen,
very, very nice to have heated steering wheel.
Do you know what I'm to that car?
It eventually got sold
through the use car department
to someone who knew the business
was like someone's cousin
or something.
Executive driven.
It got sold cheap.
I know that much.
It was cheap.
Yeah, well.
I'm trying to remember the region
on it.
I used to know the region.
It was in you.
GG.
It was.
It was space gray.
It was a three-leeded diesel
sultz gray on cream
beige liver.
No.
Opulent.
Opulent.
Opulent.
A few space gray.
The exfyes were there.
Yeah, that doesn't narrow it down.
But find one with those options.
I think it's probably long since
dead for now.
That car.
Yeah, that model didn't
particularly tend to last.
I imagine sitting in a scrap
out and somebody was like,
going through a look of a path
and they just like chicken nugget.
The nugget car.
The nugget car.
Well, it's thing.
Stick with it.
You're updated.
Where do we get to last time?
Border laser.
Oh, yeah, the laser.
You know about the laser.
It's good to remind me you're like,
hang on it.
There's something else you bought.
Yes.
I forgot about it,
because it's not at my house.
So if it's out of sight out of mind,
a bit.
The laser is booked in
to have a little road
with the glance
in about a week and a half.
The big girl Mercedes
380 SEL is on the road on
club plates.
I've been driving it around.
It's running really nicely
and driving very well.
However, the ABS light has
clicked on last weekend.
And I'm like,
yeah, right.
That's minor compared to other
things.
I'm okay with that.
So it's probably
dirty sensors or something
like that.
I'll chip away and work out what
that is.
And it's sort of was a reminder
to me that's what happened
when cars sit.
You know,
you sit cars.
Then you start using cars.
Things go wrong.
Yeah.
It's a common trajectory.
Yeah.
Sold the magna.
The VRX is gone.
No, it's gone.
Well, as of yesterday.
So that's gone to some new owners
who are going to do a road
worthy and fix a month
around a few things on that.
Pagero is back.
I think I mentioned that last
time.
Maybe it's back from our
Floyd and.
And the first day you picked
it up, wasn't it?
Yeah, last day.
Yeah,
happy days.
Happy days.
Pages running well.
The fuel gauge is a little
bit dicky.
You did fix that.
And we noticed it went just
before I left.
But that seems
a still a bit intermittent.
It was final away home.
And then just a couple
of times it's been a bit
dicky.
So that is what it is.
But no, the rest of it's
good.
My sister's just texted me
now and said, can I borrow
that on the weekend?
I'm like, yeah, sure.
So it won't be for sale just
yet.
Maybe next week.
Yeah, very nice.
Maybe it'll be a Christmas
vehicle.
See 180 little bends is almost
back from the workshop.
And then I'll advertise that
service month continues.
It's amazing how long
service month drags on for
even the number.
The sheer number of vehicles
involved.
Toronto.
Here's one that's going to
develop the slight
squeak from one of the belts.
But only on a random sort
of intermittent squeak.
And I said to the mechanic,
can you just check the belt
because it doesn't usually
squeak.
And it's just doing a little
bit of a squeak here and there.
What he found was the water
pump was dripping just
slightly.
When the drip went on the belt
it would squeak and then it
would dry out.
You know, just enough to give
it a little.
Wow.
That's like a
sort of
thing.
I know.
It's had a new water pump and
new spark plugs.
What's in there?
I grabbed the Renault last night
the car that we met with
Maddie J.
I know.
That's in for work out
where the oil leaks coming
from, which is quite a bad
oil leak.
It's a bit like if it was a
Q80 tanker in the ocean,
you know, seals and filthens
would die.
So I'm going to try
environmental hazard.
Yeah.
Thankfully, you think it's a
sun-played washer.
I was like, I was expecting
the aluminium sun to maybe
have a hairline crack in it.
But he thinks it's a
washer.
So I'm like, well, I hope
you're right.
Yeah.
So yeah, I was fanging around
in that last night.
Just on benzers, did you
happen to see on Facebook
where I can place that cheap
CE 24 valve?
I think a wrap it Steve
Miles has got.
Was it black one?
Arthur was navy blue
with beige.
I have, I think I did
glance at that.
There's a few CE's getting
around at the moment that
are not bad value.
Someone sent me a black
on gray today that was
eight.
I've seen others for sort
of 12 and 13.
And they're
not.
I mean, they will need
some more question, but
they're certainly a great
solid classic.
Yes.
So that's you.
Jim Ballo.
Updates with you, my
friend.
Well, so I won't cover
groundery covered by it
about the laser.
But I'm much happier
that that's in a much
happier place than
where it was before.
Really long Jim.
Nicky's been cleaning
it.
Yes, I did see all of that.
So I think the laser is
doing very, very well
and being in a much better
home than what I had for
it.
But otherwise in terms
of updates.
So I submitted my last
tape assignment today.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
I got a job off
yesterday from a
training organisation as
well.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Well done.
Thank you.
And then that's
a bit of a segue
because it was the end
of tape I was
funny, motivation a bit
hard.
So I promised that I
would, if I finished
by myself a
graduation present.
Oh,
so many day and I went
and had a look at it
at a perspective,
a graduation present
on the weekend.
I won't say
anything more yet,
because I'm still
waiting on some
things to get in.
But I may potentially
have bought
myself a graduation
present.
Yeah.
That's exciting.
Is it made in Japan?
Adam.
Is it made in Japan?
I'm not going
to say anything
else yet.
Yeah.
I was going to put the
mous on it.
The body.
It has four wheels.
I'll say that much.
It's not a motorcycle.
So that rolls out
any six by six.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Correcty.
Crawler.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So things are rolled out.
I'm bigger.
So if that goes
as I'm hoping it will,
then that will be a nice
Pleasant surprise. It seems like a card talk closes to close to question.
Absolutely. Thinking of, I think it's an Aureon.
Actually, why don't a lot of people just guess, that'd be fun.
No, because you won't tell us. We don't want to know just yet.
Or you can tell us later, but I'm going to guess Aureon.
Okay.
Ooh.
David Prince.
Um, I think I'm going to guess Magna Orvarada derivative thereof.
Scotty.
Camry.
Yeah, I was going to say Camry because you've been,
you were talking about them a few weeks ago.
So, okay, we'll go with that.
Hmm.
Ask Maddie, could that be cheating?
Oh, my guess was going to be reliant Robin, but you said four wheels.
There's one option tonight.
Yeah, Burns and Phil.
Are you sure it's not a reliant Robin?
I'm sure.
Well, he's your chast, though, in a three wheel occur.
Yeah.
What was it on?
Let me just, uh, I'll get back to you on that.
What's that thought?
What's the B&W?
G6E Turbo, uh, in Emperor with Creme Interior,
I'm going to go.
See, uh, we were talking about G6E Turbo,
was it's not that, or was it?
No, it's not that.
No, it's not that much money.
No.
So that's a very good gym, very good.
And the catch up was very good anyway, too.
So that was good.
That was good.
It was good to say, I'll have a chat.
Scotty, don't.
Oh, me, um, check.
Things this time, right?
Time might have saw the picture where I gave the blade a bit of a wash
and gave the front lawn a bit of a mo at the same time.
At the same time, really?
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm off.
I'm good.
I'm good.
Yeah, I'm good.
I can't see a graph.
I can't see a graph.
He's got a sponge in the left hand.
Yeah, I did with the mo,
and just going back up forward like the car.
I reckon there are blocks around Australia
that would love that idea.
