Big davyp hanging out with Camera Chaos and eight VB. It is Saturday.
What a great day for a car show, a radio show. Where we
are, it's kind of wendy where it says that we're gonna start getting some rain around here, but the temperatures are good. I could say that if
the rain comes in, we are supposed to be out at the car show at Lanstown today. It got pushed until tomorrow. So if you guys are
listening and you don't know and you didn't see and you're wondering what happened, the show is tomorrow from two to seven out at Lanstown. We will be
out there. Yeah, because wind and potential rain doesn't mix with car shows
here. But that opens up the case for if you guys were supposed to
be at the car show and you guys were trying to get over to Ethan's place over at sound Wave Customs for the big huge sale apocalypse, now you have no excuse, you guys, some can get over there. If you
guys saw yesterday we were first in line, that's right, we were first a first in line. Hey, I was, I was right there with
you. Okay, we were first in line, and uh yeah, so
now you have no kicked us out. He told us we were too early.
Yeah yeah, but now you can get over there and you can get all those savings there there until seven o'clock. They started at ten today,
So there's a lot of different stuff. I know that Cameron has all the
plans in the world. Actual we get off the air to get over there,
and try to cash it on. He's got some stuff he wants.
As you guys know, I told you that my Chevy is giving me problems with the touch screen, so I have some things I gotta do as well.
So yeah, get over there see him. All kinds of stuff going
on over there today. You guys do not want to miss it. Like
I said, we're trying to beat two places at once. It's kind of
hard. So yeah, now, if you guys are trying to be at
two places at once, get on over there and check it out. Like
a lot of stuff going on over there, and once again car show pushing until tomorrow. Big huge event is the kickoffs for the season. You guys
are not gonna want to miss it from two to seven over at Lanstown Common.
If you guys are in our area, I know everybody goes, hey Dave, we listened to you in California. It's not like we're going to
drive from California all the way over to you guys in Virginia. But you
could have, I mean two and a half day drive. You could have
packed up the family and drove over and came to a great car show.
But yeah, so make sure you guys get your butt out there tomorrow.
There's gonna be a lot of good stuff, an event, and hopefully it's weather clears out and we're good to go. But it looks like so far
on the radar, we are good. I want to give a big,
huge shout out. You know, I've had a lot of our listeners and
stuff kind of been keeping me up to date. I know we have had
crazy weather across the Midwest, a lot of different tornados and stuff. So
for all of my listeners that are listening in the area, and it covers a wide spread of listeners for us, I mean going all the way up through Arkansas into Illinois, our heart goes out to you guys. I know
you guys have been buckling down and have been tornadoes everywhere and stuff. So
please please be safe. I know we are not done with this crazy weather.
You know, as I was watching yesterday and people having a hunker down yesterday again and looks like weather going through some of the area again today.
Um, please please be safe. Um. I've you know, I've I've
checked in with people and heard what the weather is and you know, and I've been following it and uh, it's just absolutely crazy. So I know
I'm upbeat all the time and I always have that positives in my voice, but I do one understand what you guys are going through, and uh it's pretty nuts. Having lived in the Illinois area and know what it's like when
a tornado comes through, Um, it is uh just uh it's crazy.
And and I've I've been through that. I've been in quite a few tornadoes
situations in my life, and I know it is, uh just very stressful because you just don't know. So with that being said, we're gonna move
forward, try to have a great show today. But yeah, let us
let me just let you know our our hearts are definitely with you guys for sure. Um Hey, you guys, check out some of the news stories
this week and get a chance to see some of the craziest stuff that's going on out there. You guys see that that video where the Kia Soul got
hit by the tire, Do you guys get a chance check out that video?
Yeah, So there's the if you guys haven't seen this video yet, there's a tire that comes loose from a vehicle and the key of Soul like hits it dead on and it just it works like a ramp or I mean, was that the one where it was like some insurance isn't going to believe my story? Yeah, yeah, it's it's like, I mean, I've
seen some tires came loose and do some damage on the freeway, but this one like hits it in the vehicle just flies up in the air like it was a ramp and just flips up in the air. And I mean,
like I said, I've seen some crazy tire loose videos before, but this one's pretty us If you guys haven't seen it go online. You think if
you just typing keya flies through the air, it comes up instantly, And I mean it was look I've seen I think we talked about it was like two years ago or soul camera when the when I was driving in the the lawnmarks came loose off of the the uh the yard, you know, and they're just like I mean, we're talking the big huge like lawnwards like one was a side by or not side by side, but a zero turned and one wasn't driving and the guy just kept on going like it was nothing.
I mean, like I think we even made a comment was like somebody's going to tick that up. No. The thing about it was is like I
literally made the comment of like from Twister the movie, and I was like tractor Like he was like, cal you know, I was like another tractor, you know, I mean just because it was it was like there was a tractor and then there was another tractor, and it was like you like, how do you how do you not know? Those are missing? Absolutely?
