And, you know, the facilities are really nice and all that. It's restaurant on site bar, but it's we're part of the Concor. So the Heritage Invitational is a Concor.
And there will be some heavy hidden Radwood era cars that are part of the Concor as an extension of what we do, plus like the Radwood piece, which is, you know, our own nice very varied group of cars, you know, but that's that's our presence there.
But Super Rad facility happen to be there now. Last year we did the Auto Fair, which is sort of like the flea market component of the bigger event.
But now we're like in the really like basically the coolest spot like on the track. We're displaying our cars on the racetrack sort of how we've done the past in Austin and at Goodwood.

I applied at a little company with 10 employees called GoPro back in 2000, late 2009 or something and simultaneously applied at BMW San Francisco for a sales position.
And I turned down the sales position at BMW San Francisco and accepted the one at GoPro.

But that's that's not necessarily taking a leap like starting Radwood from and having a very cushy tech job and taking, you know, over a 50% pay cut when you have kids in a family and all that.
That was more extreme, I think from like an actual risk. Luckily it worked out, but that was that was definitely the biggest risk.
I think from like being established to nothing or to starting something from scratch versus like, you know, going from one position to the next and then just taking one of one one choice.
That was a risky one versus one that was established.

I can go my, I was in a position to do some career shifts when I got laid off.
So I was working in like for AT&T wireless and quote unquote working my way up to middle management, which is super fun.
And I got laid off and it was the best thing that ever happened.
So it wasn't really a risk, but at that point I could have gone back into that same world into like kind of corporate office stuff and I had some opportunities to do that, but I was a car guy.
And so I thought I would be really good at service writing and running a shop and no one seemed to think so because I applied at a few different places.
Yeah, you know, it just wasn't a fit or they weren't hiring, whatever it was, but then you didn't have a track record either.
Exactly. I was basically like, I'm a car guy, so let me work here.
And then my girlfriend at the time, her brother-in-law, his family owned a shop in Santa Cruz and just so happened to be looking for exactly that.
And so he gave me a shot and then five years later I left there and went to another shop and then, you know, driving awesome and Radwood and et cetera, et cetera.
So that was kind of the, I chose kind of like art, you know, it was basically, you know, not a, it was a big pay cut to go into the automotive field, but at the same time it was what I was into.
So it was a bit of a risk and it worked out.

It's like basically taking a, I don't know, at the time 75% pay cut to do Radwood full time basically and then do that for several years or a couple of years, a few years at that same, you know, just kind of at that rate at that rate, dude.

Yeah, but it's like the story I think underlying there is like follow passions, see what happens, you know, that could almost be like an M&M lyric, but and then, you know, it doesn't have to be forever.
If it's not working out or you find another opportunity comes your way and you want to bounce back to that and then you can always, you know, come back to the passion stuff or keep it on the, as like a passion project, which driving while awesome always was
like we just did it because we liked it. So if it turns into something that's awesome and you get a lot of opportunities and relationships because of it.

them to make big batches and then when it comes
down to replace them, they're hard to get parts

model only got this and those are, you know,

required to produce replacement parts replacement
parts for their cars for seven years and that comes
so quick when you especially these cars last a long
time like my tundra. It's twenty five years old
and so luckily Toyota is pretty good about it
about making parts, but like by law they're only
required to carry those parts for so long
and then some aftermarket suppliers pick up
the slack and if they see a need for it, but
yeah, it's it's sketchy. This is what makes
cars like a Lotus even sketchier, right?
Like even buying a brand new or like an Avora,
you know now Avoras are what seven years old,
right? Like or ten years old, twelve years old,
fifteen years old. It's like find a window
seal or something like that, you know, once these
cars are fully phased out like because now the
newest ones are still whatever three years old
or something, but once those are in that age
like, yeah, try find those little trim pieces
and stuff like that. The trim, I think
mechanical is one thing and you can, you know,
find people that will make, you know, metal
objects, but when you get into some of this
trim stuff, it's really hard and I think
for those like Japanese cars too, they last
so long, but then the trim falls apart
and to find those pieces is really,
really tricky, so yeah, I don't know man.

like what will be the next part that we think
will become depleted, but everything