They give their car washed
and their lawnmowered at the same time.
You could make money out of that, Scotty.
Scotty, we could be the dream team.
What's the other thing?
It's a Scotty secret on how I do that.
Yeah, so I went through and gave the clean.
Uh, I've got someone coming out on Monday to have a look at it
because the handbrake or footbreak
does not, does not work really.
It doesn't really engage.
So kind of figured that, uh,
you know, I had an inkling that it wasn't working at all
for, for a while now.
And then when I kind of just parked on a hill,
on a bit of an incline, I put it in neutral
and pushed in for the handbrake
and it just keeps on rolling.
So it doesn't engage.
Yeah, it's a electric, yeah.
Oh, it's a footbreak, you said sorry.
Yeah, you didn't know.
So I'm not sure if it's maybe got to do
because it's got the aftermarket brakes
front and rear.
Maybe it's got some to do with that.
So he's going to fix that for me hopefully
and also look at the brakes.
I think maybe the front
driver's side might stick
a little bit.
I kind of noticed
once I washed it
and I've got my foot completely,
I've got my foot on the brake
and then I take it off
it squeaks, it squeals a bit.
So I feel like it shouldn't, shouldn't,
it shouldn't let go.
Like it shouldn't still be grabbing
at that time.
So he's going to have a look at like,
he's going to have a look at that for me.
It's yes, I think the noise is coming
from the front driver's side
but he will have a look at both for me
because again, yeah, it's
aftermarket.
I mean, there's not cheap brakes,
they're not cheap aftermarket ones,
they're top quality ones.
But he will have a look at that
see if it's installed properly.
Correctly, yeah.
For me.
So get that one looked at.
That's on the Monday
because, yeah, sorry to some teachers there.
I finished up this week.
Well, I'll talk to you right now, Scotty.
The kids, the kids are done.
They finished on Friday
and this is my, my last week
had year seven orientation today.
Okay, moving on Scotty, moving on.
That's OK.
What else?
I went and started up the skyline.
I was going to take it out
but then I couldn't be bothered to move
my brother's car and stuff.
I've got a little bit lazy.
But it starts up fine.
So let that run.
I got the
fire extinguisher mount.
So I was going to just
just test fit it.
See how it goes.
And I was trying to test fit.
I'm like, this is ridiculous.
It doesn't fit at all.
Turns out it goes on the driver's side
and on the passenger side.
I don't feel it.
So I'm just sitting there going,
there's no way the bolts don't reach.
I have a look at the pitch.
I'm like, this is, it is the exact one.
I go, this is just absolutely just stupid.
What is this one for then?
This just doesn't reach, doesn't fit well.
And then there's a, there's a video
but not of my, not of my skyline.
It was a of them fitting one in and are 33
and they're fitting it and it's going in the,
in the driver's side.
I went, oh, that's probably what mine is.
They had a look and go, oh, yes,
bolts and everything line up there perfectly.
So yeah, it attaches there.
And then you just get the,
far angsting, we sure that's got the metal clasp.
And it just fits onto their clasp song.
And you're all good to roll.
Yeah, awesome.
So yeah, how did that end?
That is me.
That's all.
Chad, power wise, I haven't really done a lot.
It's been a bit, a bit slow.
I had other things happening.
But I was put on to
something by a friend of ours, a magna person.
And I've secured myself a second magna.
Is it your first one?
Well, for the purposes of
getting the manual gearbox out of it and putting it onto my sedan.
This is a, yeah, manual swap.
Yeah, I'm done with the automatics.
Yeah.
I'm done with dealing with, you know,
90 kilos of disappointment.
Yeah, 90 kilos of disappointment.
So yeah, I found one that was incredibly cheap.
A whole running and driving car.
So I just have to go and get it.
What was wrong with this car?
What's wrong with this car?
Yeah.
I'm not sure.
It's not a, it's not a, um,
a aspirin green wagon, is it?
Yes, it is.
You saw that one?
I did see it pop up.
It wasn't correct.
Yeah, so I think it's just got really rough on the outside, but
he sent me a video of him starting it, jump starting it.
He goes, he just needs a battery.
And, um, driving it up to like a hundred kilometers an hour on the road.
So I was like, well, I mean, that's, you know, that's good enough for me.
Maybe, maybe, all I need is a gearbox.
The other one.
What's that?
Maybe it's easier to swap your motor into that car.
I mean, the body is really rough on that aspirin green.
It's like, it looks like it's been left outside
all its life without being washed or cared for.
I didn't speak to the guy and he said, yeah,
it used to be my dad's and then it retired about 15 years ago,
but they've kept it, which is good.
But obviously, they've like started it and you know, kept it sort of driving and running.
So, you know, it's good for me.
Yeah, it was, uh,
it was half the price of buying another gearbox.
Yeah.
It was, that was the cheaper one.
So, you know, it's really, really debated myself to see if I should go with it.
But in the end, I thought, yeah, it's probably the best thing.
Well, absolutely.
To up and get a manual gearbox in it,
all the bits that I'm talking about, yeah, all the bits are there.
So, essentially, um, take it out, put it in.
Yeah.
And you can, you can do it step by step so you can,
you can watch what you're doing each step of the way.
So, you can, it's not much.
I mean, you're easy said and done,
but it is a, it's going to be a longer project and,
I mean, it's going to be easier than fitting another automatic gearbox.
Meaning one at least.
Yeah.
So, um, I just have to now just deal with the record that I got the auto automatic gearbox from
and see what, um, I can do with them.
Um, I'm struggling to find a person or a place that will scan the car,
uh, to see if there's some sort of a TCU error or because the car doesn't move,
it's really hard to like get it somewhere.
So, and I can't find a mobile mechanic that has the scanner that I need.
Um, it would all have scanners.
Well, yeah, but it's a very specific one.
It's pre-obd, it's this like old diagnostic thing and, uh,
that's the bottom drawer of so many mechanic's benches, you know,
untreated.
They don't even forgot they've got them.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And, you know, uh, yeah, if I can get my hands on one to figure out,
that'd be great, but just for the meantime, I'm,
yeah, I'm still trying to figure out part of it out.
It might be worth speaking to, like, a Mitsy Rekko or a Mitsy specialist, um,
just looking out for one.
Or speaking to the, to the players and say, hey,
can you send me one out because I've got no way of testing this gearbox,
and I'm running out of time to, otherwise the warranty's going to be out of, out of.
Yeah, yeah, essentially.
That was what they said initially, but I said, yeah, I'll, I'll try and figure something out.
So, yeah, I'll, I've got to, you know,
I'm going to get onto that one because it is,
it's coming up to the end of warranty period.
But, um, I said it was a dial.
The bag to place it was clearly dialed.
Uh, I did ring them for what I was looking for a gearbox.
What about, um, I will, you know, totally forgot about that, David.
I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what if they have anything.
I did, um, when I spoke to them, it sounded like they,
uh, sort of bought the business of someone else that
used to do Magnus off, but they don't really any more.
Um, but, um,
Andru's used them quite a bit, I think.
Um, yeah.
Okay.
So, he's made his own complaints through them, I think.
Oh, really?
Okay, interesting.
Yeah, all right.
Well, um, yeah, I'll give them a go tomorrow because I think anyone locally might help
one, they might be them.
Yeah.
So, yeah, uh, picking the other magnet up in a week and a half.
Uh, so, uh, where is it?
It's in Horsham.
Horsham, that's a little way out there.
Yeah, so I've got a, um, uh, Polgat has, uh,
very kindly offered to, uh, go up and grab it with a tow vehicle.
