Talk Cars Radio on w KQA Freedom Radio. I'm your host, Big DAVYP
hanging out with Cameron Chaos and NATEVB. Hey, guys, hope you guys
are ready for a great show. Yeah, that's right, we are actually
back. I know. I'll definitely say thank you to everybody for well wishing
me why I was out in a way on surgery. As you can tell
if you guys are actually watching on Facebook and you're not listening on the radio, or you guys are not catching up later on on podcasts, I'm still wearing my medical bracelets. Everybody's like, why do you still have those on?
And I'll tell you why. My wife is forgetful sometimes and it's a
going joke in this house how forgetful she is. So I still have my
fall risk and all my little things on is to remind her when she's messing around and joking around with me. A lot of times she'll reach out and
kind of slap me, like in the side when she's joking around, and these are these are to remind her not to do that because I still her and she tends to hit me right like where my kidney would be at when she slaps me in the side when I joke around with her. And so,
yeah, I left the one. I know, I made you take
off of your others and you have to go right back. I mean,
I have left fees on for a couple of different reminders of things she normally does around the house that involves me to not do the things that she normally does as a joke. And even they have not completely worked, Yeah they
haven't completely worked. But yeah, everybody to reached out and said get well
soon and everything, thank very much. It was unexpected surgery that I'd say
it was expected slash unexpected. I had a problem that popped up out of
nowhere, and then they made a quick date for me to have some surgery.
So I had some surgery done, and if everybody was asking, I had a lot. I know, a lot of people asked me, Hey,
what you have done? And I have a chance to get back to
everybody. So I had some work done on my kidney's to go in and
do some exploratory. And then they found some kidney stones before and they told
me they'd never be a problem, and they end up being a problem, and then they caused some other problems. So then they went in to go
look to see what was causing some issues. And so all that's hopefully taken
care of. If they put me back together, I still got some little
bit more work. It's got to be done. So I got some wires
and stuff connected to me back together with yeah, yeah, yeah, put me back together with some wire and uh so I got a little a little more stuff to do. But right in the second we're able to do the
show, which is great. It's nice, nice being able to get in
the studio and stuff. You can tell it's a little bit my voice and
that's just uh, they're breathing in and out a little bit of some of the pain that's associated with it. But we will make it through and having
a show. So yeah, anyway, we'll get on with it. Uh.
Funny I started to talk about before you had the show, we were talking about weird things like did you know lab Liberty? Did you know you
guys are playing that? Did you know game? And uh, Nathaniel,
we were got to kind of around the room before we came up here on the air, and it was did you know this? And did you know
that? And and all the did you knows? And there was some good
ones that we had in there. Here's what I have for you before we
jumped into some serious car talk stuff. But this one's car related. Hold
on, guys, I know this one's gonna be a little bit out there, but did you know I was holding this one because I was gonna tell you to get on the air. Did you know that it's Elite Goal?
And I don't know. I think it's two different states and I can't remember
this. Don't ask me to staying in you guys have to look this up.
But this one came across it's illegal and certain states to have sex and a car with flat tires. I don't know why flat tires. Someone can
tell me why flat tires. I know it's illegal to have sex in a
car, but in this particular with in this particular states, it's illegal to have sex in a car with flat tires. Now here's the strange part about
it. That already sounds kind of strange, right, flat tires. Put
that in, But it's right, it's illegal to have sex in a car with flat tires. And even bigger fine if the car has flat tires and
you're in the back seat. Even know probably what happened, someone would want
to crack down on it, and they were like, all right, we really needed to get after those people to have sex with people in the back seat. I don't know where Dates camera went. Camera looked at me saying,
hey, I want to go switch to Nate's camera. He's like,
I don't know where Date's camera go. But they're probably just like, you
know, we'll give it to you. And so only if they have flat
tires, right, it could be. I mean, it was there that
big of a crackdown where they had to have uh, like a law put in place. They're like, hey, we need to have a crackdown on
people, and it has to be on abandoned cars or cars that aren't abandoned and people having sex in them and people having sex with them with flat tires.
If they are a bandit and then we catch them in the back seat, then we definitely know, we definitely know something that's going wrong. So
there's a higher fine for that. That way we can say that we knew
there was definitely something really bad going on. Yeah, it's a little weird
law. Yeah, so you know what that's at. I was gonna have
cameraon. I know, camera's over there messing with the board because he was
having problem with one of the cameras. I was let him figure out.
I was gonna have him look up for me real quick. I'll have before
the end of the show. We're gonna look it up and find out what
statements. But I think it was two states. I'm not sure. What
do you know what the first US race? Miles per hour? Was?
That one race? The miles per hour? No, I don't know,
Cameron, do you know what race it was? I'm sorry I say that
question again? What race? What? What US race? Something? One
with the fastest five miles per hour. It wasn't the beginning of the Disco
US race. He's mystified. He his minds and computers and cameras and all
kinds of stuff. It's seven miles per hour. So the fastest they went
for the first race they had to be like in the nineteen something's car, like nineteen twenty two, twenty three. I'm not really sure. It had
to be like really slow cars specialist. Let's see, now you got me,
I'm looking it up. No, no, all the camera do what
he's doing. He was trying to figure out. Eighteen ninety five. Eighteen
ninety five. Eighteen ninety five was the top speed of the winning car in
the first US race. Anyway, So you guys ready for the Ryan story?
