Crankcase is the bottom part of the engine where the crankshaft turns. In two-stroke engines, it also holds oil that keeps parts moving smoothly.
The crankcase is the lower part of an engine housing the crankshaft and pistons. In two-stroke engines, it also serves as a reservoir for lubricating oil mixed with fuel.
