w KQUA Freedom Radio. I'm your host, Big DAVP hanging
out with Camera Chaos and EVB. Hey guys, it is
in our area. Uh, still pretty cold, snow still kind
of clinging around. I mean, so it's uh, I'm sure
as I watched the weather for everybody, I think everybody got a little bit of the snow all the way across America pretty much what it looked like.
Speaker 3: So let's just say for the time that I've never believed the weatherman. I might believe the weatherman now he's
been right twice.
Speaker 4: Yes, here was the thing.
Speaker 2: So you know, in our area, the weather kept changing, so it's like you may get some snow, you may not.
And I had said something like two weeks ago, I saw about this weird winter storm that was going to come across and I start telling people about it, and it looked at me like I was like, I don't know, I had two heads and I wasn't telling the truth or whatever it was. I was like, well, I don't know.
I guess we'll see. And then sure enough, you know,
it broke loose and we end up getting the snow.
Roads have been crazy, which springs up every time that roads are crazy and there's winter and there's snow, brings up conversations from people sending me messages, and then the forums start blowing up about it, and across the United States, I've listened to everybody talk about the driver. I guess
what I don't understand, and we talk about like we haven't talked about it in a while, because it's.
Speaker 4: Been a couple of years for us in this area since we've got.
Speaker 2: But nice I think of, to you get these crazy accidents and these pile ups and all kinds of stuff, and it's tragic to watch some of this stuff happen, but like, you know, this happens every year. May not
happen every year in your area, but it happens every year.
So if you find yourself going to the places that are snowy where, I mean.
Speaker 4: Why are you not driving with more precaution? Does that
make sense?
Speaker 2: Not just I don't. I don't get it.
Speaker 4: And I don't understand the lack of precaution.
Speaker 2: Like, for instance, I had to drive and I had to go to the hospital the first day of snow, right, and I think I was on the road for ten minutes and there was nine cars you know, flipped into the ditches within a short distance. And I'm like, really, guys, like,
especially if you live out like in my area, they don't service the roads out this way. We're farmland. It
is not important for them to service the roads. I mean,
so it just doesn't happen, right, So you know that there should be some precautions. And then I had people
that were trying to like, you know, pass you. Yeah,
they're trying to fly by and stuff like that. And
then I'm watching them as they try to go by me and they' getting all kinds of squirrelly and stuff.
And then of course, so I went by, Uh, there's there's some wine up, some switchbacks I got to go through to leave the country. I live back before you
get into the city. And of course every time we
get a little bit of ice or snow, there's always cars laying in those corners on the side, laying all the brakes or the ditches.
Speaker 4: They're in the ditches. They're in the ditches already.
Speaker 2: And I'm like, well, we go through this every time, all of us travel most of these roads all the time.
You know, when it hits it right roads to get out of our area. So if every time, if it
wasn't you last time, you saw what happens to cars in those turns, So why do you not? I mean,
I just so I go through it an area and there's two cars slipped into the ditch, and I'm like, oh, well, and there's no toe truck present yet. So as I
come back through that area where I was at the hospital, and I come back through, the tow trucks are now on site, which is like almost two hours later. They're
just getting around to trying to hook these cars get them on a ditch and they're pulling pull, you know, starting to pull them by the ditch. So then I
had to come back to that area about two hours later, they were still pulling the same car out of the ditch and I'm like, okay, So I'm like, is it a bad toad truck driver? Like does he just not
get it understand? Should I get out and show them
what to do? And no, that's not me being funny.
That's I used to teach uh training in tow trucks for people to do rollovers and stuff like that in my younger years. So I do have a really good
understand of rigging and pulling cars out of ditches and flipping them over and stuff. But I didn't you know,
who would know how that would have gone?
Speaker 1: Right?
Speaker 2: I would have got involved, I think if I needed to.
So as I'm sitting there and stuff like that and I'm waiting to kind of come through, uh, there's a car slides and goes right in the ditch and flips on the side. I mean because our ditches, I told you,
guys are deep. And I'm like, okay, so you see
there's a toad truck right, you see there's cars you know that are to kind of back up. So what
do you do You never think about like slowing down, I guess in that corner and he went right in the same corner that the other cars did and he just went whoop.
Speaker 5: Now, or they do what most people think not to do is and they break immediately and they cause a chain reaction to them sliding around or you know, causing them more rocket.
Speaker 2: Once again, okay, and I got you, and I understand it, but once again, my thought process is, you have gone through those intersections before, like you have gone through them, and you have you've ran, you know, and like I said, if it didn't happen to you before, you've seen cars flipped in those dishs, so you know, those corners get really icy.
Speaker 5: Like okay, soyfore you slow down when it's not ice.
Why not do that when there is I we.
Speaker 2: Were having the conversation this morning and we're they're like, oh, you know, because when the melt starts, when the snow starts to when the melt starts to melt away, when the snow starts to melt away, everything turns to the melt starts to melt away. When the snow starts to
melt away, everything turns to ice because then of course that night, you guys know, if you live in snowy areas, and it freezes again and it becomes just sheets of ice.
Our roads out in the country are round it, and what I mean round it, they are have a dome to them, so the water tries to shed into the ditches on the side, and it doesn't hold water. It
doesn't always doesn't always work. I let's just say it doesn't.
It works most of the time for rain, but in the snowy things.
Speaker 5: The road is then between properties right right.
Speaker 2: So the problem with it is is you're at an angle.
Anytime you're driving on these country roads, you're already at a slant. So if it's got ice, the car just
typically wants to slide into the ditch. Anyway depends the
one out here. You definitely have a really good bankman.
So what you should do is you should if there's nobody coming at you should move to the center road.
That way, you're driving on the high part of the road.
You're not driving on the slant on the sides where it's rolled to go. But why do as I'm driving
I'm going, why am I the only person thinking of this because I'm driving behind people and I'm watching them not do it, and then I'm watching their vehicle get all kinds of squirrelling in front of me like that.
So I come back through. As I'm coming back through,
a pathfinder goes into the ditch.
Speaker 4: And flips on his side.