You guys? Are you guys ready for it? Yeah? I'm ready.
You're ready for it? All? Right? There we go. So
this is you guys. Have you ever been in traffic where you have it
all set up that you pull up? Okay, So if you pull up
to traffic and you just know that someone is going to do something stupid the light next to you, right, Okay, you know what I'm talking about.
Yeah, you just kind of you just know what's gonna happen, all right. So a couple of weeks ago, I was at the light and
there's there's a certain way that I go all the time. So I I
drive a certain whale home a lot, and there's a certain light that I come to where I don't know why they have it set up this way, but there's a straight lane and there's a turn lane, and the turn lane you actually drive through the intersection. Okay, and I kind of know why
they have it that way, but you drive through. It's a turn lane
and it's set up but you have to drive through the intersection and then make your turn. It's just the way that the road is set up that way,
right, And I could tell a lot of times people will go and pull into that turn lane. And when they have when they have the turn
lane set up, they have it. You go through it and as soon
as you come through the intersection, you make a left hand turn. After
you go through the intersection, because the lane, the straight lane that like I would be in, goes straight and that's lane next to me ends and you go left. Okay, Now everybody knows that lane goes left, but
it seems like every time you come to that lane, there's always somebody pulls in the left hand lane and tries to speed down the left hand lane, which is a turning lane and dead ends and tries to cut everybody off to go around. I don't know why they do it, but they people.
Since you wish change a lane, I don't. There's probably got to be
another solution for it. Okay, and but okay, everybody it drives that
way. Basically, if you're driving that way, you drive that way all
the time. You know that that lane is a left hand lane, you
know that that lane goes, and you know that that lane is a left hand lane only. So if you're going to that lane to try to go
and cut people off, then you're just you're an idiot. I mean,
I don't know, I don't know an other place way to put it.
So, because you drive that way to go home, I know if you're on that road, you're going home. For the most part. There's no
other reason to head out that way unless you're going home or you're going to visit somebody, and it's not your first time driving that road. So I'm
sitting there and I watched the person that's in the left hand lane next to me, And I'm like, either he's really hurry, in a real hurry to get through this light, or he's in a real hurry to try to get something like it's something not smart. So I'm sitting there and I'm watching
the lights still red, and he just keeps on inching forward, inching forward, inching forward, and I'm like, oh, this guy's gonna like try to cut me off. Now. First of all, let me start by
saying, I'm not in a very slow car. Like, Okay, I'm
not in a race car by any means, but if anybody knows anything about the new cameras, they're zippy. They're not slow. Now, once again,
i'm gonna say it's not a race car, but I didn't buy it because it's slow. I bought a pace cars. Like it's a pace car,
you're supposed to stay up with it, right. So now, also
keep in mind that I'm not gonna try to race this guy. I'm just
not. I I'm not you know, I'm I'm just not going to Although
you are supposed to take a left hand turn. No, it wasn't like
one of those. I'm gonna start by saying it wasn't one of those.
So I go and the light turns green and I accelerate or way from the light. And as I sell accelerate way from the light, I don't turn
my head. I can see on my purple vision that the guy is right
alongside of me. Okay. I'm like, okay, So I just go
along. Now his lane is ending, is ending. I don't give it
any mind to the fact that it's ending. Now I go all of sudden,
his lane's ending, and I look over and he's still alongside of me.
I'm like, now, he should have been on his brakes a long time ago. Once again, the camera is no slouch. It will get
up and go when it needs to get up and go. So I give
it just a little more gas. I haven't wrote speed on me yet,
by the way, So I give a little bit more gas to speed up to allow this guy to bed and behind me. Hmm, not this guy.
This guy doubles down and the size of I hear his crap box next to me wind up as he decides to double down. So I just literally
to tell you how much of a crap box he was driving. And I
could say another word, but you guys know what I mean. I literally
just flicked the pedal with my foot and the camera went what left him plenty of room to slide in behind me? Oh no, no, no,
no, he doesn't want to get behind me. He what sounds like to
me, throws it to the floor and is still riding on my quarter panel.
At that point, there's no lane for him anymore. There's just no
one, no no lane there. We are now going to be going to
the oncoming traffic lane. He is at any point that he's gonna try to
go around me. So as I'm driving, I'm cruising along and I'm like,
what like? And then I looked to my right and there's a crazy
person on the right hand side of me who's just screaming along. And at
that point, that's where I'm gonna have to hold this story for you guys.
Here the rest this I gotta take a quick mercer break. When I
come back, I'll tell you how the rest of this story goes. You're
gonna want to hear it all tight. I'll be right back. You're listening

your automotive specialist. Now back to your host, Dave Palatch. Hey,
guys, welcome back to the show. So if you guys were during
the first segment, I'll tell you guys about the little segment called wrong Turn Ryan, bring you a little up to speeds. So gosh, Ryan,
Gosh, I don't want to turn Ryan. I don't know because it's just
seems like it was the right name. I knew a guy named Ryan used
to always make bad decisions. So that's why I'm calling wrong Turn Ryan.