So we'll do that.
And, uh, yeah, it's probably going to be, it's going to be a new year.
Yeah, project issue project.
So, um,
do you think is they'd take up so little space, mate?
Jent day, you know?
Yeah.
No, I've got to find another, uh, the whole other space or a whole other cart.
Well, it's going to be a quick in and out and then
Pistachar, I forget to, to, yeah, essentially.
And I said, I told Polgat it could have any wagon parts.
And also you, David, um, if you and Andrew need any wagon parts.
Well, thanks, mate.
Anything and everything is all yours.
I know, just have to fight Polgat for it.
Sorry, what was that?
I nearly backed into your magna wagon when I was shuffling.
Jesus.
In our storage facility.
I sort of think, right?
I can, uh, don't eat that one.
I ate that one.
Yeah, no one.
Well, is it going to end conditioning?
People, if it does, you, you might be able to take it.
The paddle, the paddle, the, the condenser.
I mean, you have a different pump and everything,
but you can get it started on it, David.
You can do it.
Well, if it's got air conditioning, it's all yours.
So it's not a just not a terrible idea.
Not a terrible idea, David Prince.
Not a terrible idea at all.
Um, yeah, I don't know enough about the car.
I'll be honest.
I don't know a lot about it.
But, uh, well, if it, uh, it's a bit of a, uh,
it's, it would only be just like a child in the history of Mitsubishi Magnus
that I've been out here conditioning.
Well, there you go.
If it doesn't have it, uh, I think it's, uh, I don't think it's an executive.
Oh, don't joke me.
E, let me, uh,
say body, body color bumper bars.
Sorry, I'm just about to look at it.
He's one photo, and it was a bit hard to tell.
I could tell the head, one of the headlight covers was broken.
I could tell that.
Yeah.
I'll say it because the, uh, body is so like mounted and mounted.
It's hard to tell if it's body colored or faded.
That's really bad.
It's not great, but I'll let you know,
I'll be in touch.
Updates, uh, any other updates channels?
No, that's it.
Updates for me.
Very, very, very.
So, uh, updates with, with, with me,
I drove the Typhoon in the weekend, uh, you know,
getting that out and about.
It's, it's always a nice fun thing to drive around.
I then, I didn't hear anything from the MR2 mechanic who was looking at it
Yeah, I think you know, you pinged you down and tied you up,
and go, you watched this.
Yeah, I did, I did make them watch it.
And I made you watch the Big Steve.
Never really did.
Yeah, I haven't watched that.
That was, that was great movie.
Yeah, it was, it was good fun.
Yeah, I think the Honda Z deserves to be in, in a, in a, in a,
in a, as an A record, I think that's, yeah.
Fairly, fairly done.
Now, the next ones, probably one of the most iconic.
If not the most iconic Aussie car ever,
because it had worldwide acclaim,
I think you guys know what I'm doing about talking about.
It's the, the interceptor, the Mad Max interceptor from Mad Max.
So this is, it's probably the most,
it is, I think the most iconic Australian, like, known car
because it's, the movie was all over the world.
You know, everyone knows, oh, yeah, last of the V8s,
you know, like that's the, it is the,
it is the car for that, for that movie.
And it's, it's got a lot of, you know, a lot of, um,
notoriety and, and, you know, uh, people, people say,
oh, that, that's, you know, that, that's Mad Max's car.
So for me, this is like, this is, this has to be a top tier car.
It's, you know, it, it played such an important role.
It's the role that, I guess Mel Gibson really, really kind of made,
you know, made, made his name from in a, in a lot of ways.
So I think, um, I think it's a very, very iconic car.
What, what do you think, what do you voice it?
I'd give it a B straight up B straight up B.
Why added?
Yeah, Mad Max is, it's, it's a bit, it's about car chases,
but there's a lot of other vehicles other than just that one.
There is the history of how I'm going to go B.
Okay.
So David, you said you never see Mad Max.
I want to leave that in service in the discussion.
Uh, no, interestingly, I'd love.
Yes, sort of, I, I know the movie.
I know the, the, um, you know, the god, the general is just of it.
And the, I know quite a few of the iconic cars, of course.
Um, look, I know I think you have to go away because if you're talking Australian
movies with cars in them, that's, that's, that's the biggie, I think.
And that's the one, as you say, it has an international audience.
Um, those, those interceptor coups are in huge demanded America.
Big time.
Absolutely, they, they go nuts for them.
Um, really interesting.
Actually, it was one of my car talk, um, quiz questions.
There's a correlation between, um, the design of the interceptor.
Um, and Mercedes Benz, because the same man designed the seal, um,
coupes, the big seal coupes of, yeah, yeah, not really.
Peter Academy, yeah, who's a, I think he's a Melbourne guy.
Um, yeah, actually back in the 70s,
when the movie, late 70s, it was, I think, movie.
Yeah.
We can fingers that I had.
You could actually buy, um, he actually made a name for himself doing, um,
like panel van conversions and, and, and scoop front.
Oh, cool.
Trump's on, on Falcon, um, Falcon panel van's and stuff.
Um, yeah, I'm not sure which came first.
The, the fiberglass work on those, the design and the like of those.
Or Mad Max, but you can definitely see a combat, um,
similarity between those.
And then after that, he actually became a designer for Mercedes Benz and design
the seal coupes.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, that's a, that's a really cool connection.
Is that like the late 90s seal?
Yeah, with the funny C-pillar that goes now, um,
that's, that's a Peter Academy design.
Yeah, there you go.
Jim, I'm, if it's possible,
I might abstain from voting on this one.
I think I've got quite polarizing views on the car in the film,
so I might abstain, so I don't muck up the average.
Yeah, so you can, you can, no, this one is good.
This is what it's for.
It's an aided by that.
This is what, this is what, this is what it's about, Jim.
Okay, so, um, I, I, I failed to be impressed by a Falcon in drag, frankly.
Yeah.
I've, I've, I've seen it.
I've just gone, I do not understand the peel at all.
It just, if there was anything that could embody everything I find,
utterly done and boring in a car, I think it's that.
However, I can also see why people do quite enjoy it.
If that's sort of your thing, I think it's sort of a period
when that was what people were really into.
And, you know, as we've discussed already,
it's very, very big internationally.
And it's important to acknowledge that and all of that.
But for my point of view, I'd much rather stare at a white camera.
Are you quite frankly?
I'll traversal.
It is fairly, oh, I will give it to you, Jim.
It is very over the top.
Like it's, it's, it's quite a, um, I would explain it, uh,
ostentatious with that, would that be a, would that be a fair?
I'm not sure if you'd say ostentatious,
but I think it's, no, I don't want to describe it
because I know a lot of people are very fond of it
and that would be unfair.
Um, but I just, as far as a car really goes,
I just, it's never done anything for me at all.
Um, but I don't want to, um, dismiss the important
that has for a lot of people like has been discussed
the thing they'd be going to seize, you know,
if you go to a caravan, there's one there,
it always, you know, attracts the whole crowd of people around it.
Um, people spend a lot of time and money,
making sure it's accurate down to the, you know,
my new to detail.
Um, so would be incorrect to not highlight all of that,
but just, yeah.
And no appeal to me whatsoever.
Hmm, yeah, fair enough.
Yeah, um, you know, I, I saw one like a,
like a real kind of, you know, mock up,
if that makes sense, a real, a real mock up.
Um, and a, a car show once, and he turned on the supercharger
and, you know, press the button and it started,
you know, the belt started to drive.