Speaker 2: So of course, you know, I instantly I don't panic breaks because I just going to. So I tapped my
brakes a couple of times, and by the time I got my vehicle stopped, I had kind of start to slide and I went past him a little bit so before I got stopped. So then I backed up and
I'm like, yeah right, He's like yeah, you know. I
was like, yeah, it's very slick here. He's like yeah,
So I see. But I think maybe because he thought
that he had a pathfinder, he'd be all right, full whel drive, he'd be all right. And I'm like, look,
I got a full wheel drop. I'm in full wheel drive,
and even within four wheel drive, I can feel a vehicle starts sliding around, moving around.
Speaker 5: Was it an older pathfinder? Was it a newer probably
like an eight or nine, So I mean it wasn't it probably wasn't sequential, right, It's probably he had a turn on.
Speaker 4: Oh yeah something.
Speaker 2: He's probably activity, but it's still forward like so which brought the conversation when Nathani Wild talk about He's like, well, what do you do in your four wheel drive?
Speaker 4: Well, I I turned my four wheel drive on.
Speaker 2: Anytime I can't in the snow, anytime I can't see the black assholet if I can't see it, I turned the four wheel drive on and I run with it.
As soon as I get to the point where the snow is starting to turn to slush and it's snow on the side, but I can see the path of the tires have made the way down to the black Then usually I'll turn my full wheel drive off and I go back to two will drive. Everybody's like, why
don't you run all will drive? You got an all will
drive feature, Well, it's not really good for Chevy trucks.
If you own a Chevy truck, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The transfer case is burning up stuff
run around it. So I just don't use mine. If
I need it, I switched to four wheel drive, and then when I don't need full will drive, I literally will come to a stop at stop light, go into neutral and switch back into two wheel drive, and then when the light turns green, of course I go and I do that back and forth depending on what the surfaces I'm driving on.
Speaker 4: That's just what I do.
Speaker 5: And if you get two and you know, into the thick of it, right, you can you use differential lock.
Speaker 2: Right to help get you to talk about that, he was like, so when do you think is should use diff locker or not? And I said, well, here's my
theory on that. My tractor has a diff locker in it.
I was like, anybody's stuck all the time, but it's first, you know, really diff lock is truly for slow speeds to keep yourself getting out right. And it's just so
I'm you know, for instance, like I was explaining him, I'm my tractor. It's a pedal, So I just push
down the pedal. It locks the diff I use it
if I need to get myself out of something that's a little stick you're stuck, and I that a little.
As soon as I'm up and out, I take my foot off the pedal and the diff onlocks and I just keep on doing whatever I'm doing. It's kind of
the same that applies when it comes to your vehicles.
If you have a diff locker and stuff like that, you should be using it for six situations, right, but you under twenty five, right, right exactly. I wouldn't try
to go on down the road really fascin and you'll burn some things up. I mean, just you just will.
And that's just way to design. But a lot of
people don't seem to know this, which is just mystifies me.
People can't figure out when you use all will drive.
Speaker 4: They can't figure it.
Speaker 3: I mean, you see him over here trying to attack me, right, we ship k and I put in we have a lock, but and I pushed the lock.
Speaker 2: But he thought I was four wheel drive.
Speaker 6: It says it says four wheel drive lock.
Speaker 2: Well no, no, it does not seem four wheel It shows four wheels and it says lock. Its four wheel
drive long work w D lock.
Speaker 3: I'm like, it drives amazing in this feature, so I'm I'm using it now.
Speaker 6: I did come to complete.
Speaker 2: Snack was turn I'm pavement.
Speaker 3: I was only using it for the snow, but anytime I turned it off, you'd feel that way.
Speaker 2: I'd be the first one to admit i've I've always been a hot rod guy. I wasn't always a truck guy.
Now I've owned trucks, but I never got into all the stuff with trucks. I don't think I was knitting great.
I don't think I was probably into like my mid twenties before I really started learning all the stuff about what all these features are for it right exactly? Well,
I knew features features, but I didn't know exactly what was the opportune time to use a different situation. He
didn't get at it.
Speaker 3: I put, I put the car and reverse. Yesterday I
felt to try to slip out of the driveway. I
put it back in park, and then I was like.
Speaker 6: What is this button for? So I looked it up.
I looked it up.
Speaker 5: Okay, is the only part part way just because you know, like most people don't know the extra kind of go along with the button.
Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 2: So people don't know difflocker Like most people have no clues, I know until I really looked it up, because it's not so we use all the time and people don't.
Only the people who truly know are four wheel drive guys.
Truck guys like that. They kind of understand you know
what that does. And I know people like, okay, so
I got friends who own four wheel drive trucks that have never put them in four wheel drive. Oh I
believe it. Ever, the big so the joke used to
be all the time was you might as well go get Like, if a four wheel drive system blows up on truck, you might as well go with a junk yard and go get it, because there's a like seventy to eighty percent chance that brings in never been used because people buy four wheel drive trucks and they never use four wheel drives. So the transfer case never really
true just for one if situation. It was always a
joke and it still is, and I can tell you I'll be honest with that still applies a lot in a lot of situations, not all of them, because use one of differential blows up.
Speaker 4: It blows up.
Speaker 2: But if you are a DIY guy, a lot of those DIY guys go and try to buy them out of the junk yard. Now they know what they're looking
for it, So I don't suggest if you don't know what you're looking for, you just go try to buy when you might as well let a shop do it and do it right. But for the guys that like
to work on their own stuff, that's a lot of times what they do. They also have the knowledge of
there's something simple like a baring or seal, it needs be replaced in it because it sat in the junkyard too long.
Speaker 4: They know how to fix that.
Speaker 2: If you get one and you don't know how to fix it with then you're you went out of the junk yard and you're sending them to go ahead and build it for you when you could have just rebuilt it was in it and saved yourself the time and money.
So it's a double edged sword. But like I said,
I just it mystifies me every time that we get snow or we get water or whatever that people just don't.
When I say water, people drive through high water and destroy engines and story transmissions. I'm like, well, this isn't
the first time we've gotten high water. And how many
times you've heard on the news don't drive through high water.
Why Because the transmission has vents on it and it works like a vacuum. As soon as you put the
vent underwater, it sucks water into the transmits. But we
also say don't drive in the water because you just never know how deep it is. Either. Absolutely, there's a
whole lot of reasons for it, but it's just like I said, it's just a no go. People are saying
the reason why because people are sending messages. You're like, oh, well,
you know, we're getting snow on our stuff. Our friends
in Florida sent us something and they got snow in Florida.
I was like, snow in Florida. What And I'm not
talking a little bit of snow.
