Mechanical grip is how well a car’s tires stick to the road when it turns or brakes, thanks to the car’s weight and suspension. It’s different from grip that comes from wind pressure on the car.
Mechanical grip refers to the tire's ability to maintain traction on a road surface through physical forces, such as weight transfer and suspension geometry, rather than relying on aerodynamic downforce.
