enclosed trailer. That's a sweet rig. We're getting that thing. It tilts for makes for

on the side. It's got the side door. It's got the side just work thing. The side doors the

move and it's got we got one with an awning on the side. So it's like a canopy so we can hang

out outside under the car into there and stuff shaded. Whoa. Pretty sweet dude. Right. Yeah.

And you said we needed a truck but this person is rendering. Yeah towing with a disco. That looks

like a discovery. Yeah. No. I think I believe this trailer weighs like twenty five hundred

pounds. So I think if you're towing a light car then you we wouldn't need much much car at all.

We do need something to tow with at some point trying to figure out what that is this the

website which is for me and the UK because this company is originally UK based although they

distribute in America. They're towing it with a discovery in this one they're trying towing

an Audi R8 with a discovery and if they can do that then we certainly don't need much. Well

they're good at the caravan thing and they only have pickup trucks there. I haven't. Well yeah

but if we we don't fucking if they don't need a pickup truck we don't need to pick up truck. No

they don't. The American way is you get an F 350. Oh yeah. And you tow two motorcycles. So you

know. So the other night I went to dinner with Sergio and his family and I learned that Sergio's

mom raises horses in Malibu and Sergio's mom who I don't want to guess how old she is but she's

the mother of someone in his fifties. So right. So Sergio's mom raises horses shows them whatever

and I was talking to Sergio about this trailer and he goes oh you should talk to my mom about

a tow rick. And I was like oh yeah. And I go I miss a Ciderman like you know I'm here's what

we're doing like what should she's like I only tow with the Cummins. She's like I've had I have this

many and and she's talking about and and she her ranch. I don't want to say where it is but it's

on a it's in Malibu and it's on a road that it's right. OK. Yeah. You know what I just said. OK

it's on that road at the top. OK. Yeah. And I was like so what's your main rig. And she goes my

primary is a Dodge thirty five hundred. Excuse me. Dodge fifty five hundred towed her home with a

horse trailer. Wow. It's 60 feet long and she drives that motherfucker full of horses up and down

that road. Isn't that some shit. Wow. So it's like one of these things. This is enormous. Oh I didn't

want to go to you. Yeah. Yeah. It's that with a horse trailer. That is enormous. Fucking crazy. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean it's like it's like an RV. You would rent the RV body that you would rent. Yeah. But with you

know giant truck full of powertrain. Yeah. And it's like a trailer. And I'm with the road that we're

talking about is like one of the three or four tightest roads in the Malibu canyons. Yeah. If you ask me to

drive this up that road without a trailer you can't do that. It's yeah. So I was like OK you know Mrs.

Siderman that might be like a little overkill for what I was like. What about for just like a single car

you know trailer a regular trailer. And she was like you should probably get you know twenty five hundred. And I

was like really I'm only towing like max max like seven eight thousand pounds but more more like six maybe

even five. Yeah. And she was like you should still get a diesel. I kind of I mean I always think having more

tow than you need is nice. You know when you if you're going up like the grapevine or something. Yeah. And you

add throttle and you don't even feel the weight of the trailer through the truck just like the sturdiness of

the frame and all that stuff. I mean that's optimal. So what you're saying is Bentley. Definitely a Bentley. That is

not what I'm saying. I would like to still get paid and not spend all the money this year on our tow vehicle. I

didn't use the average horse weighs about a thousand pounds. So she's towing the horse. Well she if she has four

horses back there plus the trailer maybe she's around six to eight thousand pounds and she needs all that that

power. I mean yeah optimally but also like how much time will we spend towing like that. That's very

easy doing this a lot like I don't I don't want to buy like like this isn't like I'm not doing this today but

like I kind of want to buy something that can be used as a fucking car. Yes. Like something much like the most

regular thing I can get not the what if I have to do 90 over the grapevine. Of course that's not like I mean maybe

once but like there are press trucks if we need such things. So like it's more like what kind of like SUV or

you know half ton or maybe even like smaller than half ton. Like I was like kind of Maverick tow this fucking

thing or like is it a Ranger. Like what is the like pretty much what is the most the minimum vehicle I need to be

able to like tow this thing. Ford Maverick max towing is 4,000 pounds. That's a no. That's a no. What's the eco

boost. Yeah. Yeah that's a no. Well let's see. That was AI announced. The drive says a stock Maverick and tow

8,000. Really. Yeah. But it's still but the title is but it's still a bad idea. So you want something a little more

than that. All right. Well we will do some homework. We have to do some towing homework. Like I think I think

in the trip. Like if you want to use it as a place to get out of heat you know if you're out there at Willow and

top you have buildings there. There's buildings there. It's like if we go somewhere else if we go somewhere else I

don't know if we'll be hanging out by the trailer unless we go side by side. Right. You know exactly if we because

that's because that's why it opens up like demos for like because if we have our own trailer true we can call up

Polaris or whoever. Yeah they have these things that was always the hold back. Yeah you can come get them if you've

got a trailer. Yeah well we don't have a trailer. Now we do. You see I want to try one of those giant can't

Like it probably will be a few hundred dollars because it's one or two pillows.