Speaker 6: Told me I live in Florida, all.
Speaker 2: Right, So I mean, like I said this, so they if you go and look, and I think we're just so y'all know, it looks like we may get another one if the weather right. They're talking about end of
January beginning of February for another big Arctic blast to come through. That's gonna blanket the United States again if
it happens, so hold tight. And then they were talking
about that one being really really bad because they were talking about cars not starting and stuff like that because it was supposed to be like as cold as it's been for one hundred and twenty years, like you know, I mean, which is it's pretty cool. First of all
if you live in the Virginia Beach area or chest Peak whatever in the ant Roads area us to wake up and we've been you know, I woke up and I live in the country, so there's a wind show factor goes with it. But my temperature gauge is showing
me that it's sixteen degrees outside. That's something in this area.
In fact, usually in this time of year you can see fifty eight or three temperatures, you know what I mean.
So that's that's quite a bit. Everybody's like, oh, that's
nothing I live in. I know, you my friends and
my listeners that live in the north, you guys get minus temperatures, you know what I mean, which is good for you. You guys can keep that all right.
Speaker 5: Summer coaches around here, as is winter. We don't own
winter co.
Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't. We don't have any of those stuff.
Speaker 6: So we were talking about that.
Speaker 4: Well, it's funny.
Speaker 2: Because like two people today said, I never see you in a long sleeve and I went, well, you're right, because it doesn't bother me. It's just the temperatures, I said.
But I mean, I said, there was still like stuff falling off trees in the dampness. The wind too. That
really bothered me too much, just the wetness. I don't
like to get wet, you know what I mean. So
I'm like, well, I'm gonna put something on so I don't have the wetness on my bare arms. Not that
the temperature bothers me, I just didn't want wetness.
Speaker 5: Just saying more like the wind really does, you know, make the it feel a lot coore than it really is.
Speaker 2: But you know, I mean like, okay, here's another thing, pet peeve guys, just so you know, if you're not from a snowy area because you didn't grow up in that area and you don't know any better, do me a favor and clear the snow off your car before you stop driving. Stop being lazy, take it off the roof.
So when you're driving in front of me and that big chunk besides to let go, it's stopped smacking my vehicle with it. And then I you know, I want
to pull up next to you and bump you into the dish. I'm not eve gonna lie.
Speaker 5: I was definitely that guy today and we did not clear nothing off. He's like, we were asked if we
wanted to clear it off, and we were like, this should be good.
Speaker 2: Then just do me a favorite commic curacy, go and clear it off on that. No, guys, I gotta take
quicker shoul break. When we come back, we got some

Now back to your host Dave Polach.
Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back. So here's an interesting one for you.
You know, I've told you guys a lot about stolen cars, right, so we've talked about them at the manufacturing plants, or like running the gates with the cars, like they get they go leaving the keys in the car. What to do?
So the cars come off the semi plant and leave the keys in it. And of course it's supposed to
be guarded by security. But if someone breaks in the fence,
they'd go find like a big truck that was brand new made. They'd ram the gate with the truck, then
drive like the challengers and stuff out behind them so they could steal the cars.
Speaker 4: I mean clever.
Speaker 2: But that ring cut not all the rings, but those rings rings got caught. Well, here's like it's not new
because and I'll tell you a story why it's not new.
So they're finding where people are stealing cars and then hiding them in the woods and then using them as they need them. Right, So people like hunters are out
and they're you know, out there hunting and they're like what is this? You know, that's when they found twenty
twenty five trucks sitting here with some bushes on top.
Speaker 3: Of it, you know what I mean, Like that's noted all right, That's how they found that one dealership's trucks. Member,
all those trucks were taken. It was like ten years.
They were all part of the road.
Speaker 2: We wanted the hunters remembers, the diesel the semi trucks. Remember,
all the semi trucks were still and they found them out the woods. So I I've told you guys, I
think part of the story before. So when I lived
in Vegas, uh in Henderson, I say Vegas, but it was in Henderson that was a car dump and I knew about it because, like I told you, in Vegas, there's nothing really to do when your kids. So we
played out in the desert. It was just what we did.
We desert went lizard chasing and snake chasing, all that stupid stuff, and you were gone all day. But in
Henderson were days snake chasing, yeah, desert chasing. Well, you
remember like when you couldn't come back to the house until lunchtime and he drank out of the hose. It
was no particular day to catch that th Well, we caught a bunch of them. So we'd catch lizards, trantulas,
all kinds of stuff and put them in a bucket and bring them back. You know, you're right, basically exactly.
So there was a car dump that was really popular in Henderson and it was by a water treatment plant and they would steal cars and they would dump them back there. Well, that's where we went lizard hunting when
I was at my grandma's house.
Speaker 4: So it was very close.
Speaker 2: So you go there, and it like the thing for me to do because of me and a car guy, was to go see what was the new dump. When
I mean dump, there was twenty to thirty cars back there on any given time because it was a drop off like I want to say a cliff, but you'd have to see it. It's almost like an imperfection on
the ground where like I don't know, maybe water ran through it one time, but I dive it. It was
like fifty feet deep, you know what I mean, it's a little more than divot. So ground's flat and you're
just coming it's down and they just kept on driving cars and so they're stacked up, and I remember there was.
Speaker 5: Solay're just wasting them. They're not actually trying to sell
them or I think they're.
Speaker 2: Just joy riding them and then dropping them in that ditch.
And then you'd come back there and somebody had gone and clear the ditch out and it'd be like maybe one in the bottom of it, and then before you knew it, there was like another thirty inside there. Well
another thing once the ditch got filled.
Speaker 6: Who has money like that?
Speaker 2: Well, well they're all stolen. I was like, unless their
insurance claiming it.
Speaker 4: Right, So it got the point.
Speaker 2: I guess what would happen is if you got there and the ditch was full, I don't know, you know, there's nowhere to so they just leave them and they'd be like, so I can't count. I think I told you guys,
I came across cars all the time running and I'm like, they must been running from the night before, like they stolen the running and you go in their cars still be sitting there running in the middle of the desert.
So of course we were kids, so they were just big go carts to us. I mean, nobody's around. Nobody's around, right,
so we're just kind of driving around a circle, just let you know what I mean. We didn't go far
with them, but like I asked for forgiven permission. So
I'm like, it's not really a new trick to hide vehicles, like I guess in the forest, I guess you still.