I didn't want to say, though. Again, I know that we made
it in the first segment and made a comment about it. At least.
If you guys are still waiting on Facebook messages to be replied to, we are still replying to everybody, so just give us some time. Yeah,
definitely, So anyway, wrong turn riding. So where was I in the
story? Oh, that's right. So I looked to the right of me.
There's on the ride of me. There's somebody over. They're screaming on
the ride of me, like engine screaming, like thankful enough that one was only my wife on the ride hand side. So Dahn's like, what are
you doing. I'm like, I'm not doing anything. I was like,
I am in that. Look, I'm sorry, but when I am driving
my car, let me let me drop my car. Look, let me
hear's in my car, like it's Michael, I get it. But camera
drive, there's nobody else in the car. I've made sure your seatboats on,
and I've made sure you're at airbag work. I'm like something like my
biggest question to camera sometimes is that like do you like are you trying to like cause something? And my thing is always like preventive measure, right,
So it's like, why why crash your car up if you can if you don't have to, you know, saying, but cameras like right on the guy's tail, I'm not but I'm not. I know my breaking dish man.
You know you follow too close for me, Like you literally follow way too close for me. I'm not gonna lie like there's a thousand times I've
ridden with Cameron and his closing distance is just it's it's too much, too uncomfortable. Here's the thing everybody's gonna say, Oh, it's dad, it's
because you're getting a little old. No, because I can still drive like
no, And these two will vouch like when I want to drive, you all both say I can drive. When I still want to drive, I
can drive like I can still drive. I can whip that truck like it's
a race car. If I want to drive. I just prefer not to
drive like that anymore. It's not that I've lost of skills. I just
don't drive like that anymore. So that kind of that puts a little bit,
you know, of emphasis on this story of driving. I wasn't like
trying to like haul butt or anything like that, or keep this guy like, you know, keep this guy down now in his mind, I don't know, maybe he thought we were going to race or something. I don't
know. I didn't have to do anything. If you're listening. And here's
the reason why I say, if you're listening, so as I once I go and he realizes that his little crap box. And I think it was
a Ford something I don't know. I didn't really get a good look at
what it was. I just tells you how bad it was for him because
I really didn't get a good look at what it was. It was a
Ford. I think it was like a crossover or something. I'm not really
sure. I'm not. I think. To tell you how much I paid
attention to what it really was is once it was behind me, I thought I saw the Ford, the logo on the front of it. But and
the reason why I and I'll tell you the reason why I wasn't really paying whole bunch attention to it or why. So I didn't have to really do
a whole lot to like stay in front of him, like you know what I mean, like to stay him out. I was keeping the car in
my lane. I didn't need to do anything like I'm just keeping the car
on my lane. I said. All I had to do is really blitt
the But like I said, the cameras, I'll keep in mind, we have one of the nice cameras that's to step down what from the TRD.
So we have a nice camera, but we don't have the packages. Yeah,
we have like all the yeah it's and this is you know, all sports tricked out model with you know, nice wheels, you know, so it's it's a it's a nice one. I didn't do anything really much,
like I said, I only had to blip the pedal really one time.
In his mind, I guess he thought that once the thing rocket it forward that last time to give him that distance. Like so, no, I'm
just trying to give you some distance before you really seriously hurt somebody. Because
now you're going the oncoming traffic lane to try to go around me, which seems really weird, and you're still haven't cleared my quarter panel, which is just stupid on your part. But anyway, besides the point, look,
all of us dotle things and that what's talking about you to talk about here?
And I'll tell you the reason why, you know, there's a couple of things of this story, the reason why I know a the things that I know, and be the reason why I think stupidity is really even stronger in this in this one. So he's finally the size of swinging behind me,
and I look up my room mirror, and of course, you know, I get the you're the number one finger, so which I'm just like whatever because I looked down and I'm we're not going to a huge rate of speed, you know what I mean. So it's not like we were flying
or anything like that. It's just your accomplishment to cut everybody off. Besides
that, there's people behind behind us, even further back behind that, and so you had to cut in between the you know what I mean, Like all the things you had to do to be stupid, you know, applies to that all things did wrong, right, all the things you had to do wrong. So and it's like, could I have slammed on my brakes
and kind of let them go? And yeah, I guess I could have,
but you know, like I'm not gonna just slam on the brakes and they got the people behind you, and I'm just not doing all that stuff.
So anyway I proceeded, I'm doing well. Here's the thing. There's
also there's ditches on both side of the road, so you know when you get to that certain point, So I'm like, I'm just gonna do exactly what I'm supposed in my car. I'm gonna maintain my lane and whatever stupidness
you're gonna do is gonna be your stupidness summer parts, right, absolutely, So I'm not being so you remember I told you guys, I'll live out in the country. So as we continue to head away from the city into
the country, the roads has become like I said, narrow and stuff.
And as we go through the turns, like I said, his crap box.
I go into a turn and when my car goes around a turn really nicely. So as I go around the turn there, now there's a big
distance between us because I've gone into the turn and I don't have to break really hard to go into a turn, and obviously whatever he's driving over yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, he has to really slow down a turn.
So as I go through a turn, I look and there's huge distance between us of the course. Now we're ninety miles an hour to catch up
back up to me, like makes cars a boat going into the right exactly.
