out lap
An out lap is the first lap you do on a race track after leaving the pits. It's usually slower so your car's tires and brakes get warm and ready.
An out lap is the initial lap when a driver leaves the pit lane and enters the track, typically done at a controlled pace to warm up the tires and brakes before pushing hard.
