So if you guys are listening to this on the day it drops because you are right
Why wouldn't you listen to your favorite podcast on the Monday? It drops 5 a.m.
Driving into work talking about what are these guys what are these guys on about today?
That means you're listening to it the weekend or the rather the week of Thanksgiving
You got Black Friday
You got Cyber Monday and a week also Monday before the official one-year anniversary of our three episode fiery dump if you're new
To the show December 1st 2024 it all started, but we'll talk more about that next week
Also hyper clean store.com Nick Nick never runs specials at hyper clean
But this is the biggest sale of the year the year for you guys, right? Yeah, absolutely
15% off and we can't be more excited man. It's a great time here. Yeah, it's so fun
Oh, also, this is just for me as you get together with friends and family encourage everybody on our behalf to buy a cooler older car
That's just what I want to say to you. I hear you and leave the politics at home
Yeah, please I think we've had enough of that a lot of people good
Everybody's unless unless there's that one person at the table that that they bring if you don't bring it up
That's cool, but if someone else brings it up to you you give it to him
And I know our audience whatever your stance is you get it to him
You just let it let him have it
But dude so I wanted to talk to you about because everyone's gonna be talking about it
We're actually gonna be cutting these clips up earlier than usual because I want them to be out there to get our perspective on it
But the Hamilton collection the Koenigsegg Christian von Koen ever since I was younger
And I found out who you know made the Koenigsegg and the guy's name
This was probably you know a decade plus ago when I found out his name was going back to the rich people with three names joke
That we had a couple episodes back Christian von Koenigsegg. I'm like, what a cool fucking name for a billionaire
Reminded you of RV
Yes, Rob Van Damke, David's one of the best so where do you want to launch off with this man?
I'm sure you got an interesting perspective having been in that world for so long
I will say this is very odd behavior
On both parts right on both parts. Yeah, I
First thing I thought I started getting texts
You know from people who can't afford those things and I got texts from a lot of people that have never
And that will never own those things that are friends of mine and shout out to all you guys listening
I was one of them by the way
I'll say this
Pretty clearly this is about as odd as it can get
Something doesn't feel smell
None of it feels right. Yeah, because let's start here
This happens a lot
Now a lot in the world of hypercars is relative, right? It's not millions of people having this type of experience
but
Ferrari
Lambo, I just told you of an elite Mercedes situation. I've told you, you know about private coach builders and
Anything in this kind of hand-built world, by the way, for those of you that are in the muscle cars these these these
What would you call the spoke rest rest oh my yeah, I mean
On a much smaller money level, there's all kinds of nonsense that goes on and all kinds of things that have to be rectified
I mean, you've even seen some of there's all kinds of big lawsuits that take place and all of this kind of stuff happens
sort of the unspoken rule of all of this is
You handle it in house, especially when you get to the level of a two million three million four million dollar car and
I
Will say for all of you that have maybe gone into a comment section and said, you know
Koenig Zignix needs to make this right and you know if I bought a car that's that
You just have no basis in how this stuff works a hand-built car name the car company
Always has problems now
Some have fewer problems than others
Some of them come with minor problems. Some of them come with major problems
That's been generations. So I want to start with
this is the
odd behavior on both parties but collection
Collections especially don't normally do this and for people that are like have been living under a rock for the last week
Because I know sometimes it's it's hard for people that have good hard-working jobs to keep up with what's going on on the internet
And the car rolled especially
We're talking about an expensive car like a Koenig Zeg
Maintenance we're talking about this few that went online went digital with stories and a whole graphic of
Christian von Koenig Zeg looking like Thanos. It was a really bizarre attack at a person in a company of that stature
Right, so that just wanted to paint that picture there
For people that might not have known and you know
Hamilton the collect the older older Koenig Zeg already in his possession getting a newer one a custom one
So I just wanted to set the scene in case people didn't know that
Yeah, and actually it seems to be centered around a second-hand purchase Koenig Zeg, right, right?
A second-hand hyper clean excuse me hyper car purchase. Hey, if you need some hyper clean for that Koenig Zeg
Let us know we'll send you some out. It is a very is a very real thing, right? Like it's it's
Sort of frowned upon, you know hyper car builders don't like
People buying second hand and then kind of blaming them for stuff that you know looks like maybe the maintenance wasn't done
And I know what I saw a lot of people saying which is you know a car with less than 10,000 miles shouldn't need all that
Hypercars or hypercars man. I'm not saying that some are absolutely better than others and when people say things like
Well, you know Bugatti guys
Bugatti compared to like completely hand-built is not that I know they're in the same segment
But there's Volkswagen parts. There's Mercedes like
You guys are comparing I know the same price level
But you're comparing apples to oranges because there are mass produced parts all over the bucat the Bugatti platform
Like you can use VW parts at certain to fix certain things in a Bugatti
You're not gonna do that with a Koenig Zeg so it's apples and oranges right off the bit right off the rip when you go
Well, you know Bugatti doesn't have these problems. You can write it for 40,000 miles. I hear you
You're just in the wrong lane here, but
Make no mistake a Bugatti a Ferrari a Lambo name the company that you think does hypercars the best and never has any issues
I can guarantee you they've had people because I've been involved with some of us say you sent me this car
I hate it. You need to facilitate me getting rid of this car
Happens
Way more often than people think, you know, I'd be curious. Let us know in the comments everybody
What are your thoughts on this is a question question of the day?
There's always a question of the day by the way on YouTube in the description in case you guys did know that I need more answers to
Those questions by the way because I go every week out of my way to think of the question of the day
You know even though we have tons of them on the show
I think last week we might have said like seven times to let us know in the comments, right?
Let us know in the comments. What are your thoughts on the entire hyper car?
Supercar not even in a collection just that that kind of industry in that world by itself
Like what are your thoughts on the supercar hypercar world because I think a lot of our audience
Loves you know to kind of talk about it from time to time admire that a car show
But our dudes and I should say our dudes Nicole and Bonnie
Which are the only two chicks that I can verify that constantly comment on our stuff
Are into like with the regular stuff that you know
You and I enjoy and always talk about and keep track of as well
But let us know in the comments what you think because you know when I see things like this going on and I see like
How to make your GT3 RS 30 seconds faster at the ring and stuff like it's kind of fun to read about and I wonder
How many other Millennials and elder Millennials are still really caring about some of these topics? Yeah, and
You're exactly right that we've stated on this show many times that that there is a big problem in
Taking these things that used to be special and now they're seen everywhere all the time
And it's really damaging the specialness of these vehicles
Right
So when we get back to talking about this situation, I want everybody to understand
I think I need to tell people logistically how this normally would be handled. Yes, that's a great segue
Yeah, why I think this is so strange. Yes, please and it was trying to explain it to me and I said save it for the show
So he owns
Two or three right? Is that the case? I forgive you to her. Okay?
