Let's kick that off with the news of the day.

Obviously, Riz's article on the Driven.

Let's see if I can pop that on.

Yes.

Evie sales hit record 20% share indeed in May, 2026 as Tesla,

BYD Jakku and Geely, Surge and diesel use slump.

Riz, take it away.

Yeah, 20%.

I mean, it's been, I know it was,

I was expecting this a bit later in the year, but here we are.

I think all those deliveries now with interest from February,

March and so all prices have been surging.

Yeah, we got over 21,300 battery electric vehicles on our roads.

The number is actually a little bit higher than that because

GAC X-Peng, which I know I'm delivering too many at the moment,

but GAC in particular are smart.

Some of those other smaller brands don't go through V-Facts

or Electric Vehicle Council for the data.

So we're not too sure, but yeah, 21,303 official,

Evie sold total of 106,887 cars and commercial vehicles

sold during the month.

So yeah, huge, huge sales.

Yeah, it looks like Tesla boasted its best ever monthly sales,

6,443.

That's huge, a huge number.

See, that's interesting.

I think for all our viewers and listeners, I put the stories together

and sometimes the editorial team looks at it.

This is not the highest month ever.

They did have a month a couple of years ago with over 7,000 sales.

So yeah, anyway, it's close, but more importantly,

Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car in May.

In all powertrains, right?

All powertrains.

That's phenomenal.

Wow, that's a huge effort.

Is this count the Model Y?

Yeah, exactly, right?

Does this count the YL as well in that group?

Okay, interesting.

It does.

I tried to break things down a little bit with the data

that was provided by Electric Vehicle Council,

but funnily enough, the Model Y long-range all-wheel drive

saw a huge surge in sales or registrations,

but I'm very confident that that includes Model YLs as well

because there was no separate, let's call it, variant added into that data set.

Unless they change that next month,

I have a feeling they'll just continue to report it in an aggregated way,

but I shall have more detailed data that we get at CarLoop next month,

next week, to share with everybody around what are the rough breakdowns

we're seeing for Model YLs out of that as well.

So first month of big deliveries for the Model YL.

Of course, saw your video, Tom and Joy, as well.

You picked yours up, so you were part of the big number story.

We sure were.

Very happy with it so far.

And yeah, look, I think obviously on the Tesla website,

Model Y is just one big thing you can buy.

So I would be surprised if they break it down in the sales numbers,

but yeah, good to see CarLoop being able to hopefully break those numbers down as well for next month.

And other brands too, of course, JQJ5 deliveries starting to finally take hold as well

from all those pent-up orders over the last few months.

Oh, massive month for them.

I mean, I can clearly see that that car is going to be really well purchased.

They're catching up, as you said, to the orders,

but I also think they have a huge amount of order backlog as well,

given what a great value that car is in the grand scheme of things for SUV with relatively good interior,

reasonable tech, 80-year warranty.

So JQ and the Cherry team, I think, have done a really good job with that car.

And then, of course, JQJ5 also had the best month with over 1,800 sales.

That's probably on the back of the extended range as well.

I would have thought that with the car that we just reviewed as well on the channel.

Let's just scroll down to these numbers here.

So yeah, Tesla Model Y ahead of the pack there.

JQ number two at 2,000 odd sales and Geely X5, 1,800.

And C-Line 7, no slouch, it's still up there in the mix.

And of course, Zika 7X, I'm sure some of those deliveries are starting to filter through as well from the last few months.

And then a whole bunch of BYDs.

So I couldn't see BYD demand still going strong as well.

Yeah, it's huge.

I don't think it's going to stop, guys.

Isn't it 20%?

Hopefully it's just upward and onward from you.

And to think that Western Australia aren't even getting their BYDs yet.

So it's like being artificially constrained.

It could be even higher.

Yeah.

And other, as Bruce said, other companies aren't reporting like, yeah, GAC, Xperon.

I think Deepel, did they report or they just don't have the figures?

Deepel do report, but they just, well, given our, I remember when we used to go through like the top 15 sales.

And I think the, you know, the whole list would drop down to like 60 or 70 units.

Now we're getting up to like, I think Kia EV3 was 531 units.

So this list is, yeah, I'm still trying to keep it under 15.

But yeah, just the number of sales is incredible.

I mean, look at the BVB body at a one, like, you know, a lot of sales.

Just, you know, one of the smallest cars in the country.

But yeah, seems to be punching way above its size.

Yeah.

Don't forget these numbers, right?

Like, come on, 2,000 sales and that, and Jakku is only number two.

Like that's, for me, that's incredible.

That's what a feat.

And, you know, I was reading your article here is that last year this time we were, we were only what?