And then I caught up to what lawn care company. I knew it
was their equipment, and that guy was just like driving on down the road like he didn't even know they were missing. I was like, how do
you not know they're missing? So you've heard the story of people missing trailers
and stuff where they make it to their whole destination. You don't realize that
a trail word, how do you not realize? You're like you kind of
would feel the extra weight, you know, especially when it's a big trailer, like the extra tug on, like you know, not realize you just lost. I don't know. It's funny say that because I saw a video
it was like a Monday that somebody sent over to me where a guy lost the construction trailer, like a huge construction trailer and it had like some funny little thing to it, and it was just like departing here or something like that, and it was like exit ramp here, and the truck went and the trailer like went off the off ramp without him, and somebody somebody sent me that video. Y'all sent me some of the craziest things. I love
the fact that people sent me over things. But yeah, I was like,
the truck went one way and the trailer went off the off ramp and like the trailer was getting it though, Like I mean, like it was like I never realized, like I've seen videos before, but that trailer was a big like tongue trailer, so it was like a big construction trailer and it was getting speed. Like I was just like, holy calico fass,
I think it's going And it went off the off ramp but then it went off into a field and just kept on getting it and I was just like, holy cow, that thing's that thing's all moving forward. Yeah yeah,
yeah, it was like it's moving. It's definitely moving. So yeah,
I always some of the videos y'all sent me, like I said, they're they're I want to They're hilarious for us to watch. But then I think
about the fact that like the aftermask for the person that actually happened to and I'm like, funny for me, probably man deal with Yeah, I'm like, not so funny for the person that probably has to deal with it, you know, especially some of the ones that people send me where cars have come loose and like, and then you have to think about the aftermath and the damage and the money amount. Like, uh, the one the guy
sent where the two Labborghinies that one's floating around now, the two Laborghinies were damaged, and I was just like, he's I think he's a car transporter, and I'm like, oh, I could not imagine having to call your insurance coming to go, well, I was transporting these two Labborghinis and you're not just calling the insurance company, You're calling the owners and going so no story. I think the very first person I'm calling is gonna be my insurance
companies. Wait when I when I make that telephone call, No, no,
I make that telephone call to the owners. I'm like, I've already
called my insurance company. They've already assured me that everything's gonna be okay.
I'm not especially if they're Lamborghinis. I mean, yeah, well here's the
thing, Lamb to pay out Lamb Lamborghini's ther nowadays. I mean, if
you all notice, like the prices and some of the supercars are starting to come down a little bit. I mean like, yeah, the hype isn't
really there anymore what it is, but like I mean you can before though, remember when when you go on YouTube and you see Lamborghini every time, I don't look yeah more expensive than them. Here's the thanks. So some
of the prices of cars start to come down. So I was given Nathaniel
kind of a hard time because you know he's still looking for a car.
So I said, I'm like fourteen cars this week, like like you can't see anything now, I send them. All these cars start rolling through them.
I mean a couple of them looked really nice. They all of them
have potential and the prices are right because I noticed the prices is starting to fall not to them. He's like, if you like a smoked out look,
if you like, you could add rims to this one. And just
because I want to make sure he could. I want to make sure he
can addition. What you can do to cars with tanned her and I was
like, you know, I'm not gonna buy something. I knew it.
I knew it. I the awful list. He's like, I'm looking.
He's so busy. I'm looking for red guts, not paint lower down to
the ground, has to happy and w somewhere on it. That's how.
That's how I know you don't know anything about what I like because it doesn't had to be a lowered and I'm not looking for red guts, just you know, black interior, clean, look tanny, dirty's up and stuff.
It's a harder game. I knew when I started. I knew when I
started setting him cars. I did send some cars that had Tanning Tier,
and I was looking at him like, I know he's gonna see inspect it's got Tann tier. I don't want it's got Tann tier. But I wasn't
looking at every single car that had Tantier. I was looking at like the
miles. I was looking at what car it was. I was looking at
how many miles it has on it. Yeah, he's car tender. That's
what he is. He's car tender. Dan's cartender. He's like swipe,
swipe, swipe, that's what they do. That is perfect. That's what
we ought of, like create cartoner reaches, creat cartenders, we create car tender for Nathaniel because but I sent a bunch of cars. But I was
just looking. I was like, this price is good, the miles good.
I was looking at the cars. The cars were in good shape and
stuff like that, and I was like, okay, because I know he's like in between wanting to buy a brand new car and spend a lot of money, or let me go ahead and buy something that's got some miles on it that's in good shape, and then I had to spend a whole lot of money and I could do a couple of things to it and I wouldn't have a whole bunch of money in it. Right, So that's what I
was looking at. The polar opposite spend no money, get a car,
spend a lot of money, get a car and have a car payment.
Maybe it's like, well, and that's love. The difference is right.
And so if you spend say what average cars forty five K, and so you're gonna spend forty five with something with zero miles hopefully, and then hopefully that's gonna last few, ten, fifteen years. You know, gotta worry
about it duty maintenance used with you know, fifty thousand and sixty thousand miles or something like twenty k half the value and stuff. Or you can go
the next then the next step and you guys something with about one hundred thousand miles on it. Yeah, yeah, there is, there's cheers, it
is. But a lot of stuff I found you, you admit, was
the prices were good, the cars were in good shape. And then what
I was doing is I'll put them notes. I'm like, okay, just
envision this one with lowered a little bit, a set of wheels on it, smoked the windows out on it. The car looked kind of cool.