To but he has one on the way or one and he has one on the way one and one on the way
But I'm gonna confirm as you're talking okay
So
Let's say you bought this car secondhand. You're having all kinds of issues with it
Kona zig is gonna have the point of view like you need to send this in it needs to be here for three or four months
And we need to go through the car that would be the first thing
Just so we're all clear that normally what happened of like hey, sorry about this
I know we have what they have 12 dealers
I think in the United States don't send it to a dealer send it to us give us three or four months
We're gonna sort the car out. We'll get it back to you doesn't seem like that happened. Right. So there's the first strange
Thing that I haven't seen really talked about
The second strange thing is if you had all these problems and you had a car on order and seemingly
You know that is not going well
although
CBK seems to be the guy that laid out the timeline and the timeline kind of favors
Konig's egg on that. I don't want to take a side
But seems like Konig's egg even if they miss a deadline guys hand-built cars miss deadlines all the time
Yeah, go to go to SEMA Ford misses deadlines. They don't even have drive shafts and the trucks in the boat
Why is Ford catching strays right now? I mean anybody Toyota. I mean it doesn't matter
Right, I mean so they had a year to get prepared two years to get prepared and they still don't really meet deadlines, right?
So when you look at all of this, here's what would normally happen and by the way happens pretty regularly
As you'd go I have a car on order
I've paid deposits. I own this car that I paid X number of dollars for that. I've had nothing but trouble with I want to
Dump all my Konig's egg ownership
Okay, it's almost like a stock you'd call your broker
The broker here would be Konig's egg and you'd say I want to dump my Konig's egg
stock which would be these two cars
If they fight you you get attorney involved which by the way anybody buying this level of car has an attorney
Usually in their building on speed dial, whatever
Then Konig's egg would bring their attorney in and you'd have a mediation
And a mediation would basically be you're setting a time frame for Konig's egg
To find you a buyer would be somewhere around six months to a year
Because again, you got to give ample time for this stuff to happen and you'd say hey
I'm not gonna make a stink about this. I just need you guys to facilitate and get me in touch with buyers that want your car
You need to make sure they understand. I'm not trying to be low balled
You maybe even might put a little one page two page five page agreement together of the timeline of things
It wouldn't be some like
monstrosity of a legal document
And it would just basically be like mediation in a divorce
Right, you sit in a room in this case you'd sit on zoom or whatever and you would just hash it out and you would go
Okay, you got 365 days to dump these two cars to another Konig's egg potential buyer
I know I might take I'm willing to take a 10% haircut on each or
20% or whatever you come to
Or you're not willing to take any
Haircut and Konig's egg signs the agreement and you guys, you know dump the cars
That's what makes this strange because this happens all of the time
like it really does and
The fact that neither party is bringing that part up is really strange while they're arguing back and forth
In a very strange that it's even happening world
It's like if you just assume the attorneys would have called each other and said hey everybody be quiet
Let's make a deal. Let's get out of it. So that's where I say
Is this a content play? Yeah, is there is there the tin foil hat and me goes
Something doesn't add up here now. I'm not saying that it doesn't add up
I'm just saying this is so regular to have happened. I mean Stradman dumped his Konig's egg
I was gonna ask about not ask about that
I was actually gonna look it up at a head and because I know he was making a lot of content for a long time with that
I think which was also an aura gear
I believe which is the one that Hamilton had issues with it was secondhand and and it's just funny the way that
Konig's egg was walking around the Jesko that he has on order, right?
And it's just something about the way he said it to like the video was done in a way where it was
You know, it was eloquently put you know, he's walking around the car
He's kind of describing the timeline in a way that seemed much more
Not erratic I guess because that's how I that's how I kind of watched some of Hamilton stuff
And I was like this and then at the very end
I guess to kind of sum it up when he replies back and it's so funny
did we've seen people at the highest levels of power in this world go back and forth on social media and now we're talking about you know
These car collectors and manufacturers are just like what a what a wild world, but he said, you know, good
Good cars bad people or something to that effect about talking about Konig's egg like they build or it's good people bad cars
Something to that effect. Yeah something like that. Yeah, and you know, you've had other collections way in
Right on behalf of of Hamilton. I think triple F guys weighed in worst car we ever owned something like that. Okay
Look, I got people that would say that about certain other brands too. Yeah, you know, this is not abnormal
You know, I have a customer that has great experience with BMW has horrible experience with Mercedes
Right, I mean and they're buying the top level of every one of those cars and they don't like this brand
They like that brand. You're loud, right? I mean, it's just human and by the way, sometimes you get something
That is not the greatest experience
And so you go I can't believe people like this. Well
to cbk's point
you know
They got a lot of repeat buyers if everything was terrible in that building
This company would have sunk long ago
Right in reality because this this is a world. It's kind of unforgiving like if it just was so this problematic all the time
For every owner
That's a wrap. It'd be a wrap by now. Now. It doesn't mean they're perfect either
Right. I'm sure there's a lot of headache. I know there's a lot of headache. I shouldn't even say, you know, it's not even speculation
There's a lot of headache
but
When you are at that level purchasing those cars
You basically don't buy a lot of things that aren't at least some type of headache
Right. And you know what came to came to mind too. It occurred to me
Having been around shop owners of all sorts from tuners to all kinds of other things in the aftermarket world
When somebody gets disrespected
They nobody knows what exactly happened
But this then ignites this whole like vendetta against this shop or the shop owner or this tuner
So something told me and you and I hadn't even talked about this that something may have happened that we'll just
We're just we're just kind of having a story time here on the podcast that um, Hamilton
You know didn't like and that was like his kind of switch. We're like, okay, that's it
This company is getting it and when you have social media power, of course
You know, you and I talked about a situation here recently where
I had to say to somebody like you realize you're talking about a guy that has like 200 million
Followers across platforms if he explodes. Yeah
This is like problematic, right? And I want people to understand. I think everybody's allowed to do what they want
I mean, that's one thing Rob and I stand behind by what you want do what you want your life
This is odd behavior and and where this will get judged and I know that people don't really understand this world
And I I kind of get that
Is amongst the owners that can afford cars like that. This is like stuff you don't do
Yeah, the court of public opinion is unforgiving. Yeah, and you go well, that doesn't really matter
It may matter down the road
You may need to do business with one of those people and they go
Weren't you the guy?
Yeah, I mean it this sounds crazy
But this is why this kind of elevated crowd doesn't do things like this, right
There's a lot of interconnection to a lot of different places around the world
It could be manufacturing could be whatever where these tycoons watch how you act. That's why we we always
Are very surprised about crazy things on the internet because the stuff lives forever, right and
Really smart high-level people knew that before anybody
Like they they just accepted like hey, I'm not gonna do that on the internet
And so I want our crowd to to kind of number one give us their comments and opinions on what's happened
But I want it to be through the lens of
This is odd odd odd behavior
Yeah, my and there's something behind it. That's not being put out
100% I can stand behind that for sure in my clutch culture
10 full beanie always goes on when I see stuff like this and I go right to wrestling a lot of times because of the
Social world the entertainment factor that we live in I even told dick on the phone
I was like this is this screams like classic wwe
But after you watch more videos and even some reactions from other people in that world
You're kind of like okay, and that's what that's when I started thinking about the disrespect factor
I'd like something may have happened that they just didn't like and that was just the end of it
He almost kind of said like let's just burn like was it Goggins? Who's gonna carry the boats?