Speaker 4: Hide them in the desert.
Speaker 2: Delert's a little bit harder because there's not a lot of brush around stuff like that. But in this particular area,
they had the I think not the Joshua trees, but they had these like big bushes and I can't worth they're called, but and they kind of blocked everything. And
there was a whole road that was all the way down by my grandma's house. So once you were on
the other side of those big bushes, you couldn't see anything anyway. And that's really really star tumbleweeds. No, yeah,
you get tell you.
Speaker 4: I saw more tumblewe's in Texas when we lived there, and I ever did in Vegas. I don't know why.
Speaker 2: I mean, well, that makes sense because remember in the old Western is a tune wee goes by.
Speaker 3: Just to get this correct, A stolen car was then just stolen.
Speaker 6: Did you drive it back to the same place that you took it?
Speaker 4: And we just drive around the desert and put it right back where we found him.
Speaker 2: And here's the thing why, princes down.
Speaker 4: We were so dumb because we didn't know.
Speaker 6: Because we were kids.
Speaker 2: We didn't think. You gotta think about you're like twelve
years old, you're not thinking about wiping princess. I wasn't
well because you guys were more Your guys generation is more advanced to think of all this stuff. Us we
were just like, oh, look at that, Oh look it's running. Hey,
let's take a lap in it.
Speaker 4: You know what I mean, a little put it right back.
Speaker 2: I remember one of the I think I told you so, one of the cool I think they stole take the seats out. It was like a sixty seven Volkswagen bug
and it was just sitting and running, but all the seats were missing. So we just went and we found
little seats and stuff, make our little own little seats I think, like a milk crate and.
Speaker 4: Some other stupid stuff so we could drive it around.
Speaker 2: We were driving that thing around with no seats in it to remember it. And then you like you go there,
you know they were stealing them to take stuff, because like you go there and the doors are we missing?
Or the hood we missed it, and the trunk we missed, and they stole to take those parts off it. So,
like I said, it's not exactly a new trick. It's
been going on forever. But I kind of get like
the whole their job saying yeah, I stashed them in the woods kind of makes sense to me. I kind
of get this, like because the more foliage around, the less you notice, right right, I mean, look at those wall It was Walmart Diesel trucks, wasn't it?
Speaker 4: Like some my trucks like that they had in Walmart.
Speaker 2: If I'm wrong, and I apologize, but I believe it was your trucks, and I'm sorry for you. But that
few alls trucks it was.
Speaker 4: It was semi trucks because the trailers and everything.
Speaker 3: Yeah, it was one of the big ones. And they
were hiding them very well.
Speaker 2: Too, they were, but they were all parked behind them.
And then somebody came across. But could you imagine a
hunter and you're like, you know, hunting Bambie or whatever, and then all of a sudden you come across like six brand new trucks just with bushes thrown over the top and mount in the middle of the You think someone just gets it to do well maybe, I mean, you're gonna get in trouble guard. Like remember the guy
that what he's steal like fifty cars and had him parked in his backyard and he was just using him like they were his and he finally caught him his whole backyard over like a helicopter flyer, Like because these cars cars he's got in his backyard and he's just out driving him whenever he feels like it, which I would, I guess I would have never thoughtbout I would never thought about the military like military. But please helicopter flying
over and going, what are all those doing back there?
Speaker 4: I would, you know? But now with droves.
Speaker 2: Stuffy of them. So it was very us the picture
once before I remember, and there was tons of them, but it was was Mercedes and it was all I think.
It was like a Corvette. That was all kinds stuff.
And it was in a regular neighborhood. It's not like
this guy was out the middle nowhere. Guys. He had
a fence around his yard and had neighbors and he just was moving the cars in and out of his yard as his convenient.
Speaker 5: Nobody saw him like drive a different car every day.
Speaker 2: Would you notice?
Speaker 6: Maybe?
Speaker 5: Yeah, I would you know, the gate every day and driving stuff and Brandy, I mean I'm gonna ask question.
Speaker 2: I mean, I'm a car guy, asked questions.
Speaker 4: And that's a nice car.
Speaker 3: Southern California, California. He had thirty more cars. Thirty luxury
cars were found. They believe he had more and it
was from like jaguarres bm Deracy.
Speaker 4: In the picture and showed me the picture of it.
Speaker 6: Here's the photo it.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm the full of it. Yeah, there's full. It
was full of cars. I think there was one Quarvette
back there too. It was like a ZR one or
something like that, which.
Speaker 3: It was two point three million dollars cars.
Speaker 2: Remember the ring that they caught that stole all the Challengers and they found it because the guy I remember the guy was posting online on YouTube. I think it
was of him doing crazy stuff in it, and they finally thought it when they found him. He had like
nine stolen Challengers in his possession. Of course, he had
two page with millions of followers.
Speaker 3: And that's what people thought was crazy because he had the money for the vehicle, but he didn't buy the vehicles sold.
Speaker 2: I have said this to you guys, like okay, I don't promote it, and I tell you guys all the time.
Speaker 4: You know where they do.
Speaker 2: There's different like nine different names for these things where they at the intersection and they do stunch the shows stickover takeovers and stuff like that. And I go the
guys that you see doing the takeovers with these cars, you seem smack into another car and they just keep on driving like it's not that it's because it's not their car. Of course they don't care. It's not there
smacking the cars.
Speaker 6: How about people crowd drivers?
Speaker 2: Right, No, no, no, it's not.
Speaker 5: Terrible drivers, period drivers, and they were driving anything else, they would have still spun out.
Speaker 2: I can't say it's definitely look Mustang. He gets a
bad name for it. And here's the thing I will
say on the Mustard, because I know my Mustang fans are gonna send me a bunch of hate mail, send it to Nathaniel at.
Speaker 5: I didn't say nothing. Really, there's really good driver drivers
out there.
Speaker 2: But the Mustang is overpowered for I truly believe for the stock setup that's in it. That's now you can
fix that problem. But we talked about it before. You're
gonna spend money to fix. No fun.
Speaker 4: He's like, at that, don't.
Speaker 2: Fun, let it be loose. But I truly believe the
car has just too much power for the setup. They
really need to redevelop. And then in the stand I
was like, well, you know you have a Magna track.
He's like, so that was supposed to fix some.