It was cool.
Well, I was like, I think that's kind of,
it's ridiculous because like, that's not how they work.
But that's it.
Um, but it was, yeah, it was, it kind of,
it's like every time I see it back to the future,
you know, um, delorean.
Yeah.
It gave me that kind of, that kind of,
this is actually kind of cool.
Like, this is actually, yeah, I dig this.
So, uh, but I, but I see what I see what you mean, Jim,
like it is, yeah, I, I, I, I do get you.
What do we use, Scotty?
So, if you had, that was in the first one
and then you had a yellow one,
well, that was the second movie, wasn't it?
The yellow?
Uh, you know, there was a yellow cop car coming in the well.
It's been a long time since I was 20.
When you drove it down the side, didn't it?
Yeah, correct.
Yeah.
Yes.
I remember, um, yeah, I was,
so my opinion is, I never really like the shapes of XA's,
B's and C's, they just look,
well, no, they don't look right, especially because they're always on
those little skinny wheels and these big puff guards
of these little, it just doesn't look right.
It's just too, too big and, like, I can see where
how they'll, how they'll got their inspiration for the Jolion.
Yeah, exactly.
I think in terms of real love, so I think the way you're looking
for Scutty is bloated.
Yeah, very much.
So yeah, considering what they were making beforehand,
but I guess it was just going with the shape.
I mean, Mustang did the same thing.
So going the shape of the decades.
And the person that I once knew that absolutely obsessed
and loved the movie, I'd detest this person.
So it just reminds me of him and I'm like,
oh, my goodness, it just turns me off.
But when I block all that kind of stuff out and think about
what it actually is, it's, it is iconic
and it's not just for Australia, it's international.
It would have been great to see in the latest Mad Max movies
that they made if it kind of just made a little appearance
or something, you know, just for the die-hard fans out there.
How last I fall in the TV5, we just got...
Yeah, yeah, just something.
Just for something for people to go, oh, my goodness, look.
But yeah, I'd probably have to put it right up there.
It'd be plus to A, just because it's so recognisable.
I think it's recognisable in a way that you wouldn't go,
it's a Ford, it's recognisable in a way that it's the Interceptor.
The Interceptor, yeah.
Yeah, I'd agree with you in that point, 100% Scotty.
Chad, this car is pretty special to me,
because I remember growing up in Turkey
and watching the movie on VHS.
And it was a rare thing to have such a weird movie,
but for some reason my dad had a copy of it,
and he's not really a car person.
It would have blown you away.
Yeah, it was incredible with the first movie.
It was a bootleg copy.
No, it wasn't bootleg.
Well, it was VHS, but it could be bootleg, I don't know.
It looked like a wheelchair.
It was called Crazy Matthew, instead of Mad Max.
That movie and the car left a pretty deep impression
when I was a kid, and then when I obviously moved to Australia
and then I started going to uni.
I went to uni in the city,
and I used to go and hang out at the Acme a lot,
in the city.
Look at the half car there.
Look at the full car.
Yeah, I think the full car there, yeah.
Well, they used to.
I don't know if they still do or not,
but when I was in uni, I used to go there,
and the first time I ever went to the Acme,
I saw that kind of person.
It's a mock-up replica,
but it blew me away,
because I'd never ever seen even like a replica car before,
even like in a car show or anything like that,
and then I saw that there.
That would have blown you away.
I used to, it blew me away,
and then I used to, sometimes I used to just go to the Acme,
and just to stare at the car, because it was just so cool,
and yeah, no, there's that car's really,
it's, again, like what Scotty said,
it's not really a falcon in my mind,
it's just the car, it's the car from the movie.
It's the interceptor.
It's the interceptor, it's from the movie,
and it's...
Well, I'm pretty sure Mr. Caterpain would be very happy
with that summation on the track.
I don't want to be, yeah.
Interpreter, you know, there were fiberglass,
wheel arch extensions,
and the whole design was to change the look of the car,
the whole thing, so...
And yeah, I think,
when I see an early X-series falcon,
it doesn't remind me of Mad Max,
but when I see,
well obviously, when you see that car,
that when I think of Mad Max,
I think of the car.
Yeah, so that's...
I think that's an A-plus car for me.
Yeah, A-plus car for me.
So you've got A-plus for you.
Scotty, you said B-plus to A.
Edwin said B.
David said A.
Jim didn't want to be on the scale,
but you're more than welcome to put it in Jim.
Well, I'll be confusing,
despite what I've said,
because of its historical significance,
and the fact that it's had an impact on so many people's
times, it would be silly not to give it an A, I think.
Yeah, I think an A is...
Yeah, I think an A-sphere.
I think an A-sphere.
So I mean, how you don't see it at past shows as much,
but you'll see it at like Ozconicons.
Yeah, it's wild.
I've always seen them at Ozconicons.
Yeah, they're always there.
There's that one there,
and the yellow cop car one there.
And the full drive from Wolf Creek.
Oh, yeah.
He's always there, too.
Oh, really?
That's cool.
Yeah, and the actor that played him, he's always there, too.
It's surprising.
I mean, yeah, I guess a lot of people would
cause play mad, mad, mad stuff, right?
Yeah, they'd have to have to.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that's cool.
My last Ozzy film for the evening before we get to the car quiz
is a movie called Running on Empty.
Is there any of you guys seen Running on Empty?
No, I don't think I have.
No, I don't think I have.
So...
Great song by Jackson Brown.
Is it...
Oh, you're not empty, is it?
An iconic Australian movie.
I remember watching it as a kid.
So I watched it as a kid with my uncles
who were all mechanics
and could recite every line to the movie.
You probably would have heard
someone who said,
our green, green is nice.
That is, that's probably the most famous line from the movie.
The premise goes,
the...
This...
It's a bit of a...
It's not the best written story,
but basically a guy loses a straight race
and basically says,
oh, no, I want another shot.
And every time he goes to race the other guy,
he gets something happens to his car,
like they'll try sabotage him.
Anyway, the car that he has is a GT-H0 Phase 3,
which is a very, very, very iconic Australian car.
Probably one of the most racing pedigree, etc.
It is a, yeah, it's a very iconic car.
And in the movie,
it gets rolled,
it gets set on fire.
It has quite a hard life.
And I know I won't spoil the recipe.
It's definitely worth a watch.
But he races a guy in the desert
when they're trying to save up some money
so they go, they just try to find people to race.
And he's got a 57 Chev
with a massive blower on it.
It's pretty sick.
But he's, the guy that he's racing is blind.
And that's tricky.
Yeah, it's just a little bit tricky.
So he can only drive on the outback in the middle of nowhere,
just a straight,
kind of sort of empty, empty place.
But he's like a hearing mechanical whiz.
So when he pulls up next to him, he's like,
oh, you've got a Phase 3.
And he's like, oh, yeah.
And he's like, what color is it?
And the main guy goes, it's green,
even though it was red.
He's like, ah, green.
Green is nice.
And that's where that quote comes from.
Green is nice, he says.
So it's an iconic Australian movie
that he runs nitrous in it at one point.
Just try to get his quarter-multum down and stuff.
It's real.
It's actually in early 80s.
Oh, geez.
I've got to look up when the running on empty came out.
I want to fact check that.
But it's, it's quite an iconic movie
like in the Australian landscape.
So I'm going to run it on empty.
82.
I've just heard it.
One of the stars was Debra Conway.
Yep.
She is.
Yeah.
Who?
Much better known for her singing.
Much better known for her singing, yes.
