for a radio show. Hopefully you guys are enjoying your
things given weekend and you guys ate a lot of bird. Uh.
It's one of those great holidays where usually if you're working for a pretty cool company, you have Black Friday off, so you have Thursday and Friday off. If not, sorry
about your luck.
Speaker 3: You're not really missing anything right right, serious, no sales, so.
Speaker 2: We're just talking about it is that time of year where as a car guy, I'm usually excited because Black Friday sales start to happen and then I can start making my Christmas list for all the things that i want, uh car related for Christmas. So I've been going through
like all the sales ads and looking and stuff, and there's nothing like I'm overly excited about on sale this year for cars, like you know, every if you guys go back through a bunch of the shows, like every year we talk about, uh like the great list, the wish list right for Christmas that you you know, like I'm gonna get this for my car, and I'm gonna get that for my car.
Speaker 4: And you know, you haven't really seen you know, as ads are really coming back over the streaming platforms. You
know a car I've seen any car adds JD do you know where they're just like what was that one that's keys?
Speaker 2: Your keys for my keys? You know, like small keys,
you know the one I used to every year. I
think it was Mercedes used to do it every year and there was like the white Mercedes with the big red bow on it, and then they used to play it all the time, like every year there was like a new modification of it, and you it's just not that I'm a Mercedes fan, but I was just like, can we really got the horse and dog? That would
be cool to come out and Christmas and have a big bow on a car, you know what I mean.
Like I don't know, growing up is when you're a kid, you see that you have those like those weird fantasies of I wish I got a car for Christmas, you know what I mean. And it was always like lightly
snowing in the background, and then commercial and stuff. You're like, oh,
what a what a picturesque moment this is Now that you're an adult and you're like it's cool, But then it comes with the car payment.
Speaker 4: And the best one that I remember is I think land Rover that did it where they put a big speed bump in the road and everybody drives up to it and it's everybody churning around and stuff because it's a really big they know, like after like twenty cars pull up, the Landover pools up and they're like huh and they push a button and it's like I'll climb assists mode.
Speaker 2: They climb over top of this speed bump. And stuff. Yeah,
I was like that commercial, I've told you want a land Rover when you have had the conversation. They just
don't make cor commercial as far as i'm they don't make commercials.
Speaker 1: Like they used to.
Speaker 2: They just I just wish they did. You used to
be excited about cars and Christmas time, we'll get you, you know, the Christmas car commercials, I feel like kind of got you. Like in the Christmas spirit. There's one
commercial and every once in a while they run it every year, it's the little uh, like the little bamboo hut out on like an island by itself, and the palm tree lights up with the Christmas lights. I don't know,
I couldn't even tell you who that commercials for familiar, but I just remember that commercial and it's still every once in while. I think I still see it play
like every year, and the commercial has got to be over twenty years old by now, but that's just like, you know, it's Christmas time when you see that commercial.
I jumped online and started looking for obviously for the for you know stuff talking on the show, but I start looking for like the cool car gadget stuff that's coming out this year, and we talk about every single year.
But there's I don't see anything like really cool for the holidays, and I don't see any huge sales for the holidays for anything. So give an instance. I was
looking for a duck bill spoiler, I'm looking for one right now. So I figured, well, you know, I'll go
out and look, maybe there's got to be like some holidays sale for one or something like that. No, there's
no holiday sale for it. I still need it regardless,
I wanna end up needing it, but there's no I figured, you know, maybe i'd get like, I don't know, forty dollars off or something like that. I guess maybe because
in the particular car I'm trying to put it on, it doesn't cost a whole lot of money. I mean,
I think that the there's a carbon fiber one. Even
the carbon fiber one was only like two hundred and fifty bucks, you know, I mean, so it wasn't like really expensive. But I guess you can't give too much
money off r Two weeks.
Speaker 4: Ago, we talked about my car battery. That was two
weeks ago, two three, So somebody still I don't replaced it.
If you guys been wondering enough, still haven't replaced it.
It's now dead by the way, so the car won't start.
And the reason why I haven't replaced it is because I was going to replace it with a manufactured battery, like you guys recommend it. But I wanted to see
if they when I'm sale for Black Friday, they didn't.
Speaker 2: Black Friday sale for a battery, and there I was.
There's stuff, I mean, even so it's we do you guys know, even following show we do a big, huge Christmas charity every year. We're in our eleventh year of
doing it, where we adopt some families and we take care of them and stuff. And the sales this year
are non existent. It's almost double the cost this year
for us to buy all the stuff that we buy for the family. So it was last year, I mean.
And the way I know that's because there's certain things we buy the same every year for the families. It
doesn't matter what family it is. Every year, you know,
we we do like some clothing and then we do toys for the kids. It's like that the clothing side
is always kind of the same clothing. But there's that's
how I knew there was gonna be a weak Black Friday.
I'm like, Okay, there's nothing coming out, nobody's advertised for anything, and then the prices are just crazy. Like, even if
we do have a Black Friday sale, I don't think it's going to be like what we think because it just price would be still coming back to where they were.
So is it you know, I don't know Wheels. I
was looking at wheels. I need to buy a set of wheels,
two for a car, and so I went looking through wheels and I couldn't find any savings, no savings. I've
been looking for a little bit. I've been looking at wheels.
Speaker 5: The savings or they display it as savings, but there's really no you know, occasional.
Speaker 2: Saving in every market, not just a car market, but in every market. I think that stuff. They raise the
prices and they tell you have a big fries sale, and it's just right back down on the regular price.
Speaker 4: So today only and then tomorrow, today only today, He's like today only.
Speaker 2: Well, so you guys, if you guys been following along for the last couple episodes, I've hinted on the fact that I uh kind of want to buy a new muscle car, and I've been looking and stuff. So I'm
thinking Christmas time maybe a good time to find a deal. Right.