Speaker 5: There's more suspension wise, right, you're talking more about just controlling the back end so it doesn't reinforced in the back end.
Speaker 2: Whatever you gotta do.
Speaker 4: Absolutely, So I don't know.
Speaker 2: I look, once you get over seven hundred horsepower in a car, I think everything stuck should pretty much kind of go away anyway. And we are getting there.
Speaker 5: As you see, you know, every year that there's more performance cars added onto the cars are becoming stop.
Speaker 4: The box, like, once you're that kind of horse power, you should.
Speaker 5: Put something like if you like look out through like the other years, right and stuff like. As we time progresses,
we get more of the newer technology to kind of help make it more safe for those purposes we do.
Speaker 2: Okay, you know you get bigger break kits now, you know, be a perfect example.
Speaker 1: Right.
Speaker 2: So I looked at you guys, know I've had this itch to buy. I want the new Boss Mustang. So
when I sat and I started kind of building it. Uh,
And I told you guys about the place out of Ohio that you built. You can build yourself basically like
a supercar out of them if you really want to, and the money's not horrible on it. If you guys
haven't got a chance to go look them up, I'll just put Ohio Mustang thousand horsepower and I.
Speaker 4: Think it's Lebanon Ford.
Speaker 2: I think is the name of the dealership. But you know,
then you can build it up. But you do a
lot of stuff based on performance, but nothing's really done yet in the rear end yet. So now you've got
a thousand horsepower Mustang with basically the same set up in the back, and they haven't really solved the problem. Right,
It's just gonna go in a straight line really really fast into it breaks loose. It's just kind of really
what it is. But it's no here there. I mean,
at the end of the day, yes, you're right, technology is getting better, cars are getting better. But if you
truly want to when you get to point, like I said, thousand horsepower, as far as I'm concerned, you should start scrapping stock stuff and putting better stuff, better safety equipment, better everything. I got a thousand horsepower We're gonna start
building thousand horsepower street cars.
Speaker 4: Maybe they should have a built in rowbar in them automatically.
Speaker 2: Just because and not because of car guys like me.
For guys that go and buy a thousand horsepower car that never really been around a lot of horse power, and just to protect them, because we see these guys buy cars. You know, you see the shirt right, built,
not bought. But there's a lot of guys out that
are bought not built, and they don't really respect what they.
Speaker 4: Have or what they're driving.
Speaker 2: They just don't know what they have.
Speaker 4: They don't know, you know.
Speaker 2: I try to tell everybody there's a big jump from five hundred horsepower to a thousand horsepower. It's a big
difference in the car reacts differently, and people go on, I'm not really and then usually at that point is when I check out, and the rest of the conversation.
Speaker 5: Well, ye went from like three hundred to six hundred is a big jump from you know that people don't.
Speaker 4: Have right, Absolutely, it really is.
Speaker 2: So the best thing I'm can say is be safe, lock up your cars, make sure your stuff isn't get stolen.

Speaker 4: Hey, guys, welcome back. So you guys ready for a flash.
You knew it was coming.
Speaker 2: So we have talked numerous different times, in different ways about so many topics.
Speaker 4: I tend to forget half of them, but some.
Speaker 6: I do remember.
Speaker 2: And usually if I don't remember, Fred definitely calls and tells us and he remembers, said Fred. So we talked
about many times over the years, and I think I start talking about this, it's got to be seven years ago.
So everybody's like, ah, I guess you weren't right. I was,
but I was, And I'll be the first one a minute.
Speaker 6: I'm a man.
Speaker 2: I canna say when it didn't happen as quickly as I thought it was gonna happen. What am I talking about?
Speaker 4: You guys?
Speaker 2: Remember what I told you about the housey market and how when it collapsed, why it collapsed all of it.
There's some movies out there. I can't remember the name
of it, but the big shortage movie.
Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's another one.
Speaker 2: And I told you that the same thing was happening in the car market. Well fast forward, here we are.
It's a new year, twenty twenty five, and we are probably getting close. I believe to what's gonna be that bubble.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you've never seen anything that kind of alludes to how all that works.
So what happens in the car market, just like in the house market. Let's just say you have a job, okay,
and your job doesn't allow you to go, say, into a Mercedes because you just don't make that kind of money.
They get creative with the numbers and find a way.
And half the time, a lot of these people that do that, they know they're taking that car back. They
enough down payment usually which is right around tax time.
Enough down payment gets you in that car. Now they
know that you're not gonna be able to afford at some point time, and they're banking on it to make that car payment, and they're going to take the car back and they're going to sell. What the problem with
it is cars aren't moving the way they used to.
They're not selling us quickly. So now we're getting all
this abundance of cars the banks have taken back and they're starting to stack up. The way they try to
combat a lot of this to get people to take a loans is the same way they did in the house market. So let's just say that you have five
people in a room, Let's do six, cause's easy. It's
the you know, even number three of those people have really bad credit, but they want to get it. No
car and it's tax time, and they got three or four thousand dollars in their pocket. Card hold cash, So
cardhold cash, cold hard cash, cold hard, that's what it is. Yeah,
I'll get there, give me a second. So they'll hold
those people for a second, and then they'll find two good credit people they don't have to worry about, and maybe something one you know mid guy, right, it's got mid credit. Well, then they bundle that together and then
they sell that to the bank, to the bank to go ahead and finance all of them. So what they
do is they go, I could probably get a deal done.
And these are the bad people, but not bad people, but bad credit. They made some bad choices, the best
way to say it, and they hang on. They're like,
we're gonna work on it, and they'll keep working those people until they find the good deals to package it all together so they can then go, Okay, I have six deals we can write through your lending company, and three of them are bad, but three of them are really or two of them are really good, and one's mid where I'm gonna package all together that you have all six.
Speaker 5: And if you watch the Big Short, they kind of explain why they do that, so that looks better, has a better grade when they sell it to the bangs and stuff, and they don't realize that it is kind of full of all jumps.
Speaker 3: And they also talked about it. The show's called Pay
Up Buddy. It was back in twenty twenty two. We
did talk about it before then, but in twenty twenty two we really hit on it. So go look at it.
It's called back Pay Up Buddy, and it was on June eighteenth of twenty twenty.