So yeah, 1982.
Debra Conway, yeah, Max Conn, he's the,
he's the blind guy in it.
Few interesting, interesting editions and stuff.
There's some cool cars in this film.
There's some great cars in this film, yeah.
So Debra Conway is the girlfriend
in the movie.
But yeah, really cool cars in the film.
You know, there's chargers, there's
Toronto.
It's iconic like old Australian, you know,
Australian cars.
And so it's pretty much a street racing film.
So yeah, for me, that car is a very iconic car.
For the film.
It's, you know, he spends 90% of the film driving that car.
And with all the shenanigans happening to it.
And I don't know if it was a real GT H.O.
Face 3 that they destroyed,
which would have cost them an arm and a leave.
Even back then, they went a cheap car.
But it was, yeah, it was, you know,
it's quite iconic.
And for me, that's an A car all day because of,
because of that movie.
But it's a bit hard to kind of judge this one
if no one else has seen the movie.
So I think we might give him, we might skip that one if that's if that's the case.
And I put, I put, I'm running an empty GT H.O.
Is it to watch that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, holiday, holiday home work.
Yeah, I've got another little short, short movie to watch.
And I'm pretty sure it's all on YouTube now that you can watch.
And I got a, the poster of it.
Oh, what is that?
It's called The Chases On.
Jesus, that's sick.
That's a bit of you, man.
That's a bit of me.
I got this and the poster and they had the car and that at a,
was that an auto show I went with my uncle going way back.
This is when that, that GT there pretty much just came out.
They had it running on a bit of nitrous and it made
about 300 kilowatts at the wheels.
Well, yeah, because I had the dyno and everything there too.
Yes, I had that poster.
They were selling the DVDs.
But now I'm pretty sure when I had a look,
the movie is out there on, on YouTube.
So I'll double check it and I'll link it to you.
It's short.
It's just like a little chase scene, like a robbery
and they're just chasing and driving around in that.
And the, yeah, sick.
The old GT and a HSVGTS.
Yeah, cool.
Yeah, it became to watch that.
That'd be awesome.
Double check.
Just on other obscure Australian movies focused around cars.
In 1974, there was a movie made by Peter Weir.
It was his, his directorial debut,
called The Cars That Eight Paris.
I won't, I won't, it's very hard to describe.
Google.
Yeah, it's an odd film.
I've seen it.
It's almost a bit scary.
It terrified me, it's a kid, it's terrified me.
The synopsis he reads,
a small town in Australia makes its living by causing car accidents
and taking the valuables from the ruins.
All is not well when the youth of the town are upset
with their status in society.
Yeah, and the Volkswagen in that has to be seen to believe
it was at the show one year, I think, in the 70s
when I was at the show with my parents.
I'd seen a bit of the movie.
I didn't make it all the way through back then,
but you'd get a camera.
Really lame, I've got to say.
But yeah, it was pretty out there.
I thought it was like a car that ate a girl called Paris.
I thought that was what the movie was.
Small town is named Paris, the cars that ate Paris.
Okay, there you go.
So, I think we'll leave it at that for tonight,
gentlemen, for the Foyalc Foyalcalis,
we'll have to come back and revisit this.
But Scotty has kindly
we'll, we'll, I'll start again.
Scotty has kindly offered to do the quiz for this evening.
So Scotty, you've got a fair few plays in the quiz game today.
It's awesome.
Yeah, you can start whenever you're ready.
Thank questions.
I'll start in five minutes.
Done.
It was time to swap out.
Ready, set, go.
All right.
Yes, there is some bonus questions.
There's a question in there that's, I guess,
valued of up to 10 points, if you're...
It is, I think it is.
Super gluey, super gluey.
And it kind of connects well with the theme
because it's got to do with movie cars.
Yeah.
And I even kind of stole Matt's idea
and got a couple kind of brochure.
brochure ones in there that are kind of looked up.
Not as good as, not as good as Maddie, brochure ones.
These ones are kind of just found,
found online.
And Scotty.
We'll talk it's funny.
Yeah, so I thought, you know what?
Maddie won't mind if I kind of steal his idea.
I will absolutely will not.
Because he's always on the other side of it.
So he never gets to, never gets to play.
All right, let's kick straight off.
There's some nice easy questions to begin with.
There we go.
This is some tricky ones after that.
Question number one.
Who won the F1 World Champion?
Matthew.
I think Matthew.
That would be Mr. Lando Norris.
It was Lando Norris.
Or could have been so close.
Oh, it was the question.
They just bumped him out.
You know, it could have been Max Verstappen back in the area.
But what was the rest of that question?
What was...
Oh, yes.
It was who won the F1 World Champions trophy?
In this year.
Yeah, yeah.
Just won it on the weekend.
No, I can't.
It was a bit of a boring race to be honest.
Yeah, it was.
It wasn't.
No, the spoiling.
Nothing.
The happened.
I'm glad I fell asleep.
Next year might be better.
Cars are different.
Changing it up.
So we'll wait and see.
No tariffs.
Fingers crossed on that one.
All right.
Question number two, VW are saying goodbye
to which large SUV model?
David.
David.
I'll hopefully the twirig.
Is you correct?
Yeah.
Saying goodbye to it.
Bye bye.
Oh, the bag.
Bruno's question.
What's the final version called?
Special model.
And they've named it.
Special tour egg.
And they've named it.
David.
Is it the Vultzburg edition?
Yeah, it is.
Nice.
I was going to say they called it.
Vultzburg with pretty much every.
Pretty much.
No idea.
That's what I was just to guess.
Yeah, it's good.
Vultzburg edition convertible ones.
I think in Europe or something else reading,
it's just called the final edition,
but for Australia.
And that is the Wolfsburg edition.
So they're getting rid of the twirig worldwide.
Just to stop up.
Yeah, that's final edition.
So the final edition that we get
is Wolfsburg badging on there.
I was going to say, should we call the
the black rims,
black rims,
better speakers,
and black roof rack.
And a badge on the back.
What happened to people around Australia
saying, oh, yeah, we better rush out
and buy the final edition of Volkswagen twirig.
Not many of them.
Like to meet them and just see and go, why?
If they made cool ones, like the R50 they did back in the year,
that was cool.
It's like a V10 twin turbo diesel.
That's, anyway.
Yeah, yeah.
And yeah, I thought they would have called it the
masochistic sort of charm in something like that, can't you?
Yeah, it's like it's, you know,
you'd never want to own it.
I know a guy that owned one for years.
Yeah, well, and he absolutely adored it.
But he's like, he's like,
I, there is any sold, he's like,
I knew something was going to break.
And I'd never be able to afford to fix it.
Yeah, it's like, so I'll get your house.
Literally, yeah.
Sorry, so he sold it, but he's like, he drove it to all the room
and everything. Never had an issue with it.
So it was a lucky man.
It's a very lucky man.
It's a V10, yeah.
Yeah, I drove on when they were new.
I never driven a car with so much torque.
torque, yeah, he's like, you're just ridiculous.
So like, over a thousand, you make something from factories.
Insane nuts.
Like, it just pulls your face off the amount of torque that they have.
I thought they were going to call it the final edition,
the engine light edition because that's quite, quite, quite,
quite standard for the orange light edition.
All right, question number three.
News just came out from Honda.
It's Honda commits to what?
For decades to come.
Matthew.
Matthew.
Combustion engines?
Yeah, yeah, petrol engines.
So for decades to come,
they're committed to keep making them and producing them.
So that's good news.
Well, thank you, Honda.