Hamilton was like we're just gonna burn them off. How about that? I'm not carrying anything. We're gonna burn everything
and by the way
You know
A powerful social media guy just loses, you know, like you said wants to burn the boats. That's what he's gonna do
Yeah, for sure. You know what I mean like
And and I understand that
Oh boy does he
Man, I'm not
I'm not one of these guys that doesn't understand like that. Hey, if that is what you've decided to do
It's your platform do it. I'm not and I want to make this clear. I'm not judging either party. No, no
I don't really know what's happened here. I know one thing
This was all solvable in a five minute mediation, which by the way happens with every brand on big special cars
I mean
from from from four gts that that you know
They made all these rules and people broke the rules and attorneys got involved. I mean
That's a ford. Yeah that that happened on so it happens in the conic zig world. It happens in the bugatti world
It happens in the ferrari lambo world. It happens and when you have big powerful
Brands attached to big powerful wealthy people
Usually a little five minute mediation gets the cars unloaded and it's all good to go
Usually, but you know what the world cannot escape dudes being bros and bros being dudes
All right, and that will sometimes burn it all to the ground
I saw a video and then we'll move on to the subject of uh football players
I forgot which classic, you know, I think it was defensive end or something talking about the story from 15 years ago
Okay, him and this other player get into a beef on the on the field at some super bowl many many years ago
And on the field the guy that got tackled said i'm gonna fuck you up next time
I see you no matter where we are right the other player is like all right bet
15 years later
He sees this guy on the sidewalk and he's telling his buddy like take my hat
Take my phone and because he thought on site no matter how long it's been. We're talking almost two decades later
Yes, just bros being dudes and dudes being dudes guys being dudes like it's
As entertaining as all this stuff is and I think that's the best part of it. Yeah, I just go
It could really boil down to as easy as what you said
Somebody said something cross and he goes you don't talk to me like that and I'll show you
And the next thing you know, he spun his phone around and went off what a world
And here's the thing I I actually sympathize with that because it's like
Every one of us has a point of no return. Yeah, and it could be a small thing. It can be a large thing
But this level of money
Doesn't usually equate to this behavior. Yes, and that's what makes this week kind of strange
Man, I can't wait to see this unfold
We're talking about it just like everybody else the week of and we'll have clips of it out
So please leave us a comment somewhere and give us your thoughts because maybe we left something out
Maybe you can craft up a better narrative or story than we did
But um, look nick has always talked about how much he loves range rovers. All right, he loves we've man
That's one I was actually one of the viral videos defender range rovers those those kind of clips
But you know, he also uses this phrase
Um, what's the phrase that nick likes to use something to the effect of like talk about an uninteresting platform
I think you've said that a couple of times, right? Yes. So I'm going to bring up what I think is
An uninteresting platform, but it has kind of made things interesting and it kind of also looks like a range rover
And that's the 2027 Kia telluride
Yep, I mean
That design language looks very familiar. That is so familiar
I mean close your squints a little bit. That is a range rover. Am I mistaken or the the front grille is is a little
Kia-esque. Yeah
We said this yeah that that is a
Back into this is like you guys just literally ripped off range. I wonder if they're getting letters
legal letters like hey boys
This is what does this not make it interesting though? I mean
It makes it interesting and I've heard a lot of people and I know that I've had a lot of people talk to me about it
Is like, you know, why don't you?
Respect what Kia and Hyundai have done. I do respect it. I do respect that they've stepped up their design language and
But I also ask where do they fit in
if if
Kia and Hyundai are going to go into this upper echelon of I'm not saying all the way to range rover, but they're going to step up into
Toyota land
You know Genesis stepping way beyond Toyota land up into, you know, elite status
pricing wise
Where does they really fit in because I'm not going to I'm not going to say to somebody buy a Kia
when they can buy
a better car
Front to back engine everything in a Toyota Highlander or you know, that's where I just don't understand all of this
which is
Kia and Hyundai to me
And I know all of you want to debate this you can go to those dealerships
And they got engine upon engine upon engine stacked up for engine replacement
That has been the name of their brand since they came out. It's still the name of the brand
so
I like the the fact that the design language is now something we can all respect because they needed to make that step
So you can say great job
But they still haven't gone to the elite level of
Dependability or performance, you know, you got to stand on something
When it comes to your engine platform and it seems these two brands to me want to stand on
Our stuff looks better. And you know what's unfortunate when I heard about when I heard about the rumors of it
I was like, oh, it sounds interesting. And then I saw that they killed the v6
So this bigger heavier larger SUV will now have their two and a half liter four cylinder
And of course you see the words before that turbo charge. Yep turbo charge
So here's a company hybrid that didn't really do engines well
When they were more traditional now, we're going to throw a few turbos in the mix
and
probably thinner oil and longer maintenance times and
Is this good for these brands who couldn't figure it out when things were seemingly easier to build
So 270 horsepower 311 pound-feet of torque 49 more than the v6
I like how that's always like a plus like hey, we got more power out of smaller engines like
Are people really do they like that? Is that really?
Oh, yeah, no, you go to you go and end the comment sections and they they'll say all the time
Hey, you bought your new your old Toyota, but mine is more powerful with a smaller engine
It's like I don't think that's the flex you think it is
We do get that a lot actually on the Toyota stuff. You're right. Yeah, I don't think it's the flex you think it is because
Again, you had to recall
550,000 of the smaller engines already
Dude, it's you know what I mean like and I'm not saying they aren't going to figure it out
But you guys are flexing on things. So so here would be I think the logical way to look at Hyundai and Kia
Technology of non turbocharged engines was pretty much a settled science on reliability
Especially in the last 15 20 years
They never got it figured out by the way. No
Okay, now we're going to go to smaller engines
More turbochargers and we're all just going to act like they're going to get it figured out
When by the way Toyota doesn't have it figured out
on their new platform
And this brings another thing to to mind too and I don't even have it on today's notes
But I just wanted to ask you in case you had heard about it
But like the percentage of cars now that are run by tech is astronomical, right?
Like I think if you just go back 10 let's go 15 years back
The ability to just plug in an obd2 and have your car kind of analyze and get to the you know
Source of the problem or whatever lickety-split now. I think it's somewhere upwards of like 55 65 percent
And by like 20 36 it's going to be over well over 80 percent of cars
We'll need like literally I think somebody in the comments was like I wish that I'd need an engineering degree to fix my car
You know, it's like man. It's so true
and now you add this to it
and
now
And I'm not saying this is for everybody, but
How many people out there can really really take apart a turbocharged engine?
Yeah
I'm not I'm not saying it's like the hardest thing in the world to do
But I mean you're getting you're getting a less mechanically inclined society. You're getting more and more stuff bolted on to an engine
What's everyone gonna do here? I mean like you said those turbos these days isn't possible. Yeah. Yeah, I mean I just don't
And for everybody that just goes well, I recommend that you know
I've recommended to a lot of people to go buy the new Hyundai or the new Kia
I get it man. If it's $20,000 less
For this nice telluride then it would be for you know, whatever Honda's building whatever
You know Toyota's building again get into BMW pricing and all you know, wherever all that falls Mercedes
I understand that
But it seems to me these brands are going we're no longer going to be the cheap brand
And they're going to charge those premium prices
Where does it fit in for all of you?