That way. You could have this car for probably about another five to six
years, you know what I mean, at this dollar value, then it's worth it. Because that's how my mind works. So that's what we were
doing. Okay, Right when he was sending all this, remember you still
got to finish your chams. Look, you only spend the most time helping
him build this car. You got your own process to work. Gone.
Yeah, but no, I mean I found you know, and then I said him one that was actually really cool, I said him, one I was like, Okay, you could buy this one for twenty five thousand and it's already got a lot of stuff done to it. Yeah, but then
it was automatic, and I'm like, looking at automatic and manual conversation.
It is it's the automatic manual conversation. But then at the very end,
I said him like four manual options that were manual. Because I already knew
I know him well enough to that, I was like, okay, I gotta set him some manual options to and throw those in there. So I
sent them some manu options and then I told them what to do to those cars too. I was like, you could do this to that car,
this is that car, and it'll look kind of cool. And the prices
were good on them, so and I sent them price ranges from I think the highest was twenty seven all the way down to like I think five no, no, no, I think it was down to like nine grand.
I think I went like nine grand to twenty seven thousand. Like it was
like different tiers or cars. It's gonna be a store, we tell our
kids, yeah, remember it. So if that kind of tells you guys,
the market is starting to come back around on cars, I mean it's they're out there. Um, you know, if you guys are starting to
look, you can start to kind of look around and know that the car market is starting to kind of fall around. If you guys haven't been paying
attention to what's going on and some of the car market, especially with Carvana, you know, I told you guys, that's starting to kind of that's some interesting stories with inside itself. Uh, they're out there. You just
kind of kind of had to look. And you're gonna do your due diligence
and be patient and make sure that you're looking at some of these cars because some of these cars popping up there's some issues with them and I've looked.
You know, you'll see a car and the price is right, but then when you go into the description you start look it's needs this, may need that may need that. You guys have to really kind of look and know
that the car needs some things or may not need some things and stuff.
Then you got to make this decision. I've always told you any used car
you usually buy, it's gonna need at least about fifteen hundred dollars for the work. So keep that mind that you know, if you buy something you're
just going to put a little bit of work. And it's just about anything
you buy, you use, So you know, make sure you're within your price range. If you're at the top tier of your price that you're buying
that car for, you know what I mean, you gotta leave that room to know this is probably gonna be a little bit of work. Every used
car needs something. They're not going to sell you a car that's had every
single thing done to it. You're gonna have to put some money into it.
So make sure you leave yourself some room to know that you're going to put a bit of money into it. If not, you're gonna be a
little bit disappointed. And I know, guys, I gotta take QUI commercial
break. When I come back, we've got some more for you. Hold
tight, We'll get to it and I'll talk to you soon. You're listening

That's seven five, seven four six or one thousand and three. Welcome
back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist. Now back to your
host, Dave Palach. Hey, welcome back guys. You listen Let's Talk
Cars Radio. So Cameron's got this crazy thing. He has us doing why
we're doing the radio shows. So he's like, hey, I want to
try something different. I want to play Hangman while you guys try to do
the radio show. So he's got us playing hangman, why we try to
do the radio show? What's between? Apparently he knows the answer, So
it's between Nathaniel and I and uh, it's the hardest word, the hardest word, hardest word to guess. Even if you have it doesn't matter how
many letters you have. The word could be sitting right in front of you
and you would never guess. You never guess what it is. Did you
find this online or something? Yeah, okay, that's play every day.
I'm all right. So we're trying to figure out what it is why we're
doing why we're doing the radio show, and it has to do with music.
So we had to try to figure out what it is. But I
already guess what the first letter or the second. I guess one letter already,
my first guest, and it's it's the second letter in it. So
it's now Nathangel's terms. So we'll try figure that out. Why we're trying
to do the right If you guys forgot already, sound Wave is hosting a sales so give me a favor and bring up this on that. But uh
so, yeah, so we're gonna try to figure that out, all right.
So here's something that kind of came up, uh this week, and I was curious. I wanted to see what your guys's um take is on
this. And I know we've we've kind of had a lot of difference um
conversations over the years on this, but so I don't know if you guys saw or not. There was a story that came around this week about a
girl that's I believe she's sixteen if I got a my notes say that she's sixteen and she got pulled over, and I guess what ended up happening was when the police pulled behind her for whatever reason. And I'm not going to
insert reasons. I'm just going to go with how the story was presented to
me. She decided to continue on until she got to a street. As
she says, there was a little bit more lit before she pulled pulled over from where she was originally lit up when the police officer activated as lights.
From my understanding is either the police officer didn't like that that that I don't know with it how far the distance was between that from the time he lit her up to the time that she pulled over to where it was more lit up, but that aggregated the police officer or just made him think suspicious of her. Whatever it is, whatever whatever transpire between these, and that just
made the situation go worse. I guess from everything that I'm reading in the
transcripts that was sent over to me. So I guess my question is to
you all, what's right and wrong in that situation? Now, I every
time I get one of these, and you guys know me by now, I don't try to make a light of things. But I do make a
light of things because I find comedy and a lot of things that are sent to me, and there's not that there's any comedy in this, but every time this comes out, the very first thing I think about it and is it Super Troopers where he's like pull over and he's like, I can't.