So that's why I think it was, like I said, I'm kind of looking at it. I think it was kind of a cross, some
type before crossover. But it's like every time I go into a turn,
we go into the turn together and I come out of the turn and he's way far back there after as we come out of the turn, and then of course as we get a straight away, it's ninety miles an hour to my back bumper again. And then we go into another turn and I look
and there's a huge distance between us, and it's ninety miles an hour back to my back bumper again. So I'm just like I never saying and now
I never say anything too. Hold on, I never say anything to my
passenger, you know, I mean because we're already like already had asked a million question what was going on the first time? So when he gets ninety
miles an hour to my back bumper, and now I can't see the logo on the form of the car. That's why I saide, I think I
got one glance, kind of lies as I halfway paid attention because I don't care. I'm driving like my road, I'm not paying attention like you know,
it's we're going to the country roads. I'm not paying attention what you
what you're doing behind me because I really don't care. As long as you
don't bump me, you know, we don't have no problems. But as
I look up, I watch the driver's window come down. Now. I
was young once. When the driver window comes down, I already know what
you're up to. That's right, I already know because I was young,
and I already know the stupidity of the stupid things that you're going to try.
Number two way, I want to suggest that. Right. Well,
here's the thing, so Ryan, if you're listening, because I'm gonna call you wrong turn, Ryan, there's a couple of things I like to tell you. Number Number one. A, we're driving the old back country roads,
right, so the chances are you're head at home or you're head at to a friend's house. I'm want to say you're head at home by the
time of the day it was. So we're going to cross paths again,
because nobody really has a reason to take the old country roads unless you're head at home on those roads, right, or if you everybody everybody everybody, or you're traveling those roads to your friend. That's right. So that's number
one. So we will cross paths again again. So that's stupidding me dumb
things on country roads because people cross paths and your car kind of does stand out with you. It was kind of a you know, plus size guy
with a beard and those things I did see in the car because I was paying attention. By the way, I did get your license plate too,
just so you know, Well we'll go that far. Let you know,
because I do pay attention to some things. But that's a whole other thing.
So Ryan, Ryan, So I think it didn't really check out what kind of car you drive because I didn't care. But I I didn't get
the things that were important if you guys never listened to show you guys, do know that I was a detective at one time in the private field.
So anyway going on, and I did manage to get all the important things that needn't need to get. But here's the thing about it, buddy,
When you're wearing your work uniform and you just happened to be like in a technician outfit, it means you probably work for a car place too. Not
very smart. Do let anybody see all that kind of stuff while you're driving
and doing dumb things? You know why you're driving. So Ryan, you
probably made some really bad mistakes this day, and I was suggested you probably should not make those in the future. You know, I had a chance
to put a sticker on my car to represent this show, and there's no no here. So here's where Ryan does dumb things. So let me tell
you how Ryan gets stupider. So Ryan decides that when I finally do get
to where my turn off is to go down my other country road that belongs to me, Ryan does decide to go ahead and throw something from this car.
Now ryany glad it didn't hit my windshield and I heard it tink the street and then hit the rocker of my vehicle, because your aim is as good as you're driving. But I did hear it. And if you guys
don't know, and you never listened to me talk on this show before, did you know I know that if you throw something from your moving vehicles, And do you guys know how many years that puts you in prison for?
Because he's in jail. It could be up to twenty years. It's a
projectile from a vehicle and can put you in prison. And they don't mess
around. If you all think I'm kidding, go look it up. They
can put you in prison for almost twenty years. I had a friend who
found himself in a case just like that. He made a very bad choice
too. He wasn't a Ryan, but he definitely was anything else you can
put a name to that made a bad mistake. He had somebody throw something
at his car, and he, in return, like a dummy, threw something back. The problem was something they threw was very small, and nobody
saw them throw the small item. I think they threw change like Ryan did,
because I think what Ryan threw was some change out of his changeholder, because Ryan watched you dig. I was I was paying attention enough to watch
you dig and what looked like your center console, Bryan, right as you're rolling down your window. So I'm pretty sure Ryan it was changed. And
h this person, also for my buddy, threw some change at his car, and of course you can't see change uses it flies through the air.
My buddy, however, was stoopid enough and grabbed a slurpy out of his cupholder and threw it back at the person on the freeway. And then he
almost went to prison for a very long time because of course all the witnesses saw him throw the slurpy because it's very large and everybody can see that, right, I mean, yeah, Soil did not know. He did learn
something today on today's show. If you throw something from your car, at
another car. It's a projectile and it will put you in prison, not
little boy jail, It'll put you in big boy jail for a very long time. Did you know you're not out of wear headphones? Why you drive
while you drive? Yeah, somebody told me that to You don't want to
know why because you can't hear the emergency vehicques, that's right? Yeah?
Yeah? Or did he not know that? That's the reason why Apple actually
put it where you can. I have the option on my phone. He
tells me all the time. If I'm driving down the road and somebody yells
screams, or if there's like a siren, or if there's a baby, sends me a notification of my phone and it says it says, please look around, sirens detected. Or if there's a baby crying, it would be
like, please check on kid, baby crying. Yep. So what did
you guys learn today? Don't be here Ryan, So yeah, I just
think it's kind of funny that people What always is maybe find really interesting is is people who do the dumbest things in traffic when they're on their way home.