Because I'm not paying a premium for anything with Kia and Hyundai on the on the badge. That's not that's just not gonna happen
Yeah, those two that that sentence will never go together. They paid a premium for this Kia
Yeah, it's not it's it
And if you guys love yours and you're like I have one it's been great
I have 10 other people that go bought the new telluride massively underwater
Interiors falling apart. This is falling apart. I've been at the shop
Again, not that that doesn't happen with other brands. Okay, I understand that
But the whole idea was I was buying a Kia because I was getting a steep discount
That's largely gone
Why are you choosing them? Yeah, and I will say I love turbos. I've always looked back in the day in high school
My gamer tag was a built by boost. By the way, that's how much I love turbos
so just saying
That sound is just intoxicating. I don't I don't think you were
Hyped on Kia turbos. No, I think back then they were literally looked at if a leaf fell on it would blow up
So it's like a simpsons episode of the leaf fall didn't I'll never forget
I had a buddy who had a car dealership that didn't do so well and they bought a
A Hyundai at auction on the wet driving at home from the car max auction the back end auction
The thing just blew up on the freeway and it was like seven minutes drive time. There you go. Like
Guys, you just don't forget that stuff people
You know like you just don't forget that stuff
This is where I look at it and go if it is cheaper and significantly cheaper
That is when I go. This is worth the risk
Look, okay, so I'm gonna I was going to talk about genesis next man
But I have another story. I'm just going to jump to the to the front here the line
So leap motor a10 small ev crossover. It has become available in china
So this is a totally random, you know story that I heard but
Every once in a while hearing what's going on in china
Is just interesting because they make a lot of interesting evs and they have like like I don't know 50 companies
Half of them are going under literally in the next 12 months, but they're still doing their thing, right?
Yeah, they got 50 companies and one gets all the government basically
You got like three and then one there's like the number one
But the interesting part of this and I'll show it to you
Maybe you can tell me what you think it looks like because the price of it
Based off what you just said is what really piques my interest here before we get to the price
What does this look like to you?
Uh
Does that have like a Porsche feel oh, I didn't even think that yeah, I was thinking honda
Which is basically like the honda hrv that front end kind of has like that mcconn. Yes, you're right
cayenne type
I mean
We're just going to gloss over the fact that like some chinese brand tried to do this like climbing adventure
On the wall and then it like slid down. I don't know man. I think all of us have I guess not all of us
I just don't know what all of this is so it's really hard to comment except saying
I don't really believe anything that comes out of this
Okay, okay. What do you think this is going to run in us dollars?
17 oh wow, how good uh 14
1070 usd. Yeah, you'll you have people in the comments go. I mean, I don't care where it's billed. It's 14 grand
Yeah, dude. That's me right now
He said it's over right now for 14 grants brand new with all the amenities for the regulations
We'd have cheap cars everywhere
Yo, that video continues again guys. We've said it several times but some of these older Toyota
Reels just keep getting crazy the level the level of delusion is like my favorite thing just so everybody's aware of my
What what really makes me laugh is when I watch people go, you know, they sell a car overseas
I'm aware. We're aware. We're aware
I guess guess what they also know the rules to get into the u.s. Market
They don't want to meet the rules because you numbskulls are paying 65 grand for a Tacoma
So that's why they don't want to bring it here. Yeah, that is lost on everybody that comments that similar kind of phrase
Yeah, and they're all Toyota fans. It's like yeah guys as long as you keep over paying for these trucks
They're good that they're they're not gonna they're not gonna cook the the golden goose, dude
Like you guys want cheaper stuff stop buying the $65,000 Tacoma
Yeah, and instead buy gold because you're gonna wish you did later
Gold bug gold bug alert
And silver if you want, uh, but I just thought it was interesting, you know
14 grand you send this shit over right now like you'll sell yourself quite a few of them
Here's just some some bigger shots of it. I just thought it's just kind of interesting looking
Yeah, I guess the front end doesn't look as much. It kind of looks maybe mini Cooper jinks. No, no, uh, no HMO
Um, I kind of yeah that kind of like that to look green your favorite
Yeah, green looks nice. Yeah, it's not bad. That's not bad. Um, I'm in
I'm just like that. I'm in I'm in give me a $14,000 Chinese EV dude. What if slate comes out like guys?
We can give it to you for 15 grand
I I'm wondering where Slate's at and all of this. Yeah, what about the guy, uh
Excuse me
What about the guy
That took over the old factory
That that is building
You know trucks now
Or building vehicles now and he's he's been doing it for a couple years, but he hasn't built anything
He's like took this old factory over and he said he's gonna use all these
New technologies to revolutionize
And I don't know if it's in Detroit or something somebody sent me something so I apologize if I'm getting it wrong
No, no, no, it's interesting. It's not like I wasn't like a it's not an EV specific thing, right? It's just trucks in general
I forget what he's doing, but it's maybe it's like misfits or you know, something like that or
Gotta add to my uh, you know, monstrosity
Some kind of
I'll put it on my list and I gotta look that up because if
Imagine if it's like a nobody no name that just all of a sudden whips up some kind of cheap technology
No, he is he's just like a normal guy. Well, there you go. All right
We're definitely out the reference side on the next episode
But here's a really interesting one talk about interesting cars at least I thought but I'd love to see what nick thinks about
What good old genesis is doing in the world of
Supercar or I guess mid-engine halo cars is what they're calling it but genesis unveils the halo car named the magma gt concept
I mean that gives vibes of like grand charismo the last unlockable
I'm gonna ask everybody this question at what point does chevy and hunday
Oh, ferrari money for copying
The four five eight slash four eighty eight platforms
Like at what point do we
You know start paying some royalties here
It depends was ferrari killing it when uh, that nintendo game f zero was out because a lot of people still they took designs from that video game
Looks great
One of the things we all have said about hunday is boy, they're doing design correctly. Yeah, they've hired all the right people
To do design correctly. I believe they have some some people from the m program at bmw that might be working
With them as well. I don't want to say that for sure, but i'm almost certain i'm right about that
okay
I
Again if it's at a price point I can buy something that's more established in the market
How many of you are going to take a risk on a hunday product?
I I don't think that's going to be a large number. I'm prepared to be wrong, but this is where we get to this whole world of
It looks awesome
Like you know, they they did a wagon. They they did this, you know, all this kind of stuff. It is unveiling
Yeah, man, this thing looks awesome
Uh, you guys want to tell me you're the sports car listener out there is going to go buy this
Okay, I'll wait to see it. I don't think you will but we'll get into the secondary market by the way here
Here's the deal you guys didn't buy nsx
Well that car was that was pretty lackluster this if this has a a thousand horsepower or whatever the hell
I mean it'd be a little different
Yeah, I mean, so does elucid. Okay. I saw one on the road for the first time in a long time
Hey
Those things are fast. Yeah, they are I mean it flew by it literally it flew literally off the ground
I was a guy what he did and then I was like, oh look elucid. Look at you. Yeah
Everybody's got to know lucid dreams. Yeah, literally. Yeah. Well the way he was driving
He was going to be having a long-term dream pretty soon
Pretty wild these EV drivers are getting out of hand in austin. I'll tell you we had a 12 car pile up like in an intersection out here
This week 19 year old just acting a fool acting a fool by the way
I was highlighting here for nick it says that
The sports car could compete with everything from the c8 generation corvette to the ferrari 296 gtb slash gts
All right, looking forward to seeing it pretty cool. Be claims. Yeah, what's the price point? Did they give that?
