handbrake
A handbrake is the lever you pull in the middle of a car to keep it from rolling when it's parked. It’s different from the regular brakes you use while driving.
A handbrake, also called a parking brake, is a secondary braking system that locks the wheels to keep a vehicle stationary when parked.
