Today's cross-show story:

Kia EV3 Eyes Sub-$30K US Price While EV4's Korean Origin Keeps It Out of the Market

Kia's EV3 is expected to land in the US under $30,000, according to Kilowatt: A Podcast about Electric Vehicles, making it one of the more competitive entries in the affordable EV segment.

The EV4, by contrast, is built in Korea and blocked by tariffs from reaching American buyers, as Unnamed Automotive Podcast noted.

A Chat with Jill Ciminillo

"I think this will probably be priced under $30,000."

That same podcast detailed the EV4's specs for the Canadian market: a single front-wheel-drive motor producing 201 horsepower and 209 pound-feet of torque, with an entry-level 58.3 kWh battery good for around 240 miles of range, starting at roughly $32,000 CAD including delivery. The two models together show how manufacturing origin and trade policy, not just specs or price, are deciding which affordable EVs actually reach US driveways.
