consignment
Consignment means you let someone else sell your car for you. They show it to buyers and handle the sale, but you still own the car until it sells.
Consignment in car sales is when a vehicle owner entrusts a dealer or third party to sell the car on their behalf. The seller retains ownership until the car is sold, and the dealer typically takes a commission.