What do you say?
At least they're open about it.
I think a lot of other men are hoping to make that announcement.
Did you see the little Honda convertible in the news?
The new S600 or something?
S800?
No.
News.
What, what, what?
No, I mean, just like online, there was an auto show or something,
and they had the new little Honda convertible.
I think it was AI, Ed.
Oh, was it?
No, no, no, Ed, you got caught up in it.
Well, fantastic.
It did, it did.
And I got shared on a group.
I mean, and I said, oh, thank goodness,
Honda are doing good things.
I think you'll see the pictures somewhere.
Touch.
Hey, I got him.
Yeah, I got him.
It says that the Honda S800 EV prototype
pays homage to Honda's thing.
So they did have a prototype that had similar traits,
but it was a hard top prototype,
but had that sort of funny long nose on it.
It's got crowds standing around the car.
They're amazing, aren't they?
Yeah.
So that's what I'm talking about.
Is that a little fantastic?
I can't trust anything on the internet anymore.
Is that a little fake?
Well, yeah, Honda Touch is AI.
It's AI generators.
Well, Honda need to pay attention to Honda Touch
and build the car.
Oh, I know.
I mean, it's really great.
That car is fantastic.
Yeah, I agree.
You need to say that it's warm.
That does look cool.
Oh, well, I just showed me.
It clearly says AI.
I'm sorry.
Oh, so, but also in the,
if you're on the Instagram post at the top,
I know she switches between the track and AI.
And is the track, is a track recast?
You're never going to give you up?
Is that what it says?
Like a troll?
Like, oh, no, Eggman,
never going to lose you.
Oh, OK, yeah.
If it makes you feel any better, Edward,
I have had a number of people,
well-known clever people in the automotive industry,
really sent me other Honda Touch images saying
this looks amazing, you know?
Any word for Australia?
No.
I mean,
all Honda need to do is just make that stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Completely agree.
I was so, I was so bored.
I've just written a message to the group
that sent it to me.
And there obviously sucked in as well.
As they said, oh, I love this.
Oh, Honda, yeah, great.
I just said that's all AI, that Honda,
all fake.
I'm so depressed.
Fake news, fake news.
Oh, sorry.
That sucks.
Question number four.
So IMDB have listed the top 50 movies about cars.
Woo.
So we're not going to do the whole 50.
What I want is there's going to be one point
for everyone listed in the top 10.
Once you get one wrong, though,
it moves to the next person.
I can't miss you.
God.
Can I hurt David just in piped in first?
Yep.
The love bug.
That's what I was going to say.
Herb.
No, no, no, no.
You're all really sad.
That's not what they talk about.
Not in the top 10.
Not in their top 10.
No, no, no, not what they talk about for them.
No, no, no, no, no.
This is wrong.
Man.
I want to say bullet.
Yes, yes, that's in there.
Bullet, yep.
The original Fast and Furious.
No.
Oh, okay.
That's all set out of the top 10.
Just out of the top 10.
Chad.
Chad.
Too fast too, Furious.
Yes.
You're kidding.
There's got to be one of them in their shorts.
There's 10 of the bloody things.
Yeah.
No, no, no, no.
Ed, you know that cartoon thing cars the movie.
Oh, can we jump in again?
Or we'll let everyone go through it.
Let everyone go.
You jump in again.
Yeah, definitely.
Yep, Jim.
With this list, is this based on the movie's made
or based on votes from what people prefer?
So it's made up of kind of ratings
with people's opinions and reviews.
And only of car movies or movies
that have cars in them.
So it says it says I've kept it open
just just in case.
It says top 50 movies about cars.
Okay.
I'm not going to throw any guess.
Four versus Ferrari.
Yep.
Matthew.
Yeah, I'm there.
Yes, Matthew.
Cannonball run.
Cannonball run.
Yeah.
Cool.
Yeah.
Yep.
Smoky in the bed.
No.
Oh, okay.
Just out of the top 10.
That one.
David.
Very spuelers day off.
No.
Oh, good guess.
That's a great film about cars.
Chad.
Yes.
Basket and hutch.
No.
Oh, okay.
This list is really trying me off.
Yeah, I don't feel like that.
So it doesn't have all time, though, isn't it?
Okay.
So Jim and Ed can keep it in.
I got nothing.
I'm really sort of just blanking out right now.
I don't know.
It's some, I don't know how many times
they're made this word in the title.
It's a mad mad mad mad world.
What's on me?
Hmm.
Nope.
I'm part of it.
David.
David again.
Yep.
David?
Well, I Christine.
Huh?
Yes.
No.
Oh, geez.
So where did you get this list?
It is in there, but it comes in at some 11 for them.
Well, just out.
That's crazy.
Wow.
Okay.
Sorry.
No, at the moment, we've only got two.
Three.
All right.
Let's go to the next question.
Chad?
You know, there's some really well-known ones
that you haven't touched on.
There's a couple in there that I'm like, what the hell?
But I mean, there's still some good points
that could be made.
So everyone will go, this will be the last, go around, I think.
And then, yeah, we'll see how we go.
Okay.
So Chad, Chad.
Back to the future.
What?
That's not fair.
This is rubbish.
What's the question?
Go to the next question right now.
This is...
I've got one.
I've got one.
Where was he?
What do you got?
I've got one in 60 seconds.
Yes.
Yeah, that's a good one, Jim.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Jim, do you want to see your guess again?
Floor is yours.
You get another guess.
Yeah, that's the last time I get a point tonight.
So what's another guess I'm going to go with?
Oh, I don't know.
Days of thunder or something.
Days of thunder.
Do you believe it?
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, I think.
Mm-hmm.
That is correct.
Yes.
Cole Trickle.
Yes.
You got another point.
That's another point.
Oh, I got a point.
Get an answer.
Okay.
So clearly this list is American, that helps.
I mean, what is an American really?
It was an old American.
Yeah.
Oh.
I've got one.
I'm going to...
Oh, I've got one too.
The other one I was going to do...
Oh.
I've got one.
I've got one.
It's called.
I know.
I'm not thinking about the movie.
It's called, sorry.
Yeah, it's you.
Yes, me.
You?
Do you tell in Jop?

question
I think there's been one, we'll guess four of them, I think there's five, I think we've
guessed five.
Okay.
Give us the others.
The other one I was going to guess now that's called is that, so horror movie where the
guy is being chased by the truck.
The Abdul.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No.
It's a truck film, Jim, in the truck list.
Oh, really?
Specific.
It's in the truck list.
I mean, it's trucks.
It's trucks.
Well, speed is in there.
That's a case.
Bill.
It's a bill.
He a car in it.
It's up the bus.
It's up the bus.
It's up the bus.
Ronan was the other one.
Ronan's a good friend.
Yeah.
Ronan's a good friend.
Yeah.
Ronan's a good friend.
So Ronan, vanishing point.
Okay.
Yeah.
If anyone's seen that one, that's a pretty cool, pretty cool car movie.
That one.
That's proof, which is like, hmm, I'm kind of, yeah, I kind of get it, but I wouldn't
say there's too much car having to drive a car for ages because Quentin Tarantino loves
dialogue and there's a lot of dialogue.
And there's a couple.
You see the windscreen and the steering up a little kind of cool stuff in there, but I wouldn't
say it's, it's really deep or anything in there.
And then we're going to two lane black top.
Like top?
Yeah, forget about that movie.
Yeah.
That doesn't make sense.
Rubbish, never seen it.
And to top it off National Lampoon's Vacation.