I'm already pulled over, you know what I mean, Like I think of that scene. You know, you remember that scene, and I think of
that scene are like every time, and I don't know what makes my mind go there, and I start to giggle to myself, and I know it's not a laughing matter. But I have had situations where I have the lights
have been activated, and I look where to pull over, and I don't want to pull over right there because I just don't feel that the safest place to pull my car over, and had the police officers try to get in behind me right there, I don't think I'm thinking about his safety as well.
And I know that might sound weird, but I truly am like, Okay, this isn't the best place to pull over for both of us to pull over to the side the road. There's not enough room whatever it is.
And I have advanced forward and sometimes it's may seem like a further distance, but I'm looking for a parking lot to pull over so I don't have him on the side of the road, or I'm looking for a space that has more space for us to pull over so we're not sticking out in the road, And maybe that seems like in the police officer's mind, I'm doing something in the car and I'm trying to conceal something within that time. I
can understand where their point of view comes from. Look, I truly,
truly, honestly get it. And I have asked this question time after time
after time again, and I've never got a real answer, even for my police friends. And I tell you, you know, I have for a
lot of friends in blue, and I've asked them, I'm like, look, what is the right way to do it? And even they have not
being able to give me a real answer, and genuinely like, we are friends. So I have asked them like, oh, yeah, what is
the right situation? They're like, it's just, however the situation presents itself
exactly the answer I've gotten back. They're like, you know, when you
get ready to pull over, and you know, you realize that maybe they're not enough room and stuff like that. Obviously, you know there's really nothing
wrong with moving forward, But then it's the interpretation of the police officer that's behind you, and that's the only opinion that counts is what's being told to me. It's gonna be his opinion how he interpreted what you were doing.
So the reason why this story is important is because the rest of the story goes. I guess that that was not the right decision in this circumstance by
that police officer's actions. She ended up getting pulled out of the car.
I guess she got from her story side. There's two sides every story,
guys, So keep this in mind because I'm not goodyms down right, and I don't know if I don't know if they were rolling. That's a third
person view into it. It does a non biased right, right. So
she's in an up area, so there's most likely going to be camera.
I hope that there are around that. I hope that there is. I
truly hope that there is bodycams to go this because the story gets deeper from her perspective. She was yanked out of the car, she was slamming on
the whole of the car, she was handcuffed. There's a lot of things
to go into this, and I have a feeling this story he's going to play out pretty pretty deep. Okay, um, But I have been guilty
of this as well. I have advanced my car sometimes some distance until I
found what I thought was a safer spot for both of us to pull over, versus leaving him stuck out in traffic where he's gonna have to try to dodge traffic to be able to come up to the window of my car.
So I too, have truly been guilty of doing the same thing. Remember,
And I'm like, why he pulled her out of the car. Okay,
So here's the story my understand Like I said, the story was getting me, so I do have some of the facts. She was leaving work
and forgot to turn on her headlights, so she was driving without her headlights on. First, whatever reason she had didn't have the headlights on. As
my understanding, Okay, me too, I've been guilty of that. We
just had that happen. Yeah, so uh my mom, Yeah yea,
And I thought about the same thing. My mom just had the same thing
happened when she went out to dinner with the boys. The car as you
guys, remember I told you guys. So that's what brings a story kind
of full circle for us. Uh. The car went to the detailer and
was detailed, and they turned the auto headlights off, So the daytime running lights were running, but headlights weren't. And then and my mom had no
clue because she saw the daytime running lights running, thinking that they rolled a little bit of the headlights, right, you see a little bit of light, you think that they're on. So same situation. Could you imagine having
a seventy two year old lady yanked out of the car because she didn't have headlights on. I just that's where some of this kind of for me hits
home a little bit as I hear the story, and I'm just like, Okay, I don't know, guys, you know what I mean. Like
I think, like like I was telling you guys before we even brought it to the air, I mean, I think you should put on your hazards, Like if you are going to pull down like this whole story, there's something wrong if there obviously you know, right every story where I've pulled up to parking lots and see, the one time that happened to me was when I got left work. So I thought it was funny you said that she
left work. And because of the time I was leaving work and because of
the area it was at, they thought I was at a bar right and had like me surrounded by officers, and the first question they asked me was, well, why do you pull into a parking lot? How how much
have you been drinking? I'm into a parking lot because we're not even going
to get into that. I put into a parking lot because I saw all
the officers behind me, right, I turned on my hazard lights to at least let him know I see you behind me. I know now I'm gonna
find it well, trying to find well partner spot where I also know there's cameras in case the body cameras apart, I got you because I definitely know I wasn't doing anything wrong. So and here's the thing, just so we're
clear, because every time we have like these topics come up because they get sent to me and I'm I don't you guys know, I don't avoid topics.
I in no way, shape and or form, am like was messed up or on the side of like you know, the blue versus the people or anything like that. I'm not that guy, never have been that guy.
I just respect everything that the police officers do out there for us.