I did the way you said that did they give that huh showing off all his beauty. You got a price for it
I love this. We did an unveiling this looks like this is going to be expensive. Yeah, instead of buying a z06
You guys are going to buy this Hyundai concept. Come on. No, there's no price. There's no, of course, there's no price
And by I hope they build it right we want more sports cars built
I hope they build it. I'll be the first one to go my guess is this will be cancelled inside of a five-year period
Do you yeah, I was gonna say do you really hope they make it then if that's the case?
Yeah, because I mean I want people to prove me wrong you guys because this is what we'll get in the comments
Well, it's the new Hyundai. It's not the old hunt great, but you don't buy them
Like you're not going to buy this if it's 128 thousand dollars
Let's just furthermore get nick more wild up. Okay. I got to bring this up because I'm just gonna skip the line here
I got my own notes. I'm not even following because I'm being a rebel today
I'm just doing I want to be at a rebel today Porsche reveals the 2026 cayenne electric with
39 horsepower turbo model
Yeah
That's interesting and I love the people
Again, let's air quote journalists that got to see this and they're going. Oh, this is so what's exciting
Well, I mean, what's exciting it's another ev that has a thunder a thousand somewhere between 900 and 1200 horsepower
It does have thunder. It's a lot. I don't think it's lacking as thunder under the fucking hood of this thing
everything else
okay
like
It's another expensive ev the the market in my opinion has spoken on these
Am I wrong the automaker has been teasing a thousand horsepower and it was no joke, nick
But you can pull over a pad now, right? You don't have to plug it in
You can pull over like a pad and it'll charge so it's going to have the 800 volt arc architecture
Of net capacity the battery is integrated into the structure for less overall weight
I didn't see anything about a pad in this particular write up, but you may be right
I think it's I mean think about it like, uh, you know
Magsafe on the back of your phone like basically you can pull over and we've been hearing about that for a while too, right?
But it's been so slow and just never really been a thing. But yeah, so I don't know how that'll work
I mean, we got to see that play out, but it looks like they are going to try to integrate that here
Although let me go back to this real quick. You you even referenced the similarities in that china ev
This kind of looks like and now that you mentioned it
Rob, I don't just say things on the podcast blood. That's not true. You definitely say things
But sometimes, you know, a broken clock is right twice a day as I say
Hey, if I say enough stuff, Rob, I'm gonna be right at least once. Oh, yeah
Why do you think I say so much shit often? Is this like, okay, some of this stuff is gonna be accurate
This is gonna stick. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. At least we hope if you say with enough charisma anything can stick
We've learned that from the internet. Yeah, I would be curious
I know a lot of Porsche buyers. I don't I'm not getting a lot of text of excitement out of this. I mean again
When we all get to the bottom of where we're at with expensive evs the market has spoken to Mercedes to Porsche
You know name name the company BMW sales aren't great for any of those companies. I mean the eqs platform has already been basically wiped away
Is Porsche gonna buck that trend because they have a more fanatic fan base. I don't really see that happening
No
Um, I mean you can pick up a Taycan cross Turismo for like 60 grand that used to cost 180
Is it really 60 grand? Yeah, like 61 anywhere between 60 and 75 thousand dollars
What a time. I mean, how about you pick one of those up for the channel?
It'll be your first tv
You know one of the funny thing I told everybody we had one of the first Taycans in the u.s
And it bricked itself out of light. Right. I've driven the Taycan a lot. Um, I think it's enjoyable
Is it special like I can't wait to get back in it. No seating positions weird for me
Uh, it's sat way too low for for being a four door. You couldn't get anybody in the back of that car
It was it's which is really strange for a four door sedan
I
I am very interested because these companies have invested so much
That they have to roll some of this stuff out
I wonder again, like we said, we would pay money to be in the boardroom
To for all the decision makers to go. Yeah, we got the new cayenne out
We're already planning that this is going to go horribly
So let's go ahead and figure out when we're going to take our quarterly losses so we can all
You know not screw with our bonuses too much
Like I just loved because you know those are maybe it's happening on the private jet the company jet
Someone somewhere everybody's going. How do we mitigate my bonus being screwed up?
That's literally what's going on
100% 100%
Um, I was talking to nick did it on the phone and I guys I really want a truck
I might even open this up to the audience
I convinced me of a truck to buy that's within reason because I just the use of it just comes up too often
And I kind of hate just not having one anymore
I had one couple back in the day a couple of them big small and I told nick
It was it got to the point where the bigger trucks are so expensive as we've talked about that
I might just get a ranger like because I loved my four liter ranger back in the day
And I went to go look at them on the low end. We're talking with like still 70 80 100 miles 20 thousand dollars
On the high end 30 thousand dollars with about 40 or 50 thousand miles
And I just thought I just can't that was more than the 2010 cost in 2010
If you buy that that would be electric for my jokes
So I mean for my comedic
Yeah, you know existence on the show
I kind of need you to overpay for a ranger so I can just be like wait a minute
You're talking back to me when you overpaid for a ranger, you know, I kind of just need that in the back
I never live it down 30 thousand dollars. By the way, should you? No
Unless every time that I'm driving it. I play that song. I'm no stranger
four fucking ranger
That's the only thing I'll play on the radio
So, I mean you kind of get into like old fords old Chevy's, you know, half tons
Right, I mean, it's where you're gonna have to live to find something that you would really enjoy
Or nick made a very good point of what he would buy. You remember we used to on the phone the other day
What what Cadillac you would buy the other day? Oh the old school escalate the old school escalate and the ext 100 percent
So basically an avalanche, right? Yes
Absolutely, I would absolutely buy that you would you would buy that in daily that as an actual like your car buddy
I'm dailying a 2003 lx. No question me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but like let's not pretend
Don't dare me Rob
And it was in a rare color. It was like riptide blue riptide blue. I saw like one ever
First thing I said to you is I would totally buy this because it was like what 12 grand
Yeah, something pretty low maybe 15 on the high end. I think 140 thousand miles on it
Like yeah, I couldn't if I was in the market. I couldn't buy that stuff quick enough
I mean two-door Tahoe's if I could come across a good one
95 Bronco, you know, I mean there's just ones that I just go right price like come on
Yeah, I'm kind of living in that world man
Like I sent Nick a link to a guy in north, Texas that eventually I'm just kind of next year
I'm going to reach out to him before that because he's just an interesting dude
And maybe because we're going to start doing as I've mentioned
Extra episodes maybe I haven't mentioned that maybe I have where we're going to have some guests on the show
And he's just doing it right man
Like if you want a truck like what's the equivalent of your lx right now if you were to buy like a modern car
Would it just be another lexus Toyota of that size?