Oh.
Oh.
That beat out like all these other car movies.
That beat us.
Yeah.
That beat it.
What the hell?
I think it's because of, I think it's because of the wagon.
Yeah.
The family truck stuff.
I mean, it's pretty blue sports car.
It's crazy.
That one.
Yeah.
And also being, being an IMD nature, it's looking at movies, it's looking at cars.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
People think of it as like a good movie.
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I agree.
It's car.
We're going to do the family truck stuff one day in this, in the least we did earlier.
Yeah.
I hate it now.
Yeah.
I've never heard of from 74 called Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.
No.
No.
I never heard of that.
No.
That's another one in there.
Fast and the Furious came in at number 12.
Hmm.
Lovebug 15.
Yeah.
You see it?
Right.
It was just there.
Yeah.
Joule was 18.
Sorry.
So yeah.
You know, they're in there, but they just weren't in that top 10.
Love the beast.
It's 25.
Yeah.
I love the beast.
Yeah.
So it's in there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Should be.
Should be up there a lot further anyway.
What do they say for the top 100 triple J top 100?
Should be higher.
Should be higher.
Should be higher.
Everybody's just like just convinced that should be higher.
What's number 50?
Scotty.
Yeah.
Good question.
Let me scroll away to the bottom.
The French connection.
Hmm.
Absolutely.
French connection.
I see it's a bonus question.
Hmm.
Let me just open it back up again.
Oh, yeah.
Bones question.
Which one came in at number one?
It wants to pipe in and go first.
Chad.
Mr. Chad.
National lampoon.
No.
Yeah.
I would have died.
I would have I would have quit this podcast.
There was number 10.
Oh, crossed myself out and say go on in 60 seconds.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm sorry.
I don't know.
I just found myself out.
And say go on in 60 seconds.
Oh, that was number three.
I think.
Hmm.
Did someone went.
It was number three.
That one.
Did someone mention it in the responses or.
Yes.
Because we got five and they were better.
Okay.
I can't think what the other ones were.
Is I put the beta paper in the beta.
The beta discussed.
Did it.
Yeah.
Go on to 60 seconds.
C.C. Seconds already was mentioned and I said that was number three. No, there are
sorry. I'm sorry. Jim. Sorry, Jim. Ronin number one. Nope. Was it Ronin? That was number
one. Cannonball run. Nope. We get the number one. But okay. Didn't get the number
one. It was bullet. Bullet. Oh, yeah. That doesn't make sense. The movie is very
hot. Yeah. It's not a great movie. But the car chase is horrible. Really? Car chase
should have gone longer. It doesn't go long enough. I would agree. Yeah. I wouldn't
put it as number one myself, especially since it's kind of looking at movies as
well. So they've been a great movie. It's pretty average. Yeah. Goes on forever. I would
agree. Anyway, let us move on. Question number six. What year was the first
speeding ticket issued in the United States? I want to say, can we do closest to it?
Yeah, we certainly can. 1916. 1916. Jim. Jim. Sorry, Jim. 1905. Ed. Mr. Ed.
1921. 1921. Charlie and David, yet to. Yes. I'll do an 1899. 1999. And I'll do 1908.
Hey. So Jim was 1905 myself. 1906. 1921. Chad 1899 and David on 1908. Mr. Chad gets
it was 1902. Wow. Hey, yeah. Just scraped in for that one. All right. Question number
seven. 1992 was the last time we would see two of a charge touring cars as they were
banned. What part and model one bath first in 1993? Matthew. Jason, 93. That would have
been VN Group A. No, David. I'm going to give it to Chad because he was very, very close
and then we can go to David next. Sorry. I think I misunderstood the question. You're
saying 92 was the last year turbocharged cars were allowed allowed? Yeah. So don't you
think about any of those skylines or searers or anything like that? They're done,
and dusted. That's a 93 is what you're asking. Yes. So who won the bath first one thousand
in 93? Well, I'm guessing it was a e-serious Falcon, EAEB. No, Mr. David. No, I shut myself
on the foot. I had the e-wrong. I thought it was the skyline. It's in your asking
a question. Yeah, it was just just after. So the skyline won in 91 and 92. Yeah.
Jim. Jim. Was it a VP, Crepe SS driven by Larry Perkins? Yes. Well done. You get the bonus
question as well because that was a bonus question. It was Larry Perkins, yeah. Well done,
champion. Well, can I just say Larry Perkins underrated hero in Australian motorsport?
Yep. Also had a bit of a thing for winning in old cars. You did? And you would build his
own engines too. He was actually, he's a very smart man. That's some, yeah, he cut the
bonus question. Well done. That's like somehow you read my mind. Question number eight was
sticking with the Bathurst theme here. What car won the 1997 Bathurst 1000? Matthew. Matthew?
That would have been EF Falcon? No. Damn, so long. I've chose this year for a good reason
and you'll probably find out. Was that German just piped in? No, it was Jim. Sorry. Oh, okay.
I think again, it was Larry Perkins because it wasn't that year that Glen and Satan had
that engine issue at the end. Oh, no, sorry. I thought that was like later. That was like
the last year that they ran the ELs. I remember seeing him just like a broken man on the
side of the road. David was was it a VT Commodore? No, it wasn't your Falcon or Commodore's.
Okay. Oh, no, yeah. This is the year they had the issue where they ran two Bathurst, right?
It's just the one that they did like the European touring cars and then they did the Australian
touring cars. Is that the year that we're talking about, Scotty? I'm 100% sure. I was just going
off a list of all kind of Bathurst winners with the cars and I know there was someone that
did win but they got disqualified because one of the drivers was in the car for too long,
a bit time wise. So it went to this, this other vehicle. He had bunting and Chad. No idea. I'm
not a Bathurst guy. I don't know. He'll be honest. And I have a second guest, please. Yeah.
Go for it. Is it a Volvo S40? Wasn't the Volvo but the Volvo did win around, I think it
may be a year or two earlier or later. What's the Volvo? Yes. Was it the Alfa Romeo? No, okay.
I'm out. Was it unless anyone else wanted to chime in? No. No. It was the BMW 320i.
Oh, right. Yeah. It's driven for BMW Motorsport Australia. There you go.
E-Truti 6. It's in regions driving. I'm not quite sure. I would probably, I don't think I've
got that page opened up anymore. It's not a bonus question so I didn't keep it opened.
So I closed it off. I was just going through it all and I was going, okay, so later on, yeah.
But yeah, the Volvo was still going as well which was pretty cool back in the good old days.
All right. We got two more questions. Sorry. Just interrupt. Larry Perkins did win
Bethers in 1997. Oh, okay. I'll be careful. Yes. I just googled the same thing.
Jim. Controversial. It had a gun. Where is he? Where is he? Again, there were those two.
So 1997 AMP Bethers to 1000 was won by Brothers Jeff Brabham and David Brabham driving it through
20i. But Larry Perkins and Russell Engel conquered the mountain in 1997. Starting from last
as well. Well, that's impressive. Okay. I mean, there's a two, the two events, maybe the 2000.
Interesting. Well, my apologies. I just kind of had a look and I saw the list and I just saw
that. Jumping to it is deep. Oh, good. Pretty bad. I'm Scott. If I'm honest tonight.
Just because they didn't get the question. That's why he's the one. I haven't got many at all tonight.
All right. Last two. Jumping into the first brochure question. Is there any of you bunting?
I don't know.