I go to a lot of the events that support the police officers, uff like that. So I'm not that guy. If you're looking to blast my
email with it turning into you know, let's stand on this side of it and stuff like that, please don't because I'm just I'm not that person.
I don't I don't run in that realm of people. Um. I just
don't believe in ignoring these types of situations, these conversations, especially when they're sent over to me and people ask me what I think. I don't run
away from a story and stuff like that. I just find it interesting.
I think it needs to be brought up in conversation with what are you all things right? Because I truly have done it myself. I have pulled forward
until I find a better spot. You guys know we talked about it.
You know. I just just got pulled over and I plan. I'm absolutely
going in and fighting this ticket that I got because I just know I didn't do anything wrong. And I'm also not that guy. I didn't do anything
wrong. Nope. If I've done something wrong, one hey, just give
you my ticket, let me go ahead. And I'm wrong I did.
I just know I didn't, because, like I said, the car was driving itself So that's besides the point. I'm not going to get back into
that, but it's one of those things I have pulled completely forward myself until I found a better spot, because I really believe I was doing the police officer a favor instead of letting him stand out traffic. Everybody's like, let
him figure it out, that's up to him, don't you know you should just stop your vehicle and let him figure it out for himself. No,
I don't believe in that because I've seen many cases where the police officers have been by vehicles because you put them in a bad position from where you stopped your vehicle. So UM, I had to disagree with that um a lot
of different times so or there where they're aggravated because you stopped your car in a bad position and put them in a bad spot to have to get out of the car. So it's you. You can burn the candle at both
ends, burn it at both ends. So with that being said, I'm
just curious what you guys think some of your guys's emails, you know, text me whatever, Just tell me what you guys think on it, because you know, as I read this case, I just don't think that this is going to play out the way that it should, and I'm curious what everybody has to think on it. And that No, guys, I got
to take a quick mercial break. When we come back, I got some
more for you. Guys. We're gonna go a little bit different directions.

Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialist. Now back to
your host, Dave Palach. Hey, guys, welcome back to the show.
So you're in the break. You guys haven't fallen along. We've been
try and play his hangman in the Nathaniel got the head because he gots the wrong letter. He got he got the letter. So yeah, I don't
know. I gotta think about my strategic letter for I'm gonna say, is
there an M put a body? And how you get a neck, Yeah
a neck or yeah neck? I don't know, all right, so jump
into it. Here's something we've talked about before. This is kind of for
some people, that's kind of gross, but it's only gross because of what people are doing. And we've talked about this many, many times, and
this is kind of what the show was based, U bond if you're looking at the title. So I'm gonna jump into it. Um, here's here's
the thing on it. If you can't get the screet But do you guys
ever notice that? Uh? I know I've talked about this before, and
I bring this back up because it's just happened to me again. I gotta
tell you, guys, you are not in your own bubble when you're in your car. If you think you're in your own bubble and no one can
see you when you're inside your car, everybody can see everything that you do in your car. I keep on iterating on this. So here's the thing.
Even if you're in a one lane in your car, right, if you're one lane and there's nobody alongside you, okay, you are one hundred percent still not safe. And here's the reason why. So I think this
lady thought she was safe in her car, and she thought she was in her own little bubble in her car because she was in one lane. Just
so I can make it one hundred percent clear to you guys, the side mirrors. If you have certain side mirrors in your car, we can watch
everything you're doing behind you in your side mirror. I don't think people realize
that most cars depends, especially a lot of the newer cars, the way the mirrors are actually built and angled. When now I'm sitting behind you,
I can watch everything you do in your side mirror. And I don't think
this lady realize it. This lady, it was pretty gross. So if
you're easily grossed out, you're gonna be grossed out pretty quickly. She was
digging in her ear. She had long nails, and she was digging in
her ear. And every time she digg in her ear, she pulled it
out and she would look at it and she would tap it on her window to clean out her nail. And then she dig back in her ear again,
look at it and just staring. She was staring at it. I
couldn't figure out were at this light for a while, and she looked at it weren't even worried about the light at this time. Was just like no,
no, I was like, is she gonna eat it? I was
like, literally, I was like, is she gonna eat it? The
whole time, right, and my mom's with me, and she keeps tapping it and clearing out her nail and goes back. And so I go two
traffic lights with her when we're doing this, and she she literally and she just she digs and then she reaches out and taps. So I ended up
with her at the third light, and it's now it's gone to two lanes.
I pull alongside her, so I didn't pull directly up even with her, right, I just kind of pulled back a little bit so I could watch watch what the next thing was. She goes from digging her ear straight
to the nose. Guys, I'm like, oh my goodness, like the
ear wasn't enough, and I'm like, she's gonna eat it. I know
she's gonna eat it. I thought about hitting the train horn. I took
everything I had got not to hit Yeah, I know I did. I
made you jump, yet I took everything in my body not to hit the train horn to get her, you know, to like make her jump.
But look, even if you have a slight tint on your window, what she did. She had a little slight tint on her window, but it
wasn't enough not to let people like look like in her car, you can see it was clearly, No, it wasn't. It was like really slight,
you could clear I mean obviously I could watch her to the mirror.