First of all, the car that I think I want, UH does they haven't get a release date to still they've been talking about it's still no release date to it, and but I was kind of hoping maybe the release date would hit and then maybe there'd be a little bit some sales to have and stuff, and there isn't.
I don't think this particular car, UH is gonna You're gonna pay full premium for this car because it's the limited edition anyway, So, like I said, I think I think I want to buy it. I don't know.
Speaker 4: I still have to get the green light from the canty my dealer.
Speaker 2: Okay, so I did do some call like we talked.
If you guys been fall I'm thinking about buying the four to twenty nine Boss Mustang for twenty twenty five, that's right. So no so for you guys Musting fans
that I always give a hard time to own in the me Too car, I've looked at everything, As I told you guys, I've looked at every single car. And
when I look at performance and what I'm getting for money, value and stuff like that. It's it's it's probably the
best bet.
Speaker 1: You know.
Speaker 2: I got in a conversation with somebody last week and they're like, well, why don't you just buy a new Camaro?
And I, you, guys know my Chevy guy when it comes to trucks stuff, when told you guy, when it comes most cars, I don't care what you drive. There's
some things about the Camaro that I don't like. I
don't like the blind spots in it. And anybody I've
talked to that owns one tells me, yeah, it takes a little bit to get used driving it because of the way that it sits in It does have some blind spots. So they know it and they own it,
and they agree with me on pond that it does have them. Okay, I don't feel that in the Mustang
Like I don't feel like having that that problem in that car. Number two, I don't. I don't want to
buy a regular moustand I think already told you guys, I don't have any interest in owning like a regular GT.
If I buy something, no matter what it is, if it was a Camar, even if I got a camera, had to be something special. Addition, I want something that
I'm not going to see every day out on the road, you know what I mean. And that's where customizing your
car comes into. You can buy regular car and then
customize it and you make it your own and that's what makes it cool. But I you know, my understanding
is this, it's gonna be limited, limited production, small production on these cars. And if that's what it is, and
that's my interest in having it out of the fact that it's a cool car, but the fact that it'll be a limited limit run, right, something that's not right the price tags on them or it looks like they're going to be absolutely outrageous inflated and you're gonna pay for that limited production, but still makes it kind of cool.
Is that what you got on screen right this time? Yeah?
Looked over. I was like, I was like, is that
the Boss four twenty nine you got on the screen too?
I totally, it's just a video. It's just a cool
looking car, it is. I mean, it's just if you
guys haven't got to look at it. And that's the color.
That's the color on Cameron's tempted me over here. You
guys can't see the screen, but he's got he's got the white one pulled up. Yeah, but I like there's
a there's one even more limited production than that, and it's going to be the would you get the wing on it?
Speaker 3: Though?
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I'm like, get spoiler even if I don't.
If I don't like it that way, I think they take that spoiler off then put.
Speaker 4: Us if you guys are If you guys want to look it up, it's called the four to twenty.
Speaker 2: Nine Boss Mustard. You guys have looked at you twenty
twenty five edition.
Speaker 3: So so Karen and buy my Mustang. I'll get to Shelby.
Speaker 2: So here's the thing is this is funny. Up is funny?
Do you not know that this is completely funny to me that we are in the process of everybody like like Nathaniel bought his Mustang and now Cam Nathaniel wants to sell his Mustang to Cameron. I'm driving a Mustang
right now. Car six car. He needs to be six
unless you it's six. If it's unless you got the luxury,
the the the high performance, if you wanted a high performance section and chose when you've got to be six car.
Speaker 4: But that's okay, I'm still driving it. I mean I'm
driving it to test it out. I mean.
Speaker 2: Is sadly in repair right now. You probably get over
to repair to get the deal with.
Speaker 4: So I requested a Musting for him, so not for him, but for me to personally test.
Speaker 2: So here's the thing, Like I said, I think it's kind of funny that Nathaniel has the Mustang and now he wants to sell it to Cameron so he can buy Shelby. And then I'm looking to buy in a
special addition, and there's a good chance at some point in time we might have three Mustangs of the house, which was never the plan. Daniel. Daniel when he told.
Speaker 4: Me you should buy his Mustang was trying to act like he was going to sell me his Musting for the price he bought it for, like it didn't leave worth.
Speaker 2: Like this second. So you know what, I had a
we have brother the conversation about this, and his car is actually, for somehow is worth sixteen hundred dollars more than he paid for it. It's because we got it.
We got a deal on it. Yeah, we basically right,
because I got the Ford loyalty and then I got military on top of that, so we got both of those on that car, which he gave me a huge discount of it drove for sixteen hundred dollars more than he paid for it.
Speaker 4: Was droveing his like an I thought about it in known that was drove in his car good enough where I know that it hasn't been beat up on, it hasn't really been drugged through the money it might be worth he buys the shelby. It might be easy, you know,
because I'm not like looking for like you guys are.
I'm not looking for that special dish.
Speaker 2: I mean, I'm gonna make it you're mine, you know.
Speaker 4: Right now, I'm just in a to be car, and it would be nice to have a nice weekend car.
But let's be honest at this point, I'm.
Speaker 2: Not if we all end up three ended up with lesting and then like we're not right, We're not all stay guys. Big car shows are always parked next to
each other. We would be the biggest joke.
Speaker 4: Everybody would be like you guys, remember eight years ago when you said me too, me too?
Speaker 2: Okay, would let me explain it.
Speaker 5: I will say that I do like my twenty twenty four over the twenty twenty three just sitting in it and just kind of driving even though there's you know, there's different series.
Speaker 2: And because I was there when you bought it, I was one of one of the biggest influences of you buying that car, and not like I said, yes, dude, what camera said. There has been a me too movement
me too forever with when it comes to Mustangs. With
me so, I think we even know. The biggest reason
why is because I know I have a lot of friends that own them, and I love my friends, and I got a lot of listeners to own them, and I think it's great and stuff. But every time I
talked in a group to somebody, it was like, oh, man, I just got a new set of wheels for my car.
