engine out
“Engine out” means taking the engine out of the truck. It’s a big job, usually done when you’re doing major repairs or a swap.
“Getting the engine out” means removing the engine from the truck chassis, usually to replace major components or perform a swap. It’s labor-intensive and often requires good space, tools, and time.
