What remains negotiable, according to the same source, are the trade-in value, the loan terms, and the finance-and-insurance office add-ons, the three levers dealers use once the selling price is locked.
"It is a fixed price. And it is several thousand dollars less than I even pay for cars from Ford."
The promotion arrives against a difficult sales backdrop: CarEdge Live reported Ford's first-quarter sales fell 8.8% year over year, with F-Series truck sales down 16% and electric vehicle sales off 70%.