And then the guy next to him, You're like, oh, ye, me too, and he's like, yeah, you know, I'm gonna order this such and such spoiler for my car, and then the guy over the other corners like, oh, yeah, me too. So I deemed the Mustang is the me
too car because every time it was a conversation about a Mustang, somebody people are always buying the same parts, and it was just it was a me too conversation every time I got stuck in the conversation.
Speaker 3: You know what I say, If it ain't brogue, don't fix rug.
Speaker 2: Don't fix it. You're right, But like I said, we
will see. Like I said, I I'm itching. My biggest
problem is I feel like I'm cheating on the trans am.
Uh so, you know, with the bad am sitting inside the garage and pieces and we're still putting together. I
feel like buying something new, I'm cheating on it. But
you're not because.
Speaker 5: Because you will be mads on the keys, you know, something that's not your precious.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: I know I probably still be really really well.
Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm just saying, you know, I'm just.
Speaker 2: Saying, No, I got what you're saying. I might cancel
a whole barbecue. Yeah, like last time something of his gun.
We were a couple of years. No, No, we're fifteen
years in yeah, probably fifteen years into that.
Speaker 5: I was more thinking about, like long the stories of like you know when you talk about that dude buying his car and he keys it up myself.
Speaker 2: You know, I just told that story this week to somebody. Yeah,
because so we're gonna we're gonna talk about there's something about that later on in the news. But yeah, I
was explaining that to somebody. If you guys never heard
the story, it's a story where a guy couldn't get I sold a guy car, couldn't get to pick it up, and he wouldn't pick it up because he was praise, He's gonna scratch it. And then when he did show
it to pick it up, he scratched his own car, put a big scratch and he goes there, it's Gott's first scratch. Now I can drive it home. We told
that story about on the air before. But you know
I should be mad if I bought.
Speaker 5: It, Well, you were, But I'm saying, like, you know, there's a difference between like the sentimental value of the car it is.
Speaker 2: So so here's my issue with with the with the car.
So we were having like we were having the conversation, Nathany and I were talking without Cameron around and were having a conversation about it. And the problem with the
bad am is is it's there's a sentimental value that car besides the fact all the money we got tied up in that car there is it was my grandfather's car.
So if something happens, I can't replace everybody's like, well, you always go find another seventy seven trans am. I'm like,
I can't, but I can't find that seventy seven trans am.
So my issue with it now is we're getting closer and closer to being done with it. Is the fear
of driving it, Like there is a fear that resides inside me as far as driving it is driving that car, because I just know I can't replace that car. And
we'll see what happens if I ask D right it does.
We'll see if if I get the green light to buy this other car. An anology, How let you guys
know this status updata's happens they get past the life.
But maybe I'll get lucky anyway. Let me take quick

Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back. All right, let's jump into this
one because you guys, we've talked about this on so many different levels, and I can't believe that, like twice three times a year a story gets sent my way on this exact topic and you got So, you guys know how much I really dislike Hoa's. I just think
they're it's the way that it's set up. I think
it's silly. It doesn't make any sense to me. I
don't the fact that they control everything and you pay money for your house makes no sense to me. And
then when it affects you and your vehicles, like I don't. Okay,
so let me be the first one to say if you're And I know I'm gonna get a bunch of hate on this, I just know it, but I'm gonna say it anyway. I understand the HO eight On a
car side of things up, I don't like a guy living next to me has a car pulled pull you know, pulled apart in a million pieces of sitting in his driveway.
I just don't. And I'm a car guy, and I
just don't like it, you know. I mean, everybody goes, well,
you're not a really true guy car guy. If that
bothers you. Now, Man, I paid a lot of money
for houses over the years, and I've had some really nice homes. And when I have a nice home and
I have people come visit me, the last thing I want is the neighbor next to me have a car all pulled apart and sitting on jack stands underneath covers and it's half torn apart.
Speaker 3: Especially.
Speaker 2: That's what I don't want it, right. I don't want
I don't want people to come visit me to see that if it was sitting there for a day's right now.
And I got friends who have cars projects like that because and I understand you don't have the space. They're like,
well I don't have the space, Well then you shouldn't have torn the car probably apart, because you don't really have the space, you know, or the accommodations to do.
So that's all was my reply. And they're like, well,
not everybody's lucky to have a setup like you've had.
I had to work for my but even when I had my townhouse, I didn't have cars torn apart in a million pieces at my townhouse, I worked on cars, but I my mess was all cleaned up. You couldn't
tell you know what I mean? Like right? So, but
I have seen many pictures sent to me, so I understand how the HOA gets involved in that. What I
don't understand is when the HOA makes decisions about what, how, when, where?
Like I told you the one, there's the HOA. I
think it's in Florida that they can't have pickup trucks parked in the driveway. But I think we talked about
that story, you know, months ago and which threw me for a loop. And I don't know if I told
you this story, but we talked about my buddy Mark, who bought his townhouse and then didn't own his driveway.
The HOA owned his driveway, but he owned the house.
I can't understand how that happened. I understand. And they
were towing his car out of his driveway regularly for little thing like you got a flat tire? Car got
towed like I can't handle it, I get a flat you know, just the silliest things that made no sense to me. So another story gets gets sent to me
again about them towing cars out of people's driveways in HOA, if it has expired inspection sticker or or state ID or registration or whatever you guys want to call it in your state. And they're tolling, They're towing these cars
out of people's driveways. And I'm like, first of all,
how does that promote good neighbors? Right? And I'm like,
because you had to pay you ho fees. You know,
you had to pay fees to these people. And I
understand it's designed to keep the neighborhood nice, but like, if I came home and you towed my car out of my driveway, hoa or no, HOA, I can tell you right now, I'm setting somebody on fire, right right, Rich Forks, Like, I can just tell you that's exactly, That's exactly, what's what's that? Cameron knows the story. But
when I say I'm setting something on fires, a story that that goes that I probably should never probably tell the rad but you know that's one way to get to make a point, trust me on this one, to get your paycheck, right. I don't remember the story. People
value things so younger years, guys, lem say, younger years.
