power band
The power band is the part of the engine’s speed range where it works best. If a car has a small power band, you have to keep the engine in that narrow range to get good speed.
The power band is the range of engine speeds (RPM) where a vehicle produces its optimal power and torque. A narrow power band means the engine only delivers good performance in a limited RPM window.
