I'm good.
This is my second home now.
Actually, it's my first home.
My garage is where I live and breathe and sleep and eat and do everything else
now since this Cobra is not finished.
But until it's done, I will be quarantined to the garage.
You're working on the Cobra.
Getting closer to getting that together, we should get into that.
In the garage.
I mean, have you got the garage like situated the way you want as you're working on the
car?
Well, yeah.
I mean, the downstairs, yes, but I mean, there's really no place to chill here.
You know, I mean, I couch downstairs with a big freaking cold tub plunge or something.
I need to do, I need to, I need some, some, I need to fluff it up a little bit.
I just need some comfort down here.
That's all.
It's the last thing I thought that I would need, but I do, man.
If I'm spending this much time up here, I need to be able to chill in between.
And upstairs is the gym, right?
Yeah.
I mean, it's just couches and stuff up there, but I need something down here.
I can't, when I'm tired, I can't even walk up the stairs, but yeah, I just, I've just
been literally up here every night.
You know, like the, like the old school lift, like you'd see like in cartoons, it's like
you get in a bucket and there's a rope and it goes up to a pulley and then down
below you would have Presley pull the rope and pull him upstairs.
That'd be neat if that actually worked.
She would drop you on your ass.
Oh, yeah, she would.
All right.
So you need a downstairs lounge here.
You need a place to, to, to relax for a minute.
Maybe bring the big massage chair.
I don't know if you still have that.
You had one out.
Oh yeah.
I got her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
We'll, we'll see.
I mean, it's obviously in the back, in the back of my mind, but now it's reared.
It's ugly head since I spent so much time down here and, uh, intermittently have
wanted to like lay down and chill for 10 minutes.
And although thanks to rhinos scrubbers, uh, I cleaned my floor yesterday.
And, uh, that thing is so good, man.
I literally just laid on the, I mean, it was cold.
It was like 98 degrees here yesterday.
So I felt like a dog laying on the floor of my garage.
Trying to cool your belly.
Oh, it's fantastic.
It was just great, man.
It smells good since they finally sent me some soap and, uh, yeah, it's, it's,
it's all good.
It's all good at the end of the day.
Hey, put it this way.
At the end of the day, I'm not going to complain at all.
I've got the preeminent freaking place to work on my cars.
I've got air conditioning.
My buddy Clint brought his wife's truck over yesterday to use the lift to
do the breaks in the morning because it's so freaking hot here.
Right.
So, um, you know, that took us an hour and, uh, we got to hang out.
We didn't sweat our asses off.
And, you know, like this morning, I, I, I got it, like everybody does.
They have a checklist, you know, of, uh, the to-dos on the vehicle
that they're currently working on and mines dwindled down to like 10,
10 items and one of them was the carpet.
And so I reached out this morning to a place called redemption auto here in
Bernie and, um, I'd never been there before, but they knew of my garage and
knew of the cars and, um, but two great guys, man, great guys.
I have the, the transmission hump and then part of the trunk carpeting was
cut.
And so I have to get them fixed obviously before, you know, I finished the interior.
I did, I finished wiring, well, we're about 98 done, 98% done with the
wiring, uh, ran the gigantic positive cable from the fricking battery
through the cockpit to the fricking, oh my God.
The thing is the size of my finger, right?
So try to hide that, you know, uh, on a Cobra.
It's tough.
But, um, yeah, I'm just doing cleanup work, man.
Uh, we cut the hole for the, uh, for the shifter the other day.
Obviously, um, close the other hole.
First time I've done fiberglass stuff.
Uh, that was fun.
It was a shifter's relocated a little bit.
You mentioned that on a week or so ago.
Yeah.
I mean, precise measurements, right?
So we had T, we had the, uh, the top loader in and it was a four
speed and we replaced it with the TKX.
TKX has three different locations for the shifter.
Um, obviously it was in the rear spot on the TKX originally, right?
And so that's basically where it laid the, the, the shifter right now.
But that's if we use the TKX before, cause the top loaders completely,
the specs on it are completely different.
Yeah.
But it doesn't, it doesn't have the same spot, you know, for the shifter, right?
