surface rust
Surface rust is a type of rust that appears on the outside of metal. It's usually not very serious and can often be fixed easily, but it does mean the metal has been exposed to moisture.
Surface rust refers to rust that forms on the outer layer of metal, often due to exposure to moisture. While it can be unsightly, it is typically less severe than rust that has penetrated deeper into the metal.
