shift linkage
The shift linkage is the part that lets you move gears in a manual car. If it’s broken, shifting can be hard or the gear might not change properly.
A shift linkage is a mechanical component that connects the gear shifter to the transmission, allowing the driver to select gears. Damage can cause difficulty in shifting or loss of gear engagement.