So it was, it was cool cause we thought about it for about 10 minutes.
And, and I just said, you know what?
Those holes were the, where the seat is supposed to go.
Those are finite.
Those don't ever move no matter what.
So take, take, uh, the dimension from the existing front hole and figure
out and kind of triangulate it and figure out where the shifter goes.
And you know, after about 45 minutes, we figured it out and, uh, covered
up the, the, the hole and then cut out a two and a half inch hole for the,
for the TKX and, uh, you know, fingers crossed that when the
body goes on, it's in the right spot.
That's all.
So it's moved forward now.
So you don't have to reach back as far your shoulder doesn't go back.
Oh, it's fantastic.
It's literally comfortable.
It's really like a normal car now.
I mean, it's just fabulous.
And I've never driven the car.
Manny and I are talking and it's going to come out on our YouTube, the YouTube
channel, but Manny's saying, you know, well, we're going to take it
from this comfortable position to this other comfortable position.
I'm like, no, Manny.
There is no original comfortable position cause it, it was freaking
a pain in the ass.
It was like, it was horrible.
I mean, it had to be a contortionist just to shit.
Right.
You got to like get your elbow up high or down low or somewhere
tucked in, like you can't just move it back straight.
No.
And the problem that I'm dealing with now is that I want to put a,
a, an e-brake in it, right?
Um, and that hump is so big compared to the rest.
I mean, that's 90% of the cockpit right there.
So it's like, it's going to be hard to, to locate where I'm going
to mount this thing, but I, it's the perfect timing right now.
Carpets out everything before it's completely exposed.
Uh, we're ready to drill more holes, but, um, yeah, it's, uh, it's
a cool little addition.
I just have to figure out a, a logical place to put it where
it's not in the way.
Do you, do you want like a more conventional style of e-brake
handle, or are you going to go like full, like drift handle?
Like I'll go full drift handle, but I'm not going to do the
ostentatious seven foot long back.
It doesn't need to be that.
No, I just need it right next to the shifter, man, to be honest.
And if it's 10 and eight to 10 inches tall, that's fine.
I just literally, like the normal ones that they have, right?
It would, it would sit up like, like window level.
You could use it as a flagpole.
And then I just think it's a cool addition.
You know, if you can get the, the location close to where you
want it, then the stick, right?
You could, you could go eight inches high.
You go 10 inches high.
You can give it sort of a, a Z shape or whatever.
So if you need to move it four inches forward or four inches
backwards, it's just how you bend it up.
So you can mock it up a few different ways and then try or
fabricate a couple of different stick.
Oh, yeah, dude, believe me, I'm full into the fabrication right now.
I mean, I was, yes, I'm, I'm, there's nothing I'm not trying on this car.
The one thing that I've found more than anything that is through this entire
process is that, you know, the only way that you're going to overcome
your fears of not knowing what to do is to actually just jump in and
frickin do it.
Yeah.
I mean the stick, you, you can, you can make a couple of versions just out
of wood or bend up some conduit.
And then when you get it to where you want, go, great, now let's machine
like a billet piece or use the water jet or something like that to do it and
give it a little bit of a style or, you know, give it a look to it or
whatever and then neural a handle.
Like once you're, once you've made the versions that you want, you
know, just out of customize the hell yeah.
Then you can make, you can do something, something cool with it.
So.
And it's funny because yesterday we're, Clint's over here and we're
working on the car doing some wiring and I picked up the phone and
called, called my buddy Clint who built the car.
Right.
And I had a couple of questions for him, mainly what was this fricking
hose sticking out of the back of the motor, which turned out to be
the pressure gauge, the oil pressure gauge.
But he gave me some more information that I didn't know on this
car, which makes it further entertaining to look back on in that
Ernie wrecked this car two times, both times.
So he wrecked it when he went out to test drive it.
I heard that he took it off the runway, but I didn't know that it
needed, you know, it had body damage.