That's the way you take home, You're gonna pass those cars in traffic again. You are how many times are you in traffic? You see the
same cars all the time in traffic? I see all times. Oh my
god, there's that car again, you know. I usually it's because they
got spare tire. They've had on it for a long time. I'm like,
there's that car with a spare tire. Man, it's on it for
two months. Cannot believe I haven't changed that spare tire. I see it.
See the same cars over and over and over again. So I'm sure
we'll see wrong turn Ryan again and uh or they had child on board.

best experiences I've ever had. Bob has been there for us from beginning to
end and treated us just like family. I'm telling you you've heard me talk
about this because it has been one of the truly best experiences that I've had.
If I did not choose Bob, I don't think that I would have all the best things to say about building this house. So if you're looking

Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist. Now back to
your host, Dave Palach. Hey, guys, welcome back to the show.
So we were talking about wrong turn Ryan but here. So it's funny
how that whole little episode right like spins into a completely different story. So,
like I said, I didn't really have to do much with you know, read the car as far as like getting past like yeah, I mean like it was effort effortlessly like like I said, I literally just blipp the pedal. But it brings around to buying the right car. Right. So
I've had a conversation this week briefly, like I said, So, you know, I surgery, So I've been kind of I wouldn't say you incapacitated, but I haven't really been in the mood to talk. Well, it
hurts, hurts the tucks in the beginning, it's a little better. Yeah,
yes, you answer all my FaceTime cars, but you didn't answer any boats. A lot of people try to call me, and a lot of
people tried to call me, and I called your passenger passenger, So you know, it's it brought me around to the fact when as far as by that. First of all, that's not my car. The camera doesn't belong
to me. You know, I bought it from my wife. It's her
car. She drives it. I don't drive the car a whole lot.
But the only time we really I really drive that car, and they can acknowledge the fact as if her and I decide to go somewhere and I don't want to take the truck. Ninety percent of the time, we take my
truck pretty much everywhere I drive, and then she just drops a passenger into the truck and we go. Every once in a while we take the car
together. Most of times, she just drives the car and the car sits
here. You know, the car just doesn't really go anywhere. We bought
the car for her to drive, and she doesn't really go whole places anyway.
I can't drive it. But he doesn't like tiving because it's got to
me bells and whistles and tells you how to It corrects his driving ninety percent of the time when he drives, it grabs the wheel from me. Well,
like I said, it will drive itself and correct if you're not driving correctly. So he doesn't like it the fact that does it. But one
of the things about the car I find funny is is in this instance, it reminded me of the fact that when I want to go buy that car, to sell me a car is not very easy. And they can attest
to the fact that selling me a car is not an easy thing to do.
I think dealerships can attest to the fact I'm a little hard person to sell a car too. I can tell you right this second, if you're
going to sell me a pickup truck, you might as well have a full day free or or make some concessions what it means because I may show up to the car dealership with some fishing poles in my hand and a tackle box and we're gonna make a day of it. Because if I'm buying a seventy
thousand dollars truck from you, I want to make sure that seventy thousand dollars truck can do everything I wanted to do. And one of the things is
I'm want to go fishing, or i want to go four wheel driving or whatever it is. We're gonna make sure that truck can do every single thing
I wanted to do. You're going really cool, salesman. I mean,
I'll take you by the house so you can change your clothes. But I
mean, we're gonna make sure that truck can do everything I wanted to do before I commit to that truck. Uh, the camera. When we took
the camera, we took the camera. We had it quite a bit for
some time. But one thing about the camera that I did was is we
took it, and we we did a good shakedown on that car. Not
to say that I ever plan on me driving it that way or ever thought she'd drive it that way, But let me just tell you, the camera goes all of one sixty all day long without a problem, and it gets there pretty quickly. That car is when I said the car is zippy.
It's zippy. It will get there very quickly. It runs really good.
It's very smooth car. Now do I promote the fact that anybody should drive
like that? Absolutely not. I don't think so. But I couldn't do
that. It could. So I got myself a rent toward to be able
to do that I did my last everybody goes, well, why do you need? You know, I've been asked this question a thousand times, Well,
why do you need a car that goes so fast? You don't?
The answer that is, you don't, but they gave it to me.
But I'm gonna answer that with one one little caveat to that is, I'd like to under no, no, no, not even that's funny though under most circumstances. But what happens just hear me out, if the sky's falling,
if aliens attack, or you need to get out of like world dominated have you guys seen Twisted Metal and the TV show Let's just do that's funny, by the ways, And here's okay, not to get off sidebar on it. I'm gonna get back to that. Hold on. I'm just gonna
say, I think there's some more stuff that they could do to it.
There's just some there's some more stuff that they could do it. But it's
it's here's the thing. Just in case one of those situations I'm about,
I want to make sure that the car has what I need to get away from whatever he is I need to get away from. So when a car
salesman wants to sell me again. When I go to the dealership and the
salesman gets into the car with me, if it's a car, I usually this is I'm not kidding either, guys, I mean all fun and games.