I was kind of a loose cannon. But I'm just
saying I just can't imagine. And when and when my
buddy Mark was telling me, like the different times he had his car told out of his driveway for things, I was like, I couldn't wrap my head around. I
found it even at that time, I found it unbelievable, Mark Mark.
Speaker 4: If it was me, I'd be sitting My mission would be to sit outside every night with a drink.
Speaker 2: I would be I would be the h away president at that Like, look, I told your story. That became
the hoa president because he couldn't beat him, so he joined them, became president and then switched all this stuff to all the things they kept on giving him a hard time beat him. And I was just like, brilliant,
that's like something you only see, Like you can make a movie out of that you should like, that's the only thing that happens with like inside movies. Like he
literally he was getting naked things. He was getting so
friend he come to work every day frustrated this this friend of mine about something to happen with ha. He's like, uh,
you know what, Huh, I'm gonna start going. He's like,
I'm gonna start going to the meetings and I'll become president.
And I laughed, and he's sure enough he did. And
then he just reverted what started it with him? It
had nothing to do with cars, But start with him.
Is I think he painted his door color and they were giving him a hard time about the color he painted his door and it wasn't tacky by any means.
In fact, is.
Speaker 4: That the same dude that painted his fence pink? Because
the ordinance didn't say, no.
Speaker 2: That's somebody else.
Speaker 4: But you know that story too, Yeah, somebody else got mad at ha and they the ordinance said you couldn't paint something.
Speaker 2: The guy, the guy that I loved recently within like this last year, was the one that kept on getting the fines from his HOA for having his boat in his driveway. So then he took the boat out of
the driveway and then he painted a picture of his boat on his fence. Brilliant, brilliant, And it is a
replica like life portrait of like his boat on the fence.
It looks like the boat's still parked there. That's brilliant
to me. I just saw another one.
Speaker 4: This relates a little bit to cars, where they were having house built like a bunch of houses built in a yeah, and one person moved in and there was sold a house that's supposed to fit two cars, but it doesn't fit any cars because they made they put the water heaters in the back of the garage and the back bumper.
Speaker 2: Okay, don't even start the water. There's no such thing
as a two car garage. Just so you guys know,
really there isn't anymore. I have a two and a
half car garage. You can't get two and a half
cars in there. I mean you can, but you're never
like I might. I probably had to put push one
in if you just cares. And it's because the fact
that there's a hot water heater and it shortens it up in my hot water here and I well pump and all that kind of stuff is in my garage.
This is the small garages attached the house, not the big mega garage that we have. So and it just
doesn't make any sense. I'm like, what a what a
First of all, when the house being built, I even said it and it's my house. I probably could have
changed it, but there's really no other place to put it.
I know some people put them in the attic in houses like mine, whether if anything ever leaks or breaks around like that, it's a mess. And that's the reason
why they put them in the garage. But it takes
up that space. So you don't really true have the
full space in your garage because that's a lot of equipment.
Takes up a lot of space. But like I said,
you can imagine just say, you can get two cars in my garage, but it is tight. We don't put
two cars in the small garage that attached to the house.
But it will hold too if you need it to.
It's just there's there instead. It's a reindeer too. We're
not kidding like the h And I don't know if I told you we might talk to this on there before there's an ha that got And you guys know, I'm in the middle of nowhere, right, so I live out in the country and I love it. It's quiet
out here. But they build an hoa neighborhood down the
street away from me, and their country homes are on big lots, but they have hoa rules out in the middle of nowhere on this one street that they built this neighborhood. I think there's eight houses in a Coulton Sack,
and it's an hoa in the middle of nowhere that has no cars on the side. That's why you're not
a lot of park cars out in the street in the driveways. I think I told you guys, really really,
if you could pack you get four cars maybe in the driveway. That's all you can really get packed in.
You can't put anything else. But they're not a lot
of park on the street. And they put these big
tacky parking signs. I think I told you guys, no parking,
no parking in front of these people's you know, eight hundred thousand dollars homes that they build out here in the country. There's I think there's like ten signs on
the street.
Speaker 4: Like maybe it's it's what doesn't make even more sense to me is to Colton Sack.
Speaker 2: So it's like you could just by the way, think about it. It's big. These houses are on like three
they're on like three acre lots. So it's a big
cult to Sack for to go all the way around.
But they somebody had the mindset of they were so worried about people parking on the street that they went with these big TACKI signs in front of these beautiful homes and the reason why I ride my bike, and you know, out here in the country, a regular pedal bike, not a motorbike. But and I and I go down
that way and I always go into that cold sack and I ride. It's part of my ride. And when
I'm riding and I come through and there's these big TACKI signs, and the houses are beautiful homes. I'm like,
at what point did you go? Would you not went
I'm buying this home with that big tacky sign in front of my house. And it's not even nice signs, guys.
It's those like those green those green hammermen with a sledgehammer like posts that are just ugly that you get from like home depot, and then just like signs, yeah, like right, and then it's just like this weird like sign that somebody made that's put on every single one ago sign sign. It's just it's it makes no sense
to me. And I'm like, you must really hate cards
like I ever I see, I'm like the guy who built this little thing, and must hate vehicles. You just
have to. We're in the country now. Once again. I
live in the country, and I don't leave things laying around at my house. I built the big mega garage,
put cars in. I have my daily driver that sits
outside the mega garage. We have one project truck that
is not taken apart. It still drives and everything like that.
