That's an impressive looking vehicle and the color combinations are interesting too.

I love the color combinations.

The red and black. The red and blue?

Red and blue.

With black.

With black. Okay, I knew there was a black.

It's a kind of a lighter blue color, says the color blind guy.

I don't know what color it is.

I keep forgetting that you're color blind.

They tell me it's blue.

Okay.

The window sticker said it was blue.

That's good enough for me.

So some shade of blue and it's not navy. I know that.

It's got a lot of red trim on it, which is kind of the signature of Nismo, Nissan Motorsports.

So it's kind of a light blue with a lot of red, a black top, black bottom and black wheels.

Yeah, it's a real unique color combination and it's a more sporty look than I remember

their Amada having.

Big time. We're talking about the 2026 Armada Nismo.

Yeah.

They upped the horsepower on this one.

Yeah.

460 horses, 516 pound feet of torque, 28 inches worth of screens that set from in front of

the driver all the way over to the middle of the vehicle.

That's becoming the common thing, man.

The screens that span the entire dashboard just about.

And this one's big.

It is a nice, nice, nice SUV.

Were they trying to go for a Range Rover kind of a thing?

Or do you, I mean, I know that they're not in the same class, but.

No, but maybe, I mean, it's pretty square.

Yeah.

It's pretty square like the Armada tends to be.

And then they put spoilers on the front and rear down low.

So it really gives it a square look, but it's got black and red seats inside.

Black leather, red Alcantara, big panoramic moon roof.

What kind of stereo do I have?

Clipsh, which is fancy.

It is.

And it sounds nice and loud and.

Yeah.

Sounds good too.

I'll bet.

Oh, it's.

He killed me with that.

He killed me 83 grand on the one sticker on this one.

And you'll probably never get to buy one.

They're just building.

It's a niche vehicle.

They're building so few of them.

My big Nissan dealer in Dallas, Fort Worth.

He hasn't even gotten one yet.

He thinks he may only get one for the year.

I mean.

So are these folks going to buy these things?

Then they're going to sell them to like and really increase the price.

Quite a bit.

Yeah.

Probably wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah.

It's going to be a rare.

It's going to be a rare vehicle.

Yeah.

I'm a long time listener and first time caller.

Well, it's good to have you pal.

All right.

I got a question.

I was a dealer to buy, I looked at a Lexus, but they didn't have it.

So they showed me a BMW and it was a BMW dealer and I liked the car and all that.

I go down to the pricing and they show me the price and this and then I negotiate and we

do that.

But later on, probably after I left the dealership, I looked at on the internet, the price is

$2,000 cheaper than what he showed me as a price.

Is that common or is that unspeakable?

Oh, it's common because whoever you're talking to at the BMW dealership has no idea what it's

online for.

They probably don't even look.

So they just price it and if you're a consumer and you're not smart enough to go online first

and see if the car you're looking and we're talking used cars here.

So the rule is that it's a 21M440i.

Oh, nice car.

So in used cars, there's no rules period.

It can be on it could be online for more or less than what they ask you once you're there

looking on the lot.

But they assume if you don't tell them that you saw the car online and that's the one

you're there to look at, they assume that you haven't looked online.

So they can price it anywhere they want to.

I'm not saying I agree with that.

I'm not saying that's right.

I'm just telling you the reality of it.

Okay, because I thought I was going to unscrupulous.

I did buy it less than the internet price.

So I got I think I got a fair deal, but I went to talk to the sales manager and he

gave me a 15 minute speech about this was this price.

This was that price, but none of it's labeled.

But they just say this and that.

And I'll tell you what for your problems.

We'll give you some free car washers.

Hey, look at there.

Woo, nice.

It's a new year.

I'll look out.

Now, you know, I mean, with used cars, with used cars, you're always best to go

online and assume because again, there's no rules.

Dealers don't have to price cars any particular way.

There's no window sticker price to compare like there is with a new car.

So they're going to be all over the board.

You can have two cars at two different dealerships that are almost identical.

And they're going to be thousands of dollars of difference.

A lot of dealers price their they give their best price online.

The day they get the car and they never move.

Others price their cars up high and reduce the price as time goes on.

So again, no rules.

Just be smart.

Always look online first.

That's the most you should pay.

So, unfortunately, I went to a non-car pro Toyota dealership this morning.

Trying to buy a, yeah, trying to buy.

I knew better.

I told my wife I wanted to talk to you before I went, but it wasn't Saturday.

So, anyway, I went and to buy my wife a new Grand Highlander hybrid.

And I done my research on the internet and all the, more or less, all the Toyota dealers

in the Houston area have their websites are similar and the prices were similar on the vehicles.

And of course, the packages are similar.

So, I found two that were at least according to the website in production.

I go to the dealership and I called them first and said, hey, is it still not spoken for?

And then, yeah, come in.

So, I go in and I talked to them and I said, you know, I'd like to put some money down on

this vehicle.

I asked them some questions about the hybrid, the engine, the, excuse me, the turbo charge

versus the non-turbo charge.

Because on your website, you had promoted the turbo charged, which, you know, I understand

the power and I can understand you promoting that.

Yeah, sure.

So, I wanted, you know, and it's hard to get a vehicle to drive, right?

So, I wanted to see the difference between the two engines.

And of course, I asked the guy, I'm like, first, he's like, we don't have any Grand

Highlanders on the lot.

And I'm like, okay, well, it should be the same engine in the Toyota Sienna, right?

I mean, it's the same engine.

No, it's not the same engine.

I'm like, okay, whatever.

That was the first, that was the first mark against them.

That's when you leave.

But, yeah, well, I didn't leave because I finally convinced him to let me drive a Toyota

Sienna and I drove it.

And now I know why you promote the turbo charged, but so they had it.

They had it.

And I brought the piece of paper from the internet.

I printed it off.

They had the deal on it.

And I said, okay, this is the one I want.

When's it due in?

David, David, hang on.

So you're, you're all in on the hybrid.

Yep, yep, yep, all in.

And, and so after I drove the Sienna, which is a beautiful car too.

It was, it was absolutely beautiful.

But obviously I want the turbo charge and, and I was curious as to why you recommended that.

That's the, that's one question.

But the second thing was when I went to finish the deal.

So they have, I have the piece of paper from the internet.

I have the internet prize.

It has everything listed on it, right?

Everything, all the options that come from the dealer, all the options that come from the factory.

Well, he's, for one thing, I don't know what else they could put on it when he gets back to the

dealer, but it was another $6,000 for options.

And I'm like, look, I don't, it has everything on it.

I don't want anything else.

What could you put on it?

And so he says some kind of diamond coating and, you know, some, so I said, no, I don't want that.

I want the cars that comes from the thing.

And he goes, no, neither you take that or we won't sell it to you.

And my question is, are all the dealers going to do this to me?

I mean, okay, good, good.

Should I ask that question before I go in?

Well, why don't you choose one of my dealers and talk to them and you want to deal with it?

I will, I will, and I am, I promise you.

Are you closer to Katie, Angleton, Spring or Baytown?

Katie, yeah.

And, you know, I was going to go to Katie, but Mike, the one, there was one that was closer

and I went there and it was not a good experience.