So it went off the runway, shifted from third to fourth, spun
the tires, put it in the ditch, screwed up the right hand side,
the right front of the vehicle.
Okay.
And then coming back after they got him out of the ditch, coming
back to the shop, he wrecked it again and hurt the left front of
the vehicle.
And it's nice to talk to Clint and hear the true back
story behind what was going on with, with Ernie in this
car before he gave it to me.
And he, and Clint said, you know what, I'm going to be perfectly
honest with you.
He said, I've driven just about everything that we had going
through the, you know, the Elliott shop, I've driven
every modern NAS, or modern muscle car, super car, and he's
never been in anything as terrifying as that Cobra.
Yeah.
That was, was cool to hear and, and unsettling at the
same time, but that further reinforces the fact that I don't
need to brag and boast about the performance of this car.
Cause here's a NASCAR guy saying it and that, that, that just
took it to a whole different level for me.
Yeah.
But if you think about all of the things that you've guys
have done to the car and the changes you've made, you've
actually made it, you started addressing all of just the, the
functional like drivability issues, shift or location and tilt
column and gauges, location and proper roll bar.
And, you know, all in hopes of making me feel, well, ultimately
making me safer, but at least to feel safer at the same time so
that I can have a little bit of more, a little bit more
freedom when I drive this car.
Yeah.
You want to be confident, not too confident.
That car should still scare you.
There's no way I'll ever be too confident in that vehicle.
Yeah.
I have too much respect for it.
But that car is, it's meant for you to, the way it's being
built and how much power it has is to have a little fun with
it.
It's not out to break records.
Like if you start drag racing it and set land speed
records and, and top speed records, like that's not the
right car for that.
It wasn't really designed for that from the get go.
This particular, you know, kit and everything there.
So, but.
The whole process has been freaking amazing.
Yeah.
Because I thought I loved cars before I jumped into this, but
this has taught me a lot of things, not only different
things to do with my hands, you know, mechanically, but
it's given me the, the passion that I can now completely
understand from a person who has put together their own
vehicle.
Yeah.
It's really cool.
I mean, it is really, it takes you to a whole different
level.
I mean, I am changing, I have changed fucking every bolt on
this car and 80% of no one's ever going to see.
Yeah.
For me, I, I, I, I want to go all out.
I want to, I want to do the best of my ability and then
tear it down and do it again one day or build another one.
Or, or yeah, or, or move on to another project, but, but
everything with that car projects are so much different
because there's just carburetor work here, you
know, wheel cylinders here, it's just one little
thing.
Um, I'm really sorry that we're at the point we're at
right now because I'm looking for things to do.
And it's really exciting, you know, knowing that this
body's probably going to go on next week.
I mean, it's really freaking cool.
Yeah.
You take ownership of it and, um, I'm a car guy.
I'm not just a Dodge guy.
And this has proven that in that I don't care if
you're whatever brand you, you love and you, you hang
your flag by it, but this Cobra, you can do anything
you want with it.
You can put any power plant you want in it.
It's just a, it's a screaming, uh, testament of
individuality.
There's no right.
There's no wrong unless you bastardize an original.
There's no right.
There's no wrong.
Um, you can put an LS in it.
You can put a fricking whatever you want in it.
Yeah.
And it's fine because that's your interpretation.
And it's you expressing yourself through a vehicle.
And you don't have to be a Dodge guy.
You don't have to be a foot.
You just have to be a car guy.
Yeah.
It's so much fun.
It really is.
I mean, I have, I've had, I never realized I'd be
having this much fun.
I mean, honest to God, I'm like a kid in the
candy store.
It's fricking awesome.
And the sense of accomplishment that you have.
And yeah, yeah, I'm proud of this thing.
And the, and the, you know, I've, I've always
kind of, ah, man, poo pooed it, right?
You know, it's a, it's a kid car.
You know, Ernie built it.
Man, this car is fricking bad ass.
This car is really special and everybody can do their
own interpretation of these cars, but not many