It looks just like a Regro truck to anybody else that's parked in front of one of the other base.
But everything that gets worked on is inside of our garage.
Don't and I don't keep If I tear a car apart, I don't leave the car outside torn apart. When the guy,
when the boys came over and worked on their cars, if their cars had to be torn into pieces, they went inside the garage. Nothing was to be left outside
the garage. And I live in the middle of nowhere.
I just don't want when someone rolls into my house or and I have neighbors, but they're not like we're not on top of each other by any means, but they can look over and see, you know what you got sitting out in your driveway. I don't want them
to have to stare at my mess. I just so,
like I said, I guess I'm torn. I really do
not like Huas, but to a certain degree, you start to go, well, I kind of understand, but I think the overreach is just.
Speaker 5: Overreach is crazy, is like run because sometimes it's run by the community or they have like you're.
Speaker 2: Towing people cars out of their driveways like like like so this is the third story this year that it's an hoa where cars are getting towed out of people's driveways for the silliest things. I'm telling you right now,
money maker you did is if you towed something out of my driveway, I would be nuts. And I was
telling the guys when we were on commercial break. So
they used to have towing out at the ocean front out here, and the toad trucks would line up on a side street and they'd take turns making runs to drive around in tow cars. And it was like the
biggest scam I ever felt, because you every time you turned there was a car on one of those toad trucks.
And then they got so smart they bought an empty lot out at the ocean front so they didn't to go back to their own yard, and they just was two hundred dollar drop fee and they put everything inside a little fence right there the ocean in front and they could it was packed to the gills with cars every single day. I don't know, I just it all
feels kind of scammy to me. If you had ha

Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back. So you know we're car news,
but we go off topic all the time. Whatever, Yeah,
we do, you know, we dabble and whatever we want to talk about stuff. This week's been kind of interesting.
I've gotten a lot of feedback from you guys, and it's been talking about you know, we were talking about car commercials earlier, but it is there seems to be like a movement in the car world from commercials to now all these tariffs and how that's going to affect things being shipped in and out of the country, and how's that going to affect parts or whatever. The first
thing that you guys had tasked me with and you asked what I thought about it was, is the new Jaguar commercial. If you guys haven't seen the Jaguar commercial,
check it out. Tell me what you think they definitely
they've gone a lot to be interpreted. I hate this term,
but it's it's like, it's a very woke commercial. I
guess the best way to put it. I mean, he
doesn't have a car in the commercial at all, which makes it even weirder. But it's a Jaguar commercial and
it's diversity and I'm not you know, guys, be honest with you.
Speaker 3: I can't even use to say the least.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was confused. Somebody sent it to me. They're like, hey,
you see a new Jaguar commercial. I'm like, nope, They're like,
I sent it to you. So I looked at a
cameras now in the face he's making. He's like, what
it's I see what's written on the screen. I understand
the MYSLF. I said, you haven't seen it, go look
take a look at it. But what it has nothing
like nothing to do with car. I'm so confused. But
it's funny they decided to re elect Trump I just few weeks ago, and like the world has gone crazy, like because everybody's like retracting everything. Did they not learn
anything from what happened? That's that's It's funny because that's.
Speaker 5: How the explanation that I got behind that to kind of give you is that these decisions are made years in advance. There's a lot of advertising and marketing behind it,
and cancel it. But to a certain point you can't
because you spent so much already. To a certain point.
That's at least that's what that was. The debate was
that at a certain point, once you spent so much marketing and you've done, you know, you've gone that.
Speaker 2: Far more scale. Okay, just scale I've done. You guys know,
we do commercials and stuff like that radio show, but we have a division that does commercials and we have we have spent days recording stuff, editing all kinds of stuff and put all these big commercial and we look at it and we go, you know what, this is not the message. And we've candidate but it can. But
this was a whole new rebranding.
Speaker 3: So it's kind of like, you know, it's not something you you know, you're not gonna you know, cut away.
Speaker 5: You know, a couple of hundreds whatever they spent you know, a million whatever, you know exactly.
Speaker 2: You know, push what they want to do.
Speaker 5: So you know, at a certain point, there is no you know, cutback, especially like when they talk about like you know, it's probably been made years in advance, so it's kind of like it's been led.
Speaker 2: Up to it. I got you, but you know what,
like like it was probably those people you guys heard of saying and like I said, I know, I'll get backlash from some people that listen to show. Alan said
it perfectly. Do you even sell cars? I just I'm
not mainstream following the mainstream on thing. I just don't
believe in just because that's what everybody's doing, that's what we need to do, we need to I've just I've never been that guy. I'm never going to be that.
Speaker 3: It's really pushing the marketing instead of the car.
Speaker 2: Let's pushing the envelope as well. Yeah, but what I'm.
Speaker 5: Saying is like they're not really selling you the car now right, They're trying to tell you an image.
Speaker 2: Okay, you know, like so they want men in dressing, don't.
I'm confused by like, I don't know what we were trying.
I'm not really sure what we were trying with.
Speaker 5: What it seems like is that they're trying to like sell you an image ordinary or something like that.
Speaker 4: What they like they were trying to reach like a different audience base, but it was like, I just feel like, you.
Speaker 2: Don't eat suprands.
Speaker 4: Just don't have to try to put that out there where you're like, this is the audience.
Speaker 2: Well you just like one of the forums on this commercial came up and the only way I could explain it, guys, and literally what I said was they're obviously I don't know, because people always ask me when you have a radio show.
I guess people like they want to know what your your opinion is from that's from the radio side or news side or standpoint or whatever it is. And I
get that. I'm a little hesitant to sometimes to answer things, right,
I'm hesitant to answer some thing because I don't want anybody have the wrong image about the way I answer.