But your car will stand out and it'll be it'll show that, you know,

you've individualized it for you and it's not just like the same seat other people have.

great with the sparkle seats. It just made it all match. Yeah.

I think the crashes that do happen up there get a lot of coverage.

In terms of just data, it's a relatively safe section to be driving.

and you can buy a thousand horsepower at a dealership and we go,

oh, is this going to cause more and more accidents?

And you go, well, if you looked at the data of average horsepower per accident,

it's going to be slower cars or less powerful cars just because there's more of them.

Yeah. You know, and so there's just fewer people up here.

And like think about the the the gap, the the the closing gap in luxury from a

fucking Kia to a Mercedes now because of what you can do with it with a touch

screen and features and stuff like that.

And imagine if you took if you took a launcher end right now and you turned

all of the end function adjustments or like an ionic five end, which is weird

because electric billy if you took all those those adjustments that are in the

screen and made a button for them, it would be three pianos.

You know, you'd be that guy at a concert who's just like playing two different

things, it would be two now would be overwhelming.

So it took a few years for all the automakers to pivot to chase Tesla to screens.

And now it's taken a few years for them to process

people's frustration with screens and to and to pivot their product lines back to

thinking about selling or like, oh, shit, and people are still hot because that's

But I think there also there is probably some market pumping happening.

We've talked about this with what Dino's and Skyline's Koska's Koska's.

And there was a car that went up yesterday, the day before.

And the first the initial bid was like five hundred thousand dollars.

I wish I could find the listing.

And everyone went, this is almost a suspicious leap.

Like this person was trying to set the reserve even though without setting the

reserve and there's stuff like that where, you know, a dealership that deals in

like vintage exotics could just bid themselves back and forth and pump their own book.

Well, and also something nefarious in terms of this question is a pretty wide

as a pretty widespread of things here.

Like like market cornering is one thing, but like money laundering is actually kind

of a different thing.

You know, Fort nine, you watch that channel.

I know what it is motorcycle story recently about a ring of people that were

laundering money by selling motorcycles and they were and they were trading like

two year old MotoGP bikes from Ducati and some special stuff.

But the thing that kind of red flagged everyone is there was like a custom

bike shop that was taking huge deposits and huge amounts of money for like

like three times what the bike should be worth.

And it kind of got everybody's attention.

And it turns out that that's probably what was going on.

And one of the people involved was that Canadian snowboarder who just turned

himself in, yeah, I was about to say he had a warehouse full of race bikes.

It was that guy.

So that's part of how they figured out how he was moving around.

I have, I mean, not just as a fucking lefty, but I really I do think that these

big auction prices for the most part are the result of the have lots having lots.

Because look, I've done crimes before like if you're doing crimes,

trying to hide those crimes by buying shit publicly at auction isn't the best idea.

Even if you're trying to hide it by buying cars,

there's there's lots of places to buy cars fucking quietly.

You don't need to set a record at a public auction if what your goal is,

is to launder money.

You should do it quietly.

I just think that there's these small number of people for whom

Is the nine eleven Carrera S experience versus a Cayman S experience?

I mean,

20, 30 K, so you're talking about a $60,000 car versus a $40,000 car, really.

So the thing is, both of those cars, if you keep them nice or flat money,

right, pretty much or like very, very slow depreciation, if you keep them nice

and service them, right, they cost roughly the same to service and maintain.

The Carrera is going to be faster.

And because it's a small car, a nine nine seven is a pretty small car,

the Delta in size between a nine eleven and a Cayman is actually less than in the

modern era, you know, like they are actually closer in size then than they are now.

So it really depends on how much money you have.

Like if you can afford to park the extra money into the nine eleven,

I'd say probably yes, worth it.

If you like if that if that amount of money doesn't really mean something to you

to hold on to and use for your life, like and I'm not your accountant, like.

Do you think it matters what experience they want from the car?

I mean, there's a there's a lot of overlap between these two vehicles.

Like they're comfortable for long distance.

They're very sporty.

You could drive them on the track.

But one is rear engine, one's mid engine.

I think they have distinct feels in that regard.

eleven experience and get into that game?

especially at this price point?

I mean, the good thing about this type of car is if you drive it for a year,

you maintain it, whatever, like other than the taxes and the insurance and whatever,

your total cost of ownership is probably not that much.

So if you think you might like to try a Cayman, try one.

Drive it for a year. Maybe you love it.

I think maybe actually that extra 20 K to get me into that nine eleven is worth it.

And maybe it costs you a little bit of money to learn that lesson.

and in some cars like on the Miata, so when you get the club sport,

you get the better brakes, I think, and slightly better suspension and seats.

Like that, you get all of that in that package and that can help everything.

Do I buy the Corolla and a set of entry level rally style coilovers

for a moderate lift and a wheel and tire package?

using that money and saving it for repairs on the Kyan?

Of course, the Kyan repairs could easily eclipse what you could spend on rally suspension.

you've got a couple of years, unlimited miles, no worries.
