trickle charge
A trickle charge is a slow way to charge. The idea is that charging slowly may be easier on the battery than charging quickly.
A trickle charge is a very low-rate charging method that adds energy slowly. In EV discussions, the point is usually whether slow charging is gentler on the battery than faster charging, especially for overnight or convenience charging.