It wasn't enough. You are not in a bubble where you no one can
see you. We can see everything. I don't know what it is that
people get in their cars and they just believe that like no one can see them, that they're in their own world. It was I mean it was
that was downright gross. I mean to the point when she was clearing her
nail, you could watch things like fall out of the nail. I mean,
first of all, how long was it that you went without cleaning your ear? I mean, like to have that much stuff in there that you
had to dig out like it was it was gross. Put in your applications
for your tent advertisement right here? Um right, yeah, this is the
perfect place for a tent sponsor. I'm just letting you guys know. It's
here. You can see everything and everybody's I'm finding one and I'm heading down
there. So I'm telling you I was. I was pretty grossed out.
I was just like, man, this is all and she was just boy, she was digging for gold. I went out and I don't think she
found it, but she was digging for it. I mean, I just
I'm Today's episode, Today's episode of Digging in your Ear. I mean,
I know people are addicted to I mean, I think you could make a show out of it. You know, people watch pimple Poppers. They like
that show, pimple Poppers or whatever it's called. They want people are adulate
show. I think we can start to show what people do in their cars.
Mean, because there could be a TV show for it. I think
it would be a successful TV show. I mean it, Ah, it
was gross, but yeah, you're you're not in your own little bubble.
I just want to reiterate this. And I know we've talked about the things
I see when I pull right up alongside you. I just wanted to make
it sure that you knew that if you thought there's nobody alongside of you, that's good to do it. No, we can see you in your mirrors
too. I just I need people to know that we can see you in
your mirrors. So yeah, so you'd be looking to people's cars. You're
just saying, no, I'm not. No. Yeah, I knew you
were gonna say that. You're like, so you spend your time looking at
people's cars? No, I just I'm sitting behind her, and I'm like,
look, I see the movement. You don't. Even when you're sitting
behind something, you see all this movement a car. You're like, what
the world are they doing out there in their car? And then you happen
I noticed. Sometimes I love that they can see me though, just like
the other day, this person, are you the person that tries to do crazy things to get people's attention to see if they're paying attention? Yes,
if i'm pass yes, yes, if you're the pass passenger, yes, And then people have to me stop doing that that this is my car.
Which I think it's funny as can be when a fish just goes right by somebody and they're like, oh you so you go fishing for like for attention.
Yeah, I'm just like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I
can't have you do that in my car. Yeah, I couldn't have you
do that either, I'm like, dude, you don't because I told you be careful what you mess with because you just don't know. The guy in
the car gonna be completely crazy see you again. So you're like doing different
faces today. Yeah, yeah, see, I couldn't have you do that
in my car. Look, if I had a whiteboard, I'd be writing
help all right, you're the guy. You're the guy. You can't give
that sign that you can type to people in the back car. You've seen
that, right. You couldn't let him have the controller because it would be
bad. But sometimes I do love it because, like the other day a
car cut me off. I'm the type of person not Yeah, I don't
curse, I don't yell yes, I don't have to curse. I have
creative ways of saying. Thing to do with that person, round of ups.
He does laps in the kitchen all the time for cursing. He's an
angry driver and probably could testified comes like the people round of applause. Perfect,
just like I told you that. Yep, I taught he was losing
her mind in front of me because I was giving her the round. I'm
just like, it's like I had one funny you say that. So that's
kind of what I taught Cam. I'm like, there's no reason, like
I don't flip birds. I don't do any of that kind of stuff.
I'll clap, I will give you the applause. I'll be like, and
that makes them mad as can be. Or I'll give this I told you,
I give thumbs up you you do something stupid and cut up, cut me off and stuff like that. I'm not flipping the bird. I just
not worth it. I'll be like, thumbs up, good driving there,
buddy, And that like literally makes people like lose I don't know what for some reasons worse than give them the bird. It makes them lose her mind.
I had some of the other day literally cut me off, I didn't slam my brakes, almost crashed my truck and trying to miss them, and I gave them the applaud and you had the thought that I called them everything in the book. It made him lose their mind more than I just gave
him a golf clap. I was like, it's a gold crap. And
I did the voice. And I did the voice too. I did like
the out movement. I was like, good job, and they look like
they came unglued in their car, But I mean, what else you can do, Like you'll literally almost made me crash my truck because you're bad driving.
And I didn't. I didn't flip you the bird. I knew anything.
I just told you. You know, you're a great driver, You're
number one. Good job, you know what I mean. Like, literally
they came on glue, and I just think that's a better approach to flip with somebody the bird. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong,
but I mean, you literally almost destroyed my vehicle because you're bad driving.
You came over three lanes in front of me from all the way over, slam on the brakes, almost crashed the car next to me that had to avoid you, and then cut me off and slam on the brakes.