people have one like this one.
I mean, this is a full blown race car.
And it's so much fun.
And, you know, and I've got a hand in building it,
not rebuilding it.
I can't wait to pick up the phone and call Ernie,
which is what I'm going to do after this.
Cause I don't think he's even knows what I'm doing.
And I think he'd really be proud of me, man.
Cause I mean, I'm, I'm doing things that I
never thought I'd do.
And, and man, that's not going to stop here.
I mean, Goldberg's garage may turn into something
completely different, but it's so much fun.
I feel like a kid in the candy store.
Taking on a custom project like that, um, it, it, it is fun.
And it's, it's equally frustrating as it is exciting,
but part of that frustration makes the complete
moments even better.
Oh yeah.
Because if you get that frustrated off of one element,
yeah, completed, your sense of accomplishment is sky
fricking high.
You get up in the morning and you're like,
we're putting the windshield on today and you're
excited about it.
And then you spend hours on it and you're like,
this God damn thing doesn't fit for, but there's no
way this is going to create.
And three weeks later, you're still putting the windshield in.
Yeah.
I get it.
Believe me.
And then, but once you figure it out and you get it done,
you're going to be like, this came out great.
I like.
Well, I'm at that point right now, right?
I mean, we're, we're at the cool juncture and then
we, we take on that task and then something goes
awry and we move to something else.
Well, now we're going checklist and stuff.
The things that I put to the side, those are the
things that are left now.
Yeah.
So those are the laborious ones.
Those are the ones with no, you know, no, uh, no fanfare,
right?
You know, 90% of it nobody sees, but you know it's done
and you know, that's the way it is.
Yeah.
So.
And now more than ever, having a working shop and a
clean space to do it and some room to lay parts
out and have the body separate from the frame and, uh,
all the cool stuff that I've been acquiring and you've
been acquiring throughout the years has now been able.
Now I can put it all to work.
You know, uh, Ben pack sends me the new transmission
jack last week and Rick, I haven't used the other
one in six months.
Well, I'll be damned if we didn't use it yesterday
on Clint's wife's truck.
Yeah.
Um, it's really, it's really, Hey, I picked up
the phone and called my kid from Tremac and said,
I know I texted him.
I, you know, I, I text, I sent him a text.
I said, I know it's hard to believe, but we're actually
looking to put fluid in that transmission within a
couple of weeks.
We're going to be starting that motor.
Um, and he's like, man, I get it.
You know, it is what it is.
And, um, yeah, it's like Bilstein.
Bilstein was the first company that sent me new
parts for this Cobra and I haven't been in
contact with them for about a year, but they're
about to see their product here pretty soon.
And, uh, it just, it's, it's all coming together.
And Holly, I needed belts.
So I picked up the phone and called Alex two days ago.
And it's funny that all you have to do is call, if
you need anything, all you got to do is call Holly
because they own everybody now.
I just had the conversation with them.
Yeah.
You know, so, um, yeah, uh, they, they've
helped exponentially.
I mean, they really have, um, a lot of people, Manny
for Manny's custom builds, he's, he's been a man.
I love that you, you, you have, um, you have a
couple of local guys that have been, uh, uh, help
so helpful on, on the, with this project, but
also became such good friends and you're, you
know, having a beer with them and shooting
guns with them and, uh, CGC Manny, like those
guys, um, I don't know.
I don't know how often they hang out there, but
do they go to work anymore?
I mean, what's going on?
Cause I mean, he was coming here, you know, it
started off to be a Saturday thing and, you
know, Clint stops by and he came by yesterday.
We were, I mean, every couple of days he
stops by it's, it's, it's, it's therapy.
It is.
You get to hang out with your buddy, you
get to shoot the shit, you get to, you
know, get some stuff done.
And ultimately he's having a lot of fun with
this and, and the next one that we build is
going to be his.
So, okay.
Yeah.
And he's really OCD.
So he's perfect to help with, out with
wiring, you know, so we're learning a lot
from each other and we're having fun at
the same time.
And it's in a microcosm, it's just an
example of the whole space.
You know, it's, it's a lot of fun.