It is funny. I usually look over at the passenger seat and I've
make sure I've clicked him in, and make sure he's clicked in pretty good because we're going for a ride now. I won't do it on really busy
streets. I will find the appropriate place to take him for a ride.
But I hope that A he's got a really good sense of humor. B
that he doesn't scare easy see. Maybe he's got a clean pair on.
He's gonna need him. And we're gonna really text the limits of that car
before I purchase it. And it doesn't matter what kind of car. You
can give me a Honta Civic, and I'm gonna let you know. We're
gonna find out exactly what a Honta Civic can do. I mean we are,
ye, Nathaniel knows because we know everything his Civic could do. But
before we buy it, non't matter. We're gonna where You're gonna find out
absolutely what that car can do before I purchase it. And like I said,
rather it's a car or truck an suv. You better if you want
to truly sell me a car. You we're gonna find out. He's like,
by the car, and I am gonna reach over and just grab a hole your seatbelt and just get a nice little tug. And that should all
to give you kind of what kind of indication of a ride we're getting ready to go for. And like I said, and as long as you can
hang on and you have a really good sense of humor and and and you don't scare easy, you most like you're gonna sell me a car if that's the car that I want. If not, well then I don't know.
I've had some really good salesman over the years that they get it. The
guy who solds the camera, I mean, he was like, let it rip, potato Chip, let's go. I mean, and we did.
I mean, I I pre warned him. He was like, I think
afterwards he got a little better idea of what I mean. But I don't
think he truly I don't think he's had anybody in the car like me in a while. But we put that car through its paces. And but I
did buy the car. I didn't buy it that day. I did buy.
I came back about the car, but I did buy. When you
dropped him back off, oh dude, he had a blast. He hadn't
anybody doing anything like that with with that car that he's been in. But
we had a good side. Probably can't do it. No, we let
it rip. I mean, we took that car for a ride. We
would put it to the corners. We did everything. We I mean,
we drove it like it was a race car and like we stole it.
And I mean, and that's one of the things made me buy the car, not because I thought we'd ever in a million years do that. You
see that? Seen the commercial for the Twitter camera? Right? Have you
seen the commercial? I don't think so. So the commercial starts off with
the car coming from one side and going like here here's the camera. It's
like like the slides like as it's coming into frame and then starts heading towards you didn't know Pops recorded that scene. The only thing I wish that the
one thing I wish about the camera is and if I was going to own it as my daily driver is it was real drive that's the only thing I wish about the camera. It was real drive. It was a daily drive.
That's not a little drive. Nope. Really that's the only thing.
It's the only thing. All wheel. I think they make all wheel to
drive a model. But like it didn't matter when you're buying it for Dawn,
so it didn't matter, like I said. But it's it's justify a
little car to drive, Like I said, it's like by all means for the car guys to listen to this show. Let me just set it straight.
No, it's not a race car by any means. It's not a
race car. And no, it's not super fast by comparisons to a whole
bunch of things that are out there. But for something you're gonna put your
wife in, or that you're gonna jump in and take your wife to dinner in, or anything like that. Dads said, the little car, he'll
get up, it'll go and he'll drive, like I said, And if you put it to the floor, you you're over a hundred in a flash.
I mean, the car will get up and go like like is nobody's business. For what it is. It's a great car to drive and has
all the features that you need. That's the reason why I bought it for
it, because it's everything that she needs. Like I said, if I
get and drive it, I'm comfortable driving the car. I don't feel like
I'm driving like you know, like a Turing Sedan or you know, or just something that's just like ah, I feel like it's right two jis I'm a little better than the Civic. I'd say, it's way past the Civic.
But you, I said, who want to hand me the keys?
Let me have a test drive at this, I said, I mean, it's no different than when I bought my truck. I bought my truck.
You know, I knew what I wanted. I know exactly everything. I
had it and then I mean I went four wheel driving. And the truck
before I bought it one price and one price, right, I was only gonna pay one price and one R camera is still stuck on that because but like I said, and I put that truck through the paces, and I had that truck up over one hundred miles an hour before I ever bought that truck. I want to see what that truck would do. I mean,
like I said, and I was I beat on a four wheel driven.
I mean, I took it off road and we went climbing stuff with it and all I mean like I said, I mean, I they say, selling me a card not easy. But as long as you let me play
with them, you letting you sit and be quiet. I don't don't mean
to be rude, but look, if you want me to buy it, I really think they should have demos out on the lot that you really can play with. Yeah. Well, my thing is like when they're trying to
show you the car, It's like I can't really get a feel for when I'm in the car of myself, right, or you just can't do everything that you wanted to or get a feel of it because they're asking you a bunch of questions. They're trying to give you the specks in the car,
which you know, some people don't know that they feel things. We have
all of these dealerships powed onto one one of the top of another. Right,
why don't they all come together and just go to track the deerhips.
I'll tell you Toyota. When I worked for Toyota, Toyota had a track
that they built. Three different times. I got to go to it.