And somehow I'm a bad guy because I gave you a golf clap. I
mean, I don't know, tell me if I'm wrong. I think golf
claps is better than curshing out flipping the bird. I mean, I just
don't. I don't see the purpose of that. Maybe the twenty some od
year old of me would have flipped you the bird, but I mean, we all we all like mature and develop and don't do stuff like at least I hope you do. I still see idiots. They're young or they're my
age to do that. What what I'm in my twenty man. Yeah,
but but I've tried to raise you guys better and cheat you guys better ways to do things right. Well, I think, well, you're you're doing
the clap so flipping the burden cussing people out. I mean maybe you are,
like you know, throwing curse words in your own car and they don't realize it. But I mean I was going, yeah, under his breath,
yep, under his breath. But all the way here was like,
this man's going real slow. I'm like, you wasting so much energy just
talking about it much energy, so much talk about the guy in front of you just doing No that guy was going slow, slow move just get I had I had one the other day that I told camer about. I had
one the other day to tested my limits. Like the speed limit. I
get it. I know what the spied limit is, and I absolutely get
it. But we're out here in the country and speedling. It's forty five.
That drops the thirty five one thing goes back to you know, forty five, and the guy was going come forty three, then dropped and we got to third five and decide to go thirty three. And I'm just like,
and he's doing it on purpose, and I'm just like, oh, come on, like it's obvious. Like as soon as I got to thirty
five miles, he dropped out right to thirty three like slam on the brakes and brought it down to thirty three. And the thirty five I'm like,
I was trying. I was, I was trying to hold it like I
was trying to hold it. Obviously, me and him have some same mind
because we're like sometimes we just want to bump them, knowing, just knowing we have great insurance. But here's the thing. It's people like that that
aren't trying to invoke something out of you, like they're trying to like just make a situation. They're trying to make a situation. And just guys,
don't let him get the best of you. Just be you do you,
you know, and just take a deep breath, go and just know that yeah, not just not today, man, you ain't can get the best of me today. I know, guys, I got to take another commercial

You're Automotive specialist. Now back to your host Dave Falach. Hey, guys,
welcome back to the show. So here we go again. Here's some
interesting things. So you guys know we were talking about like robots on platforms
and all that kind of stuff, right, right, Okay, so everybody has their own like feelings on robots. Did you see the new robotcast pump?
I see, all right, So dude that that was awesome. Guy
pools up to the thing. It's just a monitor in front of him,
clicks on his phone. The robot swing. It's just basically like a robotic
arm that's still grabbing. And I think they have some some design aspects to
stuff there is, but it basically think about um, a vacuum, right, one of those vacuums at the car washes that they've modified it, and yeah, and the thing is just sitting inside and it opens up. It
turns outen, the robot dips out of this machine, out of like the cylinder of the vacuum pulls in, turns on the suction, clicks onto your gas pump. Obviously it must know baw opens up based off of what car
it is, because it was a click in one. It clicked in,
unscrewed the cap, turned around and like obviously mastered the rotational of how to control your like the hose from kinking up and everything right, sticks it in gasses it up, pulls it out, twists again to uncink the hose, puts it back in. I was like, yeah, don't even have to
step out of your car anymore. Like that's that's awesome. Yeah, that's
gonna be like a type of service though, well it's services. So Dad
and I was talking earlier this week. You remember Upside Like there's an app
out there that basically gives you money back if you go and shop at a certain gas stution. I used that this week. Um I was at a
gas pump it was four dollars and I was on phone with him. There
was at four dollars and thirty something since for my gas. I was like,
I'm going on the app. So I pull up that happen and I'm
not mentioning the app's name again. You got got to rewind. They got
spoted. But um, I basically was able to get my gas down to
three dollars and fifteen cents nice for the same exact gas because and it was only two point two miles away. I told him, I was like,
I'm riding on my EA and everything. He's like, He's like, I'm
I'm going for it. I'm riding on it until I saw the gas thinking
about this even more and think about like once we start getting auto drive cars and stuff and it's able to look up those deals, and it's like, all right, my owner is not going to get off of work until thirty minutes from now. I have enough time to go drive myself down to the
gas station, tell a robot to go fill up the car or plug it in, unplug it, drive back, park myself in front of the building, wait for my owner, all within the next thirty minutes. I like,
the technology is going to change and the services are going to I wonder if you're going to pay for that to be inclusive. I think that's gonna
be like a perk, some sort of gas station or membership. Well here,
because it's more does it eat? You got to think about what is
it? What's that There's a couple of different states out there that don't even
allow you to pump your gas. We just went through one, but they
do that because that's employing someone's law, that state law that now they have because it helps it. I think it's going to start there. I really
think it's going to start there. And then once it starts there, it's
going to show that you can start maintaining your equipment bet or if it's not somebody just shaking the handle every single time, you know, if it's just a robot, it's going Yeah, I think it's going to be inclusive.
But here's the funny thing. You can spin this back around and go,
what three years ago we were having this conversation about okay, robots doing all your gas and all your EV plugins and all that kind of stuff for you.