All right, so speaking of projects,
so, you know, it's no secret we
moved out of the warehouse
the end of last year.
And it's been kind of a
whirlwind of of
figuring out how to get back on
to any, you know, any
project, any project vehicle.
I have my ninety five lightning
that's here in
in the in the parking garage.
No real space to work on it, but I
do need to do stuff to it.
And so much of the parts are just
like they're on they're
on pallets and they're wrapped
in shrink wrap and they're put in
storage for now, you know, and
I have the big toolkit over there,
which I can't bring here because
the massive toolbox.
So I kind of have to like
do makeshift toolkits.
Like, well, grab all the things
I think I'm going to need and
haul it over.
But I fired up the truck the other
day, drove
it around the block and
it was terrible.
Like it wouldn't stay running.
It was it was I
don't miss firing.
It had all kinds of issues.
So and and I knew going
into it that also the starter
is bad and the ignition
switch in the steering column.
There's just like
not to get too nerdy into it, but
there's basically like when you
turn the key, there's this
metal thing that slides
back and forth and it wears down
and misses. So what happens?
You get in, you turn the key, it
does nothing.
You turn it off, you turn it on,
you turn it off, you turn it
on. And eventually
it it
finds a contact and it does
it. But you know, if you're
out, you're driving, you got to
go to the gas station.
You may be at the gas station
sitting there trying to start it
again, start it again, start
again going.
People are behind you and it's
frustrating. Like you couldn't
take it to like a Costco
gas station out here because there's
a line of people.
And if if you were standing there
for five minutes trying to start
to think people be losing their
mind, like horns to be buzzing,
people be yelling at you.
So so I'm even nervous
about doing that. I'm more
inclined to like go to a gas
station, fill up five gallon
jugs and bring them here just
so I don't have to go through
that frustration.
So there's a few things I have
to do to it.
I do need to change that
that that piece in the
steering column, which I
I've taken the steering column
and the steering wheel and stuff
off before, but I haven't replaced
this piece. So it'll be
a bit of a learning curve.
Pain in the ass.
It's going to be a pain in the
ass. But at least
I'm in a parking garage in the
shade and I can sit in the
vehicle. What I'm not really
looking forward to is I need
to change the starter.
Not not a complicated
thing, but
you know, without a lift, you
can't move the truck around.
It's like you're just you're
on your back the whole time.
It's dirty lifts
it off the ground.
You know, it's just a positive.
I mean, I need to get it done.
The start, you know, has like a
stock starter on it right now.
And then when it was really
like I would drive it for a
little while and then get to
like a grocery store.
And when I'd go back out, the
starter was too hot.
It wouldn't it wouldn't start.
So eventually I put like a wrap
on it, you know, like a heat
shield. And that helped a little.
But it was just it's just so
the start of the way that's
built in just not
not good. So I got to do the
starter first.
And you you know, you mentioned
Holly, they sent me a starter
a while ago.
And again, it's one of these
things like you had mentioned
with Bilstein.
I've been sitting on the starter
for probably a year, year and
a half, just because I just
don't want to do it.
But I need to do it.
There you go. Oh, by the way,
we're looking at you guys looking
on YouTube. He's moving the camera
on. You got the Porsche out.
You got the Wanda's
Porsche.
That's because Wanda's in it.
And I had to drive it this I drove
it this morning for to the
poultry shop for the first time