Yeah, I mean you'd be still in the lx platform. Maybe I mean my gx is probably
Yeah, so but yeah, I mean you're right. You'd be
You know Tahoe
You know
You maybe could talk yourself into like the sequoia platform
That's one you don't see enough of I love me a sequoia. Well, I mean they're 90 grand
Everything's 90 grand these days though. But are you gonna pay 90 grand for a sequoia? Hell no
But by the way they have camouflage fender flares
Actually, those look cool. You don't like those. Yeah. Yeah, come on. Come on. You don't like those
Why why would I like them because they look cool? You're like this. I don't want you to see my fender flares
I want to blend them in you know, so ironically
You see nobody sees me. No, no, no, ironically you do see him because it like kind of sheen's and glares
Like oh, is that carbon? Is that just by the rain just by the ranger so I could have any of those jokes
God been fiber they look like
Camo
I do
Hey, if you've never owned one if you need a little truck go find yourself a good ranger with the four liter not the three liter
Preferably an older four liter as well. Those are really good. Half a million miles. No issues
The only thing that that happened was a catalytic converter got clogged up
Was just throwing smoke and I was like, oh my god the truck's on fire. I look under there. I was like, no
It's just needs to be replaced dirty
So you just went down to downtown houston said somebody steal this
Um, yeah, all you got to do is just park it. Hopefully they don't take the whole truck
But you know, yeah, yeah, just take the convert just put a sign on the side. Yeah, exactly
Oh, good times. Um, do you want to know what the suv of the year is according to motortrend?
Do you want to take a guess take a good guess?
Motortrend suv of the year got to be something electric for 2026
I'm not giving you hints man. Just you know, you know, you know, don't you don't just you don't just say things
Well
Electric cayenne. No
I'm gonna just go ahead and pull it up. You're not gonna get it
The Cadillac escalate iq
Oh, I should have said that that's a big miss by me. I know you spent some time with this thing
Yeah, yep, but but at least I knew motortrend's
mo was we're gonna make sure you
Love evs even though we know you don't buy them the disappointment in that we have we have a couple in my neighborhood
I think they kind of look
A little too tall in person. They do look okay
I know people are like, oh, it's one of the best designed suvs. Those people need to have their head examined, but
it's
It's a big vehicle
That the spacing doesn't feel right. I haven't I don't think I've been it. Have I been in the 26 or was it the 25?
I love the ipad pro that flips up here at the bottom
Nothing nothing says inventive like putting an ipad pro just in the middle of the console
That's part of it if you could take it out that'd be the best
Yeah, you can take it to work and draw on it and then put it back in your car
Yeah, for your design firm, you're gonna design on the way home put it in autopilot and then just keep drawing on your ipad
You're gonna work on fiverr and then get back in your escalate iq
Not even doing your own work anymore. I'd be interested to get in the back again
Because it's it was pretty bad. I don't know if they fixed any of that for any of you that have been in the 26. Let me know
Okay, it's it's a it's an suv escalate is always popular
I should have guessed this so let's let's take let's take an L for neck
That was I thought because it was the second year of it. Maybe I would
you know
Not happening they would go to another one who ever paid the biggest amount allegedly
Oh, man, that is just too funny. Uh, but hey, if you do enjoy it and you like it
I hope you enjoy it for more than yeah, no, I got I got a couple people in my neighborhood. They
Like them, you know, I mean
It weighs a lot and it's
Very limited on space for how big it is. So that's that's a strange reason to buy a three row
Good times good times. Okay. Would you like to for the last 50 minutes of the show or so go through the 2025 la auto show
best best of
I thought we were gonna go through your boys
Uh about the chevy yy gm has gone to
Collect everyone's data. I thought that was this week
I know it should have been this week guys
But between the hamilton and just black friday stuff we're doing I did not do it justice with but I will say
I'm we're still gonna do it. It's very clear to me. I said two things literally a year ago
One everything would be tokenized
Everything in cars subscription services, right? We're seeing more of that come together
And then when jeep started pulling up ads in your center console that would just randomly pop up for like coca-cola or whatever the hell
We talked about advertisements in your in your console, but remember it's all for safety rob all for safety when you get this big loud
Advertisement in your center console. It's just for safety. You know, that's that's that's all we do
We do all this text about safety. You don't get it 100% right
We were all dying left and right in the other 2000s with cars that didn't have this which by the way
I look at every time like a dodge stuff, man. I'm like god this interior was so bad back in the 2000s
But I can't like some of these cars, but that's for another story
And so now thirdly to wrap it up
We had the commercials and stuff on your on your dashes and shit and then all this other nonsense
But now it's fully come around that data is is the goal for all these companies. They're not making enough on the cars
Services going all to this electric, you know nonsense that people aren't buying
Um, they just want your info neck. They want to know where you go where you stop
Did you stop at the 7-11? Did you poop at the 7-11?
Did you buy a snack at the 7-11?
And they want to consume all that data through the cameras through the microphones through the screens in your car
Everyone across the board not just gm, but this gm. Applegate thing really did kind of set that ball in motion
So that's where that's where I gotta if you have anything to add to that
But that's where a lot of these stories and write-ups that our our listener had said. Yeah, I mean, I think this is what's interesting to talk about is
This to me the one thing always left out is
What does this play into the insurance of your car?
You know when your car is spying on you essentially
I mean, there's no other word to really use and it's doing it 24 7 and it knows how you use the brakes and I mean
The only logical thing here is the car companies selling this massive amount of data to state farm and all state
And you get into an accident. They're going to be able to subpoena the records or whatever comes of this
It doesn't feel like this is about safety
Not at all
Right and
That is the drum
These animals have been hitting
forever
meaning
The quote-unquote journalists
The quote-unquote executives the tech and the safety and tech and the safety
Cool
Why is this happening now if it was all about the safety?
Because it wasn't it wasn't really about just safety. It was doing things for the sake of doing things, which I think was the first thing
I think that was the first thing of all of this
They did it because they thought they could stack stack tech on tech on tech and sell the new buyer
The unseasoned buyer that tech was somehow going to make your life better
Tech stacking
It doesn't matter if it's your phone your computer
Or your car it has a limit
Yeah, so they've by far exceeded that limit many of you complain about the tech
I know just in my gx the binging and the dinging and all of the tech it's it's way overkill
So now they can't keep tech stacking and sell you
so they start selling this
cars safety and safety features and safety and safety
And now all of a sudden we're going to get rid of apple because we we're telling you it's about user interface
And everybody in the tech world is going
That's not true
This is what you're going to do with the data because this is what google does with the data and this is what apple does with the data
And this is what oracle does with the data
You guys aren't playing a different game. So now think of all the people who've carried the water for car companies
Saying tech was about safety. Tech was about making your life better. Tech this tech that
you've now
Been told the real story that tech is about spying on the people
Driving the car and again. I'm not saying all of that is from some big conspiracy
It's to sell you more products. It's to sell you another subscription. It's to know your habits
It's to sell those habits to this company and that company you brought up 7 11
Hey rob goes to 7 11 every morning before he goes to the job site
All of a sudden in your email box is all these 7 11 offers
All of the ads on your facebook is hey, come get a new monster energy drink at 7 11
Right like this is the game
And if it was all about safety
How did this even come up in the boardroom?
