blower
A blower is another name for a supercharger, which is a device that forces more air into an engine to make it run faster. Some older cars had these built in by the factory.
A colloquial term for a supercharger, especially in older American muscle cars. Historically, many factory engines came with built‑in blowers to increase performance.