You guys know, I'm kind of unfiltered as it is already, and I don't mean the malice by it. It's just
this is the way I speak. And the way that
I answered it was when they asked, because I got asked by a bunch of like what do you think I mean? And I was like, obviously they're not targeting
me like that. Commercial wasn't meant to target me as
a buyer, and that's what that's only my answered. I'm like, okay,
I'm like, it's a commercial. I don't I don't. I
don't understand it. But maybe I don't understand because it
wasn't it wasn't focused at me to understand it. It's
it went right over my head apparently, and if somebody caught it and maybe they understand it, it makes them want to buy the car. It didn't make me want to.
It didn't even have a carr no even what kind of car me. Other than the fact I know it's
Jaguar commercial, I don't know, you know what I'm buying or what you know?
Speaker 3: Well, I think that's those kind of that they're going for.
Speaker 5: Is like they're trying to sell you the image of like what it could what They're trying to guess, like I'm trying to.
Speaker 2: Go make this up, like explain it as was perfect copy nothing. I don't think anybody will be copying it.
I mean, well, you know it's funny because I watched a couple of different other news you're talking about them.
The news outlets are like you, I see what the mest did, but I don't know what direction. I don't
know where we're going. Say any news is good, we're
talking about it. I apparently it workout it.
Speaker 4: I just feel like they try to open up a can that didn't need to be open. No, no, here,
Just so you guys.
Speaker 2: Understand, how you just so you guys completely understand, so you you're not getting wrong. I have friends of all
walks of life. I mean, I have friends that this
probably makes more sense to them than it does to me.
I don't know, and I don't need to go any free.
So I got friends with all walks away, and I'm good with that. I don't understand how you take that
and bundle it and try to make it a car commercial without a car. I don't. I don't get it.
Somebody make it make sense to me, but they're not going I've seen risky commercials in the past, and I've seen risky car commercials that make no sense. We were
talking about like, if you're trying to sell me a car, it needs to be something about a car. I just
know if you want me to buy your brain, it has to be car related. I don't this for me.
Speaker 4: It miss at least have them hop out of a car, you know, like get out of a car together.
Speaker 2: You're not helping me anywhere any here.
Speaker 3: Like I said, I'm just trying to sell video.
Speaker 4: Nothing about a car in it. I'm just seeing the
video for the first time. So you know this is
you understand.
Speaker 2: And if you guys haven't seen the commercial once again, you can watch the commercial. If you would have had everybody
get out of a car, would it This didn't sound bad, but I gotta say it because I'm unfiltered. What it
would look like like you're trying to sell like a clown car ad or something like that. I mean like
it would have made no you would have been like what what I feel like? Way, but there's no car.
That would have been weird. But what if?
Speaker 5: What if right when they were selling like the Honda Odyssey.
I mean, maybe that would have made a little more sense, right, because it's like it's like like.
Speaker 3: Maybe it's like it's like it's like sci fi is I don't know. I'm just like I'm trying to make
it make sense.
Speaker 2: He's like, think it makes sense for me? All right,
I'll move on for that one. Tariffs cames over there,
died the terrorists are another one that people said me, like, hey, what do you think about the tarist How do you think that'sningn affect specially with the one with Mexico because we import cars from Mexico. Nathaniel I had got in
the conversation as well before the show when we were talking about it, and he's like Nathany always, he's the everything's we passed. Stay out of these conversations for a reason.
I mean, but here's the thing. I so my answer
on the tariff guy is the question you asked me, and how it's gonna affect the car market. It is
gonna affect parts, It's going to affect cars. But if
if the end result pushes people to move manufacturing back in the United States and making stuff like that, we take things out of countries, so don't want to support us, so don't want to help us, then I'm all for it.
I'm never for anybody losing their job, even in other countries, certain countries, I guess I don't want it. I don't want
the people to be without jobs. That's not be extremely
unchristian me to think that way. But at the end
of the day, what's good for America is good for America.
So if that pushes things and people argue tariffs all the time, I'm not that guy. I'm not political, So
don't try to argue with me, because it's it'll be the most amute conversation you ever have with me. I
just I don't really get into politics with people, especially within the side of the show. But I do understand
moving things moving and manufacturing back to the United States, and I understand punishing people who don't support us in any of our agendas rather has anything to do with cars or not. I get it. So I hope that
answers it, because I got a bunch of people ask me how they thought that was affected. Parts, as you
guys know already, is a big, huge problem here in the United States. We supply on getting parts from everywhere,
and the more we have problems with other countries and stuff, the part game has been ASID nine. I know people
that have been waiting still for transmissions. They're on their
fourth month waiting to get transmissions, and on a car that normally would take less than a week to get a transmission. And it's because it comes from other countries
and the problems we're having with other countries and shipping and arguments and all that kind of stuff is the delay, And nobody's going to tell me any different because those parts come from countries that we don't have that we're having struggles with within relationships with and stuff. So I
know the way to try to affect up us here is to delay, slow down all that kind of stuff, and we are feeling it. In the automotive world. Parts
are no joke. I mean such some of the most
simplest parts you are waiting for that make no sense to me. And it's happening everywhere in the auto market.
And you know, I have friends that go, well, you know, I don't. I got an auto garage. I'm not really
having any problems with parts. I'm like, then you're doing
some of the parts. You're doing some of the simpler stuff,
some of the harder stuff, and some of the bigger parts.
It is very hard to get your hands on transmissions, motors, you name it, computer controlled, anything that's computer like. We
just one of the garages waited four months for a val body, I mean for a transmission. I mean that's
just it's these it's insane. These are not normal times.
That's not normal to wait that long, but those parts are made in countries that we are not having the best relationships with like this second, So it makes sense at the end of the day, sometimes.
Speaker 3: Things going to get harder before it gets easier.
Speaker 2: Right, you took words right in my mouth. We're going
to go through some of these struggles. But if in
the end things happen and it's better for America, I'm off for what's good for America. I mean I at
the end of the day, if we got to struggle a little bit to get there, then I'm all for struggling a little bit for us to finally get there.