They built this big every time they come out with something cool and new, they would build these tracks and then they'd let us, as the salesman, go drive it, drive the track. And when I mean like you got
to it was up in Willam's were two different times that we were up there and we really got to play around. Like so they had an awesome track
and stuff like that, and we really got to play around, have fun with the vehicles, uh and really get to see what they did. And
they would some limits, but they there was limits. But I would say
we got to have some fun and placks. You play around with them to
the limits they were, and it was worth it because then it made us believe in more and selling the vehicle right, And I think if they did something like that, maybe you'd have to have a dealership had big enough space for it. Though, well you had passion for the car, right,
You had passion for it, and I think people would buy and with a passion too. You guys hold that note. I got to take quick meership
Breakwinko back. I got some more for you guys who want to hear it,

Transmission. Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio. You're Automotive Specialist. Now
back to your heart Dave watch. Hey, guys, welcome back to the
show. So it's kind of funny. I always have to laugh about the
different stories that we get into and stuff when it comes to the show.
Just know, if you if like I said, if you're trying to sell me a car, you you know you're in for a little bit of a ride, and you need to have a full day available. Maybe maybe not
a full day. You have a good time with me though, we can
go fishing, catch a lot of fish. Truck anyway, I think car
dealerships should only put one fourth of a tank of gas in their car gas No, so you run out of gas and it gives you a reason to have to go back to the dealers. So we're filling up. I'll put
gas stop and put gas in it. There's no doubt me. Sir,
excuse me, sir? Does this Does this thing take a premium resisting take
regular? The guy's gonna be like, I'm not cheap. I'm not cheap
at all. I'll put gas in it. I don't care. I'm just
saying, like, for sure, I don't know. I'm I'm from person
to sell vehicle, dude. But one of the things I've said before,
you guys heard me talk about it, I don't like doing paperwork at the dealership. I'm just not into it. Once I decide I want the vehicle,
you'll hear me say something like I'm interested in that vehicle. Send send
yeah, the facts that he knows, but the old days of facts.
Just to send me over the paperwork whatever, center over to me in a document, and you document whatever and let me look it over. If I
like the price, I will go ahead and I'll sign it and I'll send you the document back over. And if you try to send paperwork with the
wrong price to send the vehicle with the wrong price, I'm gonna catch it.
So anyway, I got some like stupid stuff. You're ready for this?
Yeah, did you guys see if you guys can't watching the news, I'm a news dog. Obviously we have a radio show based on news.
But well it goes goes without saying, right, do you see the auto unions are starting to talk about striking, And before you know, I know, I have a lot of people listen to the show from all different industries, so I know I have you out there from the auto's industry. I'm
not saying which you guys do is not I'm not saying what you guys do is easy. But I got a lot of friends that were in the union
before the Ford plant here closed and all that kind of stuff, and I watched him go through all the trial and tribulations that went with that. So,
uh, don't get me started on a whole kicker with that. But
they're talking about striking, and they want thirty two hour work weeks, and they want more money and all and all the different things that they want.
I want to caution my friends. I just I just want to caution you
guys. I understand that there's parts of the job that are hard. Like
like the friend that I had, he he's he spray painted door jams, I mean, and he used to bragging me all the different times. I
just stand there and I just sprayed door jams. That's what I do.
Is he didn't think his job was hard. And I'm not saying the one
that you have is isn't hard. All I'm just saying is I remember him.
We were young and just you know, made really good money at the time when I was still you know, I'm good money too, but still, I mean, I I was still figuring out, putting my plan together and anchoring myself really into things, and he was already right there. So
and it was, you know, it was always the thing within the group of friends and all that kind of stuff that was always a talk way.
He works at the Ford plan Well that's great, but I just I really want to costion you guys, And I know, you know, I'm talking to a small amount when it comes to what three hundred and twenty thousand people into that union side of things, that's you know, it's a whole lot of people. That's not a small amount the people maybe listening to the show
versus the amount of people into that union. So you know that maybe you
know the amount of union members are listening right the second verse, they amount that's in the union. That's yeah, you guys, every one of you
guys are listening. Yeah see, there you go. But I'm just saying
I want to those that do list, and I want to costion you guys when it comes to when you guys are making your decisions and stuff like that.
Remember what has happened just recently with all this, first of all, with AI technology coming out the automation side of things, with AI being to be able to connected with that, it's we're in a scary time and I just think that people aren't thinking this all the way through. And you know,
we just kind of went through this with fast food kind of side of things, and we see now that there was a huge leap in AI technology with fast food and automation and how now the fast food places are all going to be automated. Looking, man, they are pushing for it all to
be automated where they don't need anybody, and people are like, wait a minute, it's gonna put us out of work. I just can't see us
not heading in that direction if we just keep just keeps on putting their foot down and demanding I want to work less. I want to have more time
at home, and I want four day work weeks, and you know, I want more money, but I don't want to work as much and all that kind of stuff. And like I said, we all want more money.
Everybody wants more money. I get it, I understand. But if
we keep pushing this narrative for more money, more time at home, and look, I think it's great, don't you guys know I preach it all the time on this show. You know, spend more time with your kids,
you know, turn off the TV. You guys hear me say it
every single week. But I just think we're at that crossroad where we just
need to be a little bit more cautious with what we say and how we say it and how we demand it and how we get there and what avenue and what roads and what vehicle we travel to get to where we're trying to get to, because I just don't think we're thinking about that all the time.