And when we were talking about okay, so if you start making electric cars and they need to be charged or you know, you want to gas up vehicles and stuff, and how do you do this and how do you start employing robots to start doing it? And everybody's like, oh, that's
so far down the road, is it, because here we are and I'm like, okay, So now that moves it into the mobile side of things, because now you could have mobile battery stations that are on trucks and now you have a robot that is on the truck to come out and you could have your EV park somewhere and you could you don't have to worry about finding a station for it to be charged. You can have mobile stations where an
Eby mobile station has a robot and it just gets out and plugs in and charges you. Nobody has to worry about doing anything and it's all done by
robots. You have a self driving vehicle that has a robot on on board
that just goes around and that robot gets out and plugs into your vehicle and charges it, and there has to be nobody on that vehicle. Inderstand I
was talking about. Think about it. I mean, it's now it's endless,
you know what I mean, the possibilities or endless. Think about people
pulling up to I liked them, so I'll say their name, wawas right, okay, and then they go instead of now is there one way um?
Think about? Think about them going to the pump and happening to sit
there, fill it all up, you know, and then go inside.
Well they can pull their car up. Flashback to when we talked about the
cars already going to know your payment information absolutely because a programmed in the car.
Get out walk here. Now your car is like, hey, I
need I need some few, I need some few, and the robots like I got you, and it just rose out. You come out with your
you know, this man sits and thinks about this all night long to himself.
You know, he does your sub and now your car's fully gas.
You didn't even watch a gas itself or anything. It's just ready to go.
That's what That's what the commercial shows you. But in reality, reality
you're gonna be out waiting for that robot to finish. You're filling your gasp
and you're gonna be like, what it's taken this dude. In reality,
you come out and the machines messed up. It thought your window was your
gas pump and started pumping gas like empty. You're like, how you empty?
You're a robot. I'm just telling you that I can just see how
the possibilities on all this stuff is so endless it's not even funny. And
I laugh to myself because these conversations we've been having for years and years and years for people send us text messages and emails and stuff. People like,
oh, it's so far down the road, da da da da, And I'm like, it's not guys. Technology is booming so quickly and people are
pushing it and pushing it, pushing it to go to come so quickly here we are. People are like, oh, it's ten years. No,
these are conversations. I kid you not. We had these conversations two three
years ago, and here we are. People want technology so quick. I
mean, look at you know, these these in house butlers and stuff that people are pushing for like really quickly. It's really scary for what they can
do. If you guys have not you know, you know, if people
if you haven't been paying attention, I mean the technology on on a lot of this stuff. Now you don't. And here's the thing. So we're
talking about during before we came on the air today, Um, the push.
Like I'm kind of scared because it seems like it's the end of an error for like muscle cars. Like everybody's like, okay, we're gonna get
rid of the Camaro, and here's the end of the error for you know, for chargers and challengers and all that kind of Everybody's like, well, they're not the end. They're gonna do them in evs. They're all gonna
be you know, electric vehicles and stuff. I'm like, it is the
end of an error though, Like if you get rid of all the gasoline, you know, muscle cars and stuff, it is the end of there.
For somebody like me, I mean, somebody who is a true gearhead and just run right. I'm like, why is it that everybody's trying to
cancel all that stuff right now? Why is everybody like it seems like everybody's
just trying to cancel it all out all at the same time. I don't
know, it just um, it just seems like a really weird time we're going through right now. And I know there's a transition period and stuff,
but for everybody to hop on the bandwid I know, just for somebody like me, it just h just gives you this just another thing we're feeling inside, you know. And I know you know we did Seema and there was
that big push to take to do the retro fit and take old muscle cars and make them electrics so you still feel like you had that that old muscle car feel. But now things election that was kind of cool. I'm not
gonna say it wasn't, but old muscle cars that you can't, right, you can't. For me, you can't replace the feel and the smell in
the sound of an old muscle car when it fires up and standing next to it and that thump you can feel in your chest. And I think has
the right cam and and stuff that just can't be replaced. And that's just
me. I understand we're rushing into a new error and stuff. I get
it. I'm not And you guys know I'm a technology guy. Don't get
wrong. You know I like technology, but we pushed them towards it,
right, worry your pres is here to stay. Oh come on, No,
that's not That's not me definitely, you know. And like I said,
you guys, you guys know I love Tesla and we've been big Tesla fans, and you know, I get a lot of hate mail because I like Tesla and I support Lucid. You know, I told you guys,
I really like Lucid. I think it's like a nice body design, it's
a nice looking car, and sof like that. So you guys know I
can step on that side of the bandwagon. I'll tell you guys how I
like it. Focus Like I said, So it's not like I can't go
on both sides of the band I'm just saying there's something to be said about a true muscle car and the way it makes somebody feel when you sit down inside a muscle car and you rab a whole of the shifter, and you know, just that feel of things is there's a lot to it that you cannot be replaced. I don't care how you try to do it with an
electric vehicle and doing a way with you know, just what makes I'm gonna say it, what makes men men and gearhead women gearhead women? What makes
us what we are? You just I don't know how you're gonna substitute that,
and maybe somebody can explain it to me, but I have not felt that substitution. And some of these electric what they're trying to call muscle cars,
I have not. They're like, oh, the zero sixties and you
know, so I'm like, okay, but you still can't you can't replace.
They're just making a new way for speed. No, just in category
and sports cars. Yeah, no, no, I gotta I understand.
I just I'm just telling you there's just no way to get around it.
So kind of keep that in mind, especially because he had electric GTR.
Now it's coming out you guys look that up. You'll see it and they're
like, oh, that's you know, there's there's your answer for some things.