Refreshed design. Unmatched power to weight ratio and 18 inch alloy wheels. The new blank,
blank, blank makes every corner a masterpiece. With a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine and a top speed
of 230 kilometers an hour, expect an adrenaline-fueled symphony. That's quite quick.
Top speed of 230 kilometers an hour. 1.6 turbo. Powered ten inch wheels. So powered by a new
generation 1.6 litre turbo smart stream flat power. Mathieu. Ten inch wheels.
Mathieu. I'm going to say, is that the I-20n? Yeah, it is. The I-20n. The 2025 I-20n.
I can go so fast. Yeah, pretty scary. Something that's more pushing out up to 233 kilometers an hour.
All righty. My next one. I'm sure how you go with this one. Or of a supercar. Let me scroll down
because it's a PDF. It's since its debut in 1957, the blank has continually evolved as a
grand touring car that has consistently delivered swoop. Would I say super, superlative driving performance
and superlative? Superlative. Okay, new word for me. Thank you very much. And you're a teacher.
Us, you know, right? We still learn. We still learn every single day. Absolutely. You've done
superlative work on that test. Yeah, I haven't used that word before. I've seen it, but I've never
actually had to say it. Yeah. So that's cool. Yes, superlative driving performance. The blank,
the epitome of blank has been tested to its limits on the legendary Nürburgring circuit,
following an unrelenting process of development and resulting in the car being dubbed by car,
magazine, has the best all-round supercar in the world. Lessons learned in the development of
the blank are today manifesting in the new, yes. No, it's not. No, that didn't come out in 1957.
I thought, yeah, it wasn't superlative in 1967, couldn't you? 65, I think.
It is now, like, they crap on a bit in this and kind of I'll let you stay in because now they
kind of start to talk a bit more about the actual car. So you're not out, you're still in
because it does crap on a bit, but now we get into it. So, so, lessons learned in the development
of the blank are today manifesting in the new, will go blank turbo from the straight six,
206 kilowatt turbocharged engine to the multilink suspension, and Matthew provides Matthew.
Straight six multilink turbocharged that would be skyline related. So I'm going to say it's an
eastern skyline. Yeah, okay, I'll give it to you. It is, do you want to take a crack at what model?
So, home to the nerve agreeing, I know they did a crap ton of work with the 33th nerve agreeing,
it beat the record numerous times, but then again, this could be 34 by the automotive
wank speak that has been used. So, the things that I left out was the Nissan Super Highcast.
Highcast, yeah, and a turbo highcast. I'll say 34 GTR just to be on the, on the safe side,
but I think it's a 33. So you're saying it's a 34 GTR? Yeah. Incorrect.
Oh, it's probably going to help you a bit more when I say blanks purposeful, well,
not skyline. Now, personal design is equal only by its aggressive soul. It's engine the 2.5
leader dock 24 valve six cylinder turbocharged engine in the
blank turbo produces 206 kilowatts and power in excess of 300 new meters of torque.
363 new meters of torque in the manual and 333 in the automatic.
In general, it's not a GTR. Oh, Chad, is it just the GT ST? 33 GT ST? No.
Oh, no, I'm thoroughly confused. And you'll have an order through it,
so it's made because I was thinking 32, but it's not 32. I think you own one of these, Scotty.
Yeah, yeah, I did. I know what it is. I did. Oh, damn it, I know.
We're missing. We're missing one. It comes on 18 inch rims.
That means it's a 34. Yes. But it's a 34 watt, David. 34 GT GT?
Yes. Got it. There we go. Oh, it's a 34 GTT. So what it does in this brochure,
they just talk about the lineage of where it first came from. So they crap on about the GTR.
And then it's got that GTR vibe put into the GTT.
Kind of what they're trying to get across. And they've got these awesome pictures of the engine
bay and words like primed fraction and taking it to the limits. So yeah, it's pretty cool.
This brochure was actually from Nissan New Zealand. Oh, cool. Yeah.
That's all from NissanSkyline.co.nz. Oh, boy. Awesome. That's the brochure that they got.
Squallcheck. Edward Bunting quite literally played the role of being in his bed in the sleep
for the whole thing. He was on zero. Chad on one. David on three. Jim on four. And myself on six.
So good job, gentlemen.
Edmunds game. No, it's the end of the quiz.
Hey, I would have got the one that's worth 10 points. But that was the movie question.
The movie was 10.
It was it was banking on that 10 pointer.
Yeah. What card is Ed? Just name one of them. And that's 10 points.
And it's five. Oh, there you go. He's gone to Matt.
It wasn't quick enough. I give up. All right.
I got to catch you later. Thank you, Scotty. Thank you, Ed. We'll talk to you later.
Thanks for the quiz. That was a really good quiz.
Great question. The the skyline, the GT T. I was like, oh, it has to be a 2.5.
Yeah. That's why I double checked when you said, okay, did you say GTR?
Because I hadn't gotten to the engine size yet.
And I mentioned like, because they crap on a bit about the lineage.
The GTR. And obviously they did a lot of testing on the Nürburgring and stuff with it.
But they're just saying how it trickled down to this car.
I was thinking GTR the whole time. And then when you started saying turbo, I'm like,
they're really threw me off when there was turbo in the name of the car.
Yeah, not twin turbo.
Yeah. Well done. And then at one point, I actually thought you were talking about the GTS 4.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's really me off too.
Fantastic engine in the R34. That one. The RB25 NIO.
The 25 NIO. Yeah. Brilliant.
People think they're more of a trunel like a trunel engine than the 26, which is
quite interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Get more power and stuff out of that one for a bit
cheaper for a bit cheaper and they're a bit and yeah, they're quite strong. Yeah.
David Prince, Words of Wisdom. I think that's a podcast. So we'll start
be wrapping up with David's Words of Wisdom.
David's Words of Wisdom. Everything has its beauty met you, but not everyone sees it.
Yeah. I see. Well, I see all your beauty, David Prince there.
Oh. Okay. Scotty Dove. He's got it for the week.
So I had the year seven orientation today, mentioned before, and there was a young boy
there that's into golf, that he was telling me about it. There's the first thing he's
pretty much said. He goes, oh, do you play golf, sir? And it's a matter of fact I do.
Yeah. Yeah. I was like, you know, what I do. And it was just good to see how excited he was,
you know, for such a young generation that's majority that I see is just heavily into
AFL football or soccer and cricket and stuff like that, but just to see how enthusiastic he was
and how everyone didn't make fun of him going to golf, you know, that's a whole person sport.
You know, it was just really genuine and he was wrapped because he finally got a,
he got a handicap now too. So you're going to play like some tournaments and things like that.
So it was just really cool. Yeah. Not really a tip is just something I just wanted to share.
Keeping good with him. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah.
It was really nice. Well, he's really nice. The Australian Open, you know, I thank you,
thank you to to Mr. Scottie Toby. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Give me some of your prize money now. You can take it. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that'll be all right.
I was going to say he could be your catty, but I don't know if that's a weird thing.
Charge deliveries to the virtual place near you. Jim, we've given you, well over the last few weeks,
you've had a few different segments that have come in and out. The last one we had was Jim's car care,
wasn't it? Jim's car care car. Car taking. Car taking. Yeah. So, yes. So if you want anyone to
to rack up to rack up case in your car. Yeah. Well, yeah, why is your ball a bit your car's just
sitting idle and you'd like someone to give it a bit of exercise, then let me know. Yeah,
walking. Yeah, walking. Yeah, walking. So it's like he goes to the house and picks up their golden
retriever and takes it for a walk. Just make sure you have a long enough leash. Yeah. Well,
