oil pump
The oil pump is a small motor that pushes oil through the engine so all parts stay lubricated. If it stops working, the engine can get damaged.
The oil pump circulates engine oil under pressure to lubricate moving parts. A failed oil pump can lead to low oil pressure and engine damage.