Speaker 2: So now think about that. That's just six right, that's
just six deals. But then they keep going back to
that bank. So let's just say two weeks from now,
they do another deal like that. It's eight, you know
people they put together, right, and let's say four of them are bad deals, four more good deals, and they package that together and that bank buys it. Now, what
happens is that bank gets a bunch of that and then they're overloaded and they have too much. So what
they do is they take one hundred of them. They
package a hundred of those together, and then they sell it off to another bank. Right, every shuffle in their deck,
kicking the can down the road, right right, they're just kicking the can down the road. And what ends up hamage.
It's like building a foundation on sticks that don't match up, and everything starts to get a little wiggily, and it starts to sway in the breeze, and eventually that has to topple. And I've told you, guys, we keep on
getting closer and closer. Well, I was talking with my
car buddy and he was in because I check in.
I told you, guys are checking quite a bit because I not that I'm banking, and I hate for to topple, but I just know at some point it's going to the current rate. Right this second, people are ninety behind
on car paid ninety that's the average, ninety days behind on car loans. That are eight point nine percent car loans,
some of them all the way up to seventeen point twenty five percent because they had bad credit scores. The
worst the credit score, the bigger the percenters they paid.
And now the building of you know, the house of cars is really starting swash is. You know, it's just
starting to sway back and forth because the lots are filling up. So they have these storage slots and the
banks to hold their cars, and when they repulle them, you go to lot. Some repo lots store the cars
and they can figure out how to sell them off and get rid of them. But they're getting more than
they know what to do with and they can't get They feel like this is.
Speaker 3: Probably going to like start making some dealerships close though, because like we already talked about how you know, the online market was kind of pushing those where dealerships didn't have to keep as much cars on the lot. So
now you have financial problems, so now you're going to take some more cars off the lot to try to cover it, right, And I think what time the dealerships just start saying close.
Speaker 2: The doors and right now, because we're in tax time.
People get that money, they're gonna go ahead and they're gonna start buying cars. And they're dealerships, smaller dealership is
ones that are maybe a little shit. They love this
time of year because they suck up all that tax money and they still to get the car done. But
literally that tax money is to direct right into their pocket.
I mean, it's just the way they write those deals, and they are.
Speaker 4: Kind of shade ball. And not all of them.
Speaker 2: I'm just saying there's a lot of them, So here is and I won't name some of them, but I did some research. A lot of car companies who have
larger names to it, their requirements are really really small.
Like how much money do you think you need to make a year for them to get the loan done?
Take a guess. If you let's just say you put
three thousand dollars down on the year, how much do you think the requirement the bare minim requirement.
Speaker 5: Say below about fifty grand Anything below fifty your qualify.
Speaker 3: I think with twenty thousand, they could put you in a car with probably about a three hundred dollars payment a month.
Speaker 2: Were talking about new cars, you'll try to.
Speaker 4: Even use it can be slightly new, kind of more used.
Speaker 5: YEA, you say without I'd say like fifty grande, And then I would say what your credit score probably like low seven hundred, six thirty.
Speaker 2: Seven hundred is actually considering said low even low seven hundreds are still looking at those guys. That's so low
seven hundreds right now puts you in at if you find a good at about eight point nine, and then it tears down from there you get closer to the four to five hundred ranger a like seventeen percent.
Speaker 5: I don't know why you sign yourself up for seventy Carsple want what they want.
Speaker 2: The Apple cell phone theory, right, you know, I don't really need a new cell phone, but a lot of one.
So I go stand in line and I sawn up and I get the next new one, and I paid tons of money for it.
Speaker 4: Camera I mean so uh but.
Speaker 2: Even with that, still got my iPhones were going there, right, I.
Speaker 5: Feel like like the use case scenario for like an iPhone kind of doesn't simulate the same with like a car.
Like you know, there's not much differences when you upgrade your car to a certain You're right.
Speaker 2: You're absolutely right. So fifty one hundred dollars, I'm not
going to name some of these car companies, they're big ones.
Fifty one hundred dollars is the bare minimum you need to make. Fifty one hundred dollars. Fifty one thousand they're
funding like a twenty thousand dollars car it's like a three thousand dollars down, they'll get you in the car.
The problem with it is if you make fifty one hundred dollars a year, you're making the payments right, and so then you have to ask you like, how did you guys get that deal done? Basically, the guy had
eight eighty one hundred dollars, let's just ground and say eight that he had eight thousand dollars. You got him
in a car that needs to pay four hundred dollars a month. On four hundred dollars a month, fifty one
hundred dollars all you make a year, the numbers don't add up right, So you know you're taking that car back an anybody taking car they're banking to.
Speaker 4: Me, they're banking on taking that car back.
Speaker 2: And that's where Okay, you guys know, I don't like big brother involved in everything.
Speaker 4: I just don't. I mean, I don't think any of
us do.
Speaker 6: Right, But.
Speaker 2: This is something I'll take a look. I mean, because
it's happening to our youth. They are doing these deals
with young kids who just want what they want, and they're not thinking about the ramifications later on down the line.
Speaker 5: As well as they see everybody else's kind of following the bandwagon.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 5: It's like at a certain point, you almost don't have a choice. You know that you need a car to
get to a job.
Speaker 3: In that predicament, you don't need the best of thee.
Speaker 2: But even we don't, don't, you know, But everybody to get so they want right, Like I told you, guys, and I'm not trying to circle around people and just but there, I bet you I could still probably go to it. There was a I told you a McDonald's
where I knew that the manager, the assistant manager, and I don't even think that I think one was a shift manager. They're driving nice Mercedes. They weren't brand new,
but they were easily forty five thousand dollars cars and they were working Mcdonalds's. Like there's no way you're gonna
make those payments. But it was during COVID when free
money was being given away and all kinds of stuff, and I'm like, somebody should have stepped in, and somebody should have did something because they put these young people and I mean they were younger, they put them in these cars and they know they're never gonna be a paid once everything leveled. I'm like, they're never gonna be
making that car payment. I mean, I can tell you
right now, forty five thousand dollars car and you didn't have a whole lot of money out of your pocket, you're gonna be six hundred dollars a month car payment.
Speaker 4: I mean, it's just what's working.
Speaker 5: Of those checks where there were though it was too flood, the economy moving for all the wrong reasons.
Speaker 2: People used him for.
Speaker 5: That too, by the way, exactly there's good attentions, but people did use him for wrong reasonings to kind of you.
Speaker 2: Know, enjoy in the university. It's like like except but
the wants to want right. So it's it's one of
those things.