And all my friends that own aut of garages out there, I understand your struggle. I hear you guys when you
send me messages and you guys tell me it's rough and it's very hard to please a customer because you can't get a part in. The customer just absolutely does
not understand. So if you're the customer and you listen
to this show and you don't own our garage or whatever, and you're the ones that's buying the parts, bear with them.
Nobody wants to hold your car hostage. I keep on
telling me about that over and over again. They do
not want to hold your car hostage. They'd love to
get you a car because they want to collect the money they're charging you for it, and they can't collect the money until they fix your car. So trust me,
they're not trying to do it on purpose and that no, guys, let me take another quick commercial break. When we come back,

Speaker 2: Hey, welcome back, guys. So here's a topic that we
have covered in different ways. There's a lot of different
stuff that you guys can tell. So because of the
holidays and stuffhen we got around on holidays, auto neews slows down, so we I usually refer to things that people are talking about on forums and stuff like that because I find that stuff sometimes more interesting in the regular auto news. So this is something that is out
there in the world that people are talking about in certain circles and things that I experienced with friends that own auto garages, and I just kind of wonder about what your guys' take on it is. So I title
this the drop off. So when you take your car
to the repair shop and you drop it off, I did.
There's a phenomenon that I've always I don't understand, Like people will drop the car off, they kind of pick their car up and they're like well, my car didn't have that scratch. It's It's always been an irritant in
the car world. And the biggest reason why is because,
like I said, I know for a fact, people do not get out of their car every day and walk around their car. I just know. I just know they
they don't. I do we talk about how I do?
Because I'm just a little weird. I walk around my
car all the time. Camera sees me do it. I'll
get out of my car and sometimes I will even in parking lots, like if I'm parking my car like a shopping all, I'll get out my car and kind of do a walk around my car before I leave it.
I've started doing and because I get door dings and stuff like that, it drives me nuts. And I got
pay to have door dings taken out. And you know,
so I'm really I think I told you guys the story about and if I did so, I had my car parked and I was getting a haircut, and I think we talked. Do we talk about the story where
the rubber door God where the old guy smacked my car and he hit it softly. He hit it, but
he kind of hit it softly. The first time, so
I didn't jump out of my seat and I didn't say anything to the guy. Then he hit it again,
he hit it harder, and then the third time I couldn't even get outside. The third time it smacked my truck,
and I kind of lost my crap on him a little bit, I mean, rightfully. So, and that was the
guy that told me, He's like, well, that's why I put door guards on my vehicle. I'm like, yeah, but
that's protect yours, not the dent you're putting in my vehicle by smacking my door. And he couldn't get it.
And I probably maybe I could have been nicer, but I was past niceness. I mean, like, stupidity is stupidity, right,
I mean like, like, you hit my vehicle three times, and you you're justifying it by that you have these little rubber protectors on your blade blade. I mean, so,
I guess I probably I could have been nicer. But
and then and and here's the thing. I thought I
was pretty nice because the twenty twenty some odd year old of me would really handle that a different way.
So I thought it was probably a little bit nicer than I was. But out there in the forming he
likes to talk with friends. There's a lot things about
when people bring their cars or pair shop and they drop them off, and then people could to pick up their car and they literally go right to the car and they go that scratch wasn't there, okay, first of all, in the car world, just so you know, if you do anything when you go to pick up your car and you go out to your car and you instantly point something out to me it was there before. It's
just you're not going to convince us in the car world any different unless it if you decide to walk around your car and you walk around and you go right to something like I think I told you guys, the guy that brought me his car and his horn didn't work, and he didn't eve get in the car.
He just reached through the window because we had the car pulled it around front for him, and he reaches into the window and honks the horn from outside of the car and then comes and goes, hey, mo, my horn don't work. Your horn didn't work when you dropped
it off. There's what would have possessed you go out
there and honk that horn, right, Okay, nothing was in your way? Right? The guy that gets inside of the
car you did, breaks for me, gets inside his car, comes back and he goes, hey, MA, my radio don't work.
What possessed you to turn your radio on? We just
we did brakes? What and I want to talk? They
left and came back. They're in. They literally have sat
down on the car for two seconds. Come back in
and tell you something's wrong. In the automotive world, we
you're not going to convince anybody. And maybe something did
happen to your vehicle. I could have, but you're not
going to convince anybody when things like that happened that it didn't already happen because you went right there looking for that issue, which is just suspect as can be.
So I guess the thing is like, so how to auto garage is combat that with you as maybe as a customer or auto garage. You're listening to the show,
how do you combat that with your customer? Because I
can tell you how we've done it, you know, in the past. So when I was very heavily in automobile,
we put cameras everywhere, and we didn't tell the customers we had cameras everywhere, So you record it. A week's

Here's you getting out, here's you leaving it. Here's your
cars that sat the whole time. Here's the guys. He
got in your car, pulled your car in the building.
He'd cook all the way around the property as comes in. No,
but nothing touched it. Here at your car is sitting
in the garage. Here it is being lifted up on
a rack. When you have that many cameras, you can
follow the car everywhere. That's the reason why if you
guys have seen, if you've been to auditoce Ship lady, they had that new scan Have you seen that machine?
I think we talked a lot. There's a machine that
you drive through almost like a metal detector scanner, and it literally takes imagine of your car all the way around, every single scratch, everything in the car.
Speaker 5: The actually did mention that when I drop my car right, they're gonna get it like an imagine of the car.