Of how the technology is getting ready to take a huge leap in technology, and I think we're gonna get very quickly to more computers. We already
taking machines. Yeah, the technology is there, but I think a bigger
leap. Think about it if you take if you take parking garages, the
AI parking garages, right, take that technology and mix it with a service center that gives you your capability. We get it, we get it.
It gives you the capability to get the cars automatically from a line to the bays. Then you have a machine sitting there that just scans the car and
it tells you what you do. You're inside on a Taco Bell restaurant screen
clicking I need breaks, I need tires, and I needed oil change, and you're sending the information if you guys didn't see it. And we talked
about it a little bit, and the technologies out there, so there was a setup for automatic auto garages already that for just doing like oil changes, doing tires and all that kind of stuff where you basically go in and have an automatic oil change done. It can all be done. The car can
be brought into the garage and can we set up. They put the car
in the air, they can take the tires off, they can put new tires on the vehicle, off the shelf, on the rim, redo it, balance it, align it. So there's already like this car, So
there's a whole set up for that. So if you can already kind of
start doing that stuff, I imagine assembling vehicles could be done a lot of the jobs. I'm not saying maybe to every job. Maybe so every job
could already be done in that capacity. So, like I said, I
just i'd walk lightly. And I'm not telling you guys, what do I
understand. I get it, like I said, a lot of us want
to spend and get paid more money, and like I said, everybody wants to spend more time at home. I get that aspect of it. I
just think, like I said, with technology, like I said, I think we're really getting getting ready to take a huge leap into technology. And
would that being the case, care for what you wish for? I don't
know. I just it's the news is stupid on it. Like I said,
you don't hear a whole lot of squawk because there's a lot of other things that is in the news right this second, on the big side of news, but a lot of these stories are coming on the back end, and a lot of stuff that we pick up that's you know, I always say, you know, we pick up the stuff that's twenty eight pages back in the news, but it's back there at one of Some of the bigger stories seem to take, you know, the bigger sections of the news where people are talking about, you know, what's going on with China and what's going on with murderers and serial killers and all that kind of stuff seems to be the big page stuff. This stuff seems to be there a little bit
as well. So interesting, Yeah, it's gonna be interesting. The other
thing I thought was funny and some of this stupid stuff in the news this week, somebody sent me the story about the self driving car that couldn't it's kind of funny. You can't determine the fact that they are putting down new
concrete on the road. It just knows that's a road getting no to stop
because that was wet concrete so it just kept on driving right into the concrete.
You know, they put up little cones, but you know what I mean, the car didn't recognize the fact that the cones meant don't drive on wet concrete was sinking. Yeah, what's got a guy standing there kind of
you know, he's stand off the side and he's doing his little hay stop and I guess there's somebody at the other end tell and stop, but they're not standing to the point where the car has to stop. So I just
kept on driving right into the conc Hows the technology replaces the jobs for those people, We're gonna then open up new jobs where now we're gonna have to be the people to update the technology and went right back to jobs, and we were talking about cars and concrete. You still have that on your money?
I did? I did, I really did. I really did.
Like he's like I'm talking about it's like he's like, he's like, my brain froze on jobs. I'm talking about, Like the jobs that are going
to come out are going to be the jobs that are It's gonna be the people controlling and telling them like, hey, there's concrete there, and they're gonna now have to tell the cars, like the projects that are going around them, to be able to technology. I get okay. So he's trying
to put the two together. He's like technology and how technology advances with people
building cars. Now you can have to have the technology of cars being able
to realize there's concrete. Okay, I get it. I understand the bridge.
Now, I'll get it. We'll get there. Maybe we're driving I
do. He's like, here's like maybe. So yeah, So I guess
cars aren't as smart as we think they are. That's one of the other
things. So then you have stupid news. Here's another one of those things.
You guys see the Bentley hum Vy commercials. So you got the Bentley
commercial, right, you have good You got a blonde girl in a Bentley and she's kind of like rubbing the car and she's like Bentley and she's doing all this other kind of stuff. So everybody start making If you haven't seen
it, go look it up. They're making all these memes of this guy
the soldiers in a hum Vy and every time she did something to the Bentley, he did it a hum V. He's like, Humvy. So she
goes to start the car. She starts the car. She's like, clicks
the button. It starts up very quiet, and she looks over at the
camera. She's like Bentley and he goes name of the Bentley beads over to
him and he goes and clicks one of the buttons and he's like, hold on. He's like, humpy, He's gotta wait a second because there's a
delay, so you're never about a hump. You gotta you gotta wait and
you gotta it's gotta shu. I thought it was kind of funny, but
I was laughing at myself because it's been been a minute or two since I've been in one. Like usually turn it on and you wait for a second
and then you start it, and that's the way it works. So it's
not it's not. She went to go rub the steering wheel with all her
showing off her nails and everything. He comes over and rubs the steering where
he's like, yeah, it's funny. You have to see it. If
you guys haven't seen it, go check out the commercials. Like I said,
there's a there's a bunch of memes you'll find it. There's tons of
them that are online right this second. For it it's pretty funny. It
made me laugh and like, man, I don't know, I like stupid.
It's funny though, so it's kind of funny. No, guys,
we gotta go ahead and get out of here. I can't. The show
went by so fast. Hopefully you guys are enjoying your weekend. Get out
