air-cooled engine
An air-cooled engine uses the outside air to keep it from overheating, instead of a liquid like water. It’s simpler and lighter but can get hotter in hot weather.
An air-cooled engine dissipates heat directly into the surrounding air using fins and airflow, rather than liquid coolant. This design was common in classic cars like the Porsche 356 and early VW Beetles.