original intercooler, you'll
be able to find something.

because there's enough people
restoring them for value
that they're going, I need this,

And, you know, it's a big
supported community,
Porsche community.
It seems like it seems like it.
And I never knew the value of
this car until
I kind of start looking
at, you know, because as of the
last couple of years, those things
have gone up exponentially.
And they're popping up in auctions.
We've seen them up in Monterey.
They're, you know, they're they're
doing well. Like a Turbo S
is really up there, like the last
of the air cooled.
But anything turbo, the Porsche
turbos, air cooled turbos.
They're beautiful cars.

I'm glad she's driving it a

I miss driving that thing.
How analog it is.
And yeah, it's awesome.

95 lightning is because of that
drivability issue.

all of the ignition stuff.
It's been there's a bad
plug on on the
on the coil.
So I ordered the new plug.
Holly, Sename distributor plugs,
wires, all new distributor,
by the way, they have new ignition
boxes, new versions of the 6a,
the 6al.
They have a 6al plus that's
smaller now and has built
in a map sensor because
it there does like that.
Yeah, it's small.
Right. I got one.
It's fricking tiny.
Yeah, it's got built
in like boost, you know,
ignition retard for boost.
It's got the map sensor.
Not that that supercharger on it
is all that great, but it does
have a supercharger on it.
And it was it was it was done
in the old school way.
It was just like you just set
the timing. That's it.
It's got a it's got a
fuel pressure like regulator
on it and just increases pressure.
What the hell is the name of that
stupid thing, the FMU,
the fuel management unit.
But now that we go with bigger
injectors and bigger fuel pumps.
So here's things like I just
wanted to get it running
so I can be able to move
the truck around enough as I do
more stuff to it that I know
I need to do.
I want to be able to drive the truck
there and get it done.
I'm still building the the engine
for it. I have the engine,
you know, the short block is done.
Cam is in it and stuff.
But once we moved out of the
warehouse, you know, all of
that's kind of shelved it in parts.
I've got a full suspension kit
for it that's wrapped on a palette
and sitting there.
So we've got cool stuff to it.
And then, you know, when we
when we made the new door handles
and the new mirrors and stuff,
the door handles are one of them
is on, but it's not finished yet.
I got to finish bolting it down.
And then the glass has to come out
again on the door so I can get
to the backside to replace
the mirrors because I need
a plate behind it.
But even if I wanted to, like,
go and get some help or go over
to Galpin Autosports and go,
hey, let's do this.
Let's do that.
I want to drive it over there.
I don't want to have to flat
bed this thing around waste
all this time and money
getting trailers and flat beds.
Nobody plus Galpin doesn't
want to work on a car like that.
They're like, leave it here.
Come back in two days and they're
going to move it six times, right?
They're going to like, we're going to move it here.
We're going to move it there.
So I just need to get it kind of up
and running to where
it makes sense because they've done
a lot of work on that truck before
when we had a SEMA years ago.
And it's a cool project.
They love that project
and love seeing at SEMA.
But I don't know.
Just it's just not it's just not running.
I mean, we didn't do any engine
stuff before.
But, you know, we'll get
we'll get there.
So I'm starting to think
about the, you know, the car cast
YouTube channel.
We put the podcast up there,
but we used to do the walk around
videos with the cars
that Adam and I were doing.
And we just don't have
the resources to do that.
But yeah, I got to get
some more content back up there.
I miss having some stuff up there.
So I'm going to do what I can
to just, you know, at least grab
the iPhone and go through
the starter installation
and the distributor installation
and the new plugs and wires
and the new MSD box
and see if we can get
this thing running a little bit.
And yeah, I'm just looking for
that glimpse of satisfaction
of working on a vehicle like you
because it's been so frustrating
at this point.
Can I get back to having
at least one successful,
you know, a couple of days of work
and go, all right.
Have something on the list
and actually fricking get it
taken off the list
because you've completed it.
Yeah.
Because there's so many things
that, oh, well, I can't do this now.
I can't do this now because of this
because I'm waiting for carpet
because one thing leads to another.
It's a domino effect
and it's just to be able
to cross things off.
And you're there
and you're staring at it.
You don't have excuses anymore.
You're going, I've got the parts.
I've got the tools.
It's there.
It's like, you got to just do it.
Another funny thing is I was terrified
to take a drill to this car.
Yeah.
In any respect, whether it be.
Especially the carbon fiber pieces
like the dash stuff.
Well, yeah, Manny did that.
I didn't drill those.
I couldn't do it.
I just couldn't bring myself to it.
And, but once you take that leap of faith,
it's not insurmountable
and it's fun, you know.