Do you remember the story of what I think it was uh, we'll call it the japan china what they did with burger king and traffic
No, so using geolocation. They encouraged buyers. There were some big billboards around this little hub of area
We'll call it maybe the strip by your shop where you just traffic always stacked up forever
Right, it literally you'd be in traffic sometimes for over an hour just in this one section got billboards
Encourage people to download the app because you'd get a really good deal on your first order
And then when they knew you would be stuck in that app
They would send out deals where they had a fleet of bicycle and scooter drivers. They would send you a whopper do it
And tuc tucs driving around exactly exactly and then they would give it was like a
We'll just call like a dollar 99 whopper meal whopper fries drink. There was no other choices
It was just that so using again back to the data the technology of where you are your location, right?
Are you likely to buy this?
What are you likely to buy when are you likely to be in traffic and want to eat?
You know you're hungry or whatever and dude their their revenue skyrocketed forever
It works
I mean
consumerism is the most universal thing globally. Yeah
and
I just don't think this is what a car company should be doing now. I understand revenue and I understand shareholders and I understand the world changes
What I don't ever
really
Get down with is when you tell me why you're doing something
And within a very short period of time it becomes clear that that wasn't really the goal at all
I'm not saying you're not trying to make cars more safe. Sure
Okay
That seems to be the afterthought though that just seems to be the byproduct of gathering this data because
all of the sudden if you were
Mary Barra at GM
and
Getting rid of apple was a safety thing for your user interface. You would have said that a thousand times in a 10 minute interview
That didn't really happen. It's true
Why because five years ago, that's what would have happened
She'd have been like you got to realize we're going to do these safety features and this is safer and that's safer
and this is safer and the crumple zone safer and these sensors help people and
kind of gone
overnight and her little
interviews about this
It's now well, you know, it's kind of clunky
What do you guys care about clunky? Your engines are blowing up
I
You're not you're not the foremost expert of non clunky stuff, you know, like doesn't make sense
There's more people that don't know about the intricacies of like the car world than those that do so
We'll say our audience, you know as big as it is is and is growing
It's still is nowhere near the amount of people that just don't know a lot about how cars have been put together
That all these conversations we're having about data and technology and safety
So when people say like these people aren't doing their jobs, we'll just use any big, you know, big wig at a company
They're actually doing exactly what their job is which is making their shareholders as much money as possible
Because there's way more people who are going to be gullible enough to just bite on the newest shinyest kind of thing
Which is great. I love consumerism. Love capitalism, but we can't fool ourselves
There's just there's never going to be enough people that know or understand how it works to want to kind of rail against it
honestly
Yeah, and and they're doing like you said
I mean if if your top shareholder says
You need to start doing this and you want to keep your job and not be booted from ceo, you're going to do it. Yeah
I mean, it's hard to find another 25 million dollar job paying that
I mean, you know with the prestige globally of being the head of a car company
There's a few things that when you're the executive of these types of kind
It's like being the executive of an oil company that's global being an executive of banks
Being an executive of investment firms being an executive of car companies. There's only so many of those jobs
Yeah, you know, it's sort of like getting into the mba or the nfl or major league baseball
There's a limited number of spots
So once you reach that height like jim farley, he's not going to be like, hey
I'm just going to go over to this upstart car company that has four dollars in the bank
Right like that's not what he's going to do. You know, he's a quote-unquote car guy
that's not going to happen and
What move could he make?
After he leaves for that would be a step up for him. It's a pretty small number
So shareholder comes up and goes
You need to start selling data. We own shares and these other companies
I've already talked to their boards and their executives. They could use it. We could sell it for this much money
Which by the way, if you think jim farley's putting those deals together
It's the shareholder big dogs that own shares and 50 different companies and go
We've already laid out who you guys are going to talk to so put this in the car and i'm not saying it's this brass or
You know this, you know right in your face, but make no mistake. That's the manipulation going on here is these shareholders that own
Part of state farm and they own part of all state and they own this and they own that and they own
The parent company to 7-eleven and you know, whatever the case may be
And they go these people would really like that data. Can you make that happen?
Absolutely say less and and and so you you bring up a good point
We all make jokes about mary borough or jim, you know farley or whoever
But they are playing to the crowd
That they have to play to to keep their job and that is the shareholder
And make no mistake mlb
I got to say this because you brought it up going into the lockout
We're going to see some of the craziest moves from players to teams
So if you like baseball follow me we'll talk baseball on the in the dms
It doesn't always have to be cars, you know, it can be but it didn't have to be
I do have to bring this up because we talked about genesis already
And we didn't I didn't bring up a picture of it
And I just wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't bring up the potential wing back
Right that this g90 g wagon or rather this g90, uh wagon. What are your thoughts on this one thoughts on looks good, right?
Looks good, but if I read it right
They didn't allude to the fact that this was
Like a production idea. Well, yeah, let's see. Yeah, jenesis might actually put the g90 wing back into production is what car and driver wrote
Yeah, I kind of I kind of read some other stuff from the unveiling that there was
Language at the unveiling that made people believe this was like a pure concept. I hope it's not
As a wagon fan looks great looks incredible
Genesis and I have to say this so people don't get mixed up. They do an awesome job on design
They have been for many many years now. It's not new
This is another one looks really good
I hope it makes it to production so we can see all the people that tell me they would buy one buy one
This is all about pricing. Yeah, this is this is a this is a six-figure wagon
We've stated before
You can't tell me people don't want wagons when all you build is a hundred and forty thousand dollar wagons
That's that's not I don't think we can make an assumption that nobody wants wagons
I think a very small percentage of people want 125 to 150 thousand dollar wagon
And this looks like that's what it's going to be 125 plus thousand dollars
I don't think it'll do well, but it looks great. It does look great
But as I'm reading here twin turbo charge v6 only making 300 75 horsepower. Hey, let's uh take it easy there
Bump it up some uh electric. Yeah, I mean what do you get an amg wagon? You're at what 500? Yeah easy
409 with an electric supercharger. All right, we need to rethink that everybody. Uh looks cool though. It looks fantastic
Um, I will say the the front of these genesis has always looked to me like they're going to be outdated in 12 months
They do have like a smite. You remember the old velocity channel. Yes. Oh, yeah that v
That's what the front looks like. Oh good one. Hey bravo. That was one. I didn't cut deep cut. Did not see that one bravo, sir
Yeah, all right. Yeah, you're right though. I don't know how that'll age. Yeah, it's not good unfortunately
Um, I'm gonna bring up one more thing just for funsies. Uh, we'll get into maybe some LA auto
We're not gonna bring up the fact that we're gonna get a new jeep every month. We're not bringing that up today
Well, I was gonna bleed with that on the LA auto show, but you know, I people would love to know here
Let me just show you actually real quick. We had time because it's friday everybody's everybody's relaxing everybody's chilling
Check this one out real quick. This is some of the greatest hits according to car car usa news
This is the jeep uh recon
Okay, all right
No, not a fan. I mean, it's I mean, it's something I mean how many more renegade how many how many more four door jeep products
Do I need?
