Too Afraid to Ask

A supercharged engine is one that has a device that pushes more air into the engine, which helps it produce more power. This makes the car faster and more responsive.

Technical Definition

A supercharged engine uses a mechanical compressor to force more air into the combustion chamber, allowing for more fuel to be burned and thus increasing power output. This results in improved performance compared to naturally aspirated engines.