Speaker 4: Cameron gets it.
Speaker 3: You get, Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 2: I mean so he's like you, No, he gets because we all have we all know different peoples and different and people's people in different walk of lives who they whenever they drive.
Speaker 4: I don't really care what you drive. I told you
that thousand times.
Speaker 2: Drive whatever you want to drive, any hot rod that you think if you barely put it together, like the guy that show I told you, remember the guy that showed up at the car show that had the chevelle or yeah, the chevelle he was putting together. That didn't
you know it still was a work on The progress people are like you had a lot of times because they're like, man, I look at that, like you could see the guy was working on I.
Speaker 3: Thought the car is the one saying, hey, wait a minute, look at that, like he's actually working it was.
Speaker 2: It was literally it looked.
Speaker 4: Like Joe dirt at that point in time, like you could tell it was being worked on.
Speaker 2: It did well. I think about that car because it
was being worked on, you know what I mean, it was.
Speaker 4: Proud of what he has.
Speaker 2: That's the difference between being bill and bought right.
Speaker 5: Those that can enjoy understandabilding and those, as you know, are mocking it are those that probably just bought something straight up.
Speaker 2: It's one of those situations. So just know that I
haven't forgot about the conversations we had it. I think
we are getting close to here, ninety days the average ninety days behind on the car. Something's going to have
to give. What it's gonna be. I don't know. We're
gonna wait and find out. You're not gonna wait for
a commercial breakthroughn I gotta take one something. We right back.

back to your host, Dave Polach.
Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome back. So here's something that's probably gonna
ruffle some feathers for some of y'all. So, as you
guys know, it's definitely a Trump time. And Trump was back,
and with that being said, before all you guys start sending me your hate meal like you love to do when I talk about these subjects, because you guys know I'm not political, don't really like to get into it.
Speaker 4: You can hate me for a bunch of reasons, just TI.
I'm not gonna let you hate me for that one.
Speaker 2: But Trump is definitely moving forward with a lot of things, and it's going to affect the car market quite a bit with a lot of the terrorist is going to put in place. You know, we talked a couple episodes
ago about you know, how about trying to get some other models into the country right manufacturing right now. A
lot of that's going to change. I think a lot
of it's going to be for the good. You know,
I got a lot of message from you guys when you talk about gas prices. I know the gas prices
have been going up and down to be kind of crazy.
I went forty cent and jump in three days. So
four days before the inauguration, the price was down here, and then the day of inauguration I was paying forty cents more. And now I see this morning that it's
dropping back down again.
Speaker 4: I mean it's gonna be a.
Speaker 2: Drill baby drill situation for sure, and hopefully that ends up reflecting in price.
Speaker 4: If that makes you mad, well, I mean, I don't know how.
Speaker 2: To fix that for you, because you could be mad about all you want, but you'll still put gasoline in your car and you won't be complaining.
Speaker 4: About the price. Right.
Speaker 5: Well, something's got to get worse before they get better.
Oh well, right, well, I understanding, like you know, like with these tears being in place and stuff like, of course it's gonna affect us. We might feel the effect
a little bit, but it's gonna help the economy in a long run, so you might, you know, take it a little bit bad for a little bit of good.
Speaker 2: Well, here's a good thing about it is we're not gonna have electric car shop down our throat that if we don't want them, and that the agenda before was like I don't care if you want them or not, You're getting them. So now they're they're gonna roll back
on that a little bit. Now everybody's like, well, I
don't think so, because you know, el On Musk is involved, and he's gonna want to First of all, he once again tell you guys, thousand nimes, not car company, right takes company company. He doesn't care about those cars. I
mean he does, is only wrong, but that's not his reasoning behind it. Those cars are driving around collecting information
so they can build better technology.
Speaker 4: We're just the guinea pigs. They told you guys that
over and over again.
Speaker 5: So well, it's like everything, it's not about the product, it's about the tech inside of it.
Speaker 2: I think you're going to see a big change in America when it comes to auto sales, when it comes to part manufacturing stuff. And I hope it does better
because I told you guys once before, we can't get parts to save our lives. We are like now three
or four days into waiting for parts, and you guys know that the bad Am has been sitting forever because of part issues. And right right, right, yeah, So Cameron,
I told you he'd order me some parts for Christmas for the bad Am for us to put on. If
you want to know what it is, sequential tail lights.
I've been wanting them for a while and if you haven't seen a pretty cool mix the updated tail lights and they blink in different patterns and I'm gonna like this.
We're gonna stall that in the car they finally came in.
But what they tell you was like four months or something like that to get them six weeks.
Speaker 6: Six weeks, eight weeks.
Speaker 5: So it's because they build them on order, so it's not something to do, which makes sense. They're not going
to just keep them in sore in a warehouse and just you know, wait for someone to buy them. They're
going to build them as they need to.
Speaker 4: Which makes sense. So what's the is the NK Glow
or whatever.
Speaker 2: That guy you see all over the internet that builds different ones for all different types of cars, something like that.
I've seen it. So he's got a pretty good cool
website checked out a couple different times. He builds a
pretty cool setups and he kind is doing the same thing.
So they build them as you need them, and I mean, you're not going to build like fifty of them and then they just sit around because.
Speaker 5: Build Well you said, what when you're a kid that you built instrument clusters?
Speaker 6: Right?
Speaker 2: I did so years ago and I still think it would probably work. I designed two different things. This is
going to be the kids were you guys were born, So you guys were probably like one. I was building
gauge clusters, and you probably still sell really into arts and crafts.
Speaker 4: I was. It was definitely arch and crafts.
Speaker 2: So a lot of people want to change the color your gauge cluster to red, blue, green, whatever. So what
I did was I went and got a couple of gage clusters. I played around, I figured it out, I
ran wires and I had I made little circuit boards and all kinds of stuff where you could turn a dial and change the different color inside your gauge cluster to whatever color you want it. It cost me like
five dollars and ninety five cents to build them, and I was selling them for like fifty five to sixty dollars online. And you ask what the fluctuations, because that's
when eBay was really big. Everybody was buying everything. Any
Bay still a to be big. I just don't use it,
and I told you the reason why I don't because I had that bad experience once and I want any crazy people at my door. So but I was selling
them and it worked. While I was doing that, I
developed a secondary system that I built with a bunch of parts that i'd found. And that's when radio shacks
still had their catalog where it was like this big and you order a million things out of Radio Shack's catalog.