Do you have I don't know all of them how much space you got like you're not gonna buy a two door
Yeah, I mean I had two door jeeps, but I mean I never owned a four door jeep in my life
I was a real jeep guy. Oh, he was a oh, okay. Sorry. I was a real truck guy. It's why I bought a 4.0 ranger
Let's keep that in mind. Okay a real truck guy
Um, this is what the renegade should have been um back in the day. By the way
Great color combo. Are you being serious because I do like this. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's a great color combo
Green green with any type of tan is an all-time gentleman spec
I will always take black over tan if I if I had the choice, but I do like the way this tan looks
Yeah, against that green looks great. Yeah, kind of baby diarrhea green, but it still looks really cool. Yes, it does
We already talking about trying to bash it, dude
Just subtly giving you jabs for your taste. We already talked about the tail you ride
I'm just gonna run through these the Hyundai the the crater. They got they got the kc bars like it's walker texas ranger over there
Now we're now we're talking about a real truck guy
When when walker texas ranger slid into a scene with that in that truck that dodge or that shed?
Got them lights on the top. Hell yeah, brother
Um this rogue plug-in hybrid. I mean rogue is gonna rogue
Yeah, looks good. Yeah, I mean for what it is
Lucid speaking of their their gravity touring here basically a Kia carnival with a
a lot of power
What a reference. I mean, it's what it is. It's a Kia car. I saw one in a parking garage at uh when I went to sema
Yeah, what'd you think? Kia carnival, right? Yeah, it's it's a it's a van
I'm gonna end with a van video. By the way, just keep that in mind. Keep that in the back of your head
Um, here's another little little blue Volkswagen bus that could man. That looks so good. I do like these
We've talked about these months and months ago. Um, they're so good get a dual motor one
If we could get it for like 40 grand, that's a hell of a car to have I gotta post a picture
I got a like a a green on white old school
Uh vw that we we take care of I gotta post that sometime. I gotta look to our pictures put it on the stories
Mustang maki california special it's so fun. I'm glad they did this because why not if you do california specials for the Mustang
You might as well do it for the Mustang EV
Yeah, I guess I mean just an appearance. I'm really kind of wondering
Uh, how maki and they sell a fair amount of them. Obviously they outsell the regular Mustang
Kind of curious what they're gonna do with this platform. Aren't you? Yeah, it feels like it's time to start
I don't want to say a full redesign, but I think they need to start
Thinking about what the next iteration of this is well lawsuits have already began with ford
Since they're scrapping the lightning and some a lot of their EV products
So they've got vendors already taken forward into the courtrooms for a contraction
I'm gonna be able to basically commit to I'm gonna I'm gonna be honest
Do you think ford gives a rip about a lawsuit? Oh, no
Jen is gonna be signing, you know papers
Are with jim far with a jim fallon rather. Hey, how about your boy?
With Toyota they're they're investing big in the us. Hey, I was gonna you know what that's too big of a story to give
Right now. I was gonna bring it up. But yeah, he was all he was uh, he was all trumped out at the at a NASCAR event
People were not happy with him in the comments
I'll tell you that speaking of another guy that doesn't give a rip what you think dude
I like america. All right, cool. We like you too. Thank you America
America allows me to sell
$78,000 tundra's I can I love this place. Toyota love america
100% you would too if you owned Toyota hundred percent. I don't know what this is. Is this uh, a filo one
A feel like I'm I feel like I'm most is like answering the phone. I'm looking for a feeling
They got the usc
Fight on on the front. So it's got the usc look to it. Mm-hmm
A filo. Yeah, I'm looking for a filo a filo one
Yeah, this is the sony and honda thing. Oh, that's right. I just saw that here sony honda
That was that was short lived for a little bit, but I guess it's back
Yeah, always been priced improperly always been priced. What do you expect from sony and honda?
Yeah, well, you go try to buy sony anything. You're like, you do realize like there's a lot of options now
It's very funny. All right. Um, we're gonna land the plan with this video that unfortunately if you're watching on youtube
I can't play the audio so you're gonna miss this. Uh, but if you're listening on the podcast version of it
You can you can be able to hear this check this out, nick
Uh, let me just lower the volume here. Hopefully
Welcome to the Chevy Astro interior
Had this up way quicker. What?
You heard me. I didn't share it. My bad. My fault. My bad g
Boom, there we go. Welcome to the Chevy Astro interior
Nothing ever got to me
No matter how comfortable it looks it never forgets that it's a Chevy truck
Astro from Chevrolet
Dude and the caption is imagine a bigger moment than this for a dad in 1998
Hey, that like a rock just still hits. Why don't they just bring it back?
I'm saying we need to be bringing a lot of stuff back and with clutch culture and in our audience
We hope to do that in the next in the new year. They got to bring it back. It just works
Oh, it's so good. I laughed so hard when somebody sent me this video
I was like, I can imagine you like if you had a family you were 1998
You're like, what do we what do we bind as our next family vehicle?
Have you seen those new vans by a general motive? Have you seen the suburban's? Yeah, have you seen the
Honestly, any of them we've talked about it before. Have you ever have you changed your mind safari astro?
You know all of the different vans from the time
No, no, no, I'm
I would love we we tried to promote one of our first videos. Remember that low mileage astro
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Low miles. I mean you and I were like
Who's not buying this which it seems like they are people are buying them because they kind of rotate a lot of those vehicles
That we talked about early on in the show and people that seem to be scooping. Yeah, and it
Remember the context of it is everybody was talking about how expensive everything is and we saw like a 30,000 mile
Astro van and it was like 10 grand. Yeah, it's like, I don't know man. Just get that
Like it's still cool. Yeah, like I don't care if you don't think it's cool. I think it's cool
Geez that got really aggressive
Okay on that note on that note, do not forget it is black friday coming up cyber monday 15 off hyper clean store.com
We uh, we'll leave we'll leave you with this. Maybe we can talk about it by this time next week or at least in early december
We've got a really cool partner on board. All right. We're finishing the year very strong
We had a great call. We basically did a podcast before the podcast today. So my juices are high
I'm glad i'm hope nick nicks juices are just as high because we're accomplishing what we set out to accomplish
It's been a surely but surely
Slowly but surely steady kind of uh
Operation so do you want to add to that because I know we're both making moves in those directions
But it's taking longer than I think we both thought it would
Yeah, we have a lot of respect of who we want to do business with but you know
A lot of content creators have really burned some brands like when you hear stories and you're on these phone calls you realize
A lot of the things you guys have seen in the automotive world
Especially content creation is people didn't deliver on a lot of promises
Maybe even fleece some of these brands in some ways that were you know
We're very very very very below board
Um, so we're having to kind of clean up on aisle five so to speak
You know all of this kind of thing, but we have a partner on the lx that video is getting edited
unbelievable
Couldn't have been easier to work with you guys will probably be here in an interview
Obviously, I'll be seeing the video. We got a call we did today with something that's shop related
We are trying our best
To bring things we believe in to you guys so you guys can see them and also see them from a lens of
Hey, man, we like this stuff
You know, it's not just about getting stuff
It's like do I like this because if I didn't like it we just tell you we don't like it
Like we don't make the promises that everybody thinks it's hey, we think you have good stuff
If it arrives and it's not good stuff, then we're gonna say that we we're not gonna put
You know our reputation on the line, but i'm really excited about all the cool stuff we have in the works
But it is taking longer. I mean, I thought this would be a much easier thing
Especially with the amount of views we get and the way we kind of are and our professionalism and business
But I understand man brands have been burned. Yeah, it's been interesting time this year and in the economy and going into next year
So hyperconsort.com again go get you some of the best car care in the united states made in the united states
And we'll see everybody next week after Thanksgiving. See you guys