I just have to do it and stuff.
I'm taken apart.

I didn't mean, I'm not saying your wiring's inferior,
but you know, the wiring that comes with the steering column,
like I snipped all of that
and I'm putting new connectors on it
because those are old,
just kind of cheap old,
the old school way of doing it.
I'm updating it, right?
Just to make it much easier and much cleaner.
I never thought I'd do that.
I mean, I don't need to do that.
I'm just making it easier now at this point
because I know that when I take this car apart
and I have to work on it,
I will greatly appreciate what I'm doing right now.

Well, I will say this.
If anybody's worked on an OBS Ford Bronco F-150
and you've had that issue with the key
that I'm having the issue with,
if anybody's done that before,
reach out before I start taking it apart.
It's that rectangle plastic
with the metal slider that's in there.
And here's my advice to you is to make a video.
When you fix it, make a video of it on YouTube and post it
because I can't tell you how many freaking videos
I'm gonna make for a Cobra
because there've been 10 or 20 instances
when I've had to search for information and guidance
and I have yet to find it.
And I'm not gonna throw myself on these forums
and go ass deep into freaking, I'm not doing that.
So if there's a video that I could reference, awesome.
If there's not, I'm gonna make one
because I'm not the only dude in the world doing this Cobra
having an issue with this specific part.
100%, I'm gonna film it.
I'm gonna talk about it,
even if it's not what fixes all of the issues
because I'm sure there's sort of a chain reaction
of issues, but documenting, swapping out this part
and what I need to go through to get it done.
You're right, I'm just gonna film it
to the best of my ability.
I'm telling you, man, I would.
It's not gonna be fancy, there's no crew.
It's gonna be me and a phone.
And you're helping the next guy out.

You know, I know we're gonna get into some more stuff.
I don't know how much time we have.
I guess we could just touch real quick on the,
this come up about the Corvette.
If you guys are getting the Corvette Z06 or a new ZR1,
you probably haven't gotten the ZR1 yet,
but Z06, by the way, they're having issues
with trying to sell those
because the ZR1 is so cool.
So if you're looking for a crazy awesome sports car
at probably below sticker,
Z06 could be the way to go.
But here's the issue, Z06 and ZR1.
Here in this picture, you see the fuel filler
is above the sort of the rear intake,
this vent on the quarter panel.
And the Z06 and ZR1 has a fan in here
to keep things cooling.
So as you fill it with fuel,
it could potentially suck those vapors in here
into the engine and cause a fire.
So just be careful filling it, don't overfill it,
make sure the nozzle is flush
and GM is working on a fix for that.
There's some sort of vapor shield or something
they're going to come up with
that the dealer can install.
So-
The helmet oversight.
Yeah, a little interesting.
I mean, when you're putting pen to paper and you're going,
oh, the fuel tank's going to be in the back.
It's going to be in this location.
We need the fuel filler there.
And so many of other companies have done it and it's fine.
It was just later when they said,
oh, we need additional cooling to make sure
the engine's cool and everything's cool.
So we need fans and those fans would run
even when the car is off to keep it cool.
That's the issue.
So on your normal C8, it's not the issue
because those fans aren't running, right?
It's when they made more track-oriented versions
of the car.
You would also think maybe there would be,
this probably would be more complicated for a dealer fix,
but some sort of connection between the fuel filler cap,
the door, and those fans,
that if you open the fuel filler door,
it should shut the fans down, right?
Then it's much less of an issue, you know?
Yeah, because realistically,
how long do you got that freaking door open?
Yeah, like even if you were doing like,
you know, running the car hard,
you would, you know, you do a cool down
to get to a gas station or whatever,
and then you run it for five minutes to,
you know, to fill it up with fuel,
and then, you know, anyway,
I'm sure they'll have a fix.
It's fine, but all right.
What else is going on?

No, the truck's being built for a Magnaflow, for SEMA.
Yeah.
Should be right on schedule.
I'm hoping, I'm keeping my fingers crossed,
and had Mr. Kramer from Kramer Automotive come by last week