Speaker 2: It's an imagine scanner. It scans every scratch, nick, dent, ding,
you name it. It's everything. And the advanced ones could
even now and I don't know if there's in the dealerships yet can tell you if the tires have tire wear and all that kind of stuff. It checks the tires,
the weight of everything, you name it. It does at all
and there's no getting around it. But for smaller garages
can and by the way that machine I looked it up, it's not very expensive. They're only like fifteen grand. I mean,
it's not a bad investment for any audits, even smaller, just fifteen thousand dollars. No problems, right, absolutely. But here's
how you know. I let me tell you, here's how
you know a customer does a know what to say when you go, well, sir madam, I got cameras around my whole property. I will go check our video cameras
and then you can go and check it all. And
you see that there's no way. Can you always see
the scratch. There's a lot of times I in the past,
when I was in the in the field, I go back and look and see the dent on the car.
I could see the scratch in the car when it was dropped off to me. But they'll swear it wasn't there,
and it's just but then you become like it doesn't matter you when you tell somebody like I got it all on video, like I can tell you there's still match you. They're still convinced they're right, they're still mad
at you? Or are they mad because they their story
didn't line up? Right? I understand. Maybe here's the thing
when people go, well, it wasn't there when I drop it off to you and I and I always want to go, so how many stops did you make it in the week before bringing me that car? Grocery store,
parking lots, da da da da ta top around your car every single time? There's no way or you get
a scratch that there's like you get scratches, there's there's no way you can look at scratch, go there's no way that happened in my hare by the type of mark scratch or whatever it is, you know what I mean.
Like you just have to be really rough with it, right, you know, it's just like so it's the drop off procedure in the automotive world. Is is absolutely horrible. I
like this new invention. If you guys haven't seen him,
you go to a dealership for work, check it out.
It's actually pretty cool. The fact that it does an
imaging on it. There's no question anymore.
Speaker 3: Like, I think it's pretty smart.
Speaker 2: It is. There's like there's a lot I no way
to get around that, and I think it was smart.
I experienced one when I went to the dealership last month's first when I saw one, and then I went research like, well, that's kind of cool, and he's like, yeah, it takes. It takes pictures of everything we know it, Like
if it's got small SOTL scratch chips, stuff like that, we can see it all in the imaging. And I'm like,
that's just good to know. That's really very nice.
Speaker 3: You're like a little antsy about small nicks and scratches.
Speaker 2: Well, you know, I am, I'm I'm, I'm, I'm bad about it. Like I come out. I can usually tell
sometimes if I'm walking out to my truck, because it happens a lot in parking lots that somebody's tapped my door.
I see just a little thing and I'm like, man, someone got me. I uh. I was with my buddy
Kurt uh yeah, yesterday. And you're a perfect example. He
doesn't get in on the passenger side of his car.
He gets into the driver side. He's the only wa
who really drives his car. So I'm getting in the
pastor side of his car and I was like, hey man, when you get that dent there, He goes, that's not even funny. I was like, I wish I was joking.
He's like, there's not a dent in my car. Said, yes, sir,
there is. There's a det It looks like a tree
branch or something smacked it, like from a storm. And
there's a little ding in the in the in the crest of the door. It's small, but it's there, like
you could I mean, it's evidently there. And that was
kind of what brought this topic up because him and I were talking about I was like, you know, in the U straight he owns in a garage, so you know he understands where we know how to talk about that conversation with me, and I was like, that's a perfect example. You didn't even you drive this car every day.
You're in and out of this car twenty times a day, and you didn't realize there was a ding there, Like you had no idea. But if you would have took
it to an auto shop and dropped it off, there is a phenomenon. I don't know what it is. People
could get the repairs done, and they know a lot of people know. They get out, they leave the repair
shop and they walk around the car before they get and drive off. Now see all the things they haven't
seen in months. They just assume you did it. Like
I had a guy a while back. He was like, oh,
you know, you guys scratched my car up. And I
went out and took a look at his car and there's this scratch all the way down the side of his car. And he's right, there is a scratch. He's like, man,
that wasn't there when I dropped it off to you.
And I was like, okay, and I'm looking at it. Well,
you know me, I don't fold very He's like, I want to take care of customers back then when I was like when I was in the field regular, I always want to take care of my customer. So I
went and I grabbed a pair of glasses. I use.
It gives me. My vision isn't always the best. And
I looked at and you can look even without a magnifying glass, there's rust in the scratch. And I'm like,
it didn't rust in the five hours we had the car or whatever. Like you didn't get to rush in
the little while right. If there's rust in the scratch,
it's been there. He's like, what do you mean there's
russ And I said, I look like, look, I said, I put these glasses on. They're like magnified, like they're
like almost like a reading glass, but they're magnified by like I don't know one, two five or whatever is.
You can see really clearly and it just gives you a little little I was like, look, I said, look at the rust inside the inside the scratch. He looked
at it, and he goes and he looked at and he was very abrasive, and then he had a he had a back down that abrasiveness, you know what I mean, because he was like like, because you get clearly right, you can clearly see the rusted And I was like, that doesn't. That doesn't happen overnight, you know what I mean, Like,
it just doesn't. It's been there. Had another guy years
ago that picked his car from the left and came back and he's like, look, man, look at you guys did in my car. And there's a huge debt in
the rocker panel. And he's like, man, you guys must
have crushed it when you guys lifted my car on the lift. And I was like, well, unbeknown to customer,
we don't lift cars from rocker panels. You know what
I mean, Like, you don't, that's not where you left the car from. But in his mind that's what when
they see it on a lift, I think they think that's how you're lifting it. I was like, sir, he
lifted from the frame. You don't lift it from the
rocker panel and you and then of course when you crawl up there and you get underneath, it's all rusted where it was crushed at. I'm like, didn't happen overnight.
But it's just an I don't think I think some customers try to get over. I don't think I've seen customers.
I think they just don't walk around their car, right, Like I said, the unknown, you guys tell me different solution.
Whatever it may be, it's it is what it is, Like I said, I just something that kind of came up, and I thought it was an interesting conversation. I was