And there was a place out here called Norfolk Wire that had a huge catalog as well, where you can buy a callose parts. And what I did was I
had a lowered car at the time, and I didn't got tired of tearing up my front ground effects on it.
So I built a sensor that when you got close to the parking curve, when you pull in front of seven eleven, or you get close to a speed bump, if it was going to scrape the car, it made the noise, It beaped longer and quicker the closer you got to something that was going to catch on the bottom of your car. And I had little sensors and
almost so move forward basically backup sensors like you guys have now, or you have side sensor in your car.
It's that technology that I designed twenty years ago and nobody was doing it. And then I put him in
the front ground effect of my car, and they censored anytime I got ready to get close to curse when I pulled up, I didn't hit my ground aten. That thing. Well, yeah,
I mean I didn't think about it, but I stopped doing it because the guy that I was doing it with was is a good friend of mine.
Speaker 6: He just got a little lazy.
Speaker 2: I mean, he wasn't shipping him out quick enough. I
was starting to get some feedback reports through eBay, was like, look I paid for because they paid in advance and they were like I paid for this and I haven't received it. And I was like, hey, why aren't people
And he's like, oh I met. I'm like, already built them.
All you have to do is put him in a box and put a label on the ship them out.
The heart part's over right right, The heart part's done.
So I wonder about some of that when I order stuff nowadays, because I liked order through Amazon Prime. I
do like that ce you can find some pretty cool stuff and as he stuffed car stuff too that people built and some stuff it's just not all the market.
As a guy like me came with an idea and he's like, well let me see if the cells. So
I get some of that stuff. But I think that
now with all the stuff moving forward, a lot of Trump's agenda's going to push forward, and I think we're going to see uh, manufacturing start to hit back here in the United States. The problem with it is is
if you're going to start from scratch, right, and you're gonna build a manufacturing plan, let's say a parts plant, if they're going to build it from scratch, you're looking two and a half years, three years new construction. By
time they get it up in operational, he's almost out office.
So then you're gonna, you know, hope that the next person carries that on or well he.
Speaker 5: Did say that he continue it in Detroit. Well that
was a comment.
Speaker 2: Well, Detroit hasn't been Detroit in forever, right, I mean, it's just and look, my Detroit fans.
Speaker 4: I love you guys. You know, I'm all about wooldworre
to have.
Speaker 2: I'm you're looking for as haven't been car in a while because of the restrictions put on you.
Speaker 4: So I hope we take some of those away and.
Speaker 5: Right, but they do have buildings that could probably be reused or you.
Speaker 2: Know they do okay. So for instance, anybody who say
you're in the hamp Roads area remembers when Norfolk closed down there Ford Plant. Toyota was interested in buying it
and they were going to retool it and start making Toyota, isn't it. And then as they went back and forth
and they didn't work out, but you were like a year and a half just to retool that, you know what I mean. So, but it's better than you starting
from the ground.
Speaker 4: You know what, don't I get and I get it.
Speaker 2: I'll take anything that makes manufacturing parts easier to get whatever it is back here in America, I'll take take it.
If it takes tariffs to get there, if it takes some creative budgeting, marketing, whatever it is for us to get there, I'll take it. It's not political. Don't make
it political because I know what's going to happen. I
say it, and then you guys are going to start putting my inbox, and you guys know this is I'm just what's right?
Speaker 4: So what's right?
Speaker 6: Right?
Speaker 4: I need to get a hat says whatever's right for America.
I'm down with.
Speaker 2: Maybe I should make that hat because it's not a political thing for me and you guys always every time I'm like car shows and we start talking about this, it always goes in that direction.
Speaker 4: It's very early.
Speaker 2: So that's the reason why if you ever with me and you start talking about it, you see that I just kind of zone off.
Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh, look, squirrel.
Speaker 7: You know.
Speaker 2: I mean that's the reason why, because I'm just not interested in having that conversation with you because cars are cars and politics and politics and it's a car.
Speaker 4: Show, so you know.
Speaker 2: But I'm just saying I'm looking forward to the up and up the possibilities working across the aisles for better for cars. If it's better for cars, I'm all about it.
If cars get cheaper, very quicker. And yeah, by the way,
just so you guys know, I will tell you the windows are out of the Nova. Like I told you guys,
I am on schedule. It is going to the body
shop on Friday and it'll start getting painted. So start
looking for pictures of white noise.
Speaker 8: Uh.
Speaker 4: We'll start posting up.
Speaker 2: And for those who said, what's going on with the bad am Uh, we are still having problems. I'm not
going to say the name. We've talked enough about it,
but I'm sort having problems with the breaking company I think and some of you guys send me to some of your feedback on it last time from the last show we talked about it. I'm with you. I think
I'm just gonna rip everything off, throw it in a box, get my money back, and just go with a different breaking system because this, like I said, you guys know, it's been going on since March and we haven't moved forward.
The engine and the transmission sit in front of the car ready to be put in, and we're not getting anywhere.
And in reality, I'm getting another age older. And I'd
made myself some promises that this car would be on the road by the time I hit fifty years old.
I'm ready to be fifty. That's right, Happy birthday to
me soon if you guys happy bird presence. Then hey,
if Tesla, if you still want to send us the three teslas we're working for, this would be the perfect time to do it. Juston just letting you know, plasses right,
we've been waiting a while, I mean patiently. Wait. We
know you're a busy man, but we will take our teslas now, just so you know, better late than never.
Speaker 4: Absolutely so, like I said, uh, let's see.
Speaker 2: What happens and I'll wait for my in box be full with you guys, disagree me on that note, guys, We are getting close. Just so you guys know, start
marking your schedules. I know that Winterfest is getting ready
to come around. The schedules are starting to fill up
through the months. A lot of car shows are posting up.
We will post to the best we can of what we're going to be at this year. As you guys know,
a lot of time stuff comes into us last minute, and I agree, last minute to show my pretty face.
Speaker 4: Yeah that's right.
Speaker 2: When we know, you'll know. Yeah, yeah, when we know,
we'll let you guys know. But there is a bunch
of requests out there for start showing up things. The
emails are coming in and asking us, well we're going to be at this year. I do know that we're
gonna do a little bit of traveling this year as well, So look for us at some of those units. On
